"View interrupted downloads?" Message in Nokia N95

Dear all,
Every time I finish browsing using web application on Nokia N95 and exit the web I receive the message "view interrupted downloads?" with options yes or no. When I press yes it opens web application again & when I press no nothing happened. I can't get rid of it. I try clearing cache but nothing happened.
Can anybody tell me what I should do to get rid of this message?

I've encountered this before and I from what I remember if you click on Options you should see a menu option which allows you to view the downloads which have been interrupted.
From there you should be able to either cancel them or continue the download.Message Edited by edwardquan on 18-Jun-200709:57 PM

    Hi guys!
    Unfortunatly neither works! lol
The download option isn't available - and if I download something else to try and fox it - that doesn't enable me to delete my first download.
Settings reset has no effect either!
hey ho.. any other suggestions welcome. And thank for the suggestions so far )
Try downloading the original file again - I experienced kind of this problem when downloading the PDF version of the tube map for London - and then delete it.
If that doesn't work, then when your phone says "View interrupted Downloads" what buttons can you press and what options does it present you with and what happens when you press the button ?

  • E71 - view interrupted downloads

At the end of a browsing session I keep getting a window saying view interrupted downloads. The options are obviously yes or no. No does nothing, yes takes me to my bookmakrs menu. This is what I've tried so far...
    1: clearing the cache
2: downloaded the file again (it was the chris moyles podcast from the BBC)
3: downloaded a file manager and attempted to locate the download manager folder in the system folder but it does not exist
    4: restored settings *#3830#
If anybody has any further ideas I would be grateful

I guess the other option for the future would be to use something like UCBrowser for the downloads (it has the only decent integrated download manager I've seen on Symbian).
So even if you shut the browser down, it will remember your spot next time you open it up. Currently Opera Mobile does not do this if you shut down the browser and want to restart a download that got disconnected...though it will resume from nearly all servers if the browser is left open and you resume the download in the Downloads window.
The UCBrowser interface can be a bit obnoxious (Facebook and other useless links take prominence in the interface) and it's a 'cloud' browser meaning their server does some processing on web pages to reduce the bandwidth (like Opera Mini) so it's not for everyone necessarily, but downloads go through untouched...and best of all, they will resume where you left off in your last session without nags and with a decent-looking Downloads interface (Menu > File > Downloads) without the super-small fonts Opera is fond of. As you browse the web while downloading, the top-right of the window will show your download status too. Some pretty good ideas in the UCBrowser interface, despite obnoxious and apparently uneditable Facebook links and others.
More sanely, downloads are saved on your memory card in the UCDownloaded folder by default. Opera Mobile, for instance, will ask you every time you want to save a file, where you want to save it...which can get annoying fast. Anyway, what this means is you will not need a special file manager to see the file, even if it's not totally downloaded.
All-in-all, it's quite a powerful and useful piece of (free) software, minus the 'busy' interface, which took me 2 or 3 days to get used to, and I use it for larger downloads by default (though Symbian is limited to 2GB-sized files, as you find out if you are after the latest Nokia Europe map, for example).

  • E72 View interrupted downloads Yes or No

    Hi
My E72 has suddenly started asking: View interrupted downloads Yes /  No. I foolowed one or two of the tips suggested for E71 users who had this happen, like Clear privacy data > All.
It had no effect and gave me no more free memory (30 out of 196.6).
Any ideas why this happens, anybody?
It seemed to coincide with Ovi Mail losing its push ....

    Hi
Well, that's the really funny thing. I see nothing that is remotely related to downloads. I jut´st get taken back into the browser at my default page. Most of my browsing in the Nokia browser is purely and simply viewing bbc.co.uk/news/mobile, a weather site or YourMuze.fm. I'm not surfing, podcasting or anything else.
This problem turned up a day or so after my E72 stopped receiving push mail from Ovi Mail, which it has otherwise always done. Now I never get pushed mail and miss vital mails all the time.
I've neither installed anything new or taken anything off the phone, which in all other respects functions as well as can be expected.

  • Free country maps download error in Nokia n95 afte...

I have downloaded maps application from Nokia maps support site (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom) and installed in my nokia n95. I had the previous version in my device was 2.xx (sorry i forgot the correct version). I had India map in my device with the old version. After installing i run the application in and it deleted the old maps data in the device as they are not compatible with this version.
Then i opened ovi suite and selected maps. There listed "Maps have been updated-Download updated maps". I selected "download updated maps". Then a new window came and listed "Install device application" next. I selected next. Then it listed "Checking old maps and voice guidance files.. this may take several minutes.". I waited for it to get complete. After waiting about  minutes it showed the error that "Internet connection lost - updating could not be completed because the internet connection was lost.... and so on" Try again. I hit Try again. Then it said "Maps have been updated" Finish. I selected finish. Then it returned to maps in ovi suite. There it listed the same message "Maps has been updated ..Download updated maps" which was shown early. No maps data for any countries are listed.
But there were no problem with my internet connection. I did these processes for three times. All times i got the same error. But there were no problem with my internet connection. I have done these with windows xp service pack 3, and also with windows7 ultimate and the ovi suite  2.2.0.245. My device OS version is V 31.0.017, 16-12-08, RM-159, Nokia N95(01.01).
I hope someone will provide a solution for this problem.
    Thank you.

or you could try the Nokia Maps Updater which can also add and update maps to your phone , and can be downloaded from the Nokia website !

  • Messaging Problem Nokia N95 - Memory Full, close a...

    Hi,
I'm having problems with messaging. When attempting to send the message "Memory full. Close applications and try again" appears - although there is no issue with the phone or card memory and are pretty empty. The message sits in the outbox and no matter how many times you try to send, will not allow.
At first I removed the SIM card, clean and replaced and this did work the first time. It no longer works at all now. Does anyone have any suggestions or experienced this before?
    Thanks, Phil

So have you checked that your memory is not FULL?
Go to the File Manager and then select Options Memory details (for the Phone Memory) do you have free memory?
Have you installed something that may be running in the background (like a theme or something else) try to use one of the default themes.
Have you cleaned (deleted) the internet cache for the browser?
If all fails you may need to do a hard reset and clean your phone completely of all installed things and downloaded content. Then try it (before you start loading your stuff).
Phones have a limited amount of resources and can get full very easily without you knowing. Programs use the Phone memory to store temporary files that never get deleted. DRM songs also consume memory even after you deleted the songs, etc.

  • C7 Interrupted download

When opening/closing web browser I'm asked to see "interrupted downloads".
This must be a corrupted file as you can't delete or resume it. Pressing for a couple seconds on it an arrow starts spining but no action is expected, it remains. I have used this feature and know how to delete or resume a downloading that has been interrupted for some reason. Tried to download same file to see if resumes but always takes another name (adding (1) or (2). It's really a pain. I've been searching in file browser for any temp file, but no luck. Deleting privacy data on web options doesnt work for this file. Any help please.

I experience exactly the same issue, despite being on my second handset now (this being primarily because the web browser keeps hanging with a blank white screen, often followed by the 'view interrupted download' pop up).
Any help/advice would be gratefully received.
    Many thanks.

  • Nokia N95 Cannot send messages

Hi I hope this is the right place to post this!
I can't seem to be able to send messages on my Nokia N95. I got it in the middle of December. Great phone and no problems whatsoever.
However the other night I was unable to send messages. They would immediately go straight to the outbox and sit there saying they would resend.
However it fixed itself randomly and began sending messages again. I did nothing. Kept the phone on changed no settings.
Today though it's gone again and this time i haven't been able to send any messages for the past 12 hours. I can make calls, receive calls and receive messages I just cannot send messages.
I've checked my message centre details. Everything is correct for my network 02.
I tried my sim card in my other phone and it sends messages fine.
You name it i've tried it...deleting message centres...adding new ones...it still just sends them straight to the outbox though!
Any ideas anyone? i've googled it and it appears quite a few other people are suffering from this.
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies

Sorry, my fault, the code is indeed *#7370#
As for the message problem, if you are getting the same issue after your restore, I would say it is probable a program or file that is causing the conflict and the only way to deal with that is by process of illimination.
Start by removing the latest program you installed and so on.
On PC Suite I can only restore the entire backup. How do I restore only parts of the backup? I really only need to keep my contacts. Everything else like the maps I can download again if need be.

  • E6 "View interupted downloads?" message

    Greetings,
Does anyone have a solution to the following issue with Nokia E6.
After closing we browser I get the message "View interupted downloads? yes/no". If pressed yes, phone opens browser and get nest message "Select to instal or open: content.bin, 0 kb" with button Hide. If pressed Hide browser opens on Ovi page, then if you try to close it you get again the same "View interupted downloads?" message.
    Thanks,
    Jonas

Just like I thought that I had already regged on the forum, entered a user name and made some posts - but it's asking me to do it again today - is how the E6 gets stuck on that dialog and repeats it over and over again..
So many small *problems* with the phone, interface and software (which keep stacking up, since the first day that I got it, just recently - as a present from my uncle); && apparently the forum software too, if I'm not mistaking, I don't really care about the phone and Nokia at this point at all (which is out of character for me).
Aaanyway (lol ), the download thingy; When the screen pops-up, hold the item(s) down on the touchscreen and there will be an option to delete it. Solved. =)
    P.S.
There's no way to disable smilies on the forum, so they won't break the line-spacing (by being too big)?.. Ah, well.
Edit: Looks like it's my first post, from what it's showing.. Must've used a different email, the other day, or something. ;-$
