Visibility properties of an input file

Hi all gurus,
in a WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of a standard view in SRM 7, I'm adding some dinamically retrieved custom fields. Here's a sketch of code that shows how I create the couple label and attribute for a field::
LOOP AT lt_header_csf INTO ls_header_csf.
* Concatenate attribute id and label
        CONCATENATE ls_header_csf-field_name '_ATTR'  INTO lv_attr_id.
        CONCATENATE ls_header_csf-field_name '_LABEL' INTO lv_label_id.
        lo_ui_element_attr  ?= view->get_element( lv_attr_id ).
        lo_ui_element_label ?= view->get_element( lv_label_id ).
        lo_container->add_child( the_child = lo_ui_element_label ).
        lo_container->add_child( the_child = lo_ui_element_attr ).
There's a problem with a single field, which is defined as a CHAR(250). By now, the input box for that field is really huge and this mess up the view.
Is there any attribute/property I can change for that lo_ui_element_attr in order to keep it as an input field of 250 c but setting a fixed dimension for the input box ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi kris,
these are the DATA declaration in the enhancement:
lo_ui_element_attr      TYPE REF TO cl_wd_uielement,
           lo_ui_element_label     TYPE REF TO cl_wd_uielement,
I'd prefer to keep these one as the code that follows use the interface of cl_wd_uielement (and also, this declaration fits all the custom fields in my code). Can I eventually use a downcast for the specific field to a TEXT_EDIT UI element?
I've seen there's a LENGHT attribute for an object of type cl_wd_uielement, does it represents the real lenght o just what's visible on screen?

  • Input File Question

    Hi, all!
    I have an input file (InputFileA) that is sent to me from a third party.  I have to load the file into a Table (TableA) and also include, with each row that is loaded, the name of the file from which it came.
    EXAMPLE:
    InputFileA looks like this:
    Number  Amount
    000001  1200.00
    000002  2400.00
    TableA (columns: NUMBER, AMOUNT, FILENAME) should have the following inserts done:
    NUMBER: 000001
    AMOUNT: 1200.00
    FILENAME: InputFileA
    NUMBER: 000002
    AMOUNT: 2400.00
    FILENAME: InputFileA
    Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can extract the filename and then insert it into the Table for each row that is inserted from InputFileA?
    I'm new to SQL Server (originally a DB2 guy) and I don't have much of a programming background, so I'm kind of stuck on this one.
    Thanks in advance and hi to everyone!
    Don

    Assuming you're using SSIS for transfer you can set it up as below
    1. Add a ForEachLoop with file enumerator pointing to file location. Use a variable inside to fetch filename of files found (@[User::FileName]).
    2. Add a data flow task inside loop with flat file source pointing to your file and set an expression for connection string to point to your dynamic file. For this select connection manager,  right click and select properties. Expand expression and
    set an expression for connectionstring property to  point to @[User::FileName] variable.
    3. Add a derived column task, add expression as @[User::FileName] and choose add as a new column option and give it name FILENAME
    4. Add OLEDB Destination to point to your table and map columns from source file to table columns and FILENAME column created above to FILENAME column of the table
    Execute it and you'll get your desired output.

         else{

  • No sync with audio for input files AVI MPEG4 23.976 fps

    No sync with audio for input files AVI MPEG4 23.976 fps.
    If i open in Premiere Pro CC any file AVI MPEG4 23.976 fps (with internal audio MP3 or AC3) i got growing out of sync from start to end of file, even while play it at internal media player of Premiere Pro CC for source file.
    Using external audio files AC3 or MP3 not help.
    In properties of source file i see 23.97 fps instead of 23.976 fps, and time of internal file is wrong.
    If i try Clip > Modify > Interpreter Footage > custom settings to 23.976 time i see right time, but when i click "OK", custom fps saved as 23.98 fps instead of 23.976 fps and time of source goes wrong again.
    So i always get bad sync such files in Premiere Pro CC while play or export them.
    But in all media players, other editors, and in PluralEyes sync OK with all such files.
    If i open M2TS or MP4 (H264 23.976 fps) source file, all OK, it it shows as 23.976 fps, time is right, and sync OK.
    So i want to add automatic detection 23.976 fps instead of 23.97 fps for source AVI files with 23.976 fps.
    Is it possible?

    Yes, i know what XviD and DivX does not edit well in Premiere Pro. And because of that i create this topic "No sync with audio for input files AVI MPEG4 23.976 fps" and was hoping to get help in solving the problem, rather than stating that the problem really is.
    XviD and DivX it is MPEG4.
    Xvid (formerly "XviD") is a video codec library following the MPEG-4 standard, specifically MPEG-4 Part 2 Advanced Simple Profile (ASP).
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xvid
    I have many old useful materials in XviD and DivX formats, and have no other formats versions for that material.
    XviD and DivX are very compact formats to store video at acceptable quality and it is fully compatible with all players and editors for PC except Premiere Pro.
    You suggest to convert them to another format (DV) to make compatible with Premiere Pro... It is not what i want.
    Let me explaine:
    1) Size of files
    uploaded AVI XviD 1280x720 file with very good quality have size 1.9Gb (with audio AC3 2.0). If i convert it via VirtualDub from "AVI XviD" to AVI DVCPRO HD 1280x720 (without audio) it have size 35Gb, and quality is worst than at XviD-HD, and also converting take much time.
    2) Compatibility with AC3 and MP3 audio inside AVI
    AVI DV / AVI DVCPRO not compatible with AC3 and MP3 audio inside, only with PCM
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DV
    AVI XviD and DivX can use AC3, MP3, OGG audio without any problems.
    Size of 1Hour 30Min "AC3 Stereo 48kHz 16bit 384Kbps" file is 257Mb
    Size of 1Hour 30Min "PCM Stereo 48kHz 16bit" file is 1030Mb
    3) I have and use hardware H264 encoder card "Matrox CompressHD" for export my material
    http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/compresshd/specs/
    This card works only from Adobe Premiere Pro, so i can not use it from VirtualDub or other editing software.
    So i need a full compatibility Adobe Premiere Pro with all popular standard formats of input files.
    Here we see:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/extend.html#Supportedvideoformats
    Supported video formats:
    "Adobe Premiere Pro CC leads the industry with incredible, thorough native media support, meaning you can edit virtually all of the major video, image, and audio formats natively without waiting."
    As most PC users knows, AVI XviD it is a very popular free video format, and would be very useful if Adobe will make normal compatibility with that format in Premiere Pro.

  • Need Help-SOA 11g File Adapter unable to delete input file and its crashing

    Hi All
    Please find the details below:
    1. We have created a simple SOA composite to Read file from an input directory, archive the file in an archive directory using Inbound File Adapter Read
    and then use Outbound File Adapter Write to move the file to a output directory.
    2. File Adapter needs to delete the file after successful read/retrieval.
    3. We are using the "Use Trigger File" for invoking the file adapter. This is a new feature in SOA 11g
    4. Also we are using the option of reading the file as an attachment as we are not doing any transformation in the composite
    Issue Details_
    1. When the trigger file is put in the input directory for the first time, the File Adapter reads the file, archives it and moves it to the output directory
    2. However it does not delete the input file from the input directory and raises Fatal Exception mentioned below:

    Hi,
    Using the file adapter, you can poll from multilple locations...
    Keep the following property in your .jca file
    <property name="DirectorySeparator" value="," />
    While giving the path in File Adapter configuration, keep comma and give the next location....then the file will be picked up from the locations you gave....
    Hope this helps...

  • How do I add to "properties" of an MP3 file in Windows so iPod will accept?

    I posted a problem yesterday, which I was clueless about. Today I know what the problem is, but don't know how to fix it.
    I have 30 MP3 files in a playlist, all from an identical album. I can play every file on my computer through iTunes with no problems. HOWEVER.... my iPod only "recognises" 23 of the 30 files and won't accept the remaining 7.
    I have updated the "info" part of the tags, made it a compilation etc. THat didn't work. THe problem is the the amount of detail in the "properties" section of each file. The 23 that the iPod will accept have many details in the properties section ... eg. artist, title, duration, audio etc etc .. the 7 that will not migrate across only have two details - "type" and "size"...
    SOOO my question is: How do I add to the "properties" of the MP3 files in Windows so the iPod will accept them?
    Would really appreciate some help here, its drivin me nutz!!

    Hi,
    As it didn't work in iTunes, I'm not sure completing the id3 fields for your 7 files through another app will correct the problem. But in any case, one program I use to edit id3 tags is ID3-TagIT. It's freeware.

    Good luck.

    so say at one instance there are 7 files and XI picks them up, your BPM collects it and when you send it to R3 you need to know how many files have been processed?
    Well if this is the case, modify your BPM to accommodate collect pattern based on time. So fix a time period basically a time out say an hour. So the BPM will run for an hour after it receives the first file in and if within an hour say 7 files have come in, once the time out kicks in the BPM will exit. In you mapping of N:1 inside the bpm you can write a UDF which will count the occurrance of the root node of the source (a mandatory node of the source) and populate it to any field in the target tht you want to use.

  • How to execute an SSIS package on a scheduled basis from remote server and pass in input files

    I have an application server and a db server.  My db server has all things SQL Server stored on it (DBMS, SSRS, SSIS, etc.)  I have several nightly batch process SSIS packages (dtsx files currently) that will pickup an input file and import them
    into the database.  I would like to execute all batch processes from my application server as I have quite a few other ones as well that do other stuff outside of SQL Server via powershell.  My question is how to do this?  Is there away to execute
    them remotely via DTexec.exe, should I set them up as Agent jobs and somehow pass in the file names\location (how?), create and SSIS catalog, etc.?
    I need to easily be able to see if the packages execute successfully or not and if not capture the detailed information of why they failed from the remote server so I can use that to drive my process flow logic in the batch processes.

    Hi Jason,
    According to your description, you want to execute a package on a schedule and receive notification when package ends with error in the job.
    After testing the issue in my environment, we can directly add the package in a step of a job, then add a schedule and set the Alert and Notification property in the job to achieve your requirement. For more details, please see:
    Create a Database Mail in the SSMS.
    Right-click the SQL Server Agent services to Enable mail profile, then select the appropriate Mail profile.
    Under the Operators folder, create an operator with the correct E-mail name.
    Right-click the Jobs folder to add a new job.
    In the Steps pane, New a step with SQL Server Integration Services Package Type to run the package.
    In the Schedules pane, New a schedule for the job.
    In the Alerts pane, New an alert with SQL Server event alert, then enable Notify operators option with an operator in the Response pane.
    In the Notifications pane, enable Email option with same operator and When the job fails selection.
    Then when the package fails, the job would be failed and we can receive the error message in the mailbox.
    Besides, please make sure the account that execute the job has correct permissions for the file, for the folder that contains the file, and for the database.

  • Background job not responding to input file

    Hi all,
        I have created a program which takes one input file . The user gives the path for the file .
    Now the program runs fine in foreground, but it throws the error 'FILE_READ_ERROR' while run in background .
    Any pointers to this ?!
    Thanks,
    ~Abap lover

    In background there is no connection to frontend. You can only pickup files on the application server.
    Regards,
    John.

  • Help needed on Transforming input File to EDI Format

    I have an input flat file in one location. Using BizTalk, i need to pick that file from that Recieve location, transform it to EDI format and send it to Destination location.
    Now, when I place input file in the "Recieve location", it is being processed and it is erased from recieve location. But I am not able to see the output in the Destination location.
    And when i query it in BizTalk Administration console, the state is "Completed" without any errors.
     Any guidance/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi all, I have just collated everything and have put it in my words below..Please
    let me know your valuable inputs as I am struck in this point from more than a week.
    I need to fetch an input flat file (.txt format) from the "Receive location" and I am supposed to transform that to an EDI message X12 format and send it to Destination folder.
    I have set up the receive port and send port configurations in the Admin Console, have created the Trading Partners, agreement and other settings.
    The problem I am facing : Now, when I place input file in the "Receive location", it is being processed and I am able to pick up the file from the input folder
    but I am not able to figure out why the file is not being processed and sent to the destination folder.. (If I query for All In Progress instances, suspended instances or Running instances : I am not getting any results and the below grid is always empty).
    And when i query it in Biz-talk Administration console for Tracked instances, the Receive pipeline component's state is "Completed" without any errors.
    And I am not using any Orchestration in between..
    Thank you all in advance....

  • Getting No input file specified. in php with index.php

    I just installed on a server (soalris10/u6 sparc) Web Server 7.0u4 (upgraded from u3), and I am now getting "No input file specified." for any php doc root, I now have to type the full path to get the main page.
    I am using the php part of the Sun coolstack 1.3.1 and it used to work fine with web server 7.0 u3, but now after the upgrade its not loading index.php
    for example I am going to http://server.domain.com/wiki used to work by loading index.php, but now I have to type the full index... http://server.domain.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
    Any help is appreciated.

    If you're not currently using a php.ini, you can pass the parameter to PHP via your FastCGI configuration. Something like:
    Service fn=responder-fastcgi
            app-path="/export/WS7/third-party/php/php_fcgi"
            bind-path="$(lc($urlhost))"
            req-retry=5
            type="*magnus-internal/fastcgi*"
            app-env="PHPRC=/export/WS7/fooBaz/config"Now place a file called php.ini in /export/WS7/fooBaz/config and make sure that the UID Web Server is running as has permission to read it.
    Common syntax is KEY = Value. An example would be:
    cgi.fix_pathinfo = Off
    session.bug_compat_42 = Off
    session.bug_compat_warn = Off
    magic_quotes_gpc = Off
    memory_limit = 128M
    post_max_size = 128M
    upload_max_filesize = 128M
    fastcgi.logging = true

  • Can I find out the full filename of input file in message mapping?

    I have in XI 2.0 the following scenario :
    In the inbound fileadapter I read my input file. The filename of the input file is part fixed, part variable (Like INDATA01.txt, INDATA03.txt, etc).
    So in my Adapterconfiguration, I specify the filename with a wildcard (INDATA*.txt).
    What I now want to do, is in my Message Mapping use the full filename , so I can do something different for every filenumber. Is there a way where I can get the full filename available in my message mapping (I did not find the filename in the XML in the message trace).

    You're backing up hundreds or thousands of files:  There's the catalog (database) itself and also the media files.
    In PSE10, when doing a backup, PSE displays the size of the backup before you begin the actual backup:
    I assume PSE8 will have something similar.
