In the previous version i was able to close my mozilla and to open it again, the web pages which i was working with remained however i've tried many ways to have this advantage again but it is not working what can i do ???

Your webpages/tabs are still there. When you start firefox again, there is a "Restore Previous Session" icon below. If you click that, it will open up all your tabs again.

Advantages of Using Secure Connect in Cisco Jabber Version 9.0

Hello,
About a month ago we deployed Jabber for iPhone. For VPN we used Cisco AnyConnect,certificate authentication and VPN on demand. We used our MDM to deploy the certificates and AnyConnect configuration. So far everything is working as designed. Now with the release of version 9, Secure Connect is an option and I was wondering what are the advantages of using Secure Connect?

Are the all the systems using the same firewall policy. It could be one of the rules configured in the SEP client. What build version are you running? Are all systems using the same version of VPN client? As Parminder stated, you should disable the firewall and check behavior.
If the firewall is found to be the cause, you can troubleshoot by adding an "Allow All" rule to the top of the SEP policy. Moving the rule down one line at a time until the problem occurs again. Once that happens, you will have narrowed it down to the rule just above.

Advantages of using higher version of catalog Database.

Wanted to know what are the advantages of using higher version of catalog database.
for ex: my target database is 10.2.0.4 and catalog database is 11.2.0.1

The very reason is that you would be able to use all the new features offered by the current release. Like, 11gr2 offers Virtual Private Catalog which you can only use in 11.2. So its better that you move your catalog too to the higher version when you upgrade your database.

Weblogic Server Advantage version

Hi All,
I am planning to upgrade weblogic server (Base) Advantage version 6.1 SP4 to Weblogic Server Advantage 8.1 non production.
I tried logging the upgrade through the support site.
The site provided us upgrade option as
Lic, WLS Base v8.1
I would like to know if there is a difference between
WLS Base v8.1
and
Weblogic Server Advantage 8.1 non production.

1. Always go with the latest version of Weblogic Portal which is currently 10.3.2.
2. There may be many internal bug fixes from older versions that got fixed in 10.3.2. If you download or user older versions, you may need to apply all Patches for exsiting bugs. So go with latest.
3. One major difference is, latest WLP 10.3.2 uses full fledged 100% Eclipse IDE. So you are now using more standard/universal IDE. Earlier versions had BEA Customized eclipse kind of IDE we usually call Workshop. But latest uses full Eclipse IDE. Since it is Eclipse, you can add any 3rd party reusable plugins for this IDE like db explorer etc.
4. One other thing is older version of WLP used default Embedded LDAP for all security roles, policies stuff. But latest WLP 10.3.2, used RDBMS database to store all this stuff.
Bottom line, go with the latest version of WLP and you can avoid any upgrades also for some time.

CDM Advantage - Latest Version?

We have Oracle CDM Advantage Release 2.0 that contains CDM Standards and Guidelines Library Volume 4: CDM Standards V6.0.0.
My question is there a more recent version?
If so what is it? Can it be download via web?
Also the website (consulting) documentation hints of an addendum to this covering Designer 6i. Can anyone tell me where I get this and what version it contains etc.

There is an Oracle CDM Advantage addendum for 6i wich is shipped with Oracle iDevelopment Accelerators. Oracle iDevelopment Accelerators are available for purchase through your local Oracle Consulting, it cannot be downloaded via web.

Before I proceed, just to clarify your point 3 "Adding the new columns in the table ( It can be added at any place )" - yes columns can be added at any place within the CDS as you are just editing the definition file, but unless you effectively drop the entity (table) by removing entity definition, activate and then restore to rebuild table, any newly added columns will be added to end of table irrespective of position in CDS entity.

I would also only consider productive CDS with SPS07 - CDS was introduced with SPS06 and no doubt some issues were resolved with introduction of SPS07.
The CDS gives a wonderfully rich semantic view of your definitions - right click the .HDBDD artifact and select graphical view, especially if associations are implemented (SPS07).
Coming from an ABAP background I adore the concept of a data dictionary-like central repository, where you can specify types and structures later referred to in entities (tables) for consistency and ease of maintenance.
Have a go at setting up a few types and entities, change keys, add, remove and change columns (name and type), use those definitions in procedures and attribute views (later consumed by analytic and on to calculation views) for checking of dependencies. I have had issues with dependencies where I have not been able to activate .HDBDD, see SAP Hana Studio release 70 issues. Transport changes from dev to qa and check. Do you need to define entities with spatial-type columns? You cannot (ST_GEOMETRY not recognized as valid type as of 70).
You are putting all of your "eggs" in one basket. I wouldn't choose to do that with a project of any significant sizing unless a thorough P.O.C. was carried out.

We have our own customized applications in our landscape.We are not using NWDI.We use an external Version Management tool. I would like to stress out what are the advantages of using NWDI rather than the existing version management tool.I have been questioned many times as to what is the need of NWDI if we are not using Standard SAP packages.
I request all of the members to highlight some major advantages of using NWDI interms of customized applications and thinking about the future

In Version management tools we can only maintain the versions i.e, backup of our developments. but in NWDI there are four different components for different reasons
1)DTR(Design Time Repository): This is used for version controlling.
2)CMS(Change Management System):Used to transport your source code from different landscape systems.
4)CBS(Central Build Service):Used to Build all the source code which we deployed.
5)SLD(System Landscape Directory):Used to store all the standard business packages required.

I you follow the Note:338513.1 on Metalink, you can see the following:
Forms / Reports 6i patchset 16 or patchset 17 was certified to work against Oracle Server (RDBMS)+
+10g Rel 1 (10.1.x)+
Forms / Reports 6i has never been certified, nor will it ever be certified against Oracle Server (RDBMS) 10g Rel 2 (10.2.x) or Oracle Server (RDBMS) 11g (11.x).
+(This is because Forms / Reports 6i is now de-supported - see important note below)+
Important Note: Forms / Reports 6i is now de-supported e.g.
- If running in client-server mode, Forms / Reports 6i was desupported at end of January 2005
- If deploying over the web, Forms / Reports 6i (Oracle 9iAS Rel 1 Forms / Reports Services) was desupported at the end of June 2004
This means that Forms / Reports development will no longer provide an error correction service for Forms / Reports 6i (unless an organisation has purchased extended maintenance support) Therefore, Oracle strongly recommends that customers using desupported versions upgrade to a supported version e.g upgrade to Oracle Developer Suite 10g Rel 1 or 2 / Oracle Application Server 10g Rel 1 or 2

Do latest versions of iMovie & iDVD take advantage of Dual processors?

I've been using iMovie and iDVD a lot on my G4/450GHz but now want to be able to edit widescreen (16:9) video, which I'm told needs a faster processor.
I'm considering upgrading to a G5 1.8 SP (which would provide all the power I need, I think) -- there's still a few of them around. I assume that iMovie/iDVD don't really use the dual processors, or the dual core processor, to advantage. Am I correct?__
(I've only got vague answers from dealers).
In other words, if I get a G5 2.0 DP, wouldn't that be overkill?___
Same for Dual Core models?_____
(I'm not considering the iMac, which would be adequate, because it's too big -- high -- to fit in my desk-wallunit; I haven't seen a flexible stand which would allow adjusting the height of the monitor).

Very interesting, Lennart. At first blush, it looks we're getting different results.
Yesterday I checked the processor activity by watching the bars in the "Show CPU Usage" window in Activity Monitor. While rendering a special effect, both processor bars filled almost to the top, which I assumed meant iMovie was using both processors to near capacity.
Today, when I look at the CPU activity reported in the Activity Monitor window, it jumps to 180%, while yours doesn't exceed 100%. Then later, checking it again on another special effect, mine won't exceed 100%.
The difference here seems to be which special effect is working. Some use both processors, apparently, while others don't. "Edge Work" uses both, which I happened to test.
I've tested only a few built-in iMovie functions, but I can't force iMovie itself to move over 100% running its own code. Simultaneously importing a clip and rendering with the KBE, for example, doesn't go over 100%.
So apparently I happened to pick a special effect that used both processors, while iMovie itself does not use both. Both bars move in iMovie, on the other hand, so both processors appear to be working for iMovie. But as one bar goes up the other goes down, and their combined usage never exceeds 100%.
Wish I understood this better.
