Very Urgent help in Forms Personalization/Custom.pll for Dff

Hello everyone,
I want to enable the existing DFF segment i.e. Attribute12 when schedule_ship_date get changed. Means if schedule_ship_date changes then I want to store it in DFF segment.
Please can you tell me the steps how i can enable the DFF segment in Oracle forms or how i can do it mandatory if date changes. I am using 11.5.10.2 Oracle Apps version.

I suggest you to create an event Alert instead of a database trigger; this is the best practice.

How to close a custom form from CUSTOM.pll

Dear Friends,
We need your help on the following issue related to Oracle Apps Forms.
We have a requirement to show a popup message (message should remain open and user should be able to continue working in the order entry form. User use this message as a reference while entering order details) when user enters a customer name or number in the order entry form . This is similar to the Stock Availability form which gets opened automatically when control enters into Order Entry Lines form, where the stock availability form remains open while entering line details.
To fullfil the requirement, we have designed a custom form with a single text field in which the message text (some customer information) will be shown.
We are using custom.pll to call this custom form (thru FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE) when the control leaves customer number field. User could leave this custom form open and continue with entering order details. Till this point we could achieve what we want. i.e. we could show the popup message in the custom form after user enters a customer number.
The problem is, after the custom form is opened, when we enter a new order for different customer, we need to close the custom form (which is opened for the previous customer) if the customer is not qualified.
we could not achieve this. We tried using CLOSE_FORM, CLOSE_WINDOW, but did not help.
Any body have any suggestions on achieving this... Basically, we need your help to know how we can close the custom form from CUSTOM.pll.

I thing you haven't any (supported) option to close a form via custom.pll.
For a long time, we have search a solution for the same problem without any result.

You can create a trigger(when-list-changed) for each list item where you could:
1.recreate the record groups and then use POPULATE_LIST so you can hide the selected values. In forms builder online help there are some good examples about create record groups dynamically.
or
2.you can perform a validation instead of hiding the selected values. If the values is already selected the display a message 'Value already selected....'
Second option is much faster(only an 'if clause')

Very urgent help - for update field1 nowait across databaselink

Hi,
We have a form that uses select for update field1 nowait for a table that is accessed across a database link. When we try to do this the form errors out giving frm-92101 error. If I comment out the for update statement then it works fine. I know it the for update that is causing the problem but I'm not sure how to fix it. Can someone help me please. Very urgent, we are in the middle of upgrade and we found this issue while testing the forms.
Any ideas or suggestions ?
I'm using 10g App.Server and 10g database.

provide arabic support?Please go to "Regional and Language Options" from the Control Panel. In the "Standards and formats" group of the "Regional Opitons" tab, select "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)". In the "Language for non-Unicode programs" group of the "Advanced" tab, select "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)", then restart Windows. If "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)" is not listed, then please go to the "Langauges" tab and make sure the "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)" in the "Supplemental language support" group is checked.

Please note Arabic characters are represented in 2 bytes in UTF8 while they are 1 byte in AR8MSWIN1256.
2.How to install forms & Reports with arabic support?If you need Arabic translation, then please select Arabic when you're asked the language(s) to install. Otherwise, notmal Forms/Reports installation should work for you.

Very Urgent!!!Calling custom OAF vent reg page from JTT page gives error.

1. We have a need to customize Oracle Marketing Online Event registration page (Oracle standard JTT page: amsEventRegistrantsEntryMain.jsp - available via function AMS_EVENT_REG_ENTRY) .
2. We have created a new custom OAF page for the event registration and modified the function definition Web HTML property from "amsEventRegistrantsEntryMain.jsp" to "jtfcrmchrome.jsp?
page=/oracle/apps/xxamw/xxams/event/webui/XXAmsEventRegScheduleCrePG&akRegionApplicationId=540&jttoijappn=OKL" (tried also with OA.jsp call)
3. Now when we click on the Register link from the base (This Oracle standard Register link calls AMS_EVENT_REG_ENTRY and since AMS_EVENT_REG_ENTRY is modified we expect OAF page to render) page it throws "You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator." error. The function is not accessible.
4. Navigation: Oracle Marketing Super User -> Marketing Online -> Event -> Registration Stb menu -> Search for a "Event Schedule Name" -> Click Go -> Click on Register link (We expect our custom OAF page when register link is
clicked)
Please note this design was tested successfully in an instance but when we migrated this to a new instance it fails. We cannot compare two instances since the previous instance no longer exists. Seems some issue with JTT menu straucture since we are using Oracle standard JTT function. This is a very urgent issue and any quick help or pointer will be great.

Have u added your called function to the current user? That means by navigating to the responsibility you can access the same page directly, with out doing any transaction? If so then create your custom function with your required URL and attach to a menu ; then check if you are able to view that page from the menu navigation?If these thing is not working then I think you need to create a custom page that will extend the std region , that time hopefully it will work.

Help In Forms Personalization

Hi all,
I have a requirement to get the last four characters in a text field using forms personalization.
How to get it.
Note: Its a query only form.
I have tried using format mask option but it never worked.
For ex: if a value is 1111111 in need to show it has ###1111.

First of all, I assume you explored CONCEAL_DATA and discarded it because it hides all characters - not just first few.
So can't think of an easy way to do it.
The problem is that the query is brining value 123456 and to change it, you must make it **3456. As soon as you change the database field, Oracle will think you are changing the record. But since it is a query only form, you may have a problem.
Here is a possible solution
1) A lot of Oracle's seeded forms have display fields that are mirror fields. The display fields itself is not a database field. So you might be able to change it. The display fields typically have a suffix of MIR. See if you get lucky and change it without makign system.recordStatus = changed
If not , here is a different route
1) Typically Oracle's forms are based on a query from a view. Change the select clause of the view to bring **3456 instead of 123456. Make sure that the view is not used anywhere but in this form. Otherwise there will be trouble. Use this as your last option.
Another way would be to customize the form and modify the select clause or use a custom view.

The email address will be stored in the field VALUE1 and posting date in VALUE2. Once mail is sent, VALUE2 is updated with latest posting date (BKPF-BUDAT).
iii. Increment the running serial number and update ZFICO with new serial number.
a. GV_ SERIALNO = WA_ZFIBUE-SERIALNO + 1
b. Update ZFICO Set value1 = GV_SERIALNO
Where PARAMTYPE = "BPM030307" AND
SUBTYPE = "ZFIBUE" AND
KEY1 = "SERIALNO".
iv Move VDFT to BSEG-GSBER.
v. Exit routine.
4.6 Fetch MTART into GV_MTART from MARA where MATNR = BSEG-MATNR.
4.7 If SY-BATCH = INITIAL AND GV_MTART <> ROH, issue the error message - Maintain the mapping of product hierarchy <PRDHA> from article <MATNR> for <BUKRS>. Else, go to step 3.8.
4.8 If SY-BATCH <> INITIAL AND GV_MTART <> ROH, issue the error message - Maintain product hierarchy on article master. Go to step 3.10.
4.9 Move GV_GSBER TO BSEG-GSBER.
4.10 Exit Routine

I had a standard report and i copied into an z report. i need to change some field output , and that field is there in a standard function module.so i copied that fun module into z fun module and stored in a new fun group. Now it is showing the error in the z fun module. include in the fun module is giving the error stating that it is not existing. please help me in coping the standard fun module correctly . please its very urgent.

You should not copy a Function module alone, as it will have some dependant INLCUDES and global data in TOP include of the function group.
SO if you want the function module copy the entire Function Group into Z function group.

Need very urgent help

Hi every1,
i am in a very bad situation as i am very new to AS3, so i
need some help from any one who can help me out of this.
I have created a FLV Player using FLVPlayback Component
everything is working fine but the only problem is the rewind and
forward button behaves very strange when i test it on web page
residing in a webserver.
In brief i want to say that the rewind and forward control in
the application works alright when i play it in my local machine
but when i take the file to a web sever and play it the controls
behave very strange (when i click on the forward and rewind button
it just takes me to the end of the movie and to the start of the
movie at one shot which should not be the purpose of the rewind and
forward button).

Please suggest.I have a table(custom_table1) with a field say A which is of date type = c and length = 9. And i want to query this table.Following is the query.

and substr(A,0,5) = Input_A.
That is i want to equate an Input_A (which is of 5 character length) with field A (only first 5 character of the 9 length). But it seems the query is wrong. Kindly help ,very urgent

How to convert PO sapscript layout to pdf - need VERY URGENT Help

Dear All,
Requirement: PO sapscript layout after some modifications (say, ZMEDRUCK) has to be converted to pdf. Through me9f user will be able to give ranges of PO numbers and can view the print preview for the po. After that on clicking the print button we get the printout of the pos one after another based on the user input of PO numbers.
Our requirement is that when the user will click on the "Print Preview" of po (rather than pressing the print button) it i.e. PO sapscript layout has to get converted to pdf.
If you have already encountered this scenario, could you please send me the source code regarding this at the earliest. If you want to email it to my personal id, please let me know so that I can give it to you. Thank you.
It will be very beneficial for mine if you can send me some source code in this regard. (FYI. We want only Print output of PO sapscript. So, Print Program /SMB40/FM06P [after copying it to our ZSMB40/FM06P program] need to be modified for downloading the PO into PDF where there is no FMs like OPEN_FORM, WRITE_FORM, CLOSE_FORM. So already available source code in SAP forums can not help me.)). Kindly help me at the earliest. Its VERY URGENT

Urgent help needed in creating customer ship_to and bill_to site id

Hi,
I am using an api to create customer ship_to and bill_to address, in Oracle OM R12 but the api does not return values. I am including the code so any suggestion will be helpful.

It might be a crossdomain.xml problem.
Please make sure that the server hosting the xml allows the domain where the swf is hosted.
You can start with:
