Viewing multiple charts/tables in 1 report

From what I understand about Discoverer, it is not possible to run more than one query in a worksheet and it is not possible to view more than one worksheet at a time in Viewer. We currently have a Business Objects report that executes 5 queries and the data is presented in 5-6 tables/charts/graphs for a corporate customer to view - Year over Year, Top Performers, Production by Channel, etc - all on one page. I am attempting to convert this BO report to Discoverer that will be accessed by external customers on the Portal. If Discoverer is unable to do this then does Oracle have a product that can?

Ott - thanks for the advice - I have now installed Oracle Reports. The report I need to develop requires prompts for a Customer contract ID, begin and end dates and Country code. I see how to create the parameters - I don't see how to incorporate the parameters into the SQL as prompts - can you help? Thanks.

Here is my requirement, i have 7 parameters in my report(Site,Account,LOB,year,Month,WeekDay and Date_Filter),
and in my report i have one table and one Chart,
my requirement is the table in the report has to show the data for 6 parameters only i.e(Site,Account,LOB,year,Month and WeekDay).so the table has to consider only 6 parameters, and it has ignore the 7th parameter, table should not consider Date_Filter parameter.
And Chart has to consider all 7 parameters.
so, when we preview the report table has to show the data for only 6 parameters and chart has to show the data for all 7 parameters.
if there is a way to get this Please reply me ASAP, it is an urgent requirement.

The above graph generated manually in excel. I want to generate the same using excel report generation toolkit. when I use Excel Insert Graph.vi where the input data is 2D array with numeric data but here labview converts the empty cells (eg.x -axis 1,data1- is empty) as zero and while plotting i am getting zero for empty cell values.
Can anyone please help me on how to plot the graph without adding zero for empty cells?

Hi Bharathi,
The Excel Insert graph function takes in only 2d arrays as inputs. Since arrays can only have numeric values, any table with a null string is read as 0. Now to get a plot like you mentioned, you could read the table and replace blank Strings as NaN. NaN values in an array when plotted do not appear in the excel sheet. For reference I have attached a sample vi to help you understand.

Using Multiple Charts in Report

Hi everybody,
I inserted 3 charts in report that are based on different queries. In Report Layout and in Graphic Layout they have the same size. When I run this report these charts change their sizes depending on parameters I am using in queries (Third chart even does not appear). If somebody know how to solve this problem, please help.

Hi All,
I am also facing the same problem. When I download to Powerpoint, its getting downloaded properly and whn I download to excel, I am not able to download properly. I have 2 charts of the same report being displayd sde-by-side and under them I have a pivot table displayed in compound view. When downloaded to excel, the first chart is overlapping on top of the report in the excel.
Can anyone suggest if we have any options?

Join multiple fact tables and dimensions and use all tables in report issue

I have a report requirements and need to use multiple fact tables and unconformed dimensions as described below
Fact table: F1,F2,F3
Dimensions tables: D1.....D9
F1:(joined to) D1,D2,D3,D4
F2::(joined to)D1,D2,D5,D6
F3::(joined to)D1,D2,D7,D8
D7::(joined to)D9,D8 (dimension D7 joined to two other dimensions D9 and D8
I'm trying to use columns from almost all the fact and dimension tables but getting "Unable to navigate requested expression. Please fix the metadata consistency warnings."
Repository is consistent and no errors and warnings.
How can I configure the repository to develop reports using all fact tables and dimensions?

So you want me to convert snowflake schema to star. does it solve my problem? individual star queries are working find but when I query multiple stars together getting inconsistency errors. I removed content tables dim level totals for unconformed dimensions in logical fact LTS and set level for measures at total level for unconformed dimensions. it is still in progress and need to test.

Finally, I decided to use a join SQL or SubReport to do it.SubReport can support multiple pushing of ResultSet.

I am directly now using crystal report viewer control in my vb6 project.
As mentioned in previous mail, i have created a Interop Wrapper class over crystal report viewer control in .Net using visual studio 2008 and i am making use of wrapper class in my vb6 project.
I am able to access all the properties that have been defined in my Interop wrapper Class but the only stuff i need is to view multiple reports generated one after the another for a single button click Event.
Please find below the code that iam using to load and generate reports.
Note:
1. frm is the instance of my Interop Wrapper Class built over CR viewer control
2. All the user defined methods of Wrapper class that you see below will internally call the actual crystalreportviewer   properties defined in my Wrapper class

Updating multiple tables from updatable report

Hi, I'm new to APEX and SQL and need some help
I've got 2 tables, one for person (containing employee_id which is the primary key and position_id, which shows the position that the employee fills, and some others) and one for position (containing position_id as primary key and current_inc, which shows which employee is currently in that position, and various others). All variables are varchar2.
Now I've made an updatable report for the person table that can add and update the table without problems using a multi row update, but I also want if to update the value of current_inc in the position table if I were to assign a position to a certain employee in the person table.
I've though of using either a trigger or a procedure to do it but havn't been able to find satisfying examples online.
Any suggestions on how to do it (please include sql code)

View multiple tables (same schema) in Work space in Jdev 11

IN Jdev 10g, you could open ,ultiple tables at once within a single DB connection. Recently downloaded 11g and whenever I click to view a new table (data, layout, etc) it replaces the current table I was working with with the newly slected table. Is there a way to make them line up next to each other in the work space rather than replacing the open table?

Using 1 dataset for multiple tables in the report

All,
Say I have a stored procedure with some parameters and the result set looks like this:
State   ACount    BCount     Description
VA           10            20           Category1
TX           15            25           Category1
VA           30            40           Category2
TX           40            50           Category2
NY           5              5             Category3
NJ           10            10 Category3
Now, what I want is 3 separate tablixes (tables) in my report using my stored procedure (just 1 dataset for all these tables). I want the result to be dispalyed something like this:
Category1 (1st tablix)
State   ACount    BCount     Description
VA           10            20           Category1
TX           15            25           Category1
Category2 (2nd tablix)
VA           30            40           Category2
TX           40            50           Category2
Category3 (3rd tablix)
NY           5              5             Category3
NJ           10            10 Category3
I want Category1, Category2 and Category3 to be 3 different tablixes in my report using the same stored procedure.
How can I accomplish that? Let me know if you have any questions.

I also design the report using Report Designer. So you can directly do the same steps as I post.
In the fourth step that "Insert the corresponding fields to the second table" means directly insert State, ACount, BCount and Description fields. Please note that the list control is used to split one table into several tables based on the
Description group: one table only displays the values when Description=Category1, one table only displays the values when Description=Category2, another table only displays the values when Description=Category3. We needn't add filters in the table, just add
the list.

Problem in creating reports with one multiple detail tables

hi,
i tried to create workbook in the discoverer user edition with ONE MASTER TABLES AND MULTIPLE DETAL TABLES. but it does not allow . is there any solution ?

I've given up on trying to do this in the user edition - the 2 masters to multiple details. Instead, I create custom folders in the admin edition. They never complain about masters and details. If anyone ever figures out how to do this in the User Edition, I'd sure like to hear about it. I do agree that the original problem - 1 master to multiple details works fine in 3.1.44.

By default, a data region (table) may only reference one dataset,
not two, making the combination of two datasets into a single table not possible in SQL Server 2008 R2. But, in production, sites using: dataviews, reports based on SharePoint List connection type, reports based
on SQL Views of the SharePoint database and sites using bespoke/third-party charting web parts, all of these Report Mechanism are available for displaying the multiple list data.

How to run multiple sqls in one jasper report

Hello!
Is there any one that can help me in integrating/ viewing my xml file to the web. I have my GUI in jsp format, the jsp makes a call to the bean class and then finally bean class hit my reports java class.The report java class generates the report and shows it in the new window.
The problem is with writing mutiple sql queries and showing the result from multiple sql queires in one report.
I do not know how to write multiple queries for just 1 report. I can give a simple example of my problem also.
My report is as follows:
First Name Middle Name Last name
Sandeep Pathak
Now First and Middle Name come from 1st sql query and Last Name comes from 2nd sql query.
I want to join the result obtained from both the sql queries in one Jasper Report (not as 2 separate sections but as one section).
My problem is how to view my report in the web. furthermore, how to make complex query in jasperassistant, like multiple table in one query, because i�m integrating multiple query in one form or sheets of paper.
Please help me in this.

we never have issues when we combine standard objects, like a cliear with a load inforprovider, or the master data integration you mentioned in your document. However, from the moment we combine a script logic with a standard package (like a move) it does not work .The data package contains the task needed for the script and for the move. the process chain is called up but always comes in error in the first step (BPC modify dynamically ) ... there is also no log when checking the view status ...

As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
"Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
"DialyzerID".
However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
column headers in table in pdf report from
c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:

But here is my problem how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.

So my question is how to make my column headers in bold?
So these are my questions.
1. how can i align Title(DCS Clinical Report-Technician wise) center of pdf report with image named:logo5.png immediately coming to it's right?.
2. how do i add the given below row and it's data to my top my table in pdf report from c# windows forms using itextsharp?
3.how to make my column headers in bold?
I know that i have to do some modifications to my code but i dont know how to do it. Can anyone help me please.
Any help or guidance in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry for the issue that you are hitting now.
This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.
