Waveburner and Soundtrack Pro :ask for a serial and XS key all the time
Dears all,
i have installed the Logic package on a new Mac. All seems fine but all the time i start Waveburner or Soundtrack pro i get a serial number and xs key dialog box. Can someone help me ?

Problem solved in this way :
Launch Waveburner -> type or copy the Logic 9 serial -> at the second dialog box ( insert xs key or type the serial ) type or paste the Logic 8 serial number.
It work and also Sountrack is running flawless without serial ask.

This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

As long as you share that AppleID for iCloud, you cannot. You are sharing a a single iCloud account and sync services. The only thing you can do is get a second AppleID and use it with iCloud - you do not have to use that new AppleID for anything but iCloud (ie. you can still share an AppleID for iTunes and App store purchases).
P.S. I am assuming you both want to sync your contacts with iCloud? -

i recently upgraded to Lion and i find that my computer is running slow and applications are crashing. For example I have Word 2011 for Mac and it crashes all the time I end up losing my work. It often happens when I'm in class using notebook and when I press record my computer starts thinking and it freezes.
Also, I feel that it overheats often and my battery runs out pretty quickly. I had the macbook (black) and this never happened before. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there is something with my computer.I bought my computer summer 2010, I don't think this should be happening. Please Help......This is exactly what keeps happening to mine too. I was at a conference taking notes, and I was
using the Notebook template, and doing some audio recording simultaneously. About 3 hours into the conference (not consistently recording, but on and off with the sessions) my file wouldn't save anymore, saying something like "File cannot be modified while in use with another program" and "Invalid file name" when I would go back into my folder to look for it). I tried installing some updates from Microsoft, and when I restarted, I was at least able to open my old notes again, and so far it looks like the audio was working. However, today at the conference, the same thing happened again, but I wasn't actively recording any audio (though after I had copy and pasted my second file of notes into the original, I went back to using it after re-naming it).
Does the crash happen to you under similar cirucumstances? The update might help a little, but it is definitely not the solution. Does anyone have any solutions? Lion shouldn't be this buggy... I moved to Mac to get away from the garbage of bugs and compatibility issues... -
My daughter and granddaughter have the same model iPhone. I can go messages and text my granddaughters phone from my ipad2, but when I try to text my daughter I get the message that she is not registered with I message, but she is registered and gets texts all the time. What do we need to do?

What blue bubble are you trying to turn on? If you mean that the Send button will not work, go to Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field>Off. Make sure that is set to off.
If you send an iMessage, the texts between the devices appear in a blue bubble.
iMessages only work between iOS devices and they are different than the standard text messages that any cell phone can send to another cell phone. -

Why is Acrobat X Pro Asking For A Serial Number?
I have an up-to-date subscription on The Cloud and now for some reason Acrobat X is asking me to enter a serial number. The Cloud also says that I have the updated Acrobat XI version already installed. It is not on my system and I never initiated an upgrade to XI to begin with. Any ideas why this is occuring? I can't use the software. It will no longer launch.

this didn't solve my issue unfortunately. Subscriptions to the Cloud do not require the input of serial numbers. What was also odd about this particular situation was that my subscription was telling me that Acrobat XI Pro was installed and updated, but it was not showing in my Applications folder. I had to locate the Installer for Acrobat XI Pro (HD>Utilities>Adobe Installers), launch this and then UNinstall the program. I then had to reinstall the program through my Cloud Application Manager. This solved my issue. Also, Acrobat X Pro is not part of the Cloud subscription - Acrobat XI Pro is, however. That is why it was asking for a serial number. I hope this helps someone else. Thanks. -
Show Keywords and Adjust Menus all the time.
I am now fortunate enough to have a dual-monitor setup, and wish to have the Keywords and Adjustment menus open all the time using iPhoto '08. Is there a way to do this? I see nothing in the Preferences that will allow such.
Go to the Last Import smart album, select all photos and create a new album with them. Open that album, select the photo you want to have the same keywords, type Command+K to bring up the Keyword pane and add keywords to all selected photos at the same time.
There are several Apple scripts for adding titles to selected photos. They can be found in Photos for Mac User Tips. There is also a script for adding the same Description to multiple photos.
Moments in Photos are the new Events, i.e. groupings of photos sorted by date taken.
When the iPhoto Library was first migrated to Photos there was a folder created in the sidebar titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in that folder. To open the sidebar if it's not already open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
There's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.
The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right.

Please help. At work we have netgear and tplink. Since I updated my mini iPad and iPhone 4S with ios 7wifi drops all the time. What is the problem?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi.
