[W8.1]Creating a trial app with a feature that expires after being used twice

I want to add a feature to my app that user can avail only twice or thrice in the trial mode. I am unable to figure out which purchase mode should I implement.
I successfully implemented the in-app-purchase for making the feature available for lifetime. But how should I go about limiting its usage if the user has not bought it?
According to the sample code I am following I have these options:
Expiring Product: This allows me to expire the feature after certain period of time but I need to expire the product after number of usage.
InAppPurchase: I can purchase feature through this but I cannot limit the feature in trial mode.
ConsumableInAppPurchase: Again it requires the user to buy the feature first and then it can be consumed.
I figured that if I can save an int in local settings of app the first time app is used and then decrement it until its 0, and then prompt the user to buy, it will do the job. But if I use this method user can always delete the settings file and my app wouldn't
know that it is not being used the first time.
Can anybody tell me how I can achieve my requirement?

You cannot achieve this with the built-in trial mode. It is based entirely on the time limit you choose when publishing the app. After the time limit is up, the app will stop functioning.
To do what you want to do, you will have to write your own code. One of my apps, a word processor for example, lets the user use the app with full features for 7 days. After 7 days, instead of stop opening, it simply goes into read-only
mode until the user buys it. The advantage of doing it this way instead of making the app non-functioning forever after 7 days is the user will always have the opportunity to see what's new in my future updates. I don't want to lose potential customers!
Nothing the user can do to reset the 7 days trial. They can uninstall and reinstall as many times as they want. They can delete the settings file all they want. My method doesn't require the app to check over the internet. I'm
sure if you think hard enough you will figure out a way like I did. I'm just letting you know that there is a way and it is possible. I just don't want this method to be known too widely.
Are you saying your method is different from the 'Expiring Product' option I mentioned? To me it sounds the
same as that

I get the Adoble ID for signing in, which is the valid email that I then use to sign in to folio builder and producer
such as [email protected], but for the Apple in-app purchasing they use a reverse domain structure one for the length the subscription will last, (in my case 1 year) so I use info.aq2.publication.annual and then the 2nd non-consumable I create a product ID for each publication ie info.aq2.publication.winter11. These later 2 reverse domains are what I've put in the viewer builder.
So what I'm not understanding yet is how I link an individual Apple ID to a folio in Folio producer
so sign in to folio producer, with [email protected]
do I use the Apple ID (reverse domain structure) in the folio name?
In Folio producer I will have all of my quarterly folio's
will it be
Folio Name                              Publication Name          Folio Number          Etc

Is there a way to create a custom screensaver with pics/slides that display for different amounts of time? Or even add a "video slide" into the screensaver?
My business has 3 TVs displayed in our lobby, each with its own apple TV and they are all linked to the same photo stream. Currently the Atv screensaver displays the photostream pictures of our products for the default 3 seconds. We just added pics/slides that now display messages and useful info for our customers but I want that info to be displayed for a longer period of time than the pictures to give people a chance to read it.
I tried using flickr and powerpoint as a work around but no luck. I created a slide in powerpoint with play length of 15 secs and saved it as a wmv file. I added that file to a "screensaver" set in flickr and pointed the Atv screensaver to that flickr set. It still displays everything, pics and the wmv file at the default 3 sec.
I know I can increase the duration of all pics in the screensaver to display for longer but the goal is to have the pics display at 3 secs and the info slides to display at 15 secs.

thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.

integrate it into a tuxedo application. I could write a C application
that listens and accepts incoming request from the vendors application,
and then make a tuxedo client call to a service. But this doesn't
allow me to control the listen thread through tuxedo. The C application
would have to be started seperately and would not take advantage
of the tuxedo restart facilities etc of a tuxedo service.

You can make an empty server only with tpsvrinit that starts your client
listeners and a tpsrvdone that stops them. Be carefull with sharing ipcs
between processes, or your clients may get puzzled!!!
Another choice can be builting a custom WSL/WSH but I haven't done
this yet and I don't know exactly the troubles related with making them.

IMO opendns is either doing this on purpose (unlikely) or they're under some sort of attack/being used to attack the specific torrent sites although I'm open to other explanations. I believe using the automatic setting for DNS is using my own ISP's DNS servers (which again, work fine... but still...)
I'd rather not use Google's public DNS servers as Google is to commercial these days and I think there's potential privacy issues.

I want to create a digital magazine for iPad. I know with Digital Publishing Suite I can create apps for iPad.
But there is a problem. Is not clear in the website if with the Single Edition I can create an app that contains all issues of the magazine, or if I have to create a new app for each issue of the magazine that I want to publish.

Create and activate app with separate Adobe ID

Before Adobe offered unlimited Single Editions in my Creative Cloud subscription I created a separate Adobe ID for every single app I was creating. I shared the login/password with my clients so they could track progression and finally approve the app. In the end I purchased a Single Edition licence and activated the app to submit to the App Store. Everything within one Adobe ID.
Now it seems I can only activate an app (with a built-in serial number) when I've created the folio with my personal (paid) Adobe ID?
Any suggestions for a nice workflow? Ofcourse I don't want to share my personal Adobe ID, but I do want to share the folios I'm creating. If possible I don't want my clients need to sign up for an Adobe ID themselve.

I'm not sure I understand why you did that. There was nothing to keep you from creating everything with one ID and then creating the Single Edition apps with the same one. From there, just supply the distribution and developer apps to the client for submission to Apple using their developer accounts.
They would need Adobe IDs in order to share folios via the ACV but nothing else, really.

Creating an iOS App with File Sharing Activated

From what I can decipher, the only way for a user to retrieve a document created by an iOS app is through iTunes, but only if the app has file sharing activated.
Is there a way to create an iOS app in Flash CS5.5 and make it a file sharing app?

I used the following code for sharing files to documents directory, and it works just fine. I am able to access the files copied by the app.
I made this app using Flash Builder. I will share another one using Flash Pro, soon.

server at first (poor planning on my part) now I'll need one. I

OK, so I think what you're saying is that you have developed
locally, which is good, and are using java objects as your back end
solution - I'll just state that Java is the *only* method of data
transfer that I haven't used (I use ColdFusion, XML, WEb Services
mostly), so at some stage I may not be able to help you.
Still, lets see how far we get. So, you can deploy your SWF
file to any web server, and browse to it with your browser. The
output in the /bin directory will include the SWF (usually the name
of the project) and a html wrapper file.
Is the Flex app actually rendering (i.e., your containers)
before you get the error? (I'm trying to determine if the problem
is the data transfer or the flex app proper)??

Does anybody know if there is a way to build an app with flash CS5.5 that can run in older iPods?, just like with CS5?
Each IPA I build with CS5.5 cannot be installed in my iPod 8GB with iOS 4.2 and before with CS5 I could install all the IPAs there and test.
The lack of support to iPod 8GB would be limitating for the market and sales...
Is there some setting to build IPA to older iPods?

AIR 2.7 release notes:
AIR runs on "iPodTouch 4th generation iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4iPad".
But:
AIR 2.7 runs on iPod Touch 3rd Generation, too - but only on the 32GB and 64GB models. The 8GB model is in fact only an older 2nd gen iPod Touch.
We tested this and we even have some apps in the app store running on the iPod Touch 3rd gen.

Before the use of unicode the XML-file was of the format: ISO-8859-1.
After the introducting of unicode the format is UTF-16.
In the abap-program we are using:

Is it prossible to create the XML-file with the format ISO-8859-1 after the unicode, please can you explane how to solve this problem.

Possibility to create full responsive websites with new features

Hi guys!
I think that Muse would be incredible and very professional if the develop team include the possibility to create full responsive websites, with no more problem even in the height of a site, expecially if you wanna create an horizontal scroll website.
Another great fature is the Bootstrap 3, that could be used in some layout and templates... Add more widget, like in a CMS and obviously it would be great if you can use very full-responsive icons.
What do you think about it, guys?

Fully responsive would be great.
I love the new updates from Muse, especially the library, state buttons, and ability to create mega menus.... However, I've been building more of my websites with Wordpress due to the lack of Responsive design. If Muse adds that capability, along with at least basic additions to the CMS (clients being able to add hyperlinks, link documents, modify H1,2,p text, etc), I'm likelly to go all in.
