WCS Audit Mismatch

Hi there
we had some problems with audit mismatches on a WCS version 5.0.x; it always said that the apUserName, apPassword and apEnablePassword.
Then we upgraded to WCS version 5.2.148 and WLC 5.2.193. The problems with the username and password mismatches was solved.
But then a problem with the general switching template occured (see attachment). In the switching template we configured the lag as enabled, but when we apply the templates (via config groups) and do an "audit now" in the controllers menu, we get a mismatch.
Did someone else ever had these phenomena or do we have some errors in the configuration?
Also when I enable lag in the template, then the message (Enabling_LAG.gif) appears and says that the WLAN interfaces will be mapped to the management interface. But with the WLAN templates I override this setting - is this a problem or is this the right approach?
Thanks in advance and best regards
Dominic

Hi lavramov
now I deleted both controllers on the WCS and added them new, also the templates were discovered from scratch.
I added them to a config group and applied them to the controllers, this works fine. When I do an Audit in the config group, there is a mismatch "Different values on controller", but when I do an audit under configure > controller > audit status, they are identical.
I attached the logs, hope you can use them.

Dominic

  • Problem audit mismatch WCS/WLC for local net user

    HI,
I have a problem in my WCS the audit status is mismatch for my two controllers. When I see the details of the mismatch, it is said that all my 400 users are "not present in controller".
However, I checked directly on my web interface of my controllers and my users are there (Security--> AAA--> Local Net Users). I've also checked on the WCS (ConfigureàControllersà controlerà Security à AAA -> local net user).
In both My users are present and are identical.
When i refresh config from controllers on the WCS it disappears but a week after the mismatch comes back.
    If anyone can help, Thanks
    Alex

Anyone able to answer this one?
We are having the same issue.  We had WLC code 7.0.116.0 with WCS giving us mismatches on certain thresholds, despite the fact that the controller and the WCS configs were a match and no one made changes.  We would refresh confgi from controller and a week later, the mismatch was back.  It's as if there was something wrong with the WCS database.  We upgraded to NCS 1.1 and are now on WLC code 7.0.230.0 and it worked for a while, but we are now randomly experiencing the same issues and then some with NCS.
We have a multi-tenant campus that has several of another organizations access points configured as friendly in NCS, but the controllers still had them as rogue and were containing them.  We are also experiencing a max client count threshold that is set to 20 on the controller, but NCS is now reverting back to the default 12 value and giving off a mismatch.  I don't know if there is a SQL issue with the database or not, but we service roughly 3000 users on a 5 million sq. ft. campus and some of these mismatches and failure to identify critical mismatches is starting to become a problem.  Going to open a TAC case, but if anyone has any insight in the mean time, that would be helpful.  Thanks!

  • WCS showing mismatch

    hello friends,
i have integrated our WLC 6.0.196.0  with WCS 7.0.172.0
but when i login to wcs and going to configre than controller tab its showing mismatch in audit status
and when i click on mismatch than its showing me under WCS Config Discrepancies that the wcs value and controller values are not similar to each other.
    what that means?
it seems to wcs is not integrated with WLC
and if you change any configution in WLC its not changing in WCS too
hos i can solve this issue plz advise.
    thanks in advance

WCS does not sync automatically when changes are made from the WLC. You need to go into WCS and on the top right in the drop down box, choose refresh config from controller (something like that). Then it will ask if you want to retain or overwrite the current values. It's up to you there.. I aways use the current new values.

  • WCS Lobby Ambassador audit report for a specific period of time

    Hi all,
I know there is an WCS audit report for each lobby ambassador activities. But the problem is that I see only activities from Nov 9 to the present. I don't know what the reason is, whether somebody erased that information before Nov 9 or something else happened.
Is there any option to manually configure a specific period of time, for example obtain all activities for last 3 months?
    Thanks for any hint.

  • WCS and WLC WLAN Config not fully in sync

    Hi,
We're facing the issue WCS and WLC WLAN Config is not fully in sync. WLC  showing server 1 is IP:10.160.22.151, Port:1812 but WCS server showing none even  after click on “Audit” button. Any idea how to resolve this issue? Is this causing any wireless problem? Attached is screen captured. Thanks for your help.

You mentioned "audit". Have you done a WCS audit so the WLC and WCS are in SYNC?
If you make a change on the WLC you will not see it in WCS UNLESS they are SYNC. You will see the term "mismatch".

  • WCS Error when clicking on Access List

When I log into the WCS and under Security open up Access List and then click on one of the Access List to edit it I get the error message Attached.  And this is also causing an Audit mismatch too.  Any ideas?

Is your WCS version equal to or higher than the wlc? Make sure all the services are running fine, but I get errors when te command fails due to the fact that something else has to be disabled or removed first.
    Thanks,

  • Cisco Prime WLC mismatch due to expired guest voucher

    Hi Cisco Community,
a customer of mine likes to administrate his guest vouchers via lobby ambassador accounts on Cisco Prime.
Unfortunately if one of these Guest Vouchers expires Cisco Prime shows up an Audit Mismatch because this Voucher isnt present at the Controller but still present at Cisco Prime.
I have already tried to execute the Background Task -> Guest Accounts Sync manually but this doesnt solve the issue.
I will add some Screenshots for explanation.
    1. I deploy the guest voucher to our WLC´s
    2. The guest voucher is visible at the controllers security configuration tab.
    3. The guest voucher reaches its validity period and disapears from all the controllers.
4.Then only one controller shows up a configuration mismatch.
After executing the Background Task -> Guest Accounts Sync manually this voucher will be shown as "Expired"
But the mismatch still remain between Controller and PI
Why is this happening and why does it happen only at one of the controllers??
How am I able to fix this issue?
    Thanks for your support
    regards
    Benedikt

Since it has been a while, you might be better off opening a TAC case.  If PI doesn't get the config refreshed from the WLC, thats when you get the error your showing.  So maybe run the background task just on that one WLC and see if it fails or you get an error.
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • WCS 7.0 AP Audit Report

I have moved some APs from one controller to another.  I notice now that the AP audit reports shows a mismatch between WCS and the WLC.  The attribute that is being reported is Support Encryption and Max Clients.  The Max Clients is an RRM threashold that I am aware of, but I have no idea what setting Support Encryption is or what template to find it.

Nope.  All WLCs are running 7.0.116.  I have already verified that my WCS and WLCs are compatible as far as software versioning is concerned.  The max clients are the RRM thresholds.  So if you go into a template under 802.11a/n or b/g/n and go under RRM and Max clients, it is just setting the threshhold of how many clients can connect to the radio before there is an alarm.
It is the Support Encryption I have no idea what setting on the WLC that is referring to.

    Hi Everyone,
I've been clearing up the config differences between my WCS and the WLCs and for the most part I've identified what each line in the audit report refers to. However the following has me stumped:

It would be really easy to just do a "restore values from controller" to reslove the differences but I'd really like to find these within the configuration pages in order to increase my understanding of the CUWN.
Can anyone tell me what these entries are?
    Many Thanks

    Hi Sam,
Is that relevant? I was really looking for the location of these configuration options/parameters within either WCS or the WLCs.
    thanks

  • What is "Network Audit" on the WCS ?

I see a scheduled task for "Network Audit" but its disabled and not exactly sure what it is suppose to do.
Any have more details on this?

I have the Base+Location version of WCS and it is disabled by default.
I have heard from other members that the Base only version has this enabled by default.
Since it does not make any changes, it only reports on mismatches between controllers and WCS, why would it be off by default?
I am having issues keeping my controllers in sync with the WCS, was hoping this would help.
    But I guess not

  • WLC Audit Status Mismatch

    Hi,
We have two WLC 01 and 02, the WLC01 its the primary and all of AP has WLC01 as primary and WLC02 as secondary.
We've had network issues that have caused WLC01 to lose connectivity (temporarily) - this caused WLC02 to take the Active role, but some users are left without service (others are not affected).
We had to reboot WLC02 to force WLC01 to return to the Active role so all the users recover the service.
The only unusual sign we've noticed is a "Mismatch" Audit Status that shows up in the Configure -> Controllers window in the WCS.
    What could be missing?

I have the WLC02 configuration (show run-config) and I can see that not all interfaces are configured, i mean configuration is missing on WLC02.
***But these interfaces appear reviewing the configuration of the WLC02 through the WCS (Configre->Controllers->WLC02->System->Interfaces)
If I run the refresh will fix the problem?

  • WLC/WCS Guest Access and Audit trail

I am currently using WLC version 4.2.112.0 and WCS version 5.0.56.2 and am looking for a way to keep an audit trail for assigned Guests rather than for the LobbyAdministrator creation and deletion of accouts...is this a feature of the WCS?
I know that i could use AD and use accounting portion of AAA of the radius server but is this function available on the WCS?

@Jacobt777   Thank you so much.  Your solution took me about two seconds and the problem is fixed.
Should have checked this forum an hour ago when I was about ready to throw the phone against the wall, but i love my iphone too much.

  • NCS Prime 1.3 Controller Audit Status Mismatch

When performing an audit from NCS Prime 1.3 on our 5508 controllers (500 lic)  we are getting mismatch messages from many of our 3602i AP's that say the following...
(Type)Configuration Name     Audit Status              Attribute           Prime Infrastructure Value     Controller Value
(AP APname, Interface) 802.11a/n     Mismatch     Spectrum Intelligence      true                                       false
These AP's are not configured as Spectrum Intelligence on the controllers, rather as local. It seems that NCS believes that they are supposed to be SI. We have refreshed the config from controller many times but this does not change.
    The 5508's run v.7.2.111.3
Is there a change I can make on NCS or otherwise to make this mismatch go away? Is this a bug? It is not causing any problems (that we can see) but as most would rather not have these mismatches.
    Much Thanks!

Well when you do an audit, you specify what templates you want to audit the WLC's against. So take a look at when you perform an audit as to what tempted you have chosen. This could of been an old template and needs to be removed.

  • Mismatch Between Audit Report And Trial Balance

    Hi all,
There is a difference between Inventory Audit Report And Trial Balance figure.
how to match both the things ?
    Thanking you
    Malhaar

    Hi,
If there is no manual transation then you can then check the following page:
    [Inventory valuation Checkup|https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001515052008]
There is a script in the link which provides you the determination of the database or the system which could present inconsistent inventory values between stock audit reports and general ledger stock accounts, resulting in potential asset valuation discrepancies.
Check the link. You would be needing S-user ID and password for it.
Check Note No. : 1563308 as well.
