Want a blob to show up in a BI Publisher report

I have spent the entire day looking through here for help. What I've found is a function (blob2clobase64 (p_blob IN BLOB) ) which I did create in APEX (4.0, 11g) no problem. But of course, I have no idea what to do with it after creating it...I can't call this function from BI, it gives an error that "string is not select" and running it in Apex doesn't do anything, unless I"m supposed to save the output to another column and use that in my bi report?
I have the datasource in BI set up to get the data I want, including this blob, and it shows up in the Data View in BI with all the fields having correct values but the BLOB field is just a bunch of text.
I have the rtf set up in BI and all the other fields populate as expected but the BLOB will only come in as a bunch of text characters if I insert the variable name. I tried to use the

and it just comes up blank. I've used content-type = image/gif, =image/jpg and also with the variable holding the mime_type (this shows up in the report with the correct value).
I've tried PHOTO_BLOB_IMG with the .// and without it. I've tried it with the straight <?PHOTO_BLOB_IMG?> (this comes up with long garbly text).
I'm completely lost as to what the problem is - and why can't we just insert a type of picture into an rtf?? Seems needlessly complicated. Anyway, must be that I'm missing some step 'cause everything I've found has said this fo: code is all I need to make the blob display.

I've converted the Blob to a Clob but still can't get it to appear in the BI Report. It shows up in the XML file as a bunch of text character, but in the report if I use the fo: instructions it remains blank, and if I don't, it shows the same text data that is in the XML file.
Perhaps BI Reports aren't meant to show database images? Is there another tool I can use instead (data is in APEX 4.0) 11g.?

You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

Apple TV wants to transfer TV shows to MacBook Pro and I don't want it to

I have purchased a large number TV shows directly on my Apple TV. Every time I launch iTunes it attempts to sync with my Apple TV. The Apple TV programs try to copy over to my itunes but I do not have enough free space on my MacBook Pro to hold all those TV shows. Is there a way to avoid all my Apple TV shows from copying over to my iTunes? Also, if I delete any shows that have copied over to my iTunes, will they then delete on my Apple TV? And lastly, when I turn of TV Show syncing on my iTunes, it says that all TV shows will be deleted on my Apple TV. Do I risk losing all my TV shows on my Apple TV if I just turn off TV show syncing on my iTunes?

Go into Settings, then Computers, find your, click on it and it will ask if you want to remove it. Choose yes. The add it back with only stream option (should be pretty clear how).
Note, anything on the AppleTV will be erased when you remove it as a syncing computer so make sure all you have IS in your main library.
Once set to syncing, then anything you buy via the AppleTV will just stay on the AppleTV but note, you have no backup thus if it fills up you will have to delete or if anything goes wrong and you have to restore the AppleTV you will lose all on it.
Sorry you were unclear that the AppleTV was not meant as a backup storage and that it just was meant to have copies of your main library and that you are responsible for storage and backups. Once you get into wanting to store tv shows and movies, it is almost a given you will need to buy a new HD (most buy external ones) for your computer to have your library on. My 1TB drive is filling up fast now.

I want Preview to always show the thumbnails view!!!!!

When I open a PDF in Preview, it shows the Table of Contents view. I want Preview to always show the thumbnails view! Is there a way to change this to the default setting? (And dont say goto view - thumbnails, that's not a default option)Every time I pick a photo or PDF it starts with the Table of Contents view every time!

This works but only when opening the same document. Other documents just default to the plain view.
Big oversight - particularly when merging lots pdfs and each one has to be manually changed to thumbnail view. All becomes very cumbersome

you can change the date, so that FCPX categorizes it properly. First delete the clip(s) from FCPX, but not from your computer entirely, make sure you have the originals somewhere.
Open a terminal window and use the following command:
touch -t 198711280800.00 <path/filename of clip>
Where the format is: (use leading zeros if necessary for date & time)
first four digits: year
next four: month and day
next four: time of day (in 24 hour format)
next 2: seconds as a decimal (this is optional, if you leave it off you will get 00 seconds)
The above example will change the file date to Nov. 8, 1987 08:00:00 AM
This will change the created, modified and last access dates of the clip/file.
Then reimport the clip(s) and FCPX should categorize it properly.

You can remove the Airplay password from the Settings menu on your AppleTV.

Want imported bookmarks to show without having to go to "from IE". First user does other users don't

When I first downloaded, it asked if I wanted to import existing bookmarks. They all show when I hover over "bookmarks". When I set up another users' account, it requires them to go down to "from internet explorer" to view them. I want them all to show when the other user hover over "bookmarks" like mine does.

You can move them out of the From Internet Explorer folder to another folder.

Do you recognise the id e.g. has anybody else used your iPad and downloaded and/or synced apps from their account onto it ? If so then those apps will be tied to that person's account, and only that account can download any updates to those apps.
Otherwise you can log out of the currently logged in account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and you can then log in with a different account.

i dont want my skype photo showing in my sent emails. Since I upgraded to the latest Skpe 7.7.85.103 my profile picture displays on all sent emails. I do not want this and cant even delete my skype photo.

If you mean in the Album part that skims when you move the cursor over like on this demo page: iPhoto Album, you can't. It's a fixed size and is only intended for a brief idea of what you'll find inside the album.

There is a known issue :
Spreadsheet Output Contains White Fill Color by Default Hiding the Excel Gray Border (Doc ID 453166.1)
Execute the following steps to workaround this issue.
1) Open the report in reports builder
2) Right click on the report in Object Navigator
3) Click on Property Inspector
4) Click in Before Report Value
5) Remove bgcolor="#FFFFF"
6) Save the report and run it to Spreadsheet output

Decimal Places is not showing in Qty field in COPA report

I have made a COPA report using one form that I have made it through TC:KE34.
I have used ABSMG for Sales qty in my report.
What I am observing in report, the qty is not showing the decimal places for exmaple 6.032 MT but it gets round over to 6 MT.
I want the system should show the 3 decimal places for the Sales Qty.
How to do resolve this.

No this is somthing new you mentioned. I havent tried to change the number format after executing the report.
Please let me know how to do that. I am using Object ALV to display the report and I am not getting any option in the menus to change the number format.
Also I noticed one thing, In other output format like drill down report its coming correctly , only in Object ALV output format its showing the rounded values.
Please let me know the path.

If you use the report composer to create your report:
Drag the business partner object into the report view an then make right-click --> display more attributes and than choose the adress fields you want to display

How to show the Dashboard Filter Promts in a BI Publisher report?

Hi,
I have a problem when trying to pass Dashboard Prompt Filters from OBI Analysis to a Publisher Report?
Im working in OBIEE 11g. Where I simply can integrate the BI publisher to show the same result set as shown in the Analysis (Answers) Report.
I have also created dummy tables in my Analysis Report that shows the presentation variables from the prompts and I have also one dummy table that shows a session variable with a String when the DW was updated.
I use these dummy tables to be able to pass the promt values to BI Publisher.
The problem I have is that...
I can see that the Strings I have Prompted in my Analysis Report, but only the default values are shown in my BIP report.
-It works fine with my session variable that I display as a string in a dummy table as well as in the BIP report.
-Is there any other way to show the prompted Filters as information in a BI Publisher report??????

Is there a reason why you don't use the presentation variables directly to filter the BI publisher report?
If you use the presentation variables, then ensure that the presentation variables associated with the prompt exactly matches the BIP report parameter name. In this case, you can create another datamodel with a sql that selects the parameters. for example: select :param1, :param2 from dual. In that case, the xml will include the parameter values and you should be just able to insert the param fields in the template.
