W530: Sub-par features to the actual components used?

http://www.lenovo.com/products/us/laptop/thinkpad/w-series/w530/# doesn't have the full tech spec yet.
And since we seem to be running into spec ambiguity with the 1-year old W520 about official supportability/compatibility with 3rd party parts, I'm thinking this will be a PERFECT time to ask Lenovo...please BE PRECISE with the tech spec.
This, probably can't be merged into other W530 threads (since it's not about keyboard, impressions, wishes).
(e.g. Hope it'll support 1600Mhz memory modules).
Will the system be able to run at full speed when only running on battery, rather than capped at a certain speed?

My understanding is that an "array" means more than one. So dual array should mean two of [more than one]. Or should I read this as a single array of dual microphones?

Also, I noticed that terms like "reliable", "dependable", "stability" are not listed anymore. Is SSS issue from the W520 too much to handle?
Not trolling here. But what I'm after is, what exactly can one expect and is officially supported from Lenovo?

Quadro K1000 and K2000 are just codenames. The real-names are Quadro 2100M and Quadro 1100M. Lenovo changed that on his side. A few days ago they lists the Quadro 2100M and 1100M.

Hi,
I was getting exactly same error. I have resolved it by putting the
<target name="enterPassword" >
        <input message="Please enter Weblogic password:" addproperty="passwd">
            <handler classname="org.apache.tools.ant.input.SecureInputHandler" />
        </input>
in my build.xml
It means that it was not able to read password properly in bin/ant-sca-mgmt.xml
Password was the issue in my case. it is working now.

Errors Installing Portal Components using 9iAS Enterprise on 8.1.7 SE

We are getting an error installing the Portal Components using
9iAS Enterprise on a 8.1.7 SE database. The log indicates that
the error is:
ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Function-based indexes
Errors encountered in the Install process. Installation Aborted.
While I know that Function-based indexes are not supported in SE
this should not prevent the installation of Portal.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

The name of the program you gave is irrelevant, as it's a dynamic name given to any report built with Report Writer techniques. Which report in KSBB shows different figures from KSB1?

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Sounds like you've already installed iTunes 11 and are now trying to downgrade. To do so successfully you will also need access to a pre-upgrade copy of your library as set out below...
The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 you can enable artwork in the Songs & List views from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view.
If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.

Actual Values for the Cost Components in COPA - TC - KE4R

Hi,
In TC: KE4R, we are maintaining the value field for each Cost Components from the Cost Components Structure.
And the Point of Valuation is 01.
My understanding is that, when we use this value fields in the COPA report, it will show the value of the standard cost estimate from the cost component structure and not the actual cost that has incurred during the transaction.
Am I correct? If not please correct me.
If yes, then How can I get the actual cost for these cost component structure in the value fields.
Please help.

we have a requirement that we need details about what makes cost of sales numbers in COPA.
i know the our VPRS value is flowing into COPA as COGS but now we want that we should have ite detailed breakdown as per cost components.
can you please tell me detailed configuration steps to make this happen so that we can create a new COPA ke30 report which gives us the breakdown of the COGS numbers.
one more requirement is that for purchase parts our client is maintaing price PB00 condition and some other conditions like brokerage, freight etc in the info record for those materials and they want that all these conditions value should add up to show the COGS value for these purchase parts in the COPA report.. how do we do that?

It happens sometimes. Delete the current copies, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
While downloading click the download icon at the top right and uncheck Enable simultaneous downloads. You may find it more reliable that way.

How do I change the actual icon of a sub VI?

This is most likely an easy question...
After I create a Sub VI, I'd like to customize the icon that appears, instead of using the defauly "2" or "3" icon, depending on which Sub VI I created. Can you use a small image file? Where is the option to modify the appearance?

In the chapter "Creating an Icon" of the LV help you can find the following:
Right-click the icon in the upper right corner of the front panel or block diagram and select Edit Icon from the shortcut menu to display the Icon Editor dialog box. You also can display the Icon Editor dialog box by selecting File»VI Properties, selecting General from the Category pull-down menu, and clicking the Edit Icon button.
To create or edit a custom control or indicator icon, right-click the icon in the upper right corner of the Control window and select Edit Icon from the shortcut menu to display the Icon Editor dialog box.
Click the 16 Colors or 256 Colors box to select which icon you want to create.
For VI icons, place a checkmark in the Show Terminals checkbox to show an outline of the connector pane on the editing area. The connector pane is only a guide. It does not appear in the final icon.
Use the tools on the left side of the Icon Editor dialog box to create the icon design in the editing area. The normal size image of the icon appears in the appropriate box to the right of the editing area.
Before coming to the forums with such questions, it may advance your knowledge, if you search the LV help first. You'll always find things you did not know before.

Accidentally deleted iTunes, is there anyway I can download it again and have it just back up my iPod instead of clearing it of all data? All of iTunes files are still on my computer, but the actual program got deleted.

I was trying to clear space on my C drive and decided to delete programs that I didn't use or that I didn't recognize. (Bad idea, I know that now.) Anyways, accidentally deleted a program that iTunes needed to run and the computer said it would undo the uninstall and restart to fix the problem but when it restarted iTunes was gone. So my question is, after I download iTunes again, is there a way I can just backup my iPod to it's last sync (which was coincidentally right before I accidentally deleted iTunes) instead it being cleared of all its data? All of iTunes' files are still on my computer except the actual program itself.

Thanks for the question. I see you have uninstalled iTunes and want this program back. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes if present and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes. If none of your data was modified in the iTunes media folder, then your data should be present upon installation.

Open in Photoshop CS5 errors with "Some of the application Components are Missing...

After doing a migration from one mac to another mac with the Migration Assistant, when I try to edit a lightroom file with the Open In CS5 I get a dialog that comes up "Some of the application Components are Missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application.
Well I have reinstalled photoshop, actually uninstalled it first, the reinstalled twice...once with "keep preferences" and once without. I have also run the Adobe Upgrader and everything is up to date. Lightroom is up to date.
Any ideas??

Since you can open a photo in CS5 when selecting <Open anyway>, I would also think that this is a problem of Lr.
When you select <Render using Lightroom> Lr creates the PSD (or TIFF) and sends it to CS5.
So it seems that this part of Lr that is creating a PSD (or TIFF) from your Raw image is missing / broken.
Most probably something got left behind when you used the Migration Assistant.
I would suggest this: Download from Adobe's website the trial version of Lr 4.3. The trial version is a full version with all features enabled, but it runs only for 30 days.
Each time you open the trial version you get the option <I want to buy>. Select this option and enter your serial number. This will unlock the trial version for unlimited use.
Maybe it would be good to un-install your current Lr before re-installing the downloaded file to ensure that you do a "clean" re-installation.

Navigable Pop-Up Folder Feature in the Dock Removed in Leopard!

The way dock icons worked in Tiger with a menu-list like hierarchy is no longer a feature of Leopard! Yes, navigable pop-up folders in the Dock are gone— you can no longer click-and-hold on a docked folder to pop up a navigable menu showing that folders contents, including navigable sub-folders.

And as long as it's not sticky, I'll reply here to bump it up, since that "feature" was the reason I'm now back on 10.4.10.
Yes, it's that bad. I could probably find a workaround like a 3rd party app launcher (instead of my Start-menu-like folder with subfolders and aliases to apps), but the "feature" itself (stacking the content on top of the folder icon) is so incredibly idiotic, you have to ask yourself what drugs they had to take to let this abomination go GM. Yes, indeed, it must be drugs. There's no other explanation.
It doesn't even look pretty! There were changes and additions since Jaguar where you were wondering what actual use that could have, but at least you could always say, ok, it looks nice and flashy and could impress possible switchers, but that one is only confusing and totally useless.
So please:
1) Bring back the previous behavior of showing a hierarchical view of the folder by right click/click-and-hold
2) add some feedback to the new stack views, like some mouseover effect so that you know that you can click now
3) add folder browsing to the new views as well, like another "bow of icons" (must be that lame pun on "row" that inspired that weird fan view) popping up to the left or right of the "root fan" or something, and in that grid view, just open another grid with the subfolder contents on top. Call it stacking the grids.
See? I just pulled those ideas out of you-know-where, and I'm sure they would work fine. Apple was working 2.5 years on this and it feels like some early prototype. Apple's leadership regarding UIs is clearly gone, at least on the desktop. I'm terribly disappointed they continue to release one UI abomination after another and still feeling great about it.
