WAD creating template from 0QUERY_TEMPLATE

Hi, has anyone got any "how to"
for creating Web Templates modifying (a copy of) 0QUERY_TEMPLATE ?
Thank you,
Cristina

Hi,
In between the object tag if you find HIDDEN="X", then that object is marked as hidden it will not show.
Remove the X indicator and leave blank" " then it will be shown.
Actually in the standard template, they made hidden intentionally because when you use the navigation block at the top of the template and click the respective item then it will show the Hidden object.
For example: to show Info about the query.
The code in the Navigation block for the icon Info is
<!-- Display Infos
<td class="SAPBEXNavLine"><A  href="<SAP_BW_URL ITEM='GR' MULTI='X' HIDDEN='X' CMD_1='ITEM=GR3&MULTI=X&HIDDEN='>"><IMG alt="<SAP_BW_TEXT program="SAPLRRSV" key="T70">" src="Mime/BEx/Icons/S_B_TXDP.gif"; border=0></a></td>  --->
and the code for the TEXT Item with in the object tag is
<!-- Common text symbols: GR3TECommon, initially hidden--->
<object>
         <param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
         <param name="CMD" value="GET_ITEM"/>
         <param name="NAME" value="GR3TECommon"/>
         <param name="ITEM_CLASS" value="CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEXT_ELEMENTS"/>
         <param name="DATA_PROVIDER" value="DP"/>
         <param name="HIDDEN" value="X"/>
        <:
          ITEM:            GR3TECommon
</object>
Observe the HIDDEN in the both the code, in the Navigation block info button the HIDDEN =<blank>
and in the TEXT Item code HIDDEN="X", This means Initially  TEXT of the report is not shown and when you press on the Info button it will be set to HIDDEN=<BLANK> during the runtime of the query and the info is shown.
Hope you got the idea.
Regards,
Vishwa

  • Creating template from assembly with whitespace in image name doesn't work

Does there exist a Bug Tracker?
    Given is the following:
A test .ova describing a simple VM.
    1. this .ova is imported as assembly and successfully unpacked.
    2. we have unpacked following files:
    - "test vm-disk1.vmdk" (notice the whitespace in filename!)
    - "test vm.ovf"
    3. assembly is shown in web gui
    4. create template from this assembly
    5. webgui shows progress but the process will never stop. vbox-img is using 100% cpu time, and no .img in VirtualDisk directory is created.
    Workaround:
Avoid whitespace in .vmdk filenames and reference them correctly in .ovf.
This is OVM 3.0.3 with latest patches.

  • Error while creating template from win 8.1 VM

    hello Experts,
    I have a SCVMM 2012 R2 with Hyper-V host on Windows server 2008 R2 sp1 .
Next I have create a Windows 8.1 VM on Hyper-v Host machine then created a clone of this VM. It created successfully, but when i i tried to create   a template from any of these windows 8.1 VM and its Clone VM. it have got failed with error as below:
    Error (2916)
VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent host1.aaa.com was lost.
WinRM: URL: [http://host.aaa.com:5985], Verb: [ENUMERATE], Resource: [http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/microsoft/bits/BitsCompactServerUrlGroup], Filter: [select * from BitsCompactServerUrlGroup where UrlGroup="none"]
    Unknown error (0x80338126)
    Recommended Action
Ensure that the Windows Remote Management (WinRM) service and the VMM agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP/HTTPS traffic. Ensure that VMM server is able to communicate with host.aaa.com over WinRM by successfully running
    the following command:
     winrm id –r:host.aaa.com
This problem can also be caused by a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service crash. If the server is running Windows Server 2008 R2, ensure that KB 982293 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982293) is installed on it.
If the error persists, restart thost.aaa.com and then try the operation again. /nRefer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 for more details.
I have removed the hyper-v then re-added host on scvmm ,Ensured that Windows Remote Management service is running.
I don't have idea exact reason for this....is there is compatibility issue win 8.1 ?

    Hello Srinivasa,
The WWI folder in program files of C drive has definitely been played with. Try installing SAP GUI again on your machine.
Also, please check for WWI installation as follows
1.If you have done local installation, please try installing again by following steps mentioned below:
    Open any Word document .docx
    click on "office button"
    click on "word options"
    click on "advanced"
    click on "file locations"
    select "user templates"
    click on "modify"
look in " C> program files>SAP> front end> SAP Gui-->wwi". click on "Ok"
2.If you have MS word 2003, go to tools> options>advanced..Then follow the above steps.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Regards

  • Creating template from template / editable regions

    Hello all,
I'm hoping you can help me.
I am creating an online clothing shop website and am having trouble with creating category pages.
I have created the template with all headers, logos, footer, a spry menu etc.
I have then from the template (via new - Page from template etc) pages for mens / womens / shoes
    This part is all fine.
However each of these pages ie. the 'mens' will have pages per category created from it for mens shirts, mens top etc.
For example I need a list of each category on the mens page that I dont want to appear on any other pages, just all of the mens category pages (tops, shorts etc) and this will also be done for the womens pages.
I saved the 'mens' page as a template but due to the section that the category list being in an 'editable region' when I have created new pages from the 'mens' template the changes wont filter through to each category page.
How can I insert a category list into the 'mens' template that will reflect the changes I make in the category pages? As I don't want to manually update each individual category page.
I hope this makes sense and someone can help me out
    Thanks

What is your skill level with HTML and CSS?
I saved the 'mens' page as a template but due to the section that the category list being in an 'editable region' when I have created new pages from the 'mens' template the changes wont filter through to each category page.
This is not a good start. You do not want to begin using nested templates for anything.
One simple way (although not the optimal way) to do what you want to do is to make the place on the page where you want the lists to appear into an editable region in the template.  Then create a variety of Library items (in DW) each of which contains only the list for each of your categories.  On the appropriate child pages, insert the associated list into the editable region. So, for example, the men's page will have the men's list, etc.
A Library item is like a mini-template in that changes made to any given Library item are automatically propagated to all instances where that Library item is being used.
Is that what you are after?

  • Deleting templates from Pages.

I want to delete self created templates from Pages.
I go to Application Support/iWorks'09 but all that is there are 'content' and 'frameworks' folders.
I am running on Lion 10.7.2.
    Please can someone assist me.
    Thanks

For some reason the Apple has hidden the Library you need to go to.
The way to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.
Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates.

  • Template from another template?

I am building a website and I want to use template which will include navigation bar. When I change navigation bar in template, will it automatically change navigation bar throughout my site?
Also, can I create templates from original template and will that template (and all pages linked to that template) be updated when I make changes to original template.
I hope that this makes sense to you. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yes, that's the main purpose of using templates  :-)
You create areas in the template that will be the same across all the pages created from this template .
You create the navbar in  the template and if you ever need to make any changes to the navbar, save the dwt file, all child pages created from this template will be updated with the changes.  You then need to upload all the changed pages to your server.
Also, can I create templates from original template and will that template (and all pages linked to that template) be updated when I make changes to original template.
I think you may be asking about 'nested templates'
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WScbb6b82af5544594822510a94ae8d65-7aa0a .html
However, it is generally recommended that they not be used.
You could look at a combination of using templates and or serverside includes (SSI).
With templates, you have to upload every page that was changed when you make changes to the template file, but with serverside includes you only need to upload the one file and all pages that have the SSI will update.

  • How do i create a database template from the command line?

    Hi,
As part of implementing a backup and recovery strategy for a client (including disaster recovery) I want to automate the creation of a database template From an Existing Database (Structure as well as data) via a script that will run every night.
The background to this is that we will also be using RMAN to take backups of the database concerned but the client does not want to wait while an RMAN backup is restored and so wants an additional level of insurance in the form of a ‘standby’ clone database.
The idea is that nightly we will run a script that creates a database template from the Existing Database (Structure as well as data) and then transfers the 2 files involved e.g. DB_data_included.dbc and DB_data_included.DFB across to a standby server where they can be used to recreate the database in the event of us needing to after e.g. a complete server failure.
So I have a couple of questions about this that I would be very grateful if something could answer for me:
    1)     Is it possible? That is, can a database template be created from some utility by supplying a series of parameter=value pairs on the command line?
    2)     If yes how do I go about it, what utility do I use (the emca utility?). and what parameters do I need to supply on the command line to create the template?
    3)     The intention is that the script to create the template will run in the early hours of the morning when no-one is using the database but what state does the database need to be in when the template creation script runs i.e. up, down, mounted and does the creation of a template affect the state of an already up database i.e. if I kick off the template creation script and the database is up will it switch it into mount mode or anything like that? My concern here is that I want to make sure I understand exactly what is going on so that no users or connected external systems are affected?
Thanks in anticipation of someone being able to guide me on what to do or what documentation to read.
Also if you require any clarification on what i'm asking please post up your query and i'll respond ASAP.
    Kind Regards,

    Sybrandb,
    Firstly thanks for you reponse.
However, I don’t agree that dbca only creates empty databases otherwise why does the option to create a template from an existing database (structure as well as data) exist in the dbca wizard?
I have performed a test case where I have a created a database template including data on one 10g server. I have then used the files generated to recreate that database on a separate server. When the new database is started it is an exact copy of the original. So it’s not empty at all , it’s exactly what the client wants.
So I don’t agree that I’m gaining zero.
Why is this approach doomed to fail?
There a number of reasons why I “just set up a proper standby database”
    1.     Time – I’m on a customer site in a tight engagement where the customer wants maximum value for money. I don’t have standby database skills and the customer isn’t willing to pay for me to learn on the job so please understand the tight circumstances I’m working in.
    2.     Availability – As far as I know the client is running 10.2.0.3.0 standard edition. Correct me if I’m wrong but is standby db available in that edition. Where do I look to check V$OPTION.
On the RMAN duplicating a database front it’s an area I haven’t used before but I will take a look at it.
Also please revisit the context of my original posting where I state
The background to this is that we will also be using RMAN to take backups of the database concerned but the client does not want to wait while an RMAN backup is restored and so wants an additional level of insurance in the form of a ‘standby’ clone database.
So please understand that this a quick fix that the client wants developed in the minimum time possible in ADDITION to a full nightly RMAN backup being taken.
In an ideal world I’d have the time to follow best practice but in the real world of on-site customer support I just need to get the job done operating under the customer imposed constraints.
    Many Thanks,
    George Johnston

  • Can't create VM from template on iSCSI

    Hello,
I'm trying to create new VM from original Oracle template "OVM_EL5U3_X86_64_PVM_4GB" on iSCSI device without a success.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) /OVS is mounted as iSCSI block device
    2) Original Oracle template is copied into /OVS/seed_pool/OVM_EL5U3_X86_64_PVM_4GB
    3) Oracle VM Manager - Import template (no problem)
    4) Oracle VM Manager - Create VM from template
Result: Files are copied into running_pool, vm.cfg is updated, new VM is visible in VM Manager but with this message:
failed: <Exception: Error updating the image.> StackTrace: File "/opt/ovs-agent-2.2/OVSSiteVM.py", line 471, in config_vm raise Exception("Error updating the image.")
    5) Oracle VM Manager - Start new VM
    Result:
    Status in VM is Running
I can connect using VNC console
But the VM is constantly rebooting with these messages on the console:
    Registering block device major 202
    xvda: xvda1 xvda2 xvda3
    xvda: p2 exceeds device capacity
    xvda: p3 exceeds device capacity
    Waiting for driver initialization.
    xvda: rw=0, want=101530648, limit-12707414
attemp to access beyond end of device
switchroot: mount failed: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Looks like there is a problem with partition sizes within the VM image file (xvda: p2 exceeds device capacity)
I've tried to mount iSCSI formated with ocsf2 and ext3 - I'm getting the same error.
However there is no problem when I mount /OVS as NFS or local drive and repeat the steps above.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated,
    Honza

    It's all sorted now.
What I've learnt: OVS/Xen hypervisor doesn't seem to handle 4kB iSCSI block sizes.
I had to change it to 512 bytes (configuration on the iSCSI storage - nothing on the Oracle VM side) and re-create all volumes.
Just in case you experience something similar.

  • Can't create Project from the Template or access project template

    Dear Experts,
We are facing a issue while trying to access the project template/create the project from project template.
we have 4 project template in place and of these two are working perfectly fine but
From remaining two we are not being able to create project and even templates are not accesible , whenever we are trying to access the project template system rotates a circle for some time and keeps us on the same page.
Even when we are trying to create project from the same template, system does the same again rotates the circle for some time and keeps us on the same screen.
And System is not throwing any error for the same (we have checked in the log as well) just not letting us in and not allowing us to create project.
Any Help Will be Highly Appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rakesh Daiya

    Dear Experts,
We were able to find out the issue,
We added 3 groups to the template with "Reviewer" access with "Document Only" Type in the project template.
When we changed the type to "Template and Document" from "Document Only" and  system started allowing us to create projects from the template.
Can anyone please help me with one query,
Can we add a group(which includes all the buyers) with reviewer access and with Document only type?
Does this really be a reason behind projects are not getting created from template?
    Any help will be appreciated

  • Can't create VM from template

    Hello,
I'm getting this error when creating VM from template:
failed: <Exception: Error updating the image.> StackTrace: File "/opt/ovs-agent-2.2/OVSSiteVM.py", line 471, in config_vm raise Exception("Error updating the image.")
The VM is actually created despite this message bot when I try to power it up I'm getting another error:
    failed:<Exception: ['xm', 'list', '478_CITConnect_Internal_TEST']=>Error: Domain '478_CITConnect_Internal_TEST' does not exist. > StackTrace: File "/opt/ovs-agent-2.2/OVSXXenStore.py", line 192, in xen_get_vnc_port vm_id = xen_get_vm_id(vm_path) File "/opt/ovs-agent-2.2/OVSXXenStore.py", line 34, in xen_get_vm_id stdout = run_cmd(args = ["xm", "list", vm_name]) File "/opt/ovs-agent-2.2/OVSCommons.py", line 98, in run_cmd raise Exception('%s=>%s' % (cmdlist, p.childerr.read()))
The template was copied from another VM pool (where it works fine, version 2.1.1) to a newly configured VM Server (2.1.5).
The new server is configured for HA (shared storage) and I was able to create VM from ISO without any problem there.
The template was created from existing VM (Oracle EL4 PV) running on the "old" server.
Any ideas where I should look into?
    Thanks

  • Remove Templates from Create Incident From Template Selection

Originally all users had access to all of the templates created, however now that we have been using SCSM for a while the number of templates created has started to grow and make the Create Incident From Template Screen difficult to navigate.  I am
trying to limit the number of templates each team sees based on security group, however when I uncheck the templates from the Form Templates section of the User Role, they continue to display for all users.  Is there somewhere else I have to go in and
change this that I am missing?

    Hi,
Take a look at this thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/d0b64ab8-ea5a-4426-968e-77675193473f/hiding-templates-from-console-users-while-still-effectively-using-the-end-user-role?forum=administration
(By default the End User role has access to all templates, and the members of that role is Authenticated Users)

  • Workflow - create document from template

    Hi,
Could anyone tell me what could be the possible use of Create Document from Template step in workflow...

    Hi vijay,
1)Open the PC application by choosing the entry Double-click to create in the Document templates tray by double-clicking or choose  in the step definition of the document generation.
The PC application that you last used to create a template is opened in the Workflow Builder. The system fields and the container elements of the workflow container are offered for selection in the navigation area. They can be transferred into the template by double-clicking.
You cannot use any multiline container elements in your template.
All relationships created between container elements/system fields and the document template are displayed in the object area.
It is not possible to insert system fields and container elements into all types of document template.
    2) If you want to create a document template of a different class, select  Change document class and choose the new type of document template.
    3) Select  to assign a name for the document template.
    4) Create the document template in the usual way in your PC application. You can use all the functions of the PC application.
    5) Insert container elements and/or system fields from the object area into your template by double-clicking. These fields are replaced with the content of the container elements/system fields at runtime.
    6) Select  to save your document template.
    Hope this helps u,
    Regards,
    Nagarajan.
