Verity Collection dropped during scheduled task.

I have a verity collection that I have scheduled to refresh every night at 2am.  Over the past week, when it is scheduled to kick off, it is dropped from the "Verity Collections" window and in the error report, it states that the collection in question does not exist.
I've gone back to the directory on the server and the said collection folder is still there, but does not show in the "Verity Collections" in CF Admin.
I've created another "version" of the collection and manually kicked off the task and the collection does refresh.  When the scheduled task kicks off again at the 2am mark, the same error happens again and the colection does not show in the Verity Collections window.
Any ideas?
Thanks
DarrellA

I'll restate this in simpler fashion.
Can you retrieve MX 7 verity search results on a MX 6.1
server?
Can this be done via CFHTTP or any other similar method?
Thanks

  • GPP Scheduled Task Fails in Group Policy Modeling depending on DC

We have multiple domain controllers running at a 2003 functional level.
We have 1 DC running Server 2003 x86 SP2 and the rest run Server 2008 (maybe R2)
I created a GPO that includes a Scheduled Task Group Policy Preference under Computer Configuration.
In order to test this I used Group Policy Modeling in the GPMC on a 2008 R2 Machine where I am editing Group Policy.
If I run the modeling (perform the simulation on the 2003 DC it fails. (Note I am modeling the GPO for a different computer, not the 2003 SP2 DC, I am running the modeling for a Workstation)
Information from the Component Status on the Summary Tab of the Modeling Report
    Component Name Status
    Group Policy Infrastructure Success
    EFS recovery Success (no data)
    Group Policy Scheduled Tasks Failed
Group Policy Scheduled Tasks failed due to the error listed below and failed to log resultant set of policy information.
Additional information may have been logged. Review the application event log on the domain controller on which the simulation was run for events between 2/28/2014 10:07:36 AM and 2/28/2014 10:07:36 AM.
    Registry Success
    Security Success
Info on the Settings Tab of the Modeling Report below.
An error has occurred while collecting data for Scheduled Tasks.
    The following errors were encountered:
An unknown error occurred while data was gathered for this extension. Details: Invalid class
If I run the modeling using a 2008 DC to perform the simulation it works fine.
Per the instructions on the Summary Tab regarding the scheduled task failure I look at the event log on the 2003 domain controller and this is what i find.
The event I get on the 2003 DC is 8196 and I will place the details below.
    Event Type:   Error
Event Source:           Group Policy Scheduled Tasks
    Event Category:        Disk
    Event ID:       8196
    Date:              2/27/2014
    Time:             4:48:47 PM
    User:              NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Computer:     <computername>
    Description:
The client-side extension caught the unhandled exception '0xC0000005' inside: 'threadEntry : client main' See trace file for more details. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
So, should I be concerned that this is failing on the 2003 DC, does this mean that if my workstations authenticate to my 2003 DC that the preference will not process?
I was reading that in 2003 client side extensions were not there and can be installed, would this make the modeling succeed?
How do I get verified, I tried to post screenshots, but I could not. :(

    Hi Jonathan,
As you have found the reason, I want to confirm whether the issue has been fixed.
In fact, for Windows Server 2003 to apply or process Group Policy Preferences settings, we must install client-side extensions of GPP for Windows Server 2003.
Although this is not related to this case, for your information, if our clients are Windows XP or Windows Vista, to use GPP, we must install client-side extensions for these
    workstations respectively.
Regarding GPP, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • ASCP Legacy Collections Dropping Routings with Alternate Resources

    SR# 6793428.993, (11.5.10.2)
How can we load routings with alternate resources from a legacy instance without
    dropping duplicate resources.
It appears that the last alternate routing is loaded - dropping all the other routings.
When uploading routings, through legacy collection, having alternate resources, 'duplicate' resources are dropped during ODS Load phase.
In staging data seems to be ok after Pre-Processing.
Standard collection with identical routing does not drop thee alternates.
    Requirement is:
Item has one operation with four (4) scheduled resources A,B,C,D. There is alternate resource E for resource A. So we should have either combination A,B,C,D or E,B,C,D.
There can be multiple alternate resources for A
    Customer has:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.4
    The latest release is:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.17
The code performing the legacy collection is identical.

    Partha,
Thanks for the response. What we want to achieve is to be able to run all these lines in parallel, which can certainly be done by using alternate resource. I've infact setup alternate resource for the below scenario but not able to get them running in parallel. Alternate resource will work only in case when primary resource doesn't have any capacity.
In this below case, ASCP was using 100% capacity for primary while for alternate resource it was suggesting to use anyone of them rather than equally divide the demand on them.
Let me know if you need more details but I couldn't find anyway to model this scenario in ASCP current configuration.
    Thanks

  • Error while registering plugin for custom schedule task

    Hello,
I am trying to register a plugin for creating a custom scheduled task. I have referred to the document
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e14309/refsched.htm
    Followed the below steps-
    1. Updated the task.xml as below taken from MDS database
    <task>
    <name>AC Target Source Reconciliation</name>
    <class>com.cgc.iam.customconnector.ac.ReconACTarget</class>
<description>This schedule task reconciles the active users from AC to OIM. This is a one time initial recon</description>
    <retry>0</retry>
    <parameters>
    <string-param required="true" helpText="IT Resource">IT Resource</string-param>
    <string-param required="true" encrypted="false" helpText="FileName">FileName</string-param>
    <string-param required="true" helpText="Admin">Admin</string-param>
                   <string-param required="true" helpText="AdminPassword">AdminPassword</string-param>
    <string-param required="true" helpText="ConfigurationLookup">ConfigurationLookup</string-param>
                   <string-param required="true" helpText="FilePath">FilePath</string-param>
                   <string-param required="true" helpText="ResourceObject">ResourceObject</string-param>
    </parameters>
    </task>
         <task>
    <name>ACRoleReconTask</name>
    <class>com.cgc.iam.customconnector.ac.ReconACRoles</class>
<description>This scheduled task will reconcile the ACGroups and AC Roles from a csv file that is stored at a shared location</description>
    <retry>0</retry>
    <parameters>
    <string-param required="true" helpText="Admin">Admin</string-param>
                   <string-param required="true" helpText="AdminPassword">AdminPassword</string-param>
                   <string-param required="true" helpText="FilePath">FilePath</string-param>
    <string-param required="true" helpText="GroupLookup">GroupLookup</string-param>

                   <string-param required="true" helpText="RoleTableName">RoleTableName</string-param>
    </parameters>
    </task>
    2. Imported the task.xml into MDS.
    3. created the plugin.xml as below-
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <oimplugins xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <plugins pluginpoint="oracle.iam.scheduler.vo.TaskSupport">
    <plugin pluginclass= "com.cgc.iam.customconnector.ac.ReconACTarget" version="1.0.1" name="scheduler element"></plugin>
    <plugin pluginclass= "com.cgc.iam.customconnector.ac.ReconACRoles" version="1.0.1" name="scheduler element">
    </plugin>
    </plugins>
    </oimplugins>
    3. created the plugin.zip with the folder structure as-
    plugin.zip
    plugin.xml
    lib
    jar files
    4. set ant properties
    5. run the command
    java -jar ../../../modules/com.bea.core.jarbuilder_1.7.0.0.jar
    4. registered plugin using ant utility.
Now, I am getting the below exception-
    oracle.iam.platform.utils.NoSuchServiceException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
    Please help.

  • [Forum FAQ] Group Policy Preferences Scheduled Tasks Item not working when the option Run whether user is logged on or not is selected

    Scenario:
We use one of the following Group Policy Preferences Scheduled Tasks item to deploy a task to clients:
Computer Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Scheduled Task (At least Windows 7)
Computer Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Immediate Task (At least Windows 7)
User Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Scheduled Task (At least Windows 7)
User Configuration -> Control Panel Settings -> Scheduled Tasks -> New -> Immediate Task (At least Windows 7)
(Note that on some platforms, "At least Windows 7" is replaced with "Windows Vista and later.")
After designating a user account to run the task, we select “Run whether user is logged on or not” option, and “The Do not store password…”
check box is automatically grayed out (See Figure 1).
    Figure 1
After finishing configuring the task item, on a client, we run command
gpupdate/force to forcefully update group policy. However, on the client, when we check if the task is listed in Task Scheduler snap-in, the task is not displayed, and when we run
gpresult/h report.html to collect group policy result for troubleshooting, we see an error as similar as shown in the following figure (Figure 2).
    Figure 2
    Cause:
To make the scheduled task run whether the user is logged on or not, we need to store the password of the designated user account. However, for the content of the scheduled
task item is stored in Sysvol where it’s not safe to store passwords, this function has been deprecated.
    Workaround:
We can run the task with system account
NT Authority\System, or we can use specific user accounts to run the task when the given user is logged on. (See Figure 3)

    Hello Everyone,
    Succeeded !!!!!!!
Even i was struggling with this same Problem to execute a batch via Window scheduler and set the setting to "Run whether the user is logged in or not".
I tried many time but the batch runs with " Run
whether user is logged on" and not with "Run
whether user is logged on or not".
what i discovered is that there was one mapped drive
path in my batch file which was not the complete path like y:/AR.qvw actually what i did i changed that map path to the complete path like \\servnamename\d$\AR.qvw and the batch executed successfully with the setting "Run
whether user is logged on or not"
    The
conclusion is that check the dependency of the script on external resources because when you check this option "Run
whether user is logged on or not" It actually conflicts. This my discovery.
    If
you have any question write me on [email protected]
    Thanks
    & Regards,
    Arun

  • Have you ever seen a 24+ hour delay on a scheduled task to patch and reboot your server?

Our OS admins set up a schedule so that our SharePoint servers would patch and reboot once a month on the weekend during a scheduled time.
This past weekend, 3 of the 4 SP 2010 servers in the farm patched and rebooted as expected.
One of the servers (this is Windows 2012) was patched - but the reboot didn't occur until over 48 hours later.
I don't see anything in the event logs or the 14 hive logs that indicates the reason for the delay. The OS admins verified that the reboot was scheduled to occur at the scheduled time.
Has anyone else encountered anything like this?

My OS Admin has requested I correct one thing in this question.
    > It isn’t really a ‘scheduled task’ that is forcing the machine to reboot. WSUS is sending patches to the machine based on registry settings.
    >When it is done, the machine is supposed to reboot within 15 min.
    > Also, in our case the patches installed around 6pm on the 1st and the machine rebooted on the 4th at  around 9:40 am.
    > This means about 62+ hours had passed.

  • Creating a scheduled task to sync phone's using PC...

I have two NOKIA (bluetooth) Phones and want to create a scheduled task to synchronise their agenda to outlook without user involvment. Using PCSync2 and some batch file I can get the synchronisation to work.
One problem however remains. When both telephones are connected then a "phone selection" window appears. You have to manually choose which telephone to use. This makes the scheduled (automatic) task to wait for user involvment.
    I have two questions:
    1
are there any commandline parameters or registry settings to make clear which telephone to use during the next sync, and the selection window not to appear?
    2
Are there any commandline parameters or registry settings to have PC Suite think that just one telephone is present (that the  second one is temporary inactive or switched off). Then again the selection window would not appear.

Here is a functioning task It can be easily edited in PowerShell or in notepad to alter the timing

  • Does 2012 OSD get around requirements to get to the MP during the task sequence?

Currently right now I am working in an environment where we are on SCCM 2007, but will be going to 2012 next year. We are in the process of trying to make it so we can build on a secure network that cannot route to any other network. I am prepared to put
a DP out on this same network, but the problem I am running into is that during the task sequence starting, it downloads the task sequence from the MP, not the DP as it is not associated with the package. The MP is not on the same un-routable network. We will
need to have about 6 or so of these, so we do not want to setup 6 MP because now you are looking at not only 6 primary site licenses, but 6 SQL installs (Our environment will not let me get away with doing SQL express for support reasons) which adds up quickly.
Below is a link to exactly what I am speaking about:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2009/04/16/configmgr-2007-primary-site-mp-is-used-for-the-task-sequence-even-when-deploying-osd-images-to-secondary-sites.aspx
What I am wondering is if SCCM 2012 OSD was structured differently in a way that access to the MP is no longer necessary during the task sequence process (say for example the task sequence xml is replicated to DPs too)?
    Thanks.

My apologizes. I was meaning to say Primary, Secondary Sites. Not MPs. I brought this up to give reference to idea about the boundaries that I am going to have to use to prevent these clients from contacting DPs they they can't route to.
The idea behind getting off the build network and onto a prod is that security requirements from my companies Infosec require that we limit the amount of traffic on production networks. The idea is that the server be built on the build network, disconnected
and brought into prod. The whole time the MP would be the same, but the DP would switch based on the prod network they were brought into as DP will reside in these prod networks which will get flipped over by the boundary for the prod subnets. Once on the
prod network they would be able to contact the MP.
I would love to do stand-alone media, this is one of the first roads I started looking down as I have done them in the past for offline builds, but I need the machine to auto assign its hostname from a external servers that will script the build. The build
process we are trying to put into place will be started from an external website. My first thought was to have it add the machines to a collection and add a variable that would be turned into a task sequence variable during the TS and use it for the hostname
when it attempt to apply the Windows settings. The only way I think I could get this to work would be to write a script that is executed during the task sequence that would match the MAC address of the machine and assign the hostname by calling on another
share that is written to by the external website with the MAC and hostnames. The only problem that I cannot get around is that this build process needs to be fully automated and this is for both virtual and physical. I have no problems mounting a stand-alone
build ISO using a script for VMWare, but the problem starts when I look at the physical and limitations of scripting for both iLo and iDRAC for performing this step. iLo can be done, but iDRAC is limited.
As for a reverse-proxy I will not be able to look at that. They have specific requirements against using reverse-proxies in only specific situations and this it not allowed. I got turned down on this one. This requirement is created by a federal regulation
    my company has to follow.

  • A resource assignment for new task during another task MS Project 2010

I would like to assing a new task during another task.
Resource A is assigned Task X from May 12th - May 16th. 5 hours per day.
I would like to assing new Task Y for May 14th. It will take 7 hours. So I would like to set up in MS Project 2010 as:
    May 12th Task X: 5 hours
    May 13th Task X:7 hours
    May 14th Task Y:7 hours
    May 15th Task X:8 hours
    May 16th Task X:5 hours
I set up Task X for Resource A as from May 12th - May 16th working hours as 25 hours in gant chart.
Then I set up Task Y for Resource A as May 14th working hours as 7 hours in gant chart.
I see Resource is as follows.
    May 12th Task X: 5 hours
    May 13th Task X:5 hours
    May 14th Task X:5 hours Task Y:7 hours  -> Total 12 hours
    May 15th Task X:5 hours
    May 16th Task X:5 hours
Please let me know how I set up what I would like.

    2 X options:
    1) You may be tracking too granularly.  A task should create something and then hand off to another task.  in this case, you may as well just combine them into a single task for about a week or so.  Most companies don't track hours per day
that granularly as well.  I'd look to schedule by the week.
    2) Split the tasks into multiple tasks and establish dependencies between them.  Assign the resource to each task at different amounts of work.

  • Question on Cimsession code running as Schedule task

#I have a scheduled task running that calls a ps1 file to collect zone data. The task is set to run whether I'm logged in or not. I noticed that if I add -Cimsession to the code, it will only collect the data when I'm logged onto the machine where the Scheduled
    task is running from.
    Get-DnsServerStatistics -CimSession (Get-Content c:\serverlist.txt) -ZoneName test.local | Out-File -Append test.local.csv
#However, when I change the code from -Cimsession to foreach, it collects data even if I'm not logged in. Is this an expected behaviour?
    foreach ($server in Get-Content c:\serverlist.txt) { Get-DnsServerStatistics -ComputerName $server -ZoneName test.local | Out-File -Append test.local.csv }

It is a sched task issue and not a scripting issue.  Post in the windows forum for guidance on creating tasks.
Run when logged on is an option.  Uncheck it.

I have a batch file that writes to a file, when I click it manually it works. However when I have it set in a scheduled task it will create the file but it will not write to the file.
    How can I fix this?

    Hi,
    1.
Please try to make sure the
    Task Scheduler: Service is running.
For details: run 'services.msc', Scroll down to the 'Task Scheduler' service, Check the 'Startup Type' column, The 'Startup Type' should be set to "Automatic",
    Check the 'Status' column.
If the service is started, it will list 'Started' in the 'Status' column.
    2.
Please try to make sure Group Policy preventing the user to run the task.
    3.
Please try to make sure UAC has been disabled.
    4.
    Please try to enabled the
policy Inclusion list for moderate risk file types, and fill ‘.bat’ in the blank.
    For details:
User Configuration -> Administrator Templates -> Windows Components -> Attachment Manager

  • Calling schedule task on server

I have a question about schedule task on server and semaphore operation on server.
For example, I have 10 lab computers and 1 server.  All the lab computers will do the same thing at different/same time through a LabVIEW exe.  They would generate some data, put them in the database, and access the html that the server has generated with the most recent data in the database.  I want to do the following:
    1. At the end of the program on the lab computer, I want it to trigger the scheduled task on the server, so that the html will get updated with the newest data.  How do I do that?
    2. Since multiple lab computers can run at the same time, I want to create a semaphore that will allow only one lab computer access the scheduled task on server at a given time, and the rest of the computers have to wait.  It is a semaphore condition, but I am not sure how to do this in a server context.
    Thanks!
Kudos and Accepted as Solution are welcome!

The VI server approach sounds great.  The server will contain a VI that wait for a notification from a lab computer, and the server VI will run when it receives a notification.  Then, the server VI will send another notification back when the update is competed.  I can send a server/lab computer specified message within the notified to tell the notification apart.  I noticed that when multiple lab computers are sending notification to server at approximately the same time, some of the notification is dropped.  I think a notifier alone may not work for my application.
I think I need a semaphore to restrict access, since the lab computer will wait if a semaphore is taken; and a notifier from the server when the server is done with the task.  Did I over complicate things?  What do you think?
If you haven't yet determined the communication mechanism, then how were you able to notice that some notifications are dropped?
Using VI Server there's no need for a semaphore; LabVIEW will handle it for you.  VI Server documentation and examples are included with LabVIEW.  My suggested approach is:
In the server program, create an action-engine type VI that stores a reference to a queue.  In your main server VI, create the queue, then store the reference to it in the action engine.  The action engine should have a second action to enqueue data.  Each of the client computers will obtain a reference to that subVI.  When the client completes its task, it calls that subVI - remotely, by reference using VI server, and passing the data to enqueue.  The server VI waits for new data in that queue and updates the HTML file as new data arrives.  If you only need the latest data from the most recent client connection, you could use a notifier instead of a queue.  LabVIEW will prevent more than one client from running the VI at the same time, the same way it does in a normal LabVIEW program that tries to run the same non-reentrant VI in multiple places concurrently.  This happens quietly, without generating an error, and you don't have to manage it at all.

  • Scheduled task won't run .bat file

Hi. On Windows Server 2008 I have a scheduled task that calls a .bat file. The fist step in the .bat file is write to a log file to the same directory in which the .bat file exists. This allows me to find out if it is ever run. When the .bat file is run from a command prompt it runs as expected writing to the log file and completing its actions. My problem is that when I run the scheduled task manually or allow it to run when scheduled it appears to run but the .bat file is never run. No log file is ever created. The History tab in the properties of the scheduled tasks shows the task being started and running then completing with an operation code of 2. I've disabled the UAC for the user account. I've set the task to run as the Administrator user and verified the permissions for that user. I know the password is correct for the task because I can make changes to the properties and save those changes with the username/password. I'm at a loss for further troubleshooting steps. Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure out why these .bat files are not being run?

So I had this problem, I double clicked on the .bat and notepad opened the .bat.  I ran through this whole long and very absorbing thread of this forum.   I wanted to save the entries that were most helpful, so I copied and pasted into
a notepad document (.txt)  I could not find a way to attach it here, so I copied and pasted that below. I called it a synopsis....  Did I spell that right?
As you can see, I added my experience at the top (A and B).  The stuff I copied is noted with the original author. This is the first time I posted anything to these here microsoft forums, although I have been telling computers what to do for 40+ years.
So hope I did not break any social protocols here.

    A) manually
This is an opinion added by Thomas Rock
        1) Open a command window (that would be cmd.exe)
        2) In the command window navigate to the directory containing the .bat file and it's dependents
               ex...  C:\Program Files (x86)\Bobs\Your\Uncle
        3) Run the .bat file by typing the name including the .bat extension (in the command window of course)
                 TheBatFile.bat
Note: Using this method, the .bat file will run in the current command window directory (the directory where the .bat file is located)
(this is the key for getting it to run in the task scheduler... Start in folder option)
    B) The double click
This is an opinion added by Thomas Rock
         1) Using Windows exlporer, find the .bat file
         2) use the mouse or other device to double click on the .bat file
         3) if it does not run (in my case the wordpad application opened the .bat file)
              a) make sure that the .bat file extension is associated with the program c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
              b) make sure the profile you are using has rights to run the cmd.exe
              c) make sure the profile has the rights to the directories, the .bat and any other objects used or affected by the .bat file processing.
    C) As a task using task scheduler
Proposed As Answer by Brian Vandemark Wednesday, September 02, 2009 9:36 PM
    1) Make sure that the task is set to "configure for Windows Vista or Windows 2008" on the first page of the task properties (under the "general" tab)
    2) Make sure that the task is set to "start in" the folder that contains the batch file:
          a) open the task properties
          b) click on the "actions" tab
          c) click on the action and then the "edit" button at the bottom.
          d) In the "Edit Action" Window there is a field for "start in (optional)" that you set to the path to the batch file.
          e) be sure to include an end backslash for the start in path "C:\dir1\dir2\"    (the last backslash is not optional)
    3) Make sure that the task is running as an account that has explicit "Full access" permissions to all these things:
          a) the .bat file itself
          b) the folder containing the .bat file
          c) the target files/folders that are affected by the .bat script.
Note:  Inherited permissions did not seem to work.
    4) Make sure that the account running the task is a member of the local "administrators" group for this machine
    5) Make sure that the task is set to "run whether logged on or not"
    6) Tick the box "Run with highest privileges".
Note: Point 6 here was from Edson F. Lima Wednesday June 30 2010 1:35 PM
The original point 6 was moved to point 7.
    7) The Task should run successfully with expected output when you right-click on the task and select "run"
If it does that then it will run successfully when you are logged off.
    D) Still another way as a task using task scheduler

This has been bugging me for 6 or 7 months.
I don't have admin rights to the box and the guy who does is very busy...
so I've felt the range of emotions mentioned above.
I tried most everything above as well. But what seemed to get my processes processing, was ...
       • on the General tab, I clicked the Change User or Group button
       • in Select User or Group (first smaller dialog box)  I clicked the Advanced... button
       • in the next Select User or Group (second bigger dialog box) I clicked the Find Now button
       • in the Search results I selected the Administrators (a group) and it returned SERVERname\Administrators into the "Enter the object name to select" entry in the previous dialog box
       • then I clicked OK and returned to the General tab above
       • the options to Run only when user is logged on and Run whether user is logged on or not are no longer available
       • then I made sure that the Run with highest privileges was checked
       • then I clicked OK and during the next scheduled time to run ... it ran
Note: See note in A) Manually above.
    E) Task scheduler recommendation
Proposed As Answer byTamusJRoyceThursday, December 01, 2011 3:42 PM
I have found .bat and .cmd files do not run correctly either.
My solution:  Don't run the batch file directly.
           Have TaskScheduler run:  cmd.exe
              with parameter:  /C YourBatchFile.bat
and start in: C:\SomePath\ (without quotes!) where C:\SomePath\YourBatchFile.bat exists.
And then select the radio button for it to run regardless if you are logged in or not.
Exit errors may not be logged to the Event Log (they weren't when the .bat ran directly from Task Scheduler when I was logged in), so I find it best to manually log your own Event in case a error occurs and you want to send an email.
REM Logs an event which causes eventlog to send an email when it fails.  Also, "/l application" needs to be lowercase.
    eventcreate /t error /id 203 /l application /d "your logged description."
And then make a completely separate task with a trigger:  On an event.  Basic Selected.  Log: Application.  Source: EventCreate. Event ID: 203.  And have the action on this task send an email (attaching any generated log files, if needed).
Hopefully helpful (took me 3 days to figure all this out...gar)

  • Configuration Manager Client Retry Scheduled Task not removed

I have had several clients where the “Configuration Manager Client Retry” scheduled task is not removed after a successful install. The task will run daily and reinstall the client
over and over until someone notices and we delete the task. So far I have only seen this happen on R2 clients (5.00.7958.1000). Has anyone ever run into this before? Thanks!

    Hi,
Has this client installed successfully during the reinstall process?(ccmsetup.log and Client.msi.log)
Please check ccrretry.box in Program Files->Microsoft Configuration Manager->inboxes and Ccm.log on the site server to get more information. SCCM might cannot detect the SMS Agent Host is running.
    Best Regards,

  • DB13 scheduled tasks not appear

    Hi people,
I´ve connected an external Oracle databases, and I´ve scheduled some maintenance tasks.
During on time, the finished and scheduled tasks appears in the DB13, but I´ve seen that the scheduled tasks off external databases not appear, but the time if scheduled tasks has passed, the tasks it´s correctly finished and appears.
The problem is that the scheduled tasks cannot edit them, because not appears in the calendar, only when they´ve finished.
    What can i do?

    >> Regarding Note 6 in Note1025707, this is for if both systems are on the same server, for example, a server has AS ABAP CEN with DBA Cockpit and has AS Java JAV. Is this your situation? The Oracle DB for the separate AS Java would still be considered "remote" in this case. I do not have experience with this situation.
For the instance, if the installation is a SAP Portal system, it is evaluated by a remote database, when you are attached it to a central monitoring system. For example you have two or more SAP installations even on a same physical host attached to the central monitoring system, those systems are evaluated as remote systems. This is because central monitoring system should be connected to these systems by remote.
I hope that I clarified the issue.
