Viewing content on a secure server

I have a requirement to keep some content secure, yet create
a custom LMS using PHP and MySQL. The LMS would be on public
server, but the content would be inside my clients network on it's
intranet. The students would be logged in via their VPN and have
access to internet and intranet servers. Would I be able to point
the viewer (on an external server) to look for the .mp3 and .swf
files on the intranet servers via the viewer.xml file? I tested
this using two different public internet servers and couldn't get
the presentation to load. It kept showing the loading page. Is this
a cross-domain issue with flash?
I know this sounds like a kludge... but I have a real reason
for needing this configuration. It is that, or move everything into
my clients network, which would make administration of the LMS a
time consuming task.

If I remember correctly Presenter used to support a FlashVar
'baseurl' to pass on a path of data folder which is not sitting
along with the viewer.swf file. Not completely sure how to use it.
You would have to play around a little to get things right.
I would suggest doing it first locally (on the same server)
with viewer.swf of 1 content and data path from another.
Then move on to fight with crossdomain.xml issue (I am sure
it would hit you if you move in that direction)

FYI to any one that may find it in thier heart to answer this...I AM NOT COMPUTER LITERATE I am a veterinarian not a computer programer...so please but things in terms I can understand...i dont know what root access or server admin means...I dont know how to edit config files or even open directories with terminal ...i dont know what pico is or how to open it on my computer. You can retrieve the certificate and check who issued the certificate and other details like when it is valid.
* Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

In previous versions of Project Server, when CREATING a PWA view, we were able to apply/ define a filter for that view. Does not seem like it is the case in Project Server 2013 Online. And if I remember, we could also use the URL Guid_view_id.

What I was hoping to do is the following... Given that our standard that we have adopted for reporting time is 'My Timesheets' (fyi, Single Mode Entry=ON), we have some resources who have others who do it on their behalf via 'My Tasks' (ie., accomplished
by using the 'Assignment Owner' field, accordingly). Therefore, when entering time on someone else's behalf within 'My Tasks', we like to present the user that is logged in only the tasks that they are are assigned to update on others' behlaf.
I know that there is another more elegant approach to doing this which may be to use the Delegation feature. But since we are trying to stick to Sharepoint Security mode for now, this is not an option for the time being.
Any help appreciated would be greatly appreciated.

1- You still can define in Project Online a filter in the view settings, it is located just above the category setting. Here is a screenshot of the summary project center view:
2- The view GUID is not anymore in the URL, since the URL triggers an action only on the webpart and not on the whole page. I agree this is annoying since it was great to send a URL with a specific view.
3- Concerning the access to my timesheet versus my task, I'm not sure to get a full understanding but on a general way, it is much more easy to deal with those situation using categories which you cannot do with the SP permission mode.

I like to setup a secure server "https:www.myweb.com" &
will be storing couple of images (thats all). I guess I can set up
a site in DW but then do not know how to set it up in apache. Can
somebody direct me how to do it or a URL to a tutorial?

Adobe Secured Server

I’m not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question but does Adobe have a media server comparable to Avid Interplay where multi-user have access to the media content of various format and maintained locally without any outside web access. It’s would be on a secured server.

the user tryin to open the document secured with the policy server should be added to the policy first....using policy server web pages one can add users and groups to a policy...only those users/groups added to the policy will be entitled to open any document secured with that policy...

Moving DP Content to a New Server With Same Name

We are currently in the middle of a server OS refresh from 2k8 to 2k12 R2. Some of the servers are DPs so I need to move the content from one server to another. The big problem is that the new server must have the same name.

a server with a new name.
Has anyone done this? Is it possible?
Unless there is something clever the only way I see to do this is to uninstall the DP role from the current server, remove the current server from the domain, add the new server with the same name, re-install the DP role and then re-distribute all the content
to the new server. I'd rather not do this as the DP is on a remote site so all the content will be going over the WAN.
I am running SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3.
Any ideas?

Yes, you could prestage content from the old server to the new server. Prestaged content files could be created from Configuration Manager Administrator Console.

That is one of the intermediate certificates that VeriSign is using. Intermediate certificates are part of the chain that is formed by the web server certificates and build-in root certificates. Such an intermediate certificate needs to be send by the server and is not included by default in Firefox. Firefox will store such an intermediate certificate for future use when a website sends it.

Hi Raju,
Looks like Single server sign-on is on Single Sign-on is applicable when you authenticate yourself using a browser, and not applicable in your case (you are using rwclient). The meaning of single sign-on is that if you authenticate yourself once (eg, while accessing your application or a portal page or another report), in the same browser session you should not be asked for authentication again. As I said, this is not applicable for rwclient requests. For rwclient requests, you have to authenticate yourself in every request.
However, though single sign-on is not applicable, server security is still enforced while you are using rwclient. That is, only authorized users can access the secure reports server and secure reports. So what you should do is provide the credentials for accessing the reports server in your request like this:
rwclient report=.... server=... authid=username/password
The usernbame password above are for those users who have permission on the reports server and the report. You can set and view these permissions using Oracle Portal.

Go to the support site for the provider of the MRI software.
Sounds like it windows/PC. I have ran across that for the CDs that veterinarians provide for digital x-rays.
I would try on a PC or on yuur Mac with Windows via BootCamp or a virtual machine like VirtualBox

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "authorised", but I am experiencing a similar problem...or the same, in that Apple TV keeps telling me to enable home sharing in my MacBook Pro. It does not seem to recognize that home sharing is already enabled on my Laptop.
Is home sharing and "authorised" one in the same? It used to work just fine before these recent Apple TV updates.

Cannot view content grabber in Illustrator CC

Hi all,
I'm very new to Illustrator and finding the learning curve to be quite steep. Two questions - First, is there a kind of "getting started guide" with a brief explanation of the very basics and all features? The little random tutorials they show upon opening the program are helpful, but totally random and I can't find a list of contents even, to go through. I find I'm looking things up one thing at a time, issue by issue. That can't be the best way to learn the basics for a home user.. can it?
Major question right now as I'm using it.. I'm finding that I often cannot see the content grabber on images that I open (from iPhoto, for example) in Illustrator CC. I'd like to see that brown frame to quickly crop the image but the content grabber never shows up so I can't do that. The only "solution" I've seen is to go to View>Extras>View content grabber. But in this version, there is no "extras" in my view menu.
I feel like this is so incredibly basic but I'm learning as I go and totally lacking in resources here.

Web Dynpro by default does not provide the option of printing the view content.
However still you have a round about way of doing it. Create the an html page similar to the Web Dynpro page. Store the code into a String variable.

I hope this discussion can be revived. I have the same problem. There seem to be quite a few Japanese sites that don't bother specifying their encoding. Perhaps they are older and from a time when it was not necessary to adhere to standards. Examples: http://www1.plala.or.jp/CUE/cave_yozawa.html, http://chigaku.web.fc2.com/saitama/sanchi/youzawa/youzawa.html. Happy to upload screenshots, but how?
Is there a way to tell Safari what encoding to use if the web page fails to do that?
