VPP Facilitator is getting asked for Credit Card
I am the program manager for our school system and I set up three facilitators from the manager site. It provided instructions to send to each facilitator to set up their Apple ID's. However, now when we use their ID's they created as directed in the App store from an iPad the App store is going through a review process that at the end is asking for a credit card with no option of saying "NONE." How do we get around this?
I would contact your Apple Education Customer rep or salesperson. As the program manager you should have access to the email accounts and ids used by the facilitators - use email account aliases if possible. If not, if a facilitator leaves you will not have access.
You could also try installing a free app with the facilitator ids.

Yes, I followed the instructions to the letter. But it asks for credit information anyway and 'none' is supposed to be an option when setting up an account 'with no credit card'.
I have two new iphones, the first one set up as expected, where 'none' was an option. Now that I'm attempting to set up the second with different information, there is no 'none', only Mastercard,Visa, AmerX, Discover and Paypal.

This is so frustrating! I have an itunes store account, etc. I lost all my info when I had to "restore" my iphone.
I wasn't able to do the "restore" until recently, gosh it was about 6mos or more ago when my iphone died...
So, as I get older I am having memory problems and haven't been able to access my itunes account.
Obviously when I did the "restore" on my iphone I lost all my info with it... So, wanting to use my iphone for
music, games, etc. I had to create a new apple id, fine, but when I wanted to download a "free" app it says
my apple id hasn't been used with itunes so it keeps asking for credit card info.
I do not remember ever having to have a credit card before!
I am so frustrated... First it was not being able to access my account then having to create a new one, fine!
But now I can't download "free" content without credit card information!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! UGH!!!!!!!

"Distressed"If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

I have a student trying to set up an App Store account (she has an Apple ID), however she is being asked for credit card information. The option of NONE does not appear as one of the choices with the other credit cards.

When attempting to perform updates on my iphone, it asks for credit card information. I give them the information directly from the card but then it tells me that the security code is invalid. I have rechecked the information several times which also includes reentering the card info and still it says its wrong. What do I do?

If you have an existing ID, & you don't want to use a credit card, you'll have to redeem an iTunes gift card. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to create a new ID by following the directions here, EXACTLY:

Are they "Free" apps with In-App Purchases? If so, you need a credit card on file for the In-App Purchases.

II have just put a $25 credit on my itunes acct. I previously had my credit card charged now it doesn't acknowledge my $25 credit only asks for credit card info. Is there something I have to do to charge my gift card?
How much is the cost of what you wish to buy? The credit is used first and credit card info wouldbe requested for any outstanding balance. The US store prices do not reflect the local sales taxes that are added in the final steps of the purchase transaction.

All these days all the free apps I am able to purchase without any difficulty. From today I tried downloading free app it's asking for credit card verification even for free app purchase. In the time of creating the account I have selected None option.

2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must use new Apple ID)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps -
