Visual Composer content in Portal

Hello,
I created a dashboard with VC. Now I want to open the content to the public with an URL.
I can see the content in the Portal, but I don´t know how to publish ut...
can someone please help me?

Hi,
1) You have to create one work set with entry point set to true in a portal
2) Add page created in VC to work set.
3) Create one role. add work set to that role.
4) Go to user management> Identity management>select for user-->assign newly created role to that user.
Save the changes and refresh the browser. new tab will appear.

Hi,
after doing deployment the model in the VC will be published in the Portal content.
You can define the path where you want to publish the Model in the Portal under portalk content in
(In VC) Tools->Options->Compiler->Deployment folder(mention the folder name in the portal content).

Problem during deploying bw iview from visual composer module on Portal.

we are working on Portal 6.0 sp 11 and using VC 6.0 sp 4 for developinrg R3 and Bw iviews on Visual composer. There is no problem in deploying the r3 iviews on the portal but in case of BW (3.0 and 3.5 ) iviews while deploying it to portal gives the following

We are having a similar issue. We have been able to deploy non-BI content on our setup. There seems to be a problem with the BI plugin piece.
Sequence:
1) Confirmation: PAR name may exceed OS limits. To avoid errors PAR was automatically renamed to: com.autogen.guimachine_0509145218.par

Import Visual Composer iView to portal

Hi experts,
My question is: how can I import the VC generated iView into the portal as a fix iView?
To give you an example: When I am in the portal I would like to access the VC generated iView by clicking on a fix navigation item, in order to be able to open this iView(Report) anytime I want.

Hi Thomas,
Follow the following steps:
1. When you are deploying from VC, click check button and noe down the name of the par file.
2. open your portal page using administrator credentials using the following link as example - http://<ip address>:50000/irj/portal
3. Click the tab Java Developer
4. Click the "PDK Component Starter&Viewer" link on the right-hand side frame.
5. Go to Overview tab.
6. Select your par, for example - com.autogen.guimachine.testbapi1.iView_GYI
7. Click Details link
8. Click Start link.
Check out the url in the browser, save it if you need that for future use.

I have downloaded the Netweaver 6 Sneak Preview with Enterprise Portal 6. I have also downloaded the old GUIMachine Visual Composer, which does not connect to EP 6 correctly. Is there a place I can download the Visual Composer for Enterprise Portal 6?

Not able to find the options in Visual Composer studio

I am having Visual Composer role in Portal.
While I entered in Visual Composer studio, I am not able to see any option :
Browse, Compose, Configure, Inspect, Find Data, Deploy at the right pane of the window.

Role for enduser to access Dashboards in Visual Composer in portal

Hi,
I(developer) created 5 Dashboards using Visual Composer and published them (iviews) in a role.
As a developer i got VC role assigned to me in portal to work on Visual Composer.
Now my requirment is to assig this Dashboard role to all users..so that users can access them in portal.
All the users have data authorisation for those 5 queries on which dashboards are built.Currently they are executing reports in portal
What roles do i need to assign to the Client/Endusers so that they are authorised to execute the dashboard reports

Firstly, in portal go to Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Visual Composer and then search for your dashboard.
Copy your dashboard (put the iView in a page) page and paste as delta link in any newly created Role.
In User Administration, assign this role to all users.

When you create and deploy a VC application, the deployed iView/s are automatically created in the portal under the folder that you have specified (in VC Tools> Compiler options>portal deployment), or by default under Content Administration>Portal Content>Visual Composer folder.
Check this for your BI, VC and Portal requirement:

Portal Activity report through Visual Composer

Hi all,
We are implementing the activity report model in Visual Composer as described in the Wiki:

We are able to find the required webservices and drag them onto the storyboard. But when we try to test the webservice Getcontentstat with correct input we receive an error:
Portal request failed. (Could not execute webservice, consult your administrator).
We guessed this was some sort of authentication error, so we defined a differerent user for the webservice in Visual Administrator and then we receive a different kind of error:
Portal request failed (Fault returned from server: )
Any suggestions are very welcome.

I facing the same problem when i try execute this webservice from soapUi client.
What did you did for to solve this problem?
The message is:
The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.ActivityReportWS or the service was not found.
When i execute from VC, returns no messages.

Visual Composer Dashboards authorisation error in portal

Hi Experts
I created dashboard reports using Vusial Composer.
In portal i got authorisation for portal content & system admi and VC role...when i execute dashbpards there are running good.
I created a test user with required authorisation in BW and in portal he is assigned iwth Z role in which bw reports are published in iviews and dashboars and VC role
When he tries to executes dashboad following error accours
Failed to connect to backend system.Check your system definition and user previlages
What am i missing

Hi,
this seems to be a permission issue. One guess: the test-user needs execute-permissions for the BI-System object. Check if this is the case.
If not have a look in your default-trace if there is a permission-related exception.

Can you please test that all the VC SCA's are deployed on your server.
In order to do so, you need to go to the J2EE Home Page and then press the System Information Link
Go to the Components Info Tab
Here is the list of the Software components that should be deployed:

VCFRAMEWORK

Also if the message that you receive (after logon to the VC) is:"You are not authorized to view the requested resource",
