WAP through OAS problems??

I'm trying to build the most basic of wml pages so I can start testing. I'm using OAS. When I use the phone.com emulator to pull the results up I always get the error
HTML or Plain text.
Can't compile this....
I even borrowed yahoo's intro page to test the results. So for example, I get the error listed above if I use the phone.com browser.

This may be a problem with the phone.com browser, but it works fine if I actually go to the yahoo site or other wap enabled sites. Anyone run into this?

Following up on my previous question.
Looking at the DOS window accompanying my phone emulator, I see that
Content-Type: text/html Content follows:
And then my wml output.
End Content-Type: text/html.
It looks like I need to play with the mime types of my OAS settings. I'll experiment with it, but if anyone has any immediate solutions, please let me know.

I am using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 for PO upload based on already created Limit based PR I am facing problem in Service account assignment.
It gives me error "In case of Account assignment, please enter acc. assignmrnt data for item". Although I am supplying account assignment. Please tell me what is the reason of error. Is there any other way to link item with its limit details.
How to pass the required data to the polimits structure. Kindly let me know

Hey everyone,
I hope a moderator or someone who understands this stuff more than i do reads this post. I understand many of us are going through these problems, but since I've been through hours of tech support, driven down to the apple store near me (2 hrs away) 3 times now and talked to numerous "genious bar" employees about this and searched these forums for answers for long enough, i thought id share my problem with anyone who will listen because ive tried everything else.
I bought my iPod (5G 30g video) a week or so ago and before i could even put a song on it, i downloaded the update and it crashed. symptoms include: loss of backlight, the font becomes very small and the color turns to black and white, and then eventually i get the dreaded "www.apple.com/support" screen frozen on my iPod.
the second time i took my broken ipod into the apple store, someone found out my ipod was programmed for a Mac (im on a windows xp PC). he rebooted my ipod and got it to dl music and return its color/backlight when he plugged it into the Mac.
I took it home and did the steps he told me to do in order to reprgm mine to a Windows. But when i try to "Restore" my ipod like he suggested, i get the "Firmware update error" message and the iPod crashes again and loses the backlight/color and ultimately just shuts off.
I FINALLY got some answers my third trip to apple store where someone took my pod back to their windows computer in the back and for sure reprogrammed it to operate with windows. he said my ipod was fine and even put a few songs onto it to test out.
I took it home and actually got it to work. I put a few hundred songs on it and finally got to spend one day with a working ipod. it ruled.
But today I turned on iTunes and was gonna put more music on my pod, and i noticed that suddenly my iPod's name in the iTUnes menu had been changed. I clicked on it to see if all my songs from the previous day were still in it, but they werent. it was all gone. I have no idea why it changed the name of my ipod and erased all the memory. I never attempted to change the name of ipod, it just happened by itself...
I tried to just dl all the music back onto the newly erased pod, but my computer said it couldnt read the (newly named) ipod and to do a "restore"
When i tried to restore..."Firmware update error" and the ipod crashed for the 10th time.
Im speechless at this point and am desperate (as we all are) for answers. If anyone made it through this long post and has any suggestions or answers, please help.
And Apple forum moderators, please take note of this and help because at the moment im extremely dissapointed in the apple support (the guy at the apple store actually denied the fact that windows ppl are having trouble with the new update and said it was only me basically). I heard that apple support was among the best, but Ive spent the better portion of my last week trying to get my brand new ipod to work and so far, no one has any answers.

[Jeveloper + EJB client - EJB on OAS] Problem connecting

I having problems getting a simple client from within JDeveloper 3.0(Code snippet - OAS/EJB Client) talking to a simple EJB on OAS 4.0.8.
I have deployed OK (red flag against status?) but when I run the client using port - 5512(ORB port)I get the message below

Auto PO creation from PR through ME58 problem.

Hi experts.
We are providing facility to our client auto po creation from PR through Me58 transaction code.
I am facing amazing problem is that it is working fine in development client , not working in Quality and Production client , exactly problem is that ME58 u2013 Ordering Assigned Purchase requisition & Process Assignment Create PO , Purchase order cannot be created, PR shift in document overview , it means user want to drag and drop in purchase order then system create PO , this problem I am facing in Quality & Production , but it is working fine in development server there is no need to drag and drop , immediately after Process assignment Create PO , system directly convert PR into PO just only need to check and save PO. I compare everything with development & quality data including material master , source list and everything still I am unable to understand where is the problem , is there any customization settings related to auto po ? pls. suggest any solution to solve this issue.

Config setting.
Settings for Automatic PO creation is:
1. Select the Automatic PO check box/option in Purchasing view of material master
2. Select the Automatic PO option in the purchasing data view of Vendor master
3. Maintain Purchase info record
4. ME56- Assign the vendors to PR's
5. ME58- Create PO via assignment list(PR-> PO)
6. ME57- Assign and process PR's
7. ME59N - Create PO automatically via PR
Above step by step procedure is involved in the Automatic PO creation.

Actually, looking at the code again, your server will not be using your custom configuration.
I'm not sure why you have written the code like that but there is no need to create a DefaultConfigurableCacheFactory instance; Coherence will take care of that. As you have used the default constructor for DefaultConfigurableCacheFactory it will be using a configuration file called coherence-cache-config.xml; is that what your file is called?
All your Server main method needs to do is this...

In contrast to what many people say in this forum, it is possible to have an unsigned applet access a database. You don't even have to manipulate the client's policy-file. The requirement is that the database is located on the same machine as the applet is downloaded from.There are however other things that can break this possibility. One is the database-driver itself.
In the case of Oracle we have tried using different versions of the driver. When using version 8.1.7 or 9.0.1 things work nicely, but when switching to version 9.2 it stops working. There is a question on OTN [1]. Let's see what Oracle has to say about it.

ARD through Hamachi - Problem

Hi,
I am successfully using ARD 3.1 over Hamachi mostly without problems except one big one. While I can access all options from 'office' to 'home', I cannot observe or control from 'home' to 'office'. All firewall ports (3283 & 5900) were opened on the routers, though I realized later this is not necessary when going through Hamachi, and software firewalls are off.
I can send messages and get reports from 'home' to 'office' so I know the password and username are entered correctly. It even shows current application, user and idle times correctly. Through Finder I can connect and access all files back and forth with no problems from either side.
The only difference I can see is the 'home' router is setup through DHCP and runs through a cable connection. The 'office' router is setup with PPPoE because that seems to be the only way to operate it with Verizon DSL.
Any clue what might be the cause?

More information:
I turns out I cannot observe this desktop from any machine, even within my own LAN. So even with all the software firewalls turned off, I still get 'authentication errors' when I try to observe/control. Other functions (reports, messages, etc) do work within the LAN as they also do through Hamachi.
It seems this is not a firewall/internet access issue at all but some kind of bug in ARD? No other VNC clients are running in the background. I have even fully removed then reinstalled ARD on this machine. Could there be a residual file that is causing this?
The only thing I remember doing that I seemed unsure of was updating from 3.0 to 3.1 from 'home' on the 'office' machine. When I reinstalled, it seemed that the files from the 3.1 update were still in the machine. Is there a way to remove those, remove ARD and reinstall both again?

OAS - Problem starting Apache

Hi. I have this problem.
When I start opmn ($ opmnctl startall), the httpd server don't start. I can see httpd process

Adobe EDGE click-through example problems

I was just reading through Jim Babbage's recent Adobe EDGE
article "How to create a click-through mock-up
with Adobe Fireworks CS3" (thanks Jim!) and ran into two
weird problems with the mockup_final.png file that comes in the
tutorial's ZIP file. Has anyone else encountered these?
(1) I cannot save the file after making even a single minor
change - I get an error message that the file is locked.
(2) When I export the HTML click-through (according to the
instructions), the index.html page looks and acts as expected, and
the image file is 845x700 px. However, the two gallery pages
(europe_gallery and canada_gallery) are tiny and look like
thumbnails (200x166 px) - the hotspots are in the proportionally
correct place, but the pages are miniscule! (At first I thought it
might be a weird Firefox issue resizing the bitmaps, but the actual
JPEGs are this size!)
I'm not sure how or why FW CS3 is exporting a normally sized
page as a very small image. I've shut-down and re-started FW,
downloaded the ZIP file again, and even tried to export before
making *any* changes and after making minor changes to the file.
Every time the canada_gallery and europe_gallery pages export as
200x166 px bitmaps.
Jim, if you're reading this, do you have any ideas or
solutions? (And thanks for all of your contributions to this forum
and other FW groups!)

WAP HTTP POST problems

We believe we have run into a limitation with POSTing sizes through a WAP gateway. We are using a Blackberry 7230 (MIDP 1.0) over T-Mobile. We believe that T-Mobile uses the Nokia Artus gateway.
What we have found is there seems top be a 2k limit on the amount of POSTed data, as our getResponseCode() call times out with 2874 bytes but succeeds with 1794 bytes. Can anyone confirm this? If so, what is the actual limit? Can anyone suggest a workaround?

I need some inputs related to Blackberry.
I posted below query to blackberry guys, but unfortunately i didn't get any response.
I want to send alerts to Blackberry devices using MDS service, and display
the data without any user interaction. Once it is displayed user can
interact with the display object.
As per the info available in the site and feed back from blackberry guys , i have
to write two components
1. Background listening thread that runs on start-up that will await for
incoming data
2.GUI component that the user can run and interact with and this will also
interact with the background listening thread to display new data that
arrives.
I need some clarifications on the above components.
Assumed the i developed both the components and deployed in device.
1. When a new data arrives, does the GUI component can be displayed
(invoked) automatically? or the Gui component has to be in run mode (user
already invoked the component) ?
2. Can i make the gui component as MIDP1.0 component? ie can i use midlet,
for the alerts display?
3. Why i want to use MIDP is for portability. In future, if the blackberry
connect architecture come into play, at least my gui (Midlet) component can
be portable to other devices.
4. The basic question is can my background thread, invoke another
application (MIDP) with out any user interaction?
ie the thread receives data from MDS and invokes MIDP application and gives
the data (or stores in RMS) to that application to display the data with out
any user interaction. Once it is displayed user can close the application.

WAP over GPRS Problem

I'm using a nokia 6610 to retrieve a png file from my server via WAP over GPRS. The code works fine in the emulators. However on the phone I get this error:

I had a feeling that the wap gateway only allowed legitimate wml transmissions. So I connected to a wml page and it worked.
I tried reading the file thru an asp page and that doesnt work. I embedded the data into the asp file and still nada.
Any ideas??

The problem is that the service providers over here have 2 flavors of GPRS
1) Extended GPRS which allows http transfers
2) MMS/WAP - self explanatory
Frustrating!!! I wonder if j2me can be used for anything more than writing games for the next couple of years (till MIDP 2.0 phones get popular here) !
Ok so as I see it, if I need to transfer images over the MMS/WAP(about 0.1% of targets will have the other ) gateway, its gonna have to be a WBMP file.
This implies
a) Redirect to WAP browser
b) Get the image bytes, translate and create png from that
c) write my own wml interpreter
a. i'm sure is impossible
b. implies studying both file encodings and figuring out a translation; painful but possible
c. Not worth it
See a better way?
P.S. I canna figure out why
"<wml><card>[PNG bytes]</card></wml>" gives <GARBAGE>not_accptable<GARBAGE>
while "<wml><card>Hello World</card></wml>" works fine

Uppdating iphone through itunes, problems!

So I uppdate my Iphone 5 through itunes, for a hour the prosses are fine. Then when the question about access to my computer (PC) comes up I answer YES to allow the access, then the next question shows up and it say "Allow by answer the question on the iphone". But no question shows up on the phone its only show the apple logo and the "line" for the uppdate process.But there is no process going on! Need help!

I'm certain your girlfriend had no problems loading previous updates for iOS on her Mac. However, iOS 4.2 requires iTunes 10.1, which requires OSX 10.5.
Had you upgraded as each update came out, or at least prior to iOS 4.2, you would have been able to upgrade to the then current version.
At this point, you are stuck at 3.1.3 unless you can find the install files for another version of iOS.
Just bite the bullet and upgrade to OSX 10.5 or higher (if your Mac will support it, or accept that your current version is the end of the road for you.
