Verify classpath

how do i verify this, what am i looking for:
"The following libraries/jar files must be in the container’s (OC4J) CLASSPATH:
SAW’s SOAP and reporting libs; the XML ParserV2, Apache Commons Lang V2.3, and WSDL jars; and
MapViewer’s libs."

If you did a regular installation - they should be there.....

  • Using Ant  or JUnit with Sun's Verifier

    Hi,
    I am trying to integrate Sun's J2EE "Verifier" into the build process. I am trying two different approaches, but am encountering similar issues.
    Using Ant
    One approach I am trying is with an Ant target. I keep getting this error "No local string for com.sun.enterprise.tools. ....etc...". I suspect the problem is with the setting of J2EE_HOME or the setting of a system property "com.sun.enterprise.home". I see this is set in verifier.bat...and I have decompiled Verifier.class and I see that this environmental variable is read at line 377 of Verifier.class. I am trying to set it...but ....there is the error that seems to indicate that the property file LocalStrings.properties is not being found. Of course the Verifier works when I run verifier.bat.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <project name="verify" default="verify" basedir = "C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\">
    <target name="verify">
    <java fork="yes" classname="com.sun.enterprise.tools.verifier.Verifier">
    <classpath>
    <pathelement path="C:/j2sdkee1.3.1/lib/j2eetools.jar" />
              <pathelement path="c:/j2sdkee1.3.1/lib/j2ee.jar" />
    </classpath>
    <sysproperty key="com.sun.enterprise.home" value="C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\" />
         <sysproperty key="J2EE_HOME" value="C:\j2sdkee1.3.1\" />
         <sysproperty key="LOCALEDIR" value="C:\j2sdkee1.3.1/lib/locale/" />
    <arg value="C:/Ascential/RTIServer/apps/jboss/server/default/deploy/RTI.ear"/>
         <arg value="-oc:/verifierant/result"/>
    <arg value="-f"/>
    </java>
    </target>
    </project>
    From JUnit
    I am trying to call the main() method of the Verifier...but getting similar "No local string..." errors.
    String[] args = { "I:\Release_30Sep2003\development\deploy\build\jboss\RTI.ear",
    "-oI:\Release_30Sep2003\development\deploy\build\jboss\results",
    "-f"};
    Verifier.main(args);
    Has anyone integrated this tool into Ant or Junit that could offer me some advice?
    Thanks,
    Mike Foley

    How about running verifier.bat using ants exec task?

    Hi,

  • Regarding preverifying

    Hi,
    I was using rococo impronto simulator earlier and the code was
    working fine. Now Without rococo, I'm trying to run the code, after
    comenting out the code where I was using rococo's packages. I'm
    trying to run using J2me wtk 1.04. In my code I have imported
    javax.bluetooth, javax.microedition.*. So, i have given the .class
    file (jar file) of the Bluetooth in my class path.
    When I say javac -boothclasspath ....., it is compiling and gives out
    the class files as expected, but when I say Pre-verify -classpath.....
    it gives me the following error
    VERIFIER ERROR
    Cannot find class javax/bluetooth/BluetoothStateException
    I'm pretty sure that I have BluetoothStateException.class in the jar
    file that I have given in the classpath.
    Thank you
    -sree

    all I can say - verify again :-) even though PCs are just overgrown stupid calculators, now they know what they're saying: BluetoothStateException is not there. Check again (and try to use -cp instead of -bootclasspath). On a side note - make sure you add -target 1.1 when compiling sources from commandline. KVMs require JVM 1.1 bytecode.

  • Can not find xml file in classpath

    hi,
    have you check that all jar files are present or not.
    because when u import par file in to nwds it wont include jar files in that manully you have to import them.

  • Weird classpath issue in EAR.Some classes can access jars that others cant!

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing a very frustrating problem that's proving to be a bit of a show stopper for me. I would really appreciate some help...
    I have an EAR deployed successfully on Sun Appserver 8 which passes the tests from the sun EAR verifier tool. The ear contains a jar file that I built which has a stateless session bean, home, remote interfaces and rmi stubs, deployment descriptors, as well as some utility classes. The EAR also contains some third-party jars such as Hibernate, Log4-j, apache-commons etc etc. The jar I built has in it's manifest file, the classpath information to reference the other jars in the ear.
    The problem I am having is that one of the classes in a third-party jar (hibernate3.jar) cannot see a class in another of the third party jars (log4j-1.2.8.jar) and as a result is throwing a NoClassDefFoundError for org/apache/log4j/Layout while trying to initialise - the two jars are at the root of the EAR.
    Furthermore, my utility classes can access and use Log4j classes without any problem and logging command from those classes is output successfully to the server console. However, my session bean, which is packaged in the same jar as the utility classes, fails to log anything even though it uses exactly the same logger and log configuration as the utility classses.
    I have tried adding classpath information to the manifest of the EAR so that the third-party jars can pick it up but this makes no difference. Also, according to the EAR verifier tool, you are not allowed to put any classpath information in the EAR manifest.
    I have also tried deploying this in weblogic but am experiencing the same problem.
    If anyone can offer any advice or solutions I would greatly appreciate it.
    :)

    what´s type error have you?
    perhaps external libraries (located in classpath) invoke opsCommon.jar and config-3.0.jar classes. then, classnotfound is normal.
    and... why separate external libraries (opsCommon.jar and config-3.0.jar inside ear, and other in classpath)?

  • Classpath Error when deploying BPEL Workflow

    I am trying to deploy BPEL workflow in my server but i encountered the following errors during the deployment :-
    Redeploying on /Farm_BPM/BPM/BPM_AS ...
    Redeploying on "/Farm_BPM/BPM/BPM_AS" failed!
    Error during deployment/undeployment: Error occurred during deployment of component: SimpleTestProcess to service engine: implementation.bpel for composite: SimpleTest: ORABPEL-01005
    Failed to compile bpel generated classes.
    failure to compile the generated BPEL classes for BPEL process "SimpleTestProcess" of composite "default/SimpleTest!0.1*soa_f3fe5417-236c-4222-b281-17c2e0c0393c"
    The class path setting is incorrect.
    Ensure that the class path is set correctly. If this happens on the server side verify that the custom classes or jars which this BPEL process is depending on are deployed correctly. Also verify that the run time is using the same release/version.
    However, it is working fine within my local JDeveloper suite, as I preloaded the classpath for my project. If I bundled the libraries (JAR files) in the SCA-INF/lib folder, then it can work well. but the file size will be big and not well-maintained.
    May I know how can I set the CLASSPATH for this BPEL component within SOA Suite 11g running on Weblogic 11g? I tried a couple of ways, but still not working fine.

    I have created numerous BPEL processes in JDev 11.1.1.5.0 which im trying to deploy to the SOA domain on Weblogic 10.3.4.0 however each time the same error appears:Did you check server log? Exactly which class it is not able to find?

    As you can see, your pre-requisite checks are failing because you are not on supported OS version.
    Please verify supported OS from SRSP guide (If you are on prior Siebel version 8.1.1.8) or Certification tab for all siebel versions from 8.1.1.9.
    I hope it helps.

    }i have compiled sucessfully and put the clsss file into c:\my\xxx\yyy\zzz folder.
    now i want to import it in another class
    like...
    package xxx.yyy; // note this
    import xxx.yyy.zzz.*; // note this
    class B
    // some code
    // creating instance of class A here
    }question is how do i compile and run it ?
    i am at c:\my---> what should be the command to compile and run the above code?
    plz give me the explicit command so that i can test and verify . i have given the dir structure.
    i have tried several ways but got class not found exception and errors . i know its a classpath problem but i could not figure out what should i type at the c:\my prompt.
    can u give exact command to run and compile the above code in steps ?
    thanx

    question is how do i compile and run it ?You don't with that code. You've defined class A to have "package visibility," meaning it can't be used from outside its package. You should declare it with public visibility instead, like "public class A {...".
    Once you change that, use these commands to compile and run:c:\my\>javac xxx/yyy/zzz/A.java
    c:\my\>javac xxx/yyy/B.java
    c:\my\>java xxx.yyy.B

  • How do you add a jar to the classpath?

    I'm trying to load a driver for MySQL, but the program doesn't seem to find the driver. I get an exception everytime. I keep seeing references about adding the jar (mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar) to the classpath, but I don't know how to do that. Also, do I only that the jar, because there are other files along with it (src, com, etc.). I'm running Windows XP and using Eclipse.
    import java.sql.*;
    public class Driver {
         public static void main (String[] args) {
              try {
                   // Step 1: Load the MySQL driver.
                   System.out.println("BP01");
                   Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
                   System.out.println("BP02");
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   System.err.println("Got an exception! ");
                   System.err.println(e.getMessage());
    }

    In Windows Explorer or the Command Prompt, try changing your directory to what the message about not finding the JAR in the repository says (C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Desktop\mysql-connector-java-5.1.6\) and verify that something called mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar! exists there.

  • Post jDev 903 cleanup: Classpath and Path.

    Having installed the new [complete set] 9.0.3 and having decided NOT use 9.0.2 or other developer suite tools, it's time to clean up my path and classpath settings.
    Please help me sort it all out. Thanks.
    Per instructions I did not install the new 9.0.3 into any existing oracle_home. The home_dir for the 9.0.2 and complete suite is: E:\Programs\OraDevSuite.
    My Classpath has three entries: (formatted for easy reading on the forum.)
    CLASSPATH=
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jlib\bigraphbean.jar;
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jlib\LW_PfjBean.jar;
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jlib\bigraphbean-nls.zip
    Questions: 1. Can (Should) I throw these out? 2. Do I need anything else in the classpath? (The java command line uses the -classpath parameter anyhow.)
    Here are the PATH settings (in the order maintained by the os). This really needs to be cleaned up. I have added my question on each line. Sounds like alot of questions but many are the same type.
    Path=
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\bin; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jdk\jre\bin; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jdk\jre\bin\classic; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jdk\jre\bin\classic; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\jlib; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\Programs\OraDevSuite\bin; (Old suite: Good-bye?)
    E:\ORACLE\bin; ( How do I verify if this is needed by 9iDB or OEM?)
    C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.3.1\bin; ( Since 9.0.3 comes with its own can I REMOVE this FROM THE DISK? )
    C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.8\bin; ( Can I remove this from the disk? )
    C:\WINDOWS\system32;
    C:\WINDOWS;
    C:\My Programs\Java\sdk1_3\bin; ( Can I remove this from my disk? )
    **********THANK YOU!**************
    -Nat

    If you downloaded the full version of 9.0.3 Dev Preview (the 160MB sized-one), then it's completely self-contained. Just unzip it and go. Anything else can be removed.
    If you downloaded the "base" version, then you'll need to keep a JDK 1.3 around and edit your .\jdev\bin\jdev.conf file to SetJavaHome to point at your JDK home location.

  • Unable to set classpath in Ant Script to compile AIA related api

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to build customized ant scripts to compile,build & deploy (oracle 11g)AIA application using ANT tool.To compile composite application,"scac" target name is used.This scac will refer the classpath which was set at ant-sca-compile.xml.scac is compiling all integartion artifacts except AIA related api.I added aia.jar to classpath in ant-sca-compile.xml.still,scac is not recognizing aia.jar
    I am getting below compilation problem
    scac:
    [scac] Validating composite : 'F:\AIA_Dev\BBProcessSupplierAppln\SyncSupplierPartyBBProvABCSImpl\bin/..//composite.xml'

    Please let me know any body have faced above problem & resolved it.It is consuming more time.It would be appreciable,if any body provides solution for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    How are you referring to the class path. I have created my custom build file and I refer like this.
    <path id="classpath">
      <pathelement location="${oracle.home}/lib/aia.jar"/>
      <pathelement location="${oracle.common.home}/modules/org.apache.commons.logging_1.0.4.jar"/>
    </path> oracle.home is the location where my aia.jar resides.
    In the compile-classes target I have
    <!--Target for Class path details -->
    <target name="compile-classes">
      <mkdir dir="${sca-inf.classes.dir}"/>
      <javac destdir="${sca-inf.classes.dir}"   classpathref="classpath"
             debug="on"                         nowarn="${javac.nowarn}"
             deprecation="${javac.deprecation}" encoding="Cp1252"
             source="1.6"                       target="1.6">
        <src path="${src.dir}"/>
      </javac>
    </target> Regards,

  • Verify a jar's manifest class-path

    I want to verify a jar file's manifest class-path. By that I mean I want to verify that every import of every class in the jar file is reachable on the classpath specified in the jar file's manifest. I tried using a ClassLoader to load every class in the jar file and that does indeed catch a few errors (imported classes that are not on the classpath), but it does not catch them all -- I have situations where loading the class works fine, but when the code is executed, I get NoClassDefFoundError because an imported class is missing from the classpath. I have tried things like calling getDeclaredMethod() on the loaded class to sortof force all the imports to be resolved, but that apparently does not work.
    So, can someone tell me how to sortof "force" a loaded class to reference/validate all its imports?
    Thanks,
    Lee

    Well yes, I know that executing the code would do it. But I'm not in a position to execute the code -- I'm doing this during a build and want to verify that I've built all the jars properly and have all the right classpaths. It's actually quite easy to use ANT to compile and create jar files that produce NoClassDefFoundError at runtime, due to leaving needed classes from the jar, or from bogus classpaths in the jar's manifest.
    So, I was hoping there was some other way to do this. Perhaps I need to do something ugly like examining the bytecodes of each method...
    Thanks,
    Lee
