Verizon is harassing me, how do I get them to stop?????
I'm at my wits end. I've tried everything. This is my last attempt to find some kind of solution before I resort to the expense of a lawyer.
Apparently at some point in the mists of the past, a person who worked in my building used my number as an alternate contact number on their Verizon account. I have no idea why they would do that, but it's nothing I ever agreed to and have no control over. That person has since left his job, and is no longer in my building, nor do I have any idea where he went or how to contact him.
Apparently, he's since stopped paying his Verizon bill. And now, Verizon is calling ME. Every day. And every single time, I tell them that they have the wrong person, he's not at this number, and I have no way to contact him. I've gone through numerous phone numbers, numerous 'supervisors', endless hours on the phone trying to get them to STOP CALLING ME. Every single time, they apologize and say that they're removing my number. I've even said I don't believe them because it never works, and I get "this time it will work."
Guess what? I just got another call. Again. At work. This is harassment pure and simple.
Verizon.. I CAN'T HELP YOU. I am not, nor have I ever been, responsible for this person or his bill. I have no way to contact him. Nor is it my responsibility to do so!! You've been told. You keep harassing me.
Do I need to start filing complaints with the attorney general, better business bureau, whatever agencies I can find? Is that what it will take to make you stop?
And WHY OH WHY, should I continue being a customer, after the way you're treating me?
FIX THIS NOW.
I said that to "Michelle" at extension 8117 who was supposedly a supervisor, when they woke me up Saturday morning. She swore I wouldn't get another call. Sunday was blissfully quiet, then it started up again today. So apparently no threats will work.
Today, I did file a complaint with the Attorney General.

When google decided to change their privacy and sharing policies I started using two different windows to do all internet browsing and work. I would open my gmail in one window and then do everything else in another window so that google couldn't tie my searches and other internet activity together with my google accounts.
This process was working well for me until about three days ago, when all of a sudden my two Firefox windows started sharing cookies. I know for a fact they had not been sharing cookies previously because I personally go in and clear them after I visit certain websites.
From my research on this issue it seems that in the past this was the default way all firefox windows operated (sharing cookies with one another), so I don't know why I managed to get several weeks of not sharing cookies and suddenly they are sharing. But I just want to go back to the way it was just this weekend. Please help or I'll be forced to use IE and that would be sad.Firefox stores cookies on a per site basis.
I am guessing that what you are seeing is that Google is sharing cookies across its own sites.
It is possible (an advanced subject not normally covered in this forum) to open multiple instances of Firefox with separate profiles, and thus separate cookies. A more normal method of achieving that is to use a separate user OS account. Or possibly to use firefox portable.

AGAIN! When I am playing scrabble I want to be able to go to Dictionary and Two Letter words when I am playing the game - these are being blocked much to my aggravation! How do I stop the blocking?

It is a monthly subscription service. If you wish to cancel you can either go to your iTunes account - settings and cancel auto-renewal or go to Hulu's site.

I have itunes match which inported songs from my pc. Most of the songs imported OK but many are "waiting" I have turned off itunes match then back on but nothings seems to help them inport or stop "waiting" what can I do?
Also when I did the match some songs within an alblum are listed in bold black, others more grayed. I can play the black songs but the grayed ones are inactive, any ideas for that?I had exactly the same problem. Check that the tracks still appear in your iTunes folder under Music (they should if you've re-downloaded them from the cloud). Next, look in your Movies folder and the songs might appear as individual folders. Delete those folders, empty your trash and then delete the tracks from the Movies tab in iTunes.

There are more and better popup and ad blockers for Firefox, than for Safari.
I use GlimmerBlocker for Safari, and it does alright, but I have three AdBlockers for Firefox and I see no popups. The occasional page will warn that it can't load because of the ad blockers, but that just tells me it's a site I don't want or need to visit. -

I have disabled text messages updates from Verizon, yet I keep getting them. How do I actually get them to stop?
I receive messages every time I make an update in my account and whenever I pay a bill. I have all of those message updates checked off within my account. I have also gone through turned them on, then back off again, and I still keep getting the messages.

when I get a text message from my brother or sister who have IPhones there is no text but there is a "download" button. If I tap the download button it beeps but there is no download. My galaxy note 4 uses verizon messages app. how do I get these text messages?
Picture messages without a texting plan are 25 cents each. Better than the $1.99 or $2.99 from the online store....
Attaching to an email would not work as mobile email does "do" attachments.
Sending to your online album will use text messages, I believe. Better to use a micro SD card, save to the card, and transfer them to your computer that way. -

My photos are out of chronological order after the os 5 upgrade. How can I get them back in order?
If its not possible, how do I go back to the old os?I had tried that several times with no luck. Late last night I was finally able to get through to the Verizon technical support who then called in Apple technical support. It took 1 1/2 hours for them to figure it out and guide me through a fix. So here's the deal .......... I use Yahoo mail and had left the "contacts" button in the on position. Apparently Yahoo likes to go into your contacts and gather information and can leave it in shambles. My advice is, go to settings, then mail, contacts, calendars. Select any and all of your email accounts and go in and turn off their access to your information. Leave it on for Icloud but none of the others.

I updated my iphone and most things like pictures, notes, calendar, transferred over, but I lost APPs and contacts. How can I get them back? Went to Verizon and they referred me to Apple. They said they could see the contacts had been downloaded at some point but couldn't get them.

Change your iCloud ID password: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5624. After doing so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new password.
