View Items in OBPM 10GR3

Does anybody know how to bring the last initiated process instance to be seen first in the worklist views in OBPM 10GR3?
By default, the last initiated worklist item is posted at the end and one has to scroll down all the way to the last initiated item.
How can we bring that to the front?

Enter in the Workspace Administrator, go to the presentations option, take the presentation associated to your inbox, typically default_instances take the column "received" and put to sort by this column choosing descending.

My JSP in OBPM 10GR3 is getting timed out quickly. How can I increase the timeout of my JSP?
Because it shows on the UI workspace that "The task cannot be resumed".

There is probably one more reason why this may be happening. Again, I don't have a running 10g instance to verify this, but may be you can. Once a user clicks on the work item (or left menu in the case of a Global Create) in the inbox, and the dialog opens up, if you do a browser refresh, the popup will close, but probably , behind the scene, the screen-flow is not closed. Now , if you click on your global create again, you may get a Task cannot be resumed.
Not sure, but try this, and the only way around may be to tell users not to refresh the screen when the popup is up, if they do and get a 'Task cannot be resumed' , they will have to log out and log back in.

Error while deploying a project to the OBPM 10GR3 Server

Hi all,
I am trying to deploy my current project to the OBPM 10GR3 server and it gives me the following exception. I am not sure what is this exception.
The project compiles well in Studio 10GR3.
Cannot publish the project.
'close' is not a function. Caused by: 'close' is not a function.
Does anybody know what is the exception?

I was using Fuego.Sql.DynamicSQL.close(Iterator)
For a an executeUpdate query which returns an int.
But I used it in a method and did not use that method inside my process or screenflow.
But it did not give me any error/exception while compiling it in Studio.
It gave me an exception while publishing in Enterprise.
This is strange.
It should have given me an error/exception while compiling itself rather than while publishing in Enterprise.

List view item display time is taking too much

I am working in a sharepoint2013 project. In our project , list view item display time is taking too much in IE8 sp2013 64 bit environment. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

Hi Nabhendu,
We had something similar with our SP2013 and IE8 32-bit. It seems that IE8 was in Compatible mode which make it IE7, which is unsupported by SP2013 due to HTML5.
Issue : List view especially datasheet view which has been moved from ActiveX to HTML5 had very slow response on SP2013 and IE8 32-bit.
Resolution : Try Chrome and see if its CSS/Masterpage or SP2013 issues performance issue.
We deployed masterpage and css which was used in our SP2007 site with minor changes, but later we figured out that we need to make major changes in order to work with IE8 and SP2013.
Try Indexing Columns.
check how many look up columns are used.

ECT List View Web Part displaying incorrect data when View Item

I have a External Content Type which pulls data from a stored procedure. The stored procedure has 1 parameter - the users logon id. The data retrieved is a list of meetings with start date time, end date time, location, subject, etc. From this ECT there
is an External List which displays all data correctly.
There is 2 pages within the site and its subsites that have list view web parts which display a subset of the info from the external list. When the user clicks a specific meeting to display the complete info on the meeting, the wrong information is displayed,
it always displays the info for the 1st meeting in the list. So, I displayed the BDC Identity field on the list and this field is identical for all the rows since the key for the ECT is the username and hence not unique.
I've spent all day trying to finding a way to resolve this and have come up empty. I've tried to find a way to make the BDC Identity field to be unique, using Business Data View web part, Data View web part, and nothing.
The user needs to be able to click the My Meetings url header on the above pages to see a full list of their meetings so I need the external list. Any ideas how to make the BDC Identity field unique or how to get the View Item on the List View web part to
work correctly?

I resolved the non unique BDC Identity problem by simply adding the row # to the Username in the stored procedure so the BDC Identity fields on the list records are now unique (although they're really long ie. __bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056003300,
__bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056004300 etc). Not sure how it generates the BDC Identity?
I still see the same behaviour when you select a meeting to display the details. It always displays the 1st record in the list.
I added code to the DispForm to display the ID when the page loads and the BDC Identity from the record and verfied that they do match.
I can add another parameter to the stored procedure and just return the row # in that field. What do you mean by make the identifire as Identity in operations?

Create a tab view item in obj-c for use in applescript studio

I'm making an application with applescript studio. I want to be able to add tab view items to a tab view at the press of a button. The problem I have is applescript studio doesn't allow me to create a new tab view item. So I'm thinking I can create the tab view item using objective-c, pass that to my applescript, then add it to my tab view.
In applescript I plan to use the following call methods to first create the tab view item object, and then add it to my tab view. The objective-c code which is called from the first line in the applescript code is below that. When I run my code I'm getting an error saying newTVI is not defined... so maybe you can see my error! Be kind to me because I'm new to objective-c and I'm sure that's where my problem lies. Anyway, I'd appreciate any help.

Strange problem with Outlets and Collection View Items

This is a strange issue. I am using XCode 3.2.2 and I am building a Collection View. To do this I have a non-document based application that uses Core Data.
*Collection View Item Class*
I created a new class that inherits NSCollectionViewItem and built it to have an outlet to the Label.
*Collection View Item NIB*
I created a Empty NIB for my Collection View Item. To the NIB I added a Custom View object and set the Class Identity to NSBox. I then added a Label to the new NSBox. I changed the File Owner to the new class and connected the "view" outlet to the new NSBox and the Label to the label outlet.
*Main Menu NIB*
I added a new NSCollectionViewItem object to the Main Menu NIB and set the Class Identity to the new class mentioned above. I then set the NIB Name to the name of the NIB mentioned above. In the window I added a NSCollectionView then set its Item Prototype to the new NSCollectionViewItem object I just configured. This is the typical way to set up a collection view with its item in a different NIB.
*Back to the problem*
Everything seem to work well except that in the setRepresentativeObject in the Collection View Item class when it attempts to set the Label to a value. Nothing happens. When I check closely I find that the Label is coming back nil. It is properly linked. I deleted everything and rebuilt the collection view item and relinked everything without success.
*How I made it work but not happy with it*
I have finally made this work by simply putting the line "[self view];" just before I attempt to run "[label setStringValue:name];". If I remark out the "[self view];" the label returns nil. I have a note near the line to make it easier to spot. It seems that I should not need to access the superclass's "view" accessor just to access one of view's subviews. Is this a bug or have I written this wrong?

I think you must be correct. I just ran into the problem again in yet another NIB. It was in the setRepresentedObject method. I simply put in the same line "\[self view\]" just before I needed to set the value of the view component and it worked again. If it is the same in other components I guess I just need to pay attention to it. Thanks for the information.

Additional field in view "item overview" VA01

I want to add an additional field to the view "item overview" (SAPMV45A Screen 4900).
It's the field vbap-knuma_ag and it's actual not included in tab control of Screen 4900.
How can I do that ?
Is that a modification ?

Full Control User Cannot View Items in a List

Hi All,
User wants to view items on 2 lists (List A/List B)
I went ahead and inherited permissions the lists from the top level site.
Lists A and B say Manage Exceptions because all the items in the list are unique items.
After all permissions were inherited I gave both user "full control". I hopped on to their account, and navigated the site and found out that when I click View All Site Content, I see both lists and the item count next to each list (indicating
that there are items in List A/List B. When I click either list however, there are no items being displayed.
Seems to me it has a lot to do with the unique items. How do I make all the unique items inherit parent permissions. When I try to do it, it makes me edit each item one-by-one.

Please firstly verify that the problematic user account has no sufficient permission on unique items. You could check item permission via Item’s “Share With” > Advanced > Check Permission:

Sharepoint autoselection of list view items

A SharePoint web part page has a set of three list views that depend on each other. For example, Order > Order Details > Products. For filtering, there are Connections defined to Send Row Data from Order to Order Details and from Order Details to Products.
When the user clicks Order, I would like all of the filtered Order Details list view items to be automatically selected so that all of the Products are immediately visible. Is that possible?

This is a new behavior introduced in Lion. You can disable it completely via System Preferences, General: uncheck the "Restore windows..." box toward the bottom.
You can disable this behavior on a case by case basis by either closing all windows before quitting, or holding the option key while quitting, or holding the shift key while launching from dock.

How to store/view items in a server folder

I have been searching for a way to store/view items in a folder on my sharepoint server. Basically at work we have sharepoint setup and one of the pages shows documents that reside in a folder on the sharepoint server. If I add a file to that
folder and refresh the web page it will show up in sharepoint. That is what I am trying to accomplish in my personal sharepoint installation. I have a folder...(let's call it C:\Media) which contains some small home videos. I simply want
to point sharepoint to that folder and display it's contents for use. As it stands now it appears the files are stored in a database because I am unable to track them down. I have searched for a solution online to no avail and obviously it is possible
because it is functions perfectly on my company's sharepoint.

SharePoint stores all files in the Content Database, or Remote Blob Storage (but RBS is less common). You must use SharePoint APIs in order to access files in the Content Database or RBS (accessing them directly places your database in an unsupported state).
What your company may be doing is using a Content Viewer Web Part to display the location of a file share within a SharePoint page. This isn't a very flexible solution, so there are 3rd parties that have filled this space, proxy'ing requests between SharePoint
and a back end file share, e.g. http://www.avepoint.com/sharepoint-connector-docave/.
