How to identify the SQLs which are using the tables and new columns

I m using oracle 10G Database in windows. Developers have added some columns in some of the database tables and were asking to check whether there is some impact on performance or not. I have not done this performance tuning before. Kindly help me how to proceed further.
How to obtain the sqls which are touching the tables and the new columns? It would be really great if you can help me with this.

You can try to use DBA_DEPENDENCIES to get PL/SQL objects using tables: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/statviews_1041.htm#i1576452.
However if SQL code is not stored in database in a trigger, a procedure, a function, a package or a view, it is impossible to retrieve all SQL code referencing some table from database dictionary: for this you would have to analyze application source code.

Some materials are used by WM and some materials are not used by WM in SLOC

We are going to use WM in F100 Storage Location.
But because of business, Some materials(A) will be managed by WM and some materials(B) will be not managed by WM in same storage location.
So some materials(A) have WM view in material master and some materials(B) have no WM view.
But when posting GR for material(B), error occurs.
the message is as below.

Diagnosis
All the materials that you use within a warehouse number must also be defined for this warehouse number. The material you are using is not defined.
Procedure
If you want to use the material within your warehouse number, you must create the material in the material segment for that warehouse number.
Let me know how to fix it.
We are going to use WM in A sloc.
In A Sloc, some material are managed by WM level and some material are managed by only MM level.

You assign a warehouse to a storage location, which means that the entire storage location is warehouse managed. all materials in this storage location have to have a WM view,
It is not possible to decide it on material level if it is subject to WM or not.
You have to create an extra storage location for the non-WM-materials to meet your requirement

Using a SpaceNaviagtor and X11 application

We are using the 3D CAD CAM Unigraphics NX from Siemens/PLM. They have a Mac port for Unigraphics on X11. I like to use the SpaceNaviagtor for the 3D Window as in the Windows and Unix Version. I know Apple use Unigraphics for the Product Development. So maybe some one here can thell me how to install the SpaceNaviagtor driver on X11 on a Mac.

So where are the real photos that are used between iPhoto and iMovie?

OK....this is getting ridiculous...

Powerbook Pro with iLife 06 and all updates...
Spent five days editing project on my Macbook Pro --> emptied trash and bye bye project...Started over on my G5 since none of my clips are editable now (Thanks Apple! I needed that)
I had previously spent a week editing over 200 photos in Photoshop on my Macbook...This included color correction and dust and scratches as well as some retouching...So I transferred all Photos onto my G5 from my Macbook Pro and imported into Library...New discovery...Photos look like crap now...Like they were never cleaned up at all...Interesting...
So I start redoing some of these retouches and save them...Of course the changes are not reflected in iPhoto or iMovie since it doesn't really use the originals again after the initial import...Or does it?
So now here is another baffling thing to me...I do red eye correction to some photos and it is an immeditate change that can be seen in iMovie when importing...But if I rotate the pictures, no...sorry that only seems to take effect after I rotate the original in Photoshop and then reimport into my iPhoto library and delete the duplicates that have now gotten created in the process...
Can someone help me understand what is going on...This added work is giving me a headache...Where and how does iPhoto store and use the images? Why if i rotate a photo it doesn't take effect in iPhoto/iMovie unless I completely reimport, but I can remove red eye instantly...And what has happened to all the changes I made to the existing photos to remove the dust and scratches originally?

All images must be in a project. You can place then in as many albums as you wish- even albums outside the project where they reside- but they will remain in the project.
Move the images to the album. Then drag them over the project where the album resides and they will be moved to that projects. If you drag them to an album and not the project, they will remain in the original project.
Kinda hard to wrap your head around at first, but you'll see that it makes perfect sense as you progress with the application.

Can I use APEX with express, standard, and enterprise editions of 10g and 11g?

Dreamweaver CS6 cloud - I can no longer use "Save As' and the Application manager won't open.

I always open an old page and use "save all" to save it, then "save as" and change the name of the page to what I want the new page to be the rewrite the new content. It doesn't open a box for name change any longer. Also The application manager does not open at all.
What to do to fix this?

Use of ODP and casual application freeze-up

I'm writing a small application which connects to MS SQL 2000 and Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 and transports data between them.
When it comes to biggest table which is called CLANKY, there is 11892 records with clob columns and fulltext index over it.
But during the transfer often happen that application stops on OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() and will not continue again. There is no specification of situation when it happen. It can happen on command which inserts, or on command launching stored procedure which retrieves ID of last inserted record through a trigger code which is storing it in variable. Sometimes it doesn't happen during transfer of CLANKY table, but most often there. Sometimes the application ends properly.
I've tried lot of things to make sure I'm doing everything right, but nothing help. I was closing and disposing all OracleCommands but it make it (subjectively) worse. I don't think that I'm doing something so complicated.
In memory I'm holding only Dictionary<int,int> of remapped ids.

I think it's caused by Oracle.DataAccess connectors. I've used a System.Data.OracleClient connector by Microsoft and it works well. And the code is doing the same INSERT and stored procedure call.

Currencies are discussed in the Setup and Configuration Guide here:
7.1.1.2 How to Configure Global Currencies
To configure the global currencies you want to report in your warehouse:
In the DAC Client, display the Design view.
For more information about logging into the DAC, see Section A.1, "How to Log Into the DAC Client".
Select a container from the drop down list to the right of the Execute button.
Display the 'Source System Parameters' tab.
Locate the following parameters and set the currency code values for them in the 'Value' box:
$$GLOBAL1_CURR_CODE (for the document currency).
$$GLOBAL2_CURR_CODE (for the local currency).
$$GLOBAL3_CURR_CODE (for the global currency).
Make sure that you spell the currencies as they are spelled in your source OLTP system.
Save your changes.
As far as for PLP items, those are Post Load Processing elements that perform cleanup tasks after the Base Warehouse tables have been loaded. They should never be modified and frankly run without any issues provided the rest of the plan executes properly. Do you have a specific quesiton about a PLP?

Using TextField.C_ANY and get application error

I'm working with com.jmobilecore in my projrct. My platform is Nokia S40 DP 2.0 SDK 1.0 and IDE is Netbeans.
I'm using C_ANY as TextField constraint.But while I press as many key at a time as input it shows application error and then exit from the application.
I'm using emulator for testing.

Yes, the language allows it, but your JSL quote is the 3rd edition, and Java 1.4 is based on the 2nd edition (the 2nd edition of the JSL does not go into such a deep explanation of the example shown, so thanks for that pointer). In any case, since the JSL does not address my specific issue, it is only superficially relevant (IMHO). The language allows it, but the behavior is unpredictable. I think that's what is sticking in my craw. I'm not sure what the behavior should be, but if I had to, I would propose that the behavior should not change when I change the inheritance qualifiers (again, in this particular case), but there may be other considerations.

The basic idea is a cached session factory, because session factories are expensive to build. We use multiple databases, so our incarnation of HibernateUtil compares the requested database to the one in a static factory variable. If they match, that factory is used. If they don't match, the thread switches to the requested factory and creates sessions from it.
The odd thing is that with the aforementioned inheritance "typo", it either detects that the requested database is the same as the one in the static factory (which is not true), or it returns the wrong factory (which is wrong). I want to emphasize that no other code changes were made (zero, zip, none, really, I mean it), and lots of other classes extend C1 (from the example) and they have never had this problem.

You might use the UTL_FILE-Package to create a file on the database server. But you must be aware of the following fact : UTL_FILE_DIR parameter must be set on the instance level pointing to the directory where you write the files on. The files will be owned by user "oracle".
