Video appears smaller on Canvas - why???

I imported several DVDs from a client using DVDxDV Pro at the Final Cut Pro/iMove 6 setting. The videos look fine in iMovie but for some reason they appear small in FCP. Why is this?

Can anyone solve this problem for me? Is there a setting in FCP that I haven't adressed? These videos can be played in Quicktime Pro at full screen without a problem and in iMovie. There's no reason why they should look small in FCP.

you have your canvas set at something like 28%, of course it looks small.
activate the canvas, shift-z will fit the video to fill the canvas window.
it's all in the manual as well as other cool info.

Captured NTSC video looks small in Canvas window

Often, when we capture video into FCP (version 4.5), the clip comes in at 50% of it's original size (that's how it looks in the canvas window and on the NTSC monitor). We have looked at a number of sequence settings and have not been able to rectify the problem.
We are capable of scaling each or the clips up to 160% of the original size and the clips will then fill the frame as expected. There does not seem to be any degradation in the video when doing this, but obviously we are doing something wrong and our solution is a long way from elegant.
In certain projects or sequences the video will be captured into FCP and be the normal size, but we have not been able to figure out what is the difference between these projects and sequences.

Use the DV/NTSC easy preset to capture your DV material. If the material is recorded as anamorphic, use that preset.
Capture the video using the same DV/NTSC easy preset that you used to create the project.
Drop the clip into a sequence created using the same DV/NTSC easy preset..
The clip will fill the NTSC external monitor screen.
Set your Canvas and Viewer windows to Fill to fit.

How do I make a video clip appear smaller in Adobe Premiere 6.5?

I am attempting to make a video clip appear smaller with a black background, the way movies often do when they show out takes at the end during the credits. I'm sure this is something pretty simple, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Cannot recall the full line-up of Effects in Pr 6.5, but you should have the fixed Effect>Motion>Scale, which will allow you to resize the Clip. You might need to use Motion>Position in addition. Basically, you will doing a PiP (Picture in Picture), with no Clip below, just the black showing.

I have first generation iPad. Why do some videos appear distorted or grainy? Is there a fix for this? I am using only WiFi portion of product.

What videos? You may be viewing some very low-resolution videos.

Go to the Map, Background & Animatic Browser (last button in the centre tool bar alongside the Transition button). Drag the Black background (or any background) to your project. From an Event, drag the video selection directly onto the Black clip in the project. As you drop the video clip, a pop-up menu will appear. Select Picture in Picture.
Your video will appear as a small picture within the black clip. Click on it and reposition it to the centre of the viewer, using the yellow guide lines to get the exact centre position. Resize the Picture in Picture if desired by dragging the corner handles.
NOTE: You may need to extend the duration of the Black clip to match the duration of the video clip. Double-click on the Black clip to open the Inspector, then adjust the duration there.

Safari HTML5 video appears dark

The video plays just fine in every browser, and I use the standard 3-codec approach. On every other browser, the video "melts" into the white background intentionally, but in Safari, the video appears gray and ruins the effect - any ideas why?

There is a known issue where video in regards to HTML5 appears dark, which was supposed to be fixed in Safari 5.1.4

Recordings Appearing Small in Center of Stage

Hello All,
I am trying to recording using Adobe Captivate 4. Each time I record a new video, it appears small and centered within the slide which makes it difficult to edit. This is a recent issue. The image below shows an example of a recording and how it is displaying.
I am using Windows XP, Captivate 4 and recording a Software Simulation, Application Region. Any recommendations?

Printing appears small

Does anyone have any idea why my printouts are appearing small? Whenever I select the print option the printout prints to the top left 25% of the page only and not the full page. This happens even though the print preview shows that it is going to print the full page. It is printing everything but just sqeezing it down to about 25% the original size. I always put settings to: Print full page, or Scale to 100% or Scale to Fit, etc
I am using Mac OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook (Older black type) using the applications Mail, Preview and Safari. MS Word prints ok which is leading me to think that perhaps this issue is tied to the Mac OS. The printer is a Canon MX350 but my feeling is that this is not a printer issue as the problem is not consistent, it seems to varry across applications.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Using Safari as the program from which to print -
Check in the Print window (the window that appears when you select Print from the File menu, or press Command-P). There's a pulldownmenu underneath the Orientation section; it should show Safari -
Click that menu and select Layout from it. The window will change to show some new items -
In particular, look at the item Pages per Sheet. If that is set to 4, then the page will be reduced and printed on just one-quarter of the paper. Resetting that to 1 should return the print to full-size.

Imported SWF appears smaller on Captivate screen?

Has anyone has this happen? When I create something in Flash 5.5 and then import it into Captivate 5.5, it looks like it shrinks some.
Is this just me or is this a known issue?

Video appearing in a different location

Hello everyone,
I'm somewhat new to Dreamweaver and just completed a website with embedded QuickTime videos. All the pages look identical except for one in which the video appears in a different location on the web, than it does in Dreamweaver and the browser preview. The code for each page layout is identical. Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

How can I permanently increase the size of websites?They appear small on my 1080p laptop display and I dont want to press ctrl + on every website.

I bought a new laptop with a resolution of 1920x1080. Whenever I open sites with firefox, they appear small. I have to press ctrl++ to zoom in for every page I visit. This is getting annoying. Is there any way to permanently zoom a page so I don't have to do it for every website?
P.S. I know that I can increase the font size permanently that that doesn't help with the images and the page doesn't render correctly.

You can also increase the String pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 2.0 in 0.1 steps to see what works best. 
In Firefox 3.6 and later this pref is a String value parsed to a float and allows to fine tune the dimensions of all elements more precisely.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

In smartform folder's size appears smaller than main window

I used folder and table in main window. table takes the width of main window but folder does not takes. in print preview folder's size appears small then table. please suggest how to increase the size of folder.

Try this way , First create a window inside the main window then create your folder node. Generally if you are creating a node inside the node it takes the default of main window.
