Video as background

Question

hi,
i am trying to put a videofeed as a background in a jframe
does anybody has any ideas ?
even with a layered pane i do not seem to succeed, the video always comes out on top...
i use the Player.getVisualComponent() to get the Component on the layeredpane

this does not work :
JFrame frame=new JFrame();
Component visualComp = player.getVisualComponent();
JLayeredPane layers = new JLayeredPane() {
        public Dimension getPreferredSize() {
            return new Dimension (300,300);
        public Dimension getMinimumSize() {
            return new Dimension (300,300);
visualComp.setBounds (0, 0,
                      visualComp.getPreferredSize().width,
                      visualComp.getPreferredSize().height);
layers.add (visualComp, new Integer(1));
JLabel overlay = new JLabel("TEST");
overlay.setBounds(150,150,30,30);
layers.add (overlay, new Integer(2));
frame.getContentPane().add (layers, BorderLayout.CENTER);
frame.pack();
frame.setVisible(true);it should put the testlabel above the video but it doesn't :'(
