Watch the http request a programm sends

Hello
I want to write a SOAP-Request to a HttpURLConnection Object.
public static void main(String[] args)
          InputStream is;
          String[] mess = {"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?>",
                    "<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:xsd=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema\" xmlns:soap=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\">",
                    "<soap:Body>",
                    "<GetSlideData xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\" />",
                    "</soap:Body>",
                    "</soap:Envelope>"};
          try {
               URL url = new URL("http://localhost:4351/SlideService/Service.asmx?op=GetSlideData");
               HttpURLConnection urlcon = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
               urlcon.setRequestMethod("POST");
               urlcon.setDoOutput( true );
               urlcon.connect();
               OutputStream out = urlcon.getOutputStream();
               for(int i = 0; i < mess.length; i++)
                    for(int j = 0; j < mess.length(); j++)
                         out.write((int)mess[i].charAt(j));
               out.close();
               urlcon.toString();
               is = urlcon.getInputStream();
               System.out.println("ContentType: " + urlcon.getContentType());
catch (Exception e)
               e.printStackTrace();
When I start this program i get a:
Server returned HTTP response code: 415 for URL: http://localhost:4351/SlideService/Service.asmx?op=GetSlideData
The request should look like this:POST /SlideService/Service.asmx HTTP/1.1
Host: localhost
Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
Content-Length: length
SOAPAction: "http://tempuri.org/GetSlideData"
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap:Body>
<GetSlideData xmlns="http://tempuri.org/" />
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
I'm looking for a tool or a way to see the http request, that the application does send.
Does someone have an idea how to do this?
Kind regards,
ClaudeMichelle

  • The MAC signature found in the HTTP request '***' is not the same as any computed signature. Server used following string to sign: 'POST

    Hi,
    When trying with Postman sending a REST call to Azure Storage Queues I get:
    The MAC signature found in the HTTP request '***' is not the same as any computed signature. Server used following string to sign: 'POST.
    The code I have for creating the Authorization Header:
    var accountName = "my_account";
    string key = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["my_access_key"];
    DateTime dt = DateTime.Now;
    string formattedDate = String.Format("{0:r}", dt);
    var canonicalizedHeaders = "x-ms-date:" + formattedDate + "\n" + "x-ms-version:2009-09-19" + "\n" ;
    var canonicalizedResource = "/my_account/myqueue/messages";
    var stringToSign = String.Format("POST,\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n{0}{1}", canonicalizedHeaders, canonicalizedResource);
    stringToSign = HttpUtility.UrlEncode(stringToSign);
    HMACSHA256 hmac = new HMACSHA256(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(key));
    var signature = Convert.ToBase64String(hmac.ComputeHash(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(stringToSign)));
    var authorizationHeader = String.Format(CultureInfo.InvariantCulture, "SharedKey {0}:{1}", accountName, signature);
    return authorizationHeader;
    Anyone any idea what I'm missing/doing wrong?
    Additional question: do i have to create for every message I want to send a new Authorization header? Or is there an option (as with Service Bus Topics) to create a header that can be used for a certain timeframe?
    Thanks.

    One issue is with this line of code:
    HMACSHA256 hmac = new HMACSHA256(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(key));
    Please use the following:
    HMACSHA256 hmac = new HMACSHA256(Convert.FromBase64String(key));
    and that should take care of the problem.
    Regarding your question, "do i have to create for every message I want to send a new Authorization header? Or is there an option (as with Service Bus Topics) to create a header that can be used for a certain timeframe?"
    With your current approach, the answer is yes. What you can do is create a Shared Access Signature on the queue which will be valid for certain duration and then use that for posting messages to a queue using simple HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse.
    Hope this helps.

  • OfficialFile.asmx The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Negotiate,NTLM'. ERROR

    We are getting an error on the authentication piece when trying to submit a file to the OfficialFile.asmx web service to submit a document to the Drop-Off Library. Here is the code snippet -
    public string FileUpload(HttpPostedFile FileInput, RecordsRepositoryProperty[] properties)
    string strFileUrl = string.Empty;
    RecordsRepositorySoapClient repository = new RecordsRepositorySoapClient();
    BinaryReader b = new BinaryReader(FileInput.InputStream);
    byte[] binData = b.ReadBytes(FileInput.ContentLength);
    repository.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(iUserID, iUserPassword, iUserDomain);
    repository.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation;
    repository.SubmitFile(binData, properties, null, FileInput.FileName, HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name);
    strFileUrl = repository.GetFinalRoutingDestinationFolderUrl(properties, null, FileInput.FileName).Url;
    return strFileUrl;
    Although we are setting the network credential in the client call we still get the error
    - The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Negotiate,NTLM'.
    Ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Based on the error message, the issue is related to the authentication type.
    I suggest you can specify the credential type like the below:
    CredentialCache credentialCache = new CredentialCache();
    NetworkCredential credentials = new NetworkCredential(UserName, PassWord, sDomain);
    credentialCache.Add(new Uri(recordCenterUrl), "NTLM", credentials);
    Here is a detailed code demo for your reference:

    Hello,
    >>: The service configuration could not be retrieved from Windows Azure for hosted service with DNS prefix 'rmsazure' in subscription id **************
    Base on error message, I guess your azure service didn't get your certificate and other instances didn't have certificate to auto scale. Please check your upload the certificate on your portal management. Also, you could refer to same thread via link(
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12843401/azure-autoscaling-block-cannot-find-certificate ).
    Hope it helps.
    Any question or result, please let me know.

  • The HTTP Request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme negotiate - MDS Excel Plugin error

    Hi,
    Some users in my company are experiencing a strange issue when connecting to our MDS server using the MDS Excel plugin. They receive the error message:
    "The HTTP Request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme negotiate. The authentication header received from the server was "NTLM,BASIC real="DOMAIN NAME IWA"
    They are receiving this error when first trying to connect. For some reason they only receive this error when connected to the work network via the VPN. They don't receive this error from within our network.
    Does anyone know what might be causing this issue and how to resolve?
    Many Thanks,
    Phil

  • Extract String the ${http.request.path} variable

    Hi,
    I would like to extract value from the variable ${http.request.path}
    Ex: If ${http.request.path} = /test/ramana/details, I would like to define variable say "customer" and assign "ramana" to customer.
    Use Case: I want to set this variable "customer" to "Service Context" activity.
    I tried to use "Extract Path Parameters", as explained in Extract Path Parameters
    But I am unable to add success path from Extract Path Parameters to Set Service Context .
    Policy Path:
    Extract Path Parameters --> Set Service Context --> Connect to URL.
    Can you please help.
    Thanks

  • No response returned for the http request

    My application is running on Weblogic 10 in a clustered environment. The UI is a developed in Eclipse RCP.
    I have a problem where a particular request never returns from the server to the desktop.
    This can be reproduced only in Beta environment and does not happen in Development, Integration or System Test Environment.
    I tried thread dumps but there was no thread waiting for this request.
    I tried http monitor tool but I am unable to find the cause and solution for this.
    Can someone please help me to understand in which situation would this happen and what must be done to overcome this?
    Thanks
    Bala

    Thanks for replying.
    yes, we have put in the logger messages.
    The desktop calls Struts2 Action class and the server does recieves the request, processes it (contacts a 3rd party system), recieves the response from the 3rd party system and then persists the necessary information to the database.
    After this we have logs to print which Action class took how much time. That also gets printed successfully.
    For this process the server took 275 seconds (this is the most time consuming task in the whole app) . After printing this there is no response returned from the server to the desktop.
    There are no exceptions and errors.
    The fact which is most disturbing is that this is not re-creatable in any other environments (dev, IT,ST) and only in BETA. Though all are clustered environments.
    Please help me trace the response. I am ready to implement any ideas. But I want to reach to the root cause. As this is in BETA I am unable to remote debug as well :-((
    Thanks

  • The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'.

    when i connect to wcf service , i am getting the client authentication error.
    It happens only when i connect to wcf service from a client machine (virtual machine) that is logged in with local user account.
    Wcf service is hosted as windows service in my case.
    Client application is a windows application that connects using below security mode.
    BasicHttpBinding httpbind = new BasicHttpBinding();
    httpbind.Security.Mode = BasicHttpSecurityMode.TransportCredentialOnly;
    httpbind.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.Ntlm;
    httpFactory.Credentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel
                                    = System.Security.Principal.TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation;
    Please help me with a solution.
    As i read more through below link , i doubt if the client is not in the same domain, it might not work ? is it rite.

    Well, you need to figure out what the authentication is supposed to be bettwen the WCF client and WCF service, because Windows Authentication is being rejected.

  • How to send a http request to a non java appln

    I have one legacy web application running which can handle only http request . So I need to connect (using http request) and send my request and get the response, without opening that application in browser.
    Any idea
    1) How to connect to non - java appln from a java appln ?
    2) How to use the Httprequest without displaying the page using browser?

    You can try one of three routes:
    Open a socket and write the HTTP request and parse the HTTP response yourself
    Use java.net.URLConnection
    Use Jakarta Common's HttpClient at jakarta.apache.org- Saish

  • File.upload on Air SDK for iOS devices failed to send http request to server.

    I am trying to use ActionScript's File.upload to upload a file on Air SDK for iOS8 environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. No handler about the file upload is executed after File.upload is invoked, and no exception is caught. When I check the network traffic of the server side, I found that no http request even hit the server after File.upload is executed. The code snippet here is very simple.
      private var file:File;
      private var dir:File;
      //This method is executed to create a file and upload it when the Upload Button is pressed.
      protected function OnUploadButtonPressed(event:MouseEvent):void{
      var str:String = 'This is test';
      var imageBytes:ByteArray = new ByteArray();
      for ( var i:int = 0; i < str.length; i++ ) {
      imageBytes.writeByte( str.charCodeAt(i) );
      try{
      dir = File.applicationStorageDirectory
      var now:Date = new Date();
      var filename:String = "test" + now.seconds + now.milliseconds + ".txt";
      file = dir.resolvePath( filename );
      var stream:FileStream = new FileStream();
      stream.open( file, FileMode.WRITE );
      stream.writeBytes( imageBytes );
      stream.close();
      file.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE, uploadComplete );
      file.addEventListener( IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioError );
      file.addEventListener( SecurityErrorEvent.SECURITY_ERROR, securityError );
      file.addEventListener(ErrorEvent.ERROR, someError);
      file.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, onProgress);
      file.upload( new URLRequest("http://10.60.99.31/MyPath/fileUploadTest.do"));//This line does not work. No handler is executed. No http request hit the server side.
      } catch( e:Error ) {
      trace( e );
      //Complete Handler
      private function uploadComplete( event:Event ):void
      trace( "Upload successful." );
      //IOError handler
      private function ioError( error:IOErrorEvent ):void
      trace( "Upload failed: " + error.text );
      //SecurityError handler
      private function securityError(error:SecurityErrorEvent):void{
      trace( "Security error:" + error.text );
      //Other handler
      private function someError(error:ErrorEvent):void{
      trace("some error" + error.text);
      //Progress handler
      private function onProgress(event:ProgressEvent):void{
      trace("progressHandler");
    When executed on Air Simulator, it works fine as expected, and the file is successfully uploaded to the server. But When executed on iOS devices(in my case, iPad), as I explain early, no handler about the file upload is executed, and no the http request even hit the server. So I think the problem may be in the client side. It seems that the Air SDK for iOS just failed to send the http request for some reason.
    To make my problem more clear, I list my environment below:
    Development Environment:  Windows7 (64bit)  / Mac os 10.9.4 (Tested on  OS platforms.)
    IDE: Flash Builder 4.7
    Air SDK:  3.8 / 16.0.0 (After I updated to the lastest Air SDK 16.0.0 , the problem still exists.)
    Application Server:  Tomcat7 + Spring
    Target OS: iOS 8
    I have been struggling for this for days. So I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi bluewindice ,
    As you have quoted ( ActionScript's File.upload does not work on Air SDK for iOS devices ) , this issue has been replicated at our end, and our team will be working on it.
    Thanks,
    Tushar

  • OATS Enhancement: Verify the response contents of http requests which enclosed by begin/endconcurrent

    Recently I’m testing the Fluid UI with OATS 12.4.0.2.
    In this test, since the browser get all tiles in current page simultaneously, I have to simulate this behavior in OpenScript/OLT.
    Then I put all those http requests into a concurrent block ( marked by begin/endconcurrent statments) and it works fine.
    But this bring in a limitation: so far, the OATS doesn’t support to verify the http response contents if those http requests resided inside the concurrent blocks.
    So I did an enhancement for OpenScript to overcome this limitation. I think it might useful if you have similar test scenario.
    How to use it:
    Put the attached file ConcurrentHTTPService.java into your OpenScript project folder ( same folder as where your script.java living).
    Replace the alias line for http in script.java, the below is after replacement:
    //@ScriptService oracle.oats.scripting.modules.http.api.HTTPService http;
    @ScriptService ConcurrentHTTPService http;
      3. Put your http.get inside concurrent block as usual:
    http.beginConcurrent("Get_Tiles_Concurrently");
    //The below IDs are useful for later. We use this ID to identified the http requests inside the concurrent block.
    //If you dn’t have those IDs, it’s OK, we can use the full URL string (including all parameters)to do the same thing,
    //but the full URL is very long, and I hate the screen were occupied by URLs…
    http.get( 193, "http://Page1",...);
    http.get( 194, "http://Page2",...);
    http.endConcurrent("Get_Tiles_Concurrently");
      4. After endConcurrent statement, We can use the following methods to get the http response content by RecID or full URL:
    //Those methods should be used after the endConcurrent statement
    //Get the response contents:
    //Please reference the http.getLastResponseContent method for the explain of parameters.
    info("Resp 193/Page1:" + http.getLastResponseContentForConcurrent(193,Source.Html));
    info("Resp 193/Page1:" + http.getLastResponseContentForConcurrent("http://Page1",Source.Html));
    //Verify the response contents:
    //Please reference the http.AssertText method for the explain of parameters.
    http.AssertTextForConcurrent(193, "Text Match Name", "Key_word_should_appear_in_response_content_of_request_193/page1",
        Source.Html, TextPresence.PassIfPresent, MatchOption.Exact);
    http.AssertTextForConcurrent(("http://Page1", "Text Match Name", "Key_word_should_appear_in_response_content_of_request_194/page2",
        Source.Html, TextPresence.PassIfPresent, MatchOption.Exact);
    Done!
    Thank glenn.s in this thread: How to test asynchronous web service.

    I think I have the solution to your dynamic addressing problem, but I have a problem combining HTTP authentication with dynamic address resolution.
    I've got an external service that requires basic authentication and I've handled it successfully by adding a <MustSupportBasicAuthentication> block to the WSDL, as described in the article "Basic Authentication in HTTP SOAP BC" (http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=HTTPBasicAuthentication). This works perfectly, causing the HTTP BC to send credentials every time it accesses the external service.
    Now I want to make the URL of this external service dynamic (i.e., read it at run time from a configuration mbean). I followed the example from the article "Using Dynamic Address feature" (http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=UsingDynamicPartnerLinks), which shows you how to send an endpoint reference (EPR), in the form of an <EndpointReference> block. This also works fine.
    (I believe this last technique is the solution to your dynamic addressing problem. I've used both with and without BPEL. To use it outside of BPEL, you make a DocumentFragment out of the XML tree that begins with <EndpointReference> and pass it as an argument to the resolveEndpointReference method of your component context. This causes the JBI container to contact the HTTP BC, which understands the EPR.)
    My problem is this: once I've dynamically changed the target URL of the external service, the HTTP BC seems to forget that it requires authentication and no longer sends credentials.
    Has anyone else experienced this behavior, and if so how did you work around it?

  • Httpservice.send() resulting in two http requests

    hi,
    I am using HTTPService() to send some xml data inside an HTTP
    POST request. But very often, i do
    see this resulting in two local ports being opened and the
    http request being sent out twice, once from each port.
    is this possible in some race condition?
    thanks,
    Sunil

    some snippets of my code:
    //build the http request
    var request:HTTPService = new HTTPService();
    request.method = "post";
    request.headers = headers[request.method];
    request.url = httpServer;
    request.resultFormat = HTTPService.RESULT_FORMAT_TEXT;
    request.contentType = "text/xml";
    request.addEventListener(InvokeEvent.INVOKE , httpInvoke,
    false);
    i do see the invoke callback only being called once. That
    makes me guess that from the application code, httpservice.send()
    is called only once.
    any help will be great.
