Vision downloads

I'm not very technical and am just wanting to clarify that when using the YouView box but going onto Vision Unlimited that the free programmes you select do not count towards your downloads. My little lad is constantly selecting the kids programmes and it's suddenly dawned on me that there may be hidden costs!! Maybe I'm just too cynical! Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums..
The usage of any on-demand feature via the youview box (including itv-player, bbc iplayer, milkshake, NowTV which are not via the BT Vision Player) does not count towards your download usage.

Yup. Plug the auxiliary SCART on the Vbox into a SCART input on your DVD/VCR and set it to record from that input.
If you are using an HDMI lead between the Vbox and TV make sure and change the aspect ratio on the Vbox to 16:9 rather than the HD ratios while you're doing the recording or you will find the recording will be distorted.
BT Vision -> Settings -> TV Settings -> Screen Aspect Ratio
I have also found that if you're using HDMI and switch the TV off while doing a recording (e.g. overnight or when you're out) there can also be an issue, so best to unplug the HDMI in those cases, so best to unplug the HDMI from one end completely.
It is good practice to back up your recordings as a disk failure, software failure or update could wipe them out.

3.5 hours of recordings yet HDD about 80% full

I noticed that a recent recording failed due to the hard disk being full.
I didn't have much recorded, but I deleted a couple of series I can live without to try and free up some space. I probably removed about 5-6 hours of recordings.
So, I now have about 3.5 hours (3h20m to be precise) of shows recorded on my BTV box. Yet in the Recordings Menu, the bar showing disk space suggests the HDD is still about 80% full. I'm not buffering any live TV.
I don't seem to be able to find a menu anywhere that gives me precise details, but I have to assume there is a problem somewhere - those stats can't be right.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Does anyone know how to resolve it? What else might be using up disk space?

Do you mean a reboot as in powercycle or as in a factory reset, under the system information menu?
BT Vision -> My Vision -> Downloads
Downloads are only deleted when you delete them or the license runs out, so they can kick around for a while.
By reboot I mean pull the plug, count to 10 and plug back in again. DON'T do a factory reset.

I want to install back Windoes XP SP2 on my boot camp.

I tried to installed XP Sp2 on my iMac Bootcamp. Sinc the message shows about no startup disc error....on black screen, i had removed back XP CD and unintentionallly insert Mac OS Disc and installed iMac again. So I have same operating system on my computer. I am trying to install XP on Bootcamp, but unable to continue installation. Ther is message like bootpartation do not agree or so. How can I reformat on that bootcamp and install my XP Sp2?

Zen Vision M 30gb, used to be able to download music from I tunes, can't now, need he

I had another computer with I tunes loaded, also used Zen vision M on it along with I Pod, new computer has both products downloaded on it, but for some reason it wont recognize the Zen or let me download music from the i tunes library like i used to. also this computer uses windows vista. So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version). They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder. You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE: An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1. If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original). I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer. When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast
Settings>General>Accessibility>Bold Text
are some settings that may help.
There are other settings there ...they may not be to your liking but try them all anyways.
But that's about all you can do for now...except to voice your opinion to Apple here:

I have a creative vision m and when transfering downloaded video, playback is upside down and mirrowed... HOW DO I PREVENT THIS? quality is great and sound is great.

Where can I download "Vision Remote Panel Engine"

Hi,
I'd like to be able to view a Real-Time application on a remote computer (without LabVIEW installed). I've installed LabVIEW RunTime 8.5.1 and the image that I display (on the web server) in the VI is always black. In this page, it says that I need to download Vision Remote Panel Engine (which is free) to be able to display the image that I acquire with my smart camera 1722. Where can I download this? I don't want to download Vision Runtime because it's not free..

Hi Mike,
So you mean that I only need to install LabView runtime and I'm supposed to see the image that I acquire in the Image Display?
My problem is that I see the indicator, but the image is always black. I guess I miss something. In the second link I gave, in the related link, it refers to Vision Acquisition Software download. I'm installing it right now. Hope it's gonna solve my problem.
I never get a prompt message when I was in the web browser and I'm not even connected on the internet (I'm only connected to the smart camera and I have a fixed IP address).
Let's see if I see something with Vision Acquisition Software...

I got a Labview 8.6 trial virsion and 7.1 original virsion and both of them doesnt contain vision and motion module , does anyone know how to get this module ??

What are your desired applications? Vision comes in three varieties: Vision Acquisition Software-VAS (just for image acquisition), Vision Development module (Acquire and process), and Vision Builder for Automated test (for stand alone Vision inspections).
NI-Motion is the motion driver that allows you to do motion control.
All of these pieces of software are separate from LabVIEW. NI-Motion comes with our motion hardware and VAS comes with our frame grabbers. You can download evaluation versions at ni.com to see how each of the programs work.
