Vertical-align skinning not working

I defined the following skin:
af|selectManyCheckbox::item-text {
    padding-left: 5px;
    vertical-align: 10%;
    color: #333333;
and the generated css is setting vertical-align to the default 35% value. Any reason?

Try adding
vertical-align: 10% !important;
Otherwise is most likely that you need to add the property to a different class.

Why "align" does not works in IE ?

FLV Skin not working

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to figure out why the FLV palyback skin is working
on one server and not another. Can someone please help me
understand why it isn't working on my school's web server but is
working on my commercial server with oneandone.com?

For anyone else having this problem and arriving at this page from a search, the issue is most likely due to the way Flash loads in content. When just viewing locally, in the Flash Player, runtime-loaded content will be retrieved relative to the .swf's directory.
In a browser, however, the Flash Player looks for content relative to the location of the HTML page holding the .swf, and not the directory of the .swf itself.
One (arguably dirty) way of resolving this is to move your skin.swf to the directory of the HTML page holding the .swf; like so:
Previous setup:
/index.html
/swfs/main.swf
/swfs/skin.swf
Resolved set up:
/index.html
/swfs/main.swf
/skin.swf
Another way would be to change the skin location parameter of the FLV player component inside Flash pro. But that is likely to break local playback. I'd love to hear of a more elegant solution to this issue.

Java Skin not working anymore

Hallo
Yesterday I installed Mercury Messanger 1.8 (Java app) on my MacBook Pro 17. It works fine. Then I change the skin of Mercury to Mac OS X skin an now all my Java Appl doesn't work anaymore. The all have a gray background and are not able to display any fiels, button, line, etc. Only the large OS X Windows is display.
I deleted all the mercury stuff but this doesn't help me. Also I tried to start the Java Utilites in J2SE 5.0 like Java Preferences.app and Java Cache Viewer.app but this will not work either
Is their a way to get it work? Who has experienced the same problem

I don't know what OS you are running, but you might try running the latest Combo Update and hope that it's there.
It may also have been part of the latest Jave Update for your OS, so you could try that.

IPod touch 3G displays white skin not working after update iOS 4

During update ios 5 my iPod touch displays white blank skin and not working at all. How can I solve this problem.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Vertical Touch Pad not working on my 30gb Visio

So,
For some reason, the Vertical Touch Pad on my 30gb VM is suddenly not working. I can't select any tracks or raise the volume. I did notice that, initially, I heard a fast clicking sound as if I was scrolling on the Vertical Pad. Is there a reset solution? Since I'm having the Touch pad issue, I also can't select clean up, reboot, or anything in Recovery Mode. Any ideas?

Report Column Heading Alignment - Center Not Working Correctly

I am using Apex 2.1 (XE) and now have an application with about 30 pages. I've noticed that some of my reports which have columns with a heading alignment of "center" are not always centering if they have columns that align to the left or right included before them. I looked at the generated HTML and it shows that align="LEFT" or align="RIGHT" is being generated in the source even when the column heading is set to center in the designer. It appears that if a field higher on the list says to align the column heading left or right, then that is what the following columns are going to do also if they are set to center. So column heading left and right works great, and center works only if all the columns are set to center.
My question: Is this a known bug? Is it something that can be scheduled for a fix at some point in the future?
Luckily the column data itself obeys the column alignment, so this is strictly a cosmetic problem with the column headings.

What theme are you using?
Try setting them with a css decalration. Instead of align="right" put this is in the heading attribute
style="text-align:right;" or style="text-align:left;"

Video Skin not working in embedded SWF

Are there issues with using a video skin on an swf that sits on a web page? Specifically, I have an swf that has a FLVPlayback component. The skin and its path are specified in the Parameters tab; autohide set to true.
When the FLV in the swf plays, the skin appears on a mouse_over, as it should be. However, if the swf has the same dimensions as the flv, and the mouse rolls away, then it appears to me that the swf never "gets the message" that the mouse is no longer over it... and therefore the skin does not hide. Is this normal?
If so, what's the work around? Designing the swf to be larger than the flv? I'd rather not, as that makes for some un-elegant (is that a word?) designing.

FW CS6 Align tool not working properly with lines of text

Much to my surprise the align tool is not aligning properly with text and I'm not sure what the issue is. My snap to grid distance is set at 1 in preferences.
Task: Left-align several vertically-stacked lines of type using the alignment tool. All lines have text-align: left.
Result: Some of lines of type display 1px off from each other. Using the right-align tool yields the same issue.
Oddly enough shapes align pixel-perfect.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not certain of this, but I believe the Align panel aligns the text runs as opposed to the text boxes themselves. This should be a good thing, as it's usually the text that needs to be aligned, not the invisible boxes containing the text.
Could that be what's happening?

ADF Faces Skins Not Working

I can't seem to get my ADF faces skins to register at all. I have a css file, an adf-faces-skins.xml file, and a <skin-family> element in my adf-faces-config.xml file, but to no avail.
One possible hint--I think I might not be getting access to the appropriate XML namespace in my adf-faces-skins.xml file. I can't, for example, get code insight to work there ("No insight available"). I'm using
<skins xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfview/faces/skin">
which looks like it's right out of the help. Am I missing a library of some sort?

Yes, I have, and I don't see anything I've done substantially differently from there--with the exception of adding a new version of Faces to my project. I assume I don't have to do that if I'm using 10.1.3 Production (the HowTo says it's a "more recent" version of Faces, but it was written against EA 1).

Auto Align Layers not working

Hello,
I am trying to auto align layers from a commercial job to mask different exposures and flashes in and out.
Every time I try to auto align, it doesn't work.
I make them JPGs in Lightroom and bring them over to photoshop.
I add a base layer and then upload the other exposure/light layers.
I make a group to add the exposures into but not the base layer.
Select them all.
Go to Edit - Auto Align Layers - but its always greyed out.
I am extremely frustrated. Help.

Try unlocking the base layer. Not sure if that'll effect it, but I could see it not wanting to auto-align if a layer was locked, even the base layer.
I would also try auto-aligning as soon as you import, before grouping. Shouldn't make a difference, but I do some RE/architectural work myself, and have never run into issue with my workflow (from lightroom I choose "open as layers in Photoshop", then autoalign, then group and mask and edit). Though I don't usually run auto-align. I assume you're on a tripod, did something move?

Flv with player skin not working properly

When I place a flv into a flash movie and apply a skin and
publish everything, it works fine on my local machine, but when
uploaded to a server the player skin will not show up, yet the flv
shows up and begins playing. Has anyone encountered this before? Is
there a way to embed the skin in the swf instead of having it be
external?

Submenu positioning align left not working

Hello,
Is it possible to align the submenu items left when the top level is using Uniform Spacing (tried selecting the text alignment options, nothing wants to work)? Spry Vertical Menu Bar not working in IE8

I've upgraded to 1.6.1, but it still doesn't work in IE8 unless in compatibility mode. http://jimgreenrealty.com/Test.html
Works fine in other browsers and other Spry elements appear to work normally in IE8. Can anyone help?

If you deselect compatibility mode on IE8 the menu bar disappears (on
all our computers anyway). Works fine in all other versions of IE and
all other browsers. Updated to Spry 1.6.1 and still no avail.
