ps aux | awk '{ print $1; }' | sort | uniq
will give you a nice sorted list, easy to read.

Showing list of users locked in message

Hi Experts,
I have a substitute table where in all the users and substitutes are stored .
when adding or change new substitue in table it should thorugh the list of users locked in table.
Currently it loops the table and displays for the first user whooever is locked. I need to display the list for users in error message any idea would be great , or any alternative idea will be helpful.

Whenever it finds first locks record and throws error then store that error in another internal table instead of displaying it, it will keep collecting the locked records.. After the loop, you have list of all locked records.

Users who don't have the "update user" capability can update users!

Version: Sun IdM 7.0 on Glassfish on Sparc
We have hit a problem/bug whereby a help desk user (which doesn't have the "update user" capability in either their user account or the help desk role) was able to select the campus from the "List Users" tab, and then click "Update Users" from the dropdown, and kickoff a FULL push of data from our HR system to AD. We haven't fully migrated to IdM to provision the accounts (we have another piece of software that does this for now), so needless to say this was not expecting or desired. Some of the users (student workers, mostly) had their email addresses changed from their exchange email to their student email, and other users had their display names changed (which seems like a small thing, but there are a lot of vocal users out there...). We are working on restoring the users that changed.
Does anyone know of a quick and dirty way to disable the "list users" tab until we can figure out how to prevent this from happening again?

Also, is there a way to only show this control for administrative users, and not for "help desk" users?

Field Exit - How do I show list for user to select?

Hi,
I am writing a field exit for Group Asset on TCode AS01. The field exit will check a custom table to give the user an option to select values from a dropdown list.
Any suggestions on how to do this? I understand how to force a value in the field by putting it in OUTPUT, but not sure how to allow the user to select from a list?

I'm not sure how to attach a search help to it because it is a field on a standard SAP screen that already has a search help.
This is probably not going to be very clean, but let me give more details as to what I'm trying to accomplish.
There is a field "Group Asset" that is on t-codes AS01, AS01, AS11. There is already a search help provided by SAP. The functional person wants me to create a field-exit to check a custom table based on Company Code, Cost Center, and Asset Class importing PIDs. If there is only one group asset that fits the criteria, then I will just place it in the field. If there are multiple group assets, then the user has to select which one and place it in the field.

that is odd! that should not be happening.
Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes.

My thumbnails are not showing up next to the icons in finder. Also the back arrow and forward arrow as well as the list options don't show up. Any suggestions how to get them back?

In my Finder window, the picture icons that usually show up next to the items are not there. i.e. in my sidebar, the little pictures that are usually by the Application, Desktop, Documents, etc items. Also, the back and forward arrows, list items and tasks don't show as well. Any ideas on how to get them back?

Some Events Don't Show Up in List View on Calendar

I love using Calendar on my iPhone 4S. I like the List View, where I can everything I have for that day. However, I've noticed a glitch: some events which are on my calendar for that day when you view the day by tapping on the day of the month, don't show up when you tap on "List". I don't get it. I can't figure it out for the life of me.
Does anyone know why that happens?

Are the events missing subscription events?
I recently took the big leap into the total wireless syncing thing. And unfortunately I have found that anything that is subscription won't sync from iCal on my macbook pro to MM or my iPhone 3G. And when I say subscription, if there are any calendars that you have subscribed to in iCal that show up on a separate list, in 10.5, they will not be included in the syncing. However, there is one subscription of moon phases that ended up in the regular part of the list and it is syncing to my phone and MM just fine.
This is upsetting to me because I would like very much to subscribe to my wife's calendar to have on my iPhone and on MM and they won't be showing up because they are not supported. I checked with AppleCare on this and they told me that Apple is not allowing subscriptions because of the possibility of date redundancies mucking up the servers.

Some contacts can be found by search but don't show in list view

A few of my contacts (some of them are favorites) don't show up in the list view in my address book just by looking alphabetically. I can search for them using spotlight or the search field at the top of the list and there they are. Why is that? Is it a bug?

Nah. None of those that I looked through on the first 8 pages or so BUT I checked Address Book on my computer and I have the same quantity of contacts listed on my computer as on the phone under "all groups." So, I went hunting around for the missing contacts and, although the last name starts with "Sw," they were listed at the top of all the "S" contacts. Why? Beats me. Makes NO sense at all. They are listed in proper order on my computer. They are marked as "favorite" contacts, but so are some of my other contacts and this behavior doesn't happen with those.

When people activate connection keys, they don't show up in the Admin users list. Why?

I send people their key by e-mail. In most cases, when they click on it and it loads Contribute and they plug in the password, it will show up in the Admin listing of users. Other times, the same process is followed but they don't show up on any user list. What can I do to get them listed?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

You can't currently permanently delete purchases, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding purchases

I think you answered your own question. As your friends phones are not iPhones, but maybe Nokia or Android the smiley will appear as a different character or box. Thew only way to fix this would be to send a basic smile using the basic keyboard so that your friends will receive it as a smile and you will when they reply. Or ask your friends to check if the phones they are using have the emoji type keyboard available and ask them to update their phones. This will show the smiley when they reply to you.

Aritist don't show up in list

When I go to music, then artists on my 2nd generation iPod touch there are several artists that don't show up on the list. However when I turn it they appear in the album cover menu, and they also come up in search results. Is this a common error? Can it be fixed?

Have you verified that these tracks are not marked as "part of a compilation" in iTunes? If not, locate the missing tracks in iTunes, right->click on them and choose "Get Info" from the shortcut menu. When the window pops up, head over to the Info tab and make sure there is No tick mark next to "part of a compilation." Then sync the updated changes to your iPod and see if that helps.

Why is it that some missed calls don't show up in the Missed Calls list?

Missed calls can only appear in your missed call list if your phone knows about them. In other words, if the phone rang, but you did not answer.
If a call was missed because your phone was turned off or not in a strong enough service area to receive the call, then it will not show up on your phone.

Message Area don't show the 'Show List' anymore??

Guys, is it possible that the message area change in SP14 or SP15.
I was testing and example in the SAP-PRESS book, Web Dynpro for ABAP. Before, we had 3 options to display messages in the WD application, now it's 2.
In the message area (at runtime), on the right side, previously it was saying 1 Message with a button Show List, when you click on the show list button you see all messages in a web dynpro table. Now all these standard options seems to have disappers?? I just see my message and the rest of the message area is blank.
The look and feel was better I think with the show list button ... am I missing something??

Some contact e-mails don't show up in groups

Yosemite 10.10.2 OS. Contacts v 9. Macbook Air. I just finished dragging some contacts into a group to use for sending group e-mails. When I go to edit distribution list so I can select which e-mail address from each contact I want to set as default, there are a few contacts who are missing some or all of their addresses. I have checked the contacts email addresses and they are all properly formated [email protected], but for some reason they are not on the list. For contacts with no e-mails showing in the distribution list, they not only do not allow me to select a default e-mail, but those contacts don't show up in the e-mail at all

Never mind. Just found the place to change this under settings. What's weird is the setting got changed on its own somehow but weirder things have certainly happened...
