Viewer splits half gray half report (also can't print)

Having trouble getting reports to display correctly on production server.
Also it will not print locally or on server
Windows Server 2003
.NET 4.0 Framework
IE8
I have installed the Cyrstal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0 locally, and installed the redistributal files on the server.
The report displays correctly in VS2010, but...

I am unable to scroll left or right.

That is the settings I have currently set. I have tried several height and width values, as well as removing them totally, still have the issue, it always sizes to what you see in the screenshot. Even if I put height=50 width=350

That is a chunk of the log file that seems to be crystal related, not sure if you can make anything out of it.

Mac SUDDENLY reboots continuously and displays apple logo that is half blue and half gray

I was surfing the web and my Mac goes black and reboots unexpectedly. I say OK, fine.....gray screen comes up then a Apple Logo that is half Blue and half gray appears with a graduated progress bar under the logo......it progresses half way then reboots and repeats-over and over again... I turned the unit off completely to cool off and give it a break.
I disconnected the ethernet cable and a few preipherals.
I am about to re-start in safe mode but wanted to bounce this here first.

Well I took it to the GENIUS BAR and they have to replace the logic board which wont be in until Friday which *****....I am so glad i have APPLE CARE. is all I can say...I am also so very happy this isn't a WINDOWS BOX situation because then there wouldn't be TIME MACHINE. I may or may not have to restore from backup but it is there is I need it....so I will have to re-install all 3rd party software....but hopefully all the data will be there somewhere.....

Missing half of the report!

Longtime Crystal developer and I'm completely stumped!
We converted code over to .net 3 years ago. We're running VS 2005/SqlServer 2005 and Crystal for VS2005.
We have appox 200 reports that converted and everything's fine with them. I have one report that's giving me fits. Our standard platform was XP but we're moving to 7 and that's why I'm here.
This one report has a special page size - it's half a regular 8.5x11 - it's 8.5x5.5. I have to define the form in Windows and assign the form to the printer. The printer is a dot-matrix Okidata that we've used for 12 years now. So, all that has been running fine on XP except at some of my locations, ONLY THE LEFT SIDE of the report (it's actually a bill of lading ticket) printed out. I "fidgited" around and finally got it to work, but I don't remember one concrete thing that caused it. It's VERY WEIRD. Now this same report is having issues in 7 and I'm completely stumped. The report prints fine if I PREVIEW it first and then print, but if I print directly to the printer..no go. I also have another set of companies that print a bill of lading that's 8x11 AND THAT PRINTS FINE.
I've defined a new .rpt and tried to print that and it's the same thing. So I can't tell whether it's VS, crystal report template, the special paper size or what.
One 'wrinkle' is that I don't actually call like "reportdocument" directly. What happens is that the Centura TD code was 'wrapped'
in .net code. But ALL the other reports print fine so I don't think it's that..
Any clues??

Anyhow. I'm pretty sure the printer is the issue here;
1) Crystal Reports requires that a printer driver be Unicode compliant. Most dot matrix printers are not, certainly not 12 year old printers.
2) Printer drivers these days must typically be coded specifically for the OS. I'm pretty sure a 12 year old printer driver is not coded for Win 7. And while other apps, etc., may work with that printer driver, CR may and probably will not.
Possible solutions;
1) Make sure you are using SP1 for CR 10.2:

I doubt SP1 will "fix" anything in this case, but weirder things have happened.
2) Check if Okidata has an updated printer driver for that printer - one that is Unicode compliant and certified for WIN 7 (I kind doubt it...)
3) 12 year old printer... as flip as it may sound, trying a newer printer may be the way to go

Crystal report viewer appears as Gray

Hi everyone,
I am using Crystal report 11.5 and when i call from .net 2008 to view then all its detail section appears gray.I can print the report and I can see all report detail section in printed page.Also when i export report to pdf then it shows all data in pdf. only crystal report itself not showing anything, it shows only gray detail section.
Can anyone help me in this issue.

Crystal Reports 11.5 is not supported on VS 2008. Download and install Crystal Reports Viewer XI
Open a Crystal Report that prints landscape.
Save report with data.
Open that report with Crystal Reports Viewer XI. Report will display landscape.
Click Print..OK
Viewer will attempt to scale output to fit on portrait paper, with varying degrees of success.
Checking the properties of the report from Viewer (File...Report Properties...) shows a "Page Orientation" of "Landscape" and a message "Page Orientation and size defined by the application (no page information set by report author)."
Any ideas on how to get the report to print landscape? It prints that way from Crystal Reports XI.

Why are two previews suddenly half gray?

Any idea why one of my images suddenly appears half gray? Both versions of the image have the same problem. I've tried regenerating both the preview and the thumbnail but it doesn't make any difference. Loading the image in Photoshop doesn't help--it still shows up half gray.

I can only guess, but one possibility is that a file was saved, and then immediately after, a save-as was done. The time stamp could wind up the same in that case, and the file that was saved-as would have extraneous data (from changes and re-saves) stripped out.

That depends on the program, but if it's Preview, go to Page Setup... under the File menu. Select the appropriate paper size there. Then go to File > Print... and do a Preview. If the content does not fit on the page, some printer drivers will have a Scale to Fit setting. If there is none, go back to Page Setup... and manually adjust the Scale until it fits nicely when you do a Preview.

How can I view customer information from SOST report to whom mail was sent to?

Process I have followed:
I run F.27 transaction to send the monthly account statements to customer, I can see the detail of the mails sent to customers from SOST report but a recent requirement has come up and I want to see the detail of customer e.g. Customer Number, Customer Name e.t.c. these details are not visible in SOST report. As I am sending mail to multiple customers hence I can not use the display document feature to view them independently.
In SOST report I can see only the email address to whom the mail was sent to, but how can I see the customer's number or Customer name to whom mail was sent to. Is there any other way to view this detail?

This works! But when I assign C_FINAA-MAIL_BODY_TEXT to a text lets say:

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order.

Can Oracle materialized view be used as crystal report datasource

Hi,
Can we use materialized view created in Orace 10g database as the data source of crystal reports.
I'm using Crystal reports Server 2008 V1 version. I'm unable to find the materialized view under my data connection. I can see only tables, static views and stored procedures.
Is there a way by which I can run my reports against a materialized view created in Oracle.

Hi Thomas,
Rather than doing all of this work around to access multiple databases/servers why not create a stored procedure to do all of this for you? Search the notes area for samples on how/what CR requires to use a SP in Oracle.
Advantages is this is done all server side and CR simply waits for the data to be returned. Even if you are using a BVM or connecting directly to the SP, both cases are server side. Database servers are much more efficient and optimized to run queries and filtering data. CR has to do the filtering on it's second pass and that causes performance delays.
