View list of tables created by user

How can I see a list of tables that I, as a user, have created in Oracle9i (assuming that I am just a user and not an administrator)?
Thanks,
Pattie

'select table_name from user_tables' will give you list of all the tables you own.
'select object_name,object_type from user_objects' will show you all objects (tables, indexes, views, synonyms, procedures, triggers etc) that you own.

  • Dreamweaver CS5, MySQL, PHP: Why are views listed under tables in the connection

Using Dreamweaver C5 against a remote server with MySQL and PHP, I notifce the views I defined in the database, are list under tables in the connection window, not under views. Probably doesn't really matter, but I was wondering if there is a way to influence this - keeping views listed separately from tables.

    Hi
This has to do with the way MySQL stores the views in the database, (a similar problem occurs with procedures) in that they are stored as part of the entire database.
View on there own are not natively supported in dreamweaver.

  • Cannot view list of tables in Connections Panel

    Problem:
When I click on the plus near the Tables item in the list under one particular connection in the Connections Panel I see no table list, is empty.
    Informations:
    1. For other connections in the Panel I can see the list of tables under the Tables item.
    2. On another PC with the same identical version of SQL Developer and using the same DB User for the connection (the connection parameters are identical) I can see the list of tables under the Tables item.
    3. There is no Filter on the Tables item.
    4. On the PC with the problem there is installed the Oracle Client 10g, on the other there is installed the Oracle Client 9, but both PC have installed and configured in the same way the Oracle Instant Client 10.2.
    5. Both PC use the same TNSNAMES.ORA.
    Thank you

    Problem solved.
Sorry it was a stupid thing I think, even if I don't know what.
I simply delete the connection and recreate (with same parameters) and now I see the list of tables under the Tables item.

  • Static list from table depending on user type

All i have a table where i define users and their roles, and i want to setup a static list that would display something like the following, but i want to filter depending on the users role
so if the user is lets say part of dev then i want them to see
    So my table contains
    pending,completed,work, accepeted, approved
    pending,completed,work
And if they are part of business then to see
    accepeted, approved, pending.
And in my select list i am doing the following select * from mytable.

    Hi Ben,
to my knowledge it's not possible to change or restrict a static list on the fly.
Why don't you create a table for your static values? Than you are able to restrict the select list. And you even get a useful description when you use your table somewhere else and want to know in which status it is.

  • Error creating view with tables of other user

I am creating of view containing two tables of another user. I
    am a dba-user.
    The statement looks like this:
    CREATE VIEW TEST
    (SELECT ...
    FROM DWH.TABLE_A A, DWH.TABLE_B B
    WHERE A.ID = B.ID)
I get an error-message (ORA-00942: Table or view not found).
When I create the view as user DWH, everything went OK. I don't
think it has something to do with privileges since I am the dba-
    user.
How can I create a view using other users tables?

    Hi
To create view on table of another user you need to have select
privilege grant directly to you - not to role granted to you. In
your case you can select tables because you have granted dba
role and it has select any table prvivilege, but you havent
directly granted this rights without role.

  • Getting list of tables the user has access to across different schemas.

    Hi,
I have to get the list of tables that an User has access to. I tried the below code. It takes a very long time. Is there any way in which I can specify the user name and get all the tables that he has access to? I know that we can use dbMetadata.getTables api. But this returns the list of tables under the said schema. But I want the list of tables that the user has access including tables in other schema.
In the below code, I am trying to get the tables for which USER_MICHAEL has access to.
    DatabaseMetaData dbMetadata = connection.getMetaData(); String userName = null; dbrs = dbMetadata.getTables(null,userName , "%", new String[] { "TABLE" }); dbrs=dbMetadata.getTablePrivileges("",userName,"%"); while (dbrs.next()) { String tableName = dbrs.getString("TABLE_NAME"); String schema = dbrs.getString("TABLE_SCHEM"); String privilege = dbrs.getString("PRIVILEGE"); String grantee = dbrs.getString("GRANTEE"); if(grantee!=null && grantee.equals("USER_MICHAEL")){       System.out.println("Schema---"+schema+" Table---"+tableName+"  Privilege----"+privilege+"  grantee---- "+grantee); } }

    That would be database dependent.
Some engines have some system tables that together may be used to extract such information, others may not make it available at all outside closed APIs.

  • Query to get objects list for which the current user has 'SELECT' privilege

    Hi,
I want to get tables and views list for which the current user has 'SELECT' privilege excluding sytem tables and views. The privilege information for the current user is scattered in more than one system views. I have following system views
USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD - Object grants for which the current user is the grantee
ROLE_TAB_PRIVS - describes table privileges granted to roles. Information is provided only about roles to which the user has access.
If the object privilege is granted explicitly like "GRANT ALL ON TABLE_NAME TO "USERNAME" then this privilege entry goes to USER_TAB_PRIVIS_RECD
If the object privilege is granted by ROLE. Role is created with certain object privileges. this role is assigned to user "GRANT ROLE_NAME TO "USERNAME"", then this entry goes to ROLE_TAB_PRIVS
From these findings, I have composed below query
(SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD) UNION (SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM ROLE_TAB_PRIVS WHERE PRIVILEGE = 'SELECT')
Have I got user's all prvilege details? should I look some other system views?
How to exclude system table privileges details?
(SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TAB_PRIVS_RECD) UNION (SELECT DISTINCT TABLE_NAME FROM ROLE_TAB_PRIVS WHERE PRIVILEGE = 'SELECT' AND OWNER NOT IN ('SYS','SYSTEM') Is this right?
What about Public role in Oracle? Should I consider public role here?
    Oracel Version :11g
I want make this query to work on Oracle 8i or above version
    Thanks

You will need a hierarchical query to do that.
Try this script for Listing privileges recursively for Oracle users

  • List view of PDF Table of Contents missing

In iBooks, PDF files can have two types of Table of Contents, thumbnail view and list view. My problem is some of my PDF files lack the list view of the table of contents.
I'm under the impression that the list view TOC in iBooks is created from the bookmarks that exist in the PDF file before importing into iBooks. I've been successful in adding new subheadings in the TOC by modifying the bookmarks in the PDF file before installing to iBooks, so I'll be surprised if that's not the case.
I have two files that have bookmarks in the original PDF file, but when I import into iBooks, there is no option for a list view of the TOC, only the thumbnail view. Can anyone offer any help as to why a PDF file with bookmarks won't show a list view TOC when imported into iBooks?
While we're at it, when you tap on the TOC button in a PDF file in iBooks, it always takes me to the thumbnails view. I would prefer it default to the list view. Is there any way to do that?
    Thanks.

There may be more user-friendly ways of doing this, but here's one way:
Open Terminal (in the Utilities folder).
Use "cd" to change directory to the folder you want to print
    eg cd /Users/myuser/Documents
Use "ls" to list the contents to a file
    ls -al > filelist.txt
You can then open the filelist.txt file from Finder in TextEdit and print it.

  • If a User has select only on a table, it isn't listed in TABLES

I have a group of Users I want to be able to access a view of the table (select only).
I created a role and table/select privs. for those users. In SQL Developer they
do not see a list under TABLES for those tables they have SELECT Access to.
They can, however, enter a query (if they know the name) and select from the table,
but they have to know the table name and they are not listed.
Is there an Oracle priv. a user must have to have to view the TABLES (although they
    only have select)?

Yes, I would think so. But for all the tables listed, when you click on the DATA tab you do not see any data. The only way to view is to go the SQL Worksheet and query *
    from the table.
The user has SELECT on the tables.

  • Create UDF for table not in the List of tables

    Hi all,
I know that my question maybe easy or been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer.
To create a UDF in SAP B1 version 9.0 you should go Tools -> Customization Tools -> User-Defined Fields - Management...
which is ok and working perfect. but my question is:
If I want to create UDF for a table not in the list of tables there what should I do? I need to create 2 UDFs for table OMRC [Manufacturers], and can't find it in master data tables.
    anyone had this issue before?
EDIT  : Is it good to add the field by using sql server? I know it's possible, but will it be visible in SAP
    thank you

    Hi Samira,
There is noit a simple link for this, I advise you to study the documentation for TB1300 SBO Development Certification.
Ypu should also have knowledge of .net, and C# or VB, because you have to make a small program/addon to add the fields

  • Limited-access user permission lockdown mode and allowing anon users to view list items

I'm working on setting up a public-facing SharePoint website that will need to support anonymous user access. I'm using the Enterprise Publishing Portal site collection template, so the Limited-access user permission lockdown mode feature is turned on.
Everything is working great, except allowing users to view a list item. One of the key features I was hoping to leverage was the ability to display custom lists on a web page using a List View web part. Then they could click on an item and see the DispForm.aspx
so the item's content was accessible, including any file attachments.
A real-world example is adding an RSS viewer web part to the home page and allowing anon users to click on one of the events to see the details of it. Currently, in lockdown mode, the users gets an authentication prompt.
I toyed with the idea of turning the lockdown feature off. However, I'm uncertain of the full impact that would have on security. For example, I know it will allow anonymous users to see who created and modified an item, which we don't want exposed to the
public (i.e. our employee names). Seems like opening a can of worms by disabling the lockdown mode...
Any ideas on how to tackle this would be greatly appreciated.

So far, this is the most promising solution I've come across:

  • Trouble Creating View on External Table in Diff Schema

I am unable to create a view in a different schema on an external table in a different schema, even when I am connected to my database as SYS as SYSDBA.
    CREATE VIEW WH1.EXT1VIEW AS SELECT * FROM WH1.EXT1VIEW;
    returns the error:
ORA-06564: object ER_ADMIN_DIR does not exist
    I created a directory:
    CREATE DIRECTORY ER_ADMIN_DIR AS 'C:\ER_Init';

Created the external table EXT1 in a different schema WH1:

    ACCESS PARAMETERS
    (RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
    MISSING FIELD VALUES ARE NULL
    LOCATION ('FILE1.TXT')
    REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED;
I can query from the table successfully connected as SYS:
    SQL> select count(*) from wh1.ext1;
    1008
    1 row selected.
However when I try to create a view on that table connected as SYS:
    CREATE VIEW WH1.EXT1VIEW AS SELECT * FROM WH1.EXT1VIEW;
    I get the following error:
ORA-06564: object ER_ADMIN_DIR does not exist
I can connect over to the WH1 schema and create the view successfully, however due to a specific situation I need to be able to create the view from the SYS schema. I can create the view FORCE and it creates with compilation errors, however the view cannot be compiled successfully from SYS.
Is there a known bug on creating views on external tables remotely?
    Thanks for any help!
    Tina

I have been able to reproduce your error, using scott instead of sys, and resolve it, as demonstrated below. The combination that I found that worked consisted of having wh1 grant select on ext1 to scott explicitly and using set current_schema to wh1, so that ext1view did not require the wh1 qualifier.
