Way to unload FM group from memory

hi experts,
Is there any way to remove fm group from memory and reload it into memory mannual in the components of the fm group?
I set up a workflow and create a fm group to work for the workflow. A task in workflow calls a BO's method which calls a fm of the FMgroup for a user dialog. The user dialog screen belongs to the same fm group.
But I found in business workplace(SBWP), when the previous workitem completed , that is, the user finish his screen, the FMgroup is not removed from memory. I think it is because the calling program, the business workplace, didn't end. So I wonder is there any way to remove the fm group from memory mannaully?

In Java who unload objects of memory is the Garbaga Collection.
But we can help the G.C. doing the object eligible to be unload. For example.:

In Address Book, any way to Show/Hide groups from view in the "ALL" view?

I have groups of contacts in Address Book (v4.0.4) that I plan to use in the future, but right now having to wade through and past all of their individual entries when I am scanning my contact list in the "All" group view. Is there any way to Show/Hide these sub-groups with a visibility check-box? The sub-group name would still be there in the group list (to remind me that it exists and make it visible if desired), but I would have a lot less clutter and scrolling the rest of the time.
I know I can export groups in vCard format and re-import later, but a lot of my original custom fields for the contacts are lost in the process. Is there a 3rd-party plug-in? (Apple, are you working on something like this?)

Hi Mike, My Address Book app is behaving correctly (maybe I'm not).
I'm just saying there are times when I want to see "most" of my total collection of contacts, maybe just for the purpose of creating new groups at particular time and want to see at one time the pool of contacts I have to choose from. There are groups that I very seldom need to use, so it would be a way of putting those groups (and their contacts) into "cold storage."
I also may want to do searches from among most of my contacts, but also I may want to eliminate certain other particular groups from that search pool. That is the reason for wanting to do the "Show/Hide" thing. It is a way of displaying a logical "ALL" minus "SOME", which is the basically same thing as displaying the logical "UNION" of more than one group of contacts at one time. Can this be done?
Is there a way to open alternate address books, from within the same Address Book app (and logged in as the same user)? That would allow me to truly isolate my work list from my home list.
One answer to this occurs to me: I could create different log-ins on my PowerBook, and build the different variants of the Address Book I might want into each login and use Fast User Switching to get into each list of contacts. That seems like a lot of extra work . . . and logging in. Any suggestions?

High DB Resident consumption + Unload table process from memory

Hi SAP experts,
I need your great help!
We have implemented the HANA accelerators for all standard scenarios available and some custom programs, as well as the HANA Live package for critical areas (almost 200 tables replicated in real time). Now we are facing issues in HANA productive related to DB Resident consumption (see attached) and I have realized that indexserver logs has increased significantly.
My questions are:
1) How can I check which specific process is causing this issue? Reset Memory Statistics would be a good practice to release space?
2) I read that HANA has an automatic process to unload tables and release memory space. Does it work only for virtual memory? Besides this process is it a good practice to do the manual unload?
3) Is it possible find by period how many unloads tables were done automatically? I know the general query select * from "M_CS_UNLOADS" but it is not specified by period.
Sorry for many questions. I really appreciate your comments for these points.

1) Memory shortage is a system wide problem and often not a single process but a whole set of processes lead to the situation. The "one bad process" situation is rather seldom.
2) Not sure what you mean by the "virtual memory" point here. And no, it's not good practice to manually trigger unloads. SAP HANA keeps track on which memory structures can go and will unload them if needed (and only then).
As a rule of thumb: more often than not OOM problems are due to undersized systems.
3) M_CS_UNLOADS contains a timestamp that can be used for splitting into periods.
You may use Solution Manager for a more user appealing experience or the monitoring scripts of SAP note 1969700.

Is there a way to exclude certain groups from my contacts so those birthdays don't show up in my calendar?

I like the birthday button in iCal, but it is pulling in birthdays from every contact that I have a birthday for in my addressbook. I have a sub-group that all have birthdays, but I don't want to see those birthdays in my calendar as they are not a group of people I have to deal with on a regular basis. I don't want to delete those birthdays and lose the data, but I don't want to see their birthdays in my calendar (over 400 people). Is there any way to exclude certain people's birthdays from my address book?

The birthday calendar lists all contacts that have a birthday listed in the birthday field. You would have to do something like cut and paste this data into the notes field of the contacts you wanted to exclude from the birthday calendar in order to keep this data without showing them in your birthday calendar.

Fastest way to create a group from list of recived emails

I thought this would be as easy as drag and drop but no such luck.
Here's the situation. I had a class of 25 students email me from their mobile phones all using the same subject. Now I'd like to create a mailing list / group so that I can easly contact all of them if need be. I tried creating a new group and dragging all of the emails into it to no avail. I also tried right clicking and checking the menus to see if there were any options which there weren't.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd be open to using automator or something similar if it worked.

I think the fastest way to do this is in Mail>Message>Add to Address Book, then in AB>File>New Smart Group>Card:>Was updated After... say yesterday, then select all those & make a new (not Smart) Group to drag them to so it won't change after that.
Unless you could get them all to eMail with some other unique that AB can see as a Group field.

Is there a way to move tab group from one window to another?

I have several windows open, and some of them have multiple tab groups. Is there an easy way to move these tab groups between the windows?
I saw the workaround of making bookmarks of all the tabs in one group, move to the target window and open the bookmarks there.
To be honest I found this one a slow and messy way to do things and hope to find a better solution or raise this as a feature request.

Patrick helped me find this add on [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tabgroups-manager/] where it groups tab groups into other groups, and there are bugs that have the [feature request] title in them.

Is there any way to email a group from your iPhohe4 iOS 5?

I can create groups in my contacts list, but I have not been able to figure out how to email a specific group. I am assuming since I can create a group I should be able to email that group by typing in its name in the "to" box of my email. However, that does not work. Is there any way to do this?

Please check you contact name in the device and verify if the names does not start with none alphabetic characters (e.g. @, &, *, etc). This characters will actually stop the sync process and will not be able to successfully complete the transfer of data. Do the same thing with the contact data you have online just to be sure..
If that it still doesn't work, delete your Google account on the device, restart, and then recreate the same account.

Unload an external dll from memory

Hello friends,
we are currently trying to resolve the following problem:
A vendor supplied dll has certain problems that can probably only be solved by unloading the dll from memory. This happens naturally when the application quits. But we need to reset it at run time. Is it possible to tell windows and/or labview to remove the dll from memory, so that it is being reloaded with the next call?

Hello Matthias,
LabView unloads the DLL when the VI that uses this DLL is unloaded. This happens when the application quits or when you close LabView. However you could use the VI-Server technology to dynamically load the VI using the dll. This has the advantage, that you could unlaod the VI after you used it, and so the DLL would be unloaded, too. YOu can check the developer zone on www.ni.com, if you are not familiar with the VI-Server technology.

Yeah, if this is the way it's supposed to work its a useless and, dare I say, stupid "feature". Wouldn't the whole point of this be to have quick access to groups of pages. If I have to select them each time to create the group what is it doing for me?

How to delete "group" from phone contact info?

I used my Mom's computer to update my iPhone. Unfortunately, it added all her address book phone contacts to my phone book. I deleted all her contacts, but it won't let me delete her "groups" from the group list--even though the groups are "empty." Any way to delete her groups from my iPhone?

I wouldn't have been condescending had you included that you no longer have your own computer with your original post or with your reply to my post and thanked me for replying and trying to help. Since you synced your contacts with your Mom's Address Book, your iPhone contacts should be available in your Mom's Address Book and your Mom's contacts and Address Book Groups should be available on your iPhone.
Is this not the case?

Play Media from memory, like a byte[]

Hi,
I'm using three media classes in tandem to stream and play a media file locally as shown below. The problem is my file is encrypted for security (in addition to normal encoding like avi). If it isn't encrypted, I can easily stream it. When it is encrypted I have to decrypt to a temp directory first, but this defeats the security.
Is there any way to decrypt the Media as it streams?
Alternatively, is there a way to play it completely from memory?
I was able to do something similar with the ImageView class by creating an Image object from a BufferedImage via the toFXImage function of the SwingUtils package which allowed me to show the Image from memory. Anything similar for video?

I can't seem to remove / unload the external swf files e.g when the carousel.swf (portfolio) is displayed and I press the about button the about content is overlapping the carousel (portfolio) . Thank you for the helpful advice. I made the changes as you suggested but I am receiving a #1009 error message even though my site is working the way I wan it to work. I would still like to fix the errors so that my site runs and error free. This is the error I am receiving:
"TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference."
I'm sure this is not the best method to unload loaders and I am guessing this is why I am receiving the following error message.

How to unload QTVR from memory?

I have 15 QTVR movies in an external cast. Each is loaded
from a Flash button menu to a QT sprite(2) using 'showvideo', and
replaces the movie currently loaded to the sprite. Is there a way
to unload the previous QT from memory before the new one loads?

You can redownload most iTunes purchases directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise you will have to sync from your iTunes library.

Flex Can Not Unload Applications From Memory! QED

at work we are trying to load and unload Flex Applications from a long standing shell application. We have studied the appropriate documentation, especially this

but we have found that Flex simply will nor release memory once used, no matter how simple the flex application. I have put a couple of posts on my blog about it

Styles can pin an application or module in memory in 3.x versions of Flex but this has been fixed in Flex 4. There are other things that can cause memory leaks. Probably the easiest one to run into, especially with a shell application, are leaks caused by resource bundles.
If a sub-application or module uses components that use ResourceBundles that are not used by the main application, those resource bundles will get registered with the ResourceManager and pin the first instance of the application or module. You can use the -compiler.keep-generated-actionscript compiler option to see which resource bundles the module and main application are using. The resource bundles are listed in the "compiledResourceBundleNames" object of the info() function. You can force the main application to have those additional resource bundles by adding the resource bundle metadata to the main application. For example, to add the "controls" resource bundle, you would add to the main application MXML file: <mx:Metadata>[ResourceBundle("controls")]</mx:Metadata> If you are loading your resource bundles as modules, make sure the resource modules have completed loading before loading the module that is being pinned.
