WDDynamicRFCException
Hi,
I created two JCo Destinations, one for MODELDATA and another for RFC_MEDATADATA. I am using the above two for 20 WebDynpro applications.
Couple of WebDynpro applications are working fine, but the remaining one are giving the following message.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCException: Could not create JCOClientConnection
Please assure that you have configured the RFC connections and/or logical System Name properly for this model
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Vijay,
are you sure that you always used the same names for MODELDATA and RFC_METADATA settings?
Bye,
Timo

RKHi Ravinda,
You add to one of your WD RFC Adaptive model relations not instance of com.sasol.pr.create.Bapimereqitemimp$Bapimereqitemimp_List BUT com.sasol.pr.create.Bapimereqitem$Bapimereqitem_List
Check the place where you instanciate your model, establish relations and bind model to model class.
Best regards, Maksim Rashchynski. -
How do I populate an abstractlist that is an input to an RFC? I read the post by Bertram Ganz, but my generated classes look different. I imported the RFC and the system generated the following:
-zbapi_appraisal_create
-zbapi_appraisal_create_input
-appraisees (bapiappraisee)
-bapiappraisee
-fields...
-output (zbapi_appraisal_create_output)
-same as output node below
-appraiser_id
-rest of input parameters...
-zbapi_appraisal_create_output
...etc.
I have no problem setting the regular input parms, but how do I set the table? I tried the following, but I get a ClassCastException on the call to setAppraisees().
Zbapi_Appraisal_Create_Input input = new Zbapi_Appraisal_Create_Input();
wdContext.nodeZbapi_Appraisal_Create().bind(input);
input.setAppraisal_Model_Id(appraisalModelId);
input.setStart_Date(startDate);
input.setText(description);
input.setCreation_Date(appraisalDate);
input.setAppraiser_Id(appraiserId);
//static values
input.setPlan_Version("01");
input.setAnonymous(true);
input.setAppraiser_Type("P");
input.setAppraiser_Plan_Version("01");
//create appraisee
<b>Bapiappraisee obj = new Bapiappraisee();
obj.setPlan_Version("01");
obj.setType("P");
obj.setId(appraiseeId);
obj.setName(appraiseeName);
List myList = input.getAppraisees();
if (myList == null) myList = new ArrayList();
myList.add(obj);
input.setAppraisees((AbstractList)myList);</b>
wdContext.currentZbapi_Appraisal_CreateElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
Any input is greatly appreciated!!

WDDynamicRFCException most likely comes in the following cases:
a) JCo is not setup properly
b) Your function module does not exist in R/3 system referred by your JCo
c) Your function module is not RFC enabled
d) DD_DOMA_GET is not RFC enabled
Also make sure you have got your cardinality settings for your model node in context controller proper.
If you have used a template approach, just check your wdDoInit method of your custom/component controller for code similar to the following:
wdContext.nodeBAPI_Input().bind(new BAPI_Input());
If you have the above code and the code that you have just pasted , just comment this code and try executing your application again.

Hi All,
I am getting this exception
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCException: List must contain AbstractList (ProxyList) of Type , not of !
Plz help.
Regards
Nikhil Bansalhi,
this is because , passing table to BAPI is different than just binding structure to the model node.
For structure we would have simply bound them as
<model class name>.set<Structure name>(structure element);
but, for passing table we need to create the abstract list for the table node, like as,
Bapiparnr.Bapiparnr_List PartnerList = new Bapiparnr.Bapiparnr_List();
Partner.setPartn_Numb(PartnerNumber);
Partner.setPartn_Role("AG");
PartnerList.addBapiparnr(Partner);
SO.setOrder_Partners(PartnerList);
// check out this List structure creation and use Partner is element of table node
//this first need to added to PartnerLIst which is abstract list structure for table
//node , then added this to model class node in the last step
hope it helps

Error connection using JCO.Client
Hello all,
I got the following problem <b>"Error connection using JCO.Client"</b> and don't know what's wrong. All connections works at the content administration when I test the connection.
Can anyone help me please?
Best regards
PetraHi,
I almost tested the JCO connection with the 'test' button successfully at the content administrator. I tested again and it still works. And I have a stand alone webdynpro application (no portal).
Now I got the following error message after completing the coding with 'e.printStackTrace().'.
<i>
"Error connection using JCO.Client:null"
"[Ljava.lang.StackTraceElement:@60db08"

The problem may be with JCo destinations. If you have authorization in Portal, navigate to Content Administration -> Web Dynpro.
In the left side you can see deployed web dynpro applications. Check in local, sap, or any of your custom namespace. Browse & select to your application. Right side you can see JCo destinations for your application. If they are in green color , means they are created. If not, ask your basis team to create them. If they are n green color, ping and test them. if they are working fine or not.
If they are fine, try to deploy after you have logged into the portal.

Need help interpreting an RFC Web dynpro exception
Hi,
The following code shows how I set the content of a wdp model:
Z_Zmm_Tax_Calc2_Input TaxCode2 = new Z_Zmm_Tax_Calc2_Input();
wdContext.nodeZ_ZMM_TAX_CALC2().bind(TaxCode2);
TaxCode2.addItems(new Zzz_Tax_Calc());
It's the last line of the code that causes the exception
When executing the model I get the following.
Error stacktrace:
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCException: The Relation must reference ModelClass instances of Type , not of !

Can anyone tell me what it means?

Olof TronnbergHi Olof,
Z_Zmm_Tax_Calc2_Input TaxCode2 = new Z_Zmm_Tax_Calc2_Input();
wdContext.nodeZ_ZMM_TAX_CALC2().bind(TaxCode2);
These two lines of code will first create a object of the model node and bind it to the present view s context node.
I thnk this node Z_Zmm_Tax_Calc2_Input() has structures in it. When ur rfc needs inputs we hav to set them as
say
TaxCode2.set<some attribute in the model node>(its value);
If there is a structure
TaxCode2.set<structure name>(new <structure name>);
This is the correct way.
When u say TaxCode2.addItem(); the argument needed is of type Item . IS zzz_tax_calc of that type..
If its not of the type it will throw the classcast exception
AddItem is usually used when we have to add more than instance.
Bind creates one instance of the node and binds it.
I think its a gud practice to stick with bind and set rather than add when it comes to RFC s

Error - unable to establish JCO connection with SSO
Hello,
I have implemented XSS on WebDP and this is working fine. So my JCO connections SAP_R3_HumanResources must be configured correctly. However I have just done the 'GetFlight' BAPI tutorial and upon execution I get the error:
'com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCException: Could not create JCOClientConnection for logical System: SAP_R3_HumanResources - Model: class com.sap.tut.wd.flightlist.model.FlightModel. Please assure that you have configured the RFC connections and/or logical system name properly for this model!'
CAUSED BY
'User not authenticated (is anonymous) - unable to establish JCO connection with SSO'
Can anyone help here?
Thanks

In Javascript or PHP you can have a function that could return, for example, a string in case of success and false in case of failure. I've noticed (in the few days I've been learning C#) that you need to define a type of value that the function will
