Video podcasts compatible with iPhone

Hello,
I've downloaded a few free video podcasts from the iTunes Store.
When I try to upload them to my iPhone, I occasionally get an error message saying that they are not compatible, so I convert them.
However, I'm wondering what, specifically, I need to look for when I download a video podcast that identifies it as being compatible or non-compatible for the iPhone. Is there anything specific that I can look at about the video podcast that will give me this information in iTunes?

If the video file plays in iTunes, select the video and at the menu bar go to Advanced and select Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone. This will duplicate the selection. Try selecting the converted file to be transferred to your iPhone via your iPhone sync preferences.

I cannot find or view video podcasts on my iPhone 4 after dragging them to iPhone in iTunes

From iTunes ona PC, I drug two video podcasts to my iPhone in the sidebar. They show up inder Podcasts. Going to my iPhone, I do not see them anywhere. On my iPad, I believe they would be viewed under Movies. But I don't see the Movies app on my iPhone. They did not appear in any app that I have on my iPhone.
Do I have to add an app that did not come with the iPhone? Which one would be the best?

I did not think of trying the iPod App. I do not have an iPod. But sure enough, once I sync'd to my PC, there were the video podcasts under iPod.

Because of previous iPhone devices that I've had, I'm always reluctant to upgrade to the latest iOS versions. My devices always never work as originally purchased and I see thousands of requests on how to revert back to previous versions. Is iOS 6.1.3 compatible with iphone 4 and what problems will I encounter? Since this OS is developed for a completely different device, then I'm sure there's bound to be some problems.

Well, millions of users have updated with zero issues. Don't go by what you read here, this place is like a hospital emergency room, only users with issues come here.

I want purchase a retractable cable on eBay but not sure if it's compatible with iPhone 3G since there is one particular auction says the USB cable is not compatible with iPhone 3G. How come? I thought all cables are universal. Thanks

I routinely use my iPhone 2G, iPod, and iPhone 3G cables with each other and have no problems...however, I aquired a 3rd party cable (for it's extended length), and it prevented my from syncing my 2G iPhone. It charges both iPhones (when connected to a wall charger). I have not tried it with my 3G phone to sync.
The short answer is, Apple cables seem to work interchangeably and no problems.

The only place to get an OtterBox for the iPhone 4 right now is from the OtterBox web site. The only model currently available for order is the Defender and the only color available is black. I have one and really like it.

No, the sim card is not compatible, as they are two different sizes (iPhone 4 uses a micro sim card).
