Showing list of users locked in message

Hi Experts,
I have a substitute table where in all the users and substitutes are stored .
when adding or change new substitue in table it should thorugh the list of users locked in table.
Currently it loops the table and displays for the first user whooever is locked. I need to display the list for users in error message any idea would be great , or any alternative idea will be helpful.

Whenever it finds first locks record and throws error then store that error in another internal table instead of displaying it, it will keep collecting the locked records.. After the loop, you have list of all locked records.

ps aux | awk '{ print $1; }' | sort | uniq
will give you a nice sorted list, easy to read.

Field Exit - How do I show list for user to select?

Hi,
I am writing a field exit for Group Asset on TCode AS01. The field exit will check a custom table to give the user an option to select values from a dropdown list.
Any suggestions on how to do this? I understand how to force a value in the field by putting it in OUTPUT, but not sure how to allow the user to select from a list?

I'm not sure how to attach a search help to it because it is a field on a standard SAP screen that already has a search help.
This is probably not going to be very clean, but let me give more details as to what I'm trying to accomplish.
There is a field "Group Asset" that is on t-codes AS01, AS01, AS11. There is already a search help provided by SAP. The functional person wants me to create a field-exit to check a custom table based on Company Code, Cost Center, and Asset Class importing PIDs. If there is only one group asset that fits the criteria, then I will just place it in the field. If there are multiple group assets, then the user has to select which one and place it in the field.
I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!

Message Area don't show the 'Show List' anymore??

Guys, is it possible that the message area change in SP14 or SP15.
I was testing and example in the SAP-PRESS book, Web Dynpro for ABAP. Before, we had 3 options to display messages in the WD application, now it's 2.
In the message area (at runtime), on the right side, previously it was saying 1 Message with a button Show List, when you click on the show list button you see all messages in a web dynpro table. Now all these standard options seems to have disappers?? I just see my message and the rest of the message area is blank.
The look and feel was better I think with the show list button ... am I missing something??

i was looking for the 'old style' to display messages in webdynpro (with the 'Show List'). here i found the code snipped to do this. i did implement the code in the wddoinit of the window.

List of user who is going to get locked - OEM

Hi,
There there any way in OEM(Enterprise Manager Grid Control) to get the list of user who are going to get expired/locked in 5-6 days.
Can we set up such alert in OEM.

Does it say I read someones message if it just shows up in my lock screen?

I turned my read receipt on and im wondering if when it first shows up in my lock screen, if it tells them i read it? Also if I pull down my notification tab and see the message on it, does it say that I read it also?

I think the padlock has to do with screen rotation http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3805
Try toggle between the two settings and see if the lock reappears. If not then reboot the phone
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).

How can I immediately show all messages of my message mgr, instead of only the first message? Now, I always have to click 'show list' to view them.
I use the general MESSAGE_AREA UI element.

Hi Hans,
If you got to the application, and under the properties tab you would find some radio buttons as :
1: Show message component on demand.
2: Always display the message component.
3: Display the messages without the message component.
The 3rd option is not availaile in newer systems. But yes if you are using ECC6.0 then it is the option that displays all the error messages and also in the message area, which would be the answer of your question.

Made a bad change to login options under user preferences, changed from "List of users" to "Name and password". I shut the computer down, now I can't login in when I turn the computer back on. What can I do to fix this problem?

Have Migrated data from IMAC to Macbook twice. Because I had too many admin ids under user and accounts preferences, I was trying not to delete the extras but that they wouldn't all show at login time. Under Login Options, I clicked out "List of Users" and clicked in "Name and password". Can't remember whether I did anything else. I shut down the computer and turned it back on to test the change. I get a dark grey screen with all my admin ids in circled pictures plus one for guest, but doesn't let me do anything with any of the admin ids. I clicked on any one and nothing happens. IF i click on the guest circle, it gives me a message that the computer will restart with only Safari allowed.
Since I haven't been able to connect my macbook to my IMac so I can login to the macbook through the Imac, I can't get to my macbook. There must be a way to fix this problem. I expected to see places to enter name and password but nothing is allowed to enter. Please help!

First thing I would do would be to boot in to Lion Recovery (Command+R on boot) and run Disk Utility, both disk and permissions repair.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
3. Other issues
If you see a lock screen when trying to boot from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information.

Creation of variant to paas on list of users using a table

Hello All,
I got a requirement to create a report in FI-GL with the requirement for selection and layout as follows and how to incorporate the same in the
List of Users (through variant) and Doc. Type (user input) :
To exclude transactions, which are not manual journal entries, a table should be created with exclusions.
*This table will contain two types of exclusions:*
Document types which will never been used for manual journal entries, since their nature is system related (SAP R/3 standard). In principle, this table will be fixed
List of Users
which are not related to persons, but to automatic transactions. This table needs to be verified and updated on regular basis.
Could any one suggest me how to do a vaiant for the user through a table and that too this table should ba updated on regular basis.

Don't use IN. Use some other way to query the table, some way that will return usable results no matter what (if anything) is in the table, like this:

WF-BTACH user locked in the Producation

Hi Experts,
In producation, wf-batch user locked due to some reasons for two days. Now we unlocked the user and all workflow's are working fine.
But the problem is, there are some 200 workflow's are triggered on the same two days. Most of those workflow's are hanged. All the background tasks in workflow's are having the status as 'Ready'.
We are not able fix this using transaction SWPR - continue workflow after error and SWPC. Because those are workflow's are listed in the above transaction.
Is there any way to restart those workflow's? there is no error in the workflow. Its just hanging in the middle.
Kindly help me on this.

Hello Nandini !
You have stated that background tasks are in "READY" state.Check in the workflow log whether all the parameters are populated properly for those background tasks.If not, check any exceptions are thrown.The exception message should state why the background task is not in "COMPLETED" status.
Ensure why container values are not populated for those background tasks and enter the appropriate values to those containers in workflow log and execute the workflow from SWPR.

Attribute Change run failed due to the User Lock

attribute change run has failed due to the user lock.
can any one tell me how to process and what is the main cause behind on this.

if master data is loading at same time while the attr/hier change run is occuring,it cause the change run to fail.
Usually u get error message like..user ALEREMOTE has locked the MD tables..
Wait for some time and then try attr change run manually by going to rsa1->tools->apply hier/attr change..
if it still shows locked..try to see in rsmo if a MD load has got stuck..
else..see in sm12 to find lock is on which tables..
last resort..delete lock forcefully from sm12..
first option is wait for some time and give a try again..
