Weak Signal or No Service after upgrading firmware 1.1.2

I live in Los Angeles, Hollywood area, and for the past 2 months have had nothing but headaches with weak signal strength, no signal, dropped calls and slow data service. Sometimes the phone will have 5 bars then go down to zero bars or no signal without even moving! I think it must be the iphone/at&t service/software, since my friends on standard phones with AT&T seem to not have these issues.. I have seen on other message boards that other iPhone users around the country are experiencing similar issues...
No one seems to answer my question, "Could this problem be related to the Edge/3G combination have anything to do with this problem? The first 5 months of using the Iphone, I only noticed slight weak signal problems, generally related to having the wifi radio on. But this problem is occurring with wifi off. I have Reset the Phone, restored the phone, re-seated the SIM card, check to ensure SIM show no physical damage, all to no avail. You folks need to give me some real answers, and not just the standard we don't know. Now I must add there are some places like 6700 Hollywood Bl. where the signal is great both Voice and Data, but a 1700 N. Las Palmas the signal drops off to one bar, and at 1737 N. Las Palmas Av. it goes to No Service. Please help Please help!

Firstly, "we" folks here are iPhone users, just like yourself, not Apple employees (though there are a few who sometimes post here of their own volition, and not because they have to). So your problem will be answered or advised on depending on our own experiences with the iPhone. To that point, I am in the UK, and am one of those people who have suffered from exactly the same problem as you: my iPhone gets very poor reception in areas where other 02 (UK network) phones get near perfect reception. There is a rather long thread on this topic, and another similar one which was started when the original was locked by the mods. I'm afraid that after much troubleshooting, we are still no closer to finding the source of the problem. What seems pretty clear is that the iPhone antenna probably isn't as sensitive as those of other phones. Also, it's on the bottom of the phone, so can be covered with your hand causing a drop in signal strength. It may also be that in an attempt to conserve battery life, the iPhone doesn't boost the signal as much as it should. But there are all speculations at the moment.

On the setup page,reduce the MTU to 1400,Under the Wireless tab..Wireless Network mode should be mixed...Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box.Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Click on Advanced Wireless Settings...Change the Beacon Interval to 75,Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,RTS Threshold to 2304.
Now,reboot the router and check...

My iPad Mini Retina LTE got No Service after upgrade to IOS 8.1

After upgrading to IOS 8.1 my iPad Mini Retina lost GSM signal and No Service indication appears in top left screen.
Tried to reset, switch off without positive results.
With manual carrier search, my carrier is still in the options but no results.

Got the free 200MB/mo Tmobile sim and 4G works. LTE network connection seems fine. I get an LTE next to Tmobile on the status bar. But I get a message saying "Could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service." as soon as I try to use a browser.
With AT&T sim, 4G works just like Tmobile, but as soon as I switch on LTE, there is no network connection at all with "No Service" on the status bar and falls back to 4G after a while. So seems like something broke LTE even on 8.1.2.

E2000 - No internet after upgrading firmware

I believe after the product will be out of warranty they do offer programs that would let you extend the service of your router. Regarding your concern, you may need to reset your router and reconfigure it's settings. A reset is a must after every after upgrade. Push and hold the reset button using a pin or paper clip for 30seconds then power it off for another 10-15 seconds. Once the power light goes solid, you may start the reconfiguration. Celullar Data Lost or "No Service" after Upgrade iOS 8.1

Hello all member,
I've been using iPad4 for about 8 months.
This problem happened after I upgrade to iOS 8.0.2, after I upgraded to ios 8.0.2 my phone signal started "no service".
FirstIy, I think there is a problem with my sim card, and then I've replaced with some other sim card. But the problem still not solved.
Second opinion, i tried to Reset >> Network Setting. But the problem still there.
Last option, i tried to Full Reset but still find my celullar is "No Service"
For about 3 weeks, I get notification for iOS 8.1 and I upgraded it last night.
But the problem still exist, my cellular data connection still "No Service".
Is there anyone here who can help me?

Very bad signal on iPhone 4 after upgrade to IOS 6

After upgrading my iPhone 4 from IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 6, I started having lot of troubles with signal and signal strength: the phone is continuously switching form 3G to GPRS/Edge, signal strength is always bad, Internet access is almost unusable, and sometimes I can't even make phone calls or send text messages; even when it seems to have good 3G signal, as soon as I try to use it to do anything (even a phone call), 7 times out of 10 the signal drops.
This doesn't seem to depend on the places where I go, and anyway I know for sure I'm now having signal troubles in the exact same places where I had perfectly good signal before the IOS upgrade. I'm in Italy, my carrier is TIM, but again, it worked perfectly fine before the IOS upgrade.
Steps I tried to fix the issue:
Settings -> General -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Network -> Reset Settings
Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset network settings
Using iTunes: backup, reset (also downloading a fresh copy of the IOS image), restore from backup
Nothing seems to have worked.
I've been searching around, and it looks like many people have had similar problems after the IOS upgrade, although some of them seem also to have resolved it using some or all of the above steps; anyway, they were not enough for my phone.
Is there something else I can try? Is this a known IOS bug? Is Apple working on some fix?

Looks like the reset actually solved the issue. I posted the question soon after having done it, and the signal was still bad, but that was probably due to the place I was in. I've tested it for a whole day, and now signal strength is indeed like it was before upgrading to IOS 6.
I also called Apple support, and they confirmed is a known bug, and a full phone reset solves it.

Ipad wifi does not connect after upgrading firmware to 3.2.2

So many posts and replies on connection to wifi with iPad not working... My issue is that everyhing worked perfect a home until i upgraded firmware to latest (3.2.2?). Now it connects and disconnects in second intervals ??!!
no changes has been made to my router and my two macs connect as before, only iPad does not
Very frustrating indeed, so any tips on what i should do?

Firmware 6.05 WLAN problem after upgrade firmware ...

I just upgraded my firmware to 6.05 and now I cant connect to WLAN
it was working fine before then i upgraded firmware using OVI suite now no it prompts "WLAN connection failed"
- I have tried reinstalling firmware numerous times but it didnt solve the issue.

Is it happening in all WiFi networks you try to connect to ? Have you checked that you do not have any saved WiFi networks stored to the phone after the upgrade ?

Ios 7.1 no service after upgrade

I upgraded 2 Verizon 5s phones to IOS 7.1 using iTunes (from 2 different computers). Both phones seemed to complete normally but after upgrade neither phone was able to connect to the cellular network. I tried resetting network, then all settings, then cleared and reset all and still can't get a signal.
I know that some sprint users are also reporting issues.
Any ideas how widespread the issue is?

You probably need to do a soft reset.
Reset iPhone
Note: This will not delete any data.
To reset iPhone, hold down both the Home button and the Lock button until you the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears.
This should solve your problem.

We could create a proxy in vb.net and call our SAP web services like this:

After upgrading to nw ep 7.1, which looks like this.

What happened to the file numbers after switching to Photos. It would be nice to still have the file numbers show.
You mean, the filename with the number on the card?
Photos does not use the filenames as a title, when displaying the thumbnails. The filename will only show in the Info panel.
Copy the filenames to the title field in the Info panel and then enable "Metadata" in the View menu.
I wrote a script to copy the filenames automatically to the title field, see:

Serious Problem After Upgrading Firmware

After upgrading the firmware to my Airport Express, Airport Admin Utility doesn't recognize the base. The AE seems dead, the reset daes'nt work, but the lights still flash. Does anyone could help me?

When you say base, is the Airport Express your base or do you have another base station. If you have another base station, once you factory reset the Express, it no longer recognizes your wifi system. If your Express is your base and the only router in the system. Unplug it, take a paper clip or ball point pen. Push in the on the reset button, continue to hold the reset button in while plugging in the Express into your power outlet. Hold the button while the amber light flashes several times and then becomes solid. Then you can release the reset button and wait for the Airport to reinitialize. Then run your utility again scanning for the base which will show up identified by its factory ID, not what you named it before. When you bring it back into your system whether as a base station or extending the range of your computer name it a different name than you did before and use a different password.
