Web analyzer save as favorite

Hi ,
My client uses portal to access queries.... they want 3 reports to be saved as 1 and given option for to select... like 3 views which are assigned to a report which they can acess... how can i do it in web analyzer'

Hi
In WAD... use a tab pane and assing all the reports to that...or you can use the container and display them one below other....they may have scroll down to see.
You can place few variable buttons....Fiscal Year, Version....etc
and a "SAVE" button assinged with standard SAVE Function.

BEx Web Analyzer - SAVE AS button

Hi,
When you click on SAVE AS button in the BEx Web Analyzer, a pop-up window brings up with 3 tabs (Favorites, BEx Portfolio and My Portfolio). When you click on the BEx Portfolio, it brings the Portal KM Folders under "Public Documents" folder. That means, the BEx Portfolio here is pointing to "Public Documents" folder.
Could anyone please let me know HOW TO CHANGE THIS CONFIGURATION?
I want to point this to a new KM folder. Is this configuration done in Portal or SAP BW?

I search a long time, I can say you can't ! Public Documents is hardcoded into the webanalyser.
As workoround, I made some link into 'Public Documents' to other folders into the KM folder's strucure. So for each project, people can save documents into their own folder with their own access rights

Using WEB Analyzer SAVE and OPEN view in web templates?

Hi all,
The WEB Analyzer available with BW3.5 is a welcome alternative to BEX, so I'm trying to convert my existing WEB applications running BEX queries by adding functions such as OPEN and SAVE view.
I'm trying to do this by modifying my existing templates and adding the functions/object as they are used in 0ANALYZER, but I haven't got it working.
Is this the way to go? Can it be done in this way?

Trying to save a modified query in Web Analyzer

Good Morning,
We are beginning to work with the Netweaver 2004s Portal and its integration with BI. We have created a query using Query Designer and we are able to view it in the Portal's Web Analyzer using the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN Default Template. While I am in Web Analyzer, I have made modifications such as adding Free Chars. to the query. After my modifications I click on the Save AS button in Web Analyzer. The screen that appears only allows me to enter a Description and not a Technical Name. Once I do this, I receive an error saying I need a technical name.
We are currently running Netweaver 04s SP6 for BI and BI-JAVA. Has anyone ran into this issue?

We have not yet had this issue. Could we exchange, eventually separately on your architecture and installation. We are wondering on which configuration install BI-Java (separate server, separate DB, same server ?)

Unable to open a query view in web analyzer

Hi All
In web analyzer i have saved a Query view, Using save as tab.
when i tried to open that Query view through open tab in web analyzer it is throughing some exceptional error.
Is this the right way to access the saved query view, can anyone help me with your suggestion?

How to increase the number of rows to be displayed in BEx Web Analyzer

hi,
I am viewing reports using BEx Web analyzer option. It is displaying only 24 rows of data at a time. How to increase the number of rows? do i need to any kind of settings?

Hi,
I think the standard template in 2004s is named 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN. You can find it in Web Application Designer, open, and search for the technical name. If you want to change the number of rows or columns, you can find this setting near the bottom of the XHTML view of the template:
<bi:BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE value="4" />
<bi:BLOCK_ROWS_SIZE value="17" />
Then just save, and ignore the error messages.

In web analyzer I have saved a view through context menu -- save view. but in open window I am unable to find saved view. Can any one help me to know how to open it.

Error - opening a web query from my favorite or roles

I am trying to open a query saved as web query from my favorite folder or user menu. I got error when processing the request. Below is the detailed error.

We are also having the same issue. We are in BI 7 SP 15.
Is there any way to find the relation between the Bookmark ID and Query name? The favorite link is not working and getting the above error message. We are also not able to identify the query related to this favorite / bookmark link. Is there any table to identify for query and Bookmark?

Export to Excel in Web Analyzer: Change description

In Web Analyzer we have a button Export to Excel. When we click that button the report gets downloaded in to excel. By default the excel sheet will be saved as example 0Analysis_Pattern-87.
Is there any way, by default when i click on export to excel button, excel should save either by query description or by query technical name.
Where do i make such a setting.

Only one name can be kept while expoting to excel.
You may try bradcast option from your portal, There if you will choose format as excel and send then it will take the technical name of the report as file name.

Query Selection Screen does not appear in Web Analyzer

Hi Experts,
Query Selection Screen appears when we open the query in Bex Analayzer in production system. But when we open the query in ABAP or JAVA Web view, the selection screen does not appears.
As the volume of data in the cube is very high, and since the selection screen is not appearing, the query extracts 1.5Mrecords and results in dump.
Kindly let me know the possibility for selection screen not appearing.
Note: The selection screen appear in Development system in Bex Analyzer, ABAP View and Java View

You can check if the parameter &VARIABLE_SCREEN=X is added to standard template or not, If not add this,
In order to add this parameter in the webtemplate you have to change 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and save it as ZANALYSIS_PATTERN and enter this standard web template under TCODE RSCUSTV27.
Also I would like to explain you the behavior of Web Analyzer,
Parameter VARIABLE_SCREEN=X only influences the WEB application at startup. This will not come into affect
when you use the 'New Analysis' button. The 'New Analysis' button resets the dataprovider so this would not
affect the variable screen and would not redisplay the variable screen as you require.

BI 7 Portal - BEx Web Analyzer- URL used is not fully qualified.

I have a problem while accessing BEx Web Analyzer on BI 7 Portal. When I select "Business Intelligence" -> "BEx Web Analyzer". This is ending up with a 500 Internal Server Error
Error Description

A fully-qualified URL has a schema with the format "<protocol>://server.company.com:<port>". URLs with the format "<protocol>://server:<port>" or "<protocol>://<ip address>:<port>" are not fully qualified. See SAP Notes 581329, 596698 and 654326

As per my understanding there should be a parameter which holds the portal link in JAVA Engine.(http://hostname.domain:50000/)

ur questions 1 and 2 should be directed to portal administrator at ur firm..
as u r trying to change the lay out when user presses New analysis.
again in 2 u want to default the saving to favourites folders.
3. if u save a view and later u try to open or run another query ..
for e.g. in ur saved view of query1 the time period is 1/07-12/07
now u r running some query x which has time 1/08-4/08
and now if u try to open ur view of query-1 then it will take the time period of 1.08---4.08
but if u open bookmark it will bring it to u the xact screen and xact time variables with which u save query1

BEx Web Analyzer send buttion

Dear all,
We are on NetWeaver 2004s BI SP11. I have activated the web templates starting with 0ADHOC from BI content. From BEx Web Analyzer, if I click on send buttion, I see screen consisting four tabs and buttons like save view, export to excel, and export to csv..etc. But when click on those button either an empty popus comes up or nothing happens. Am I missing anything. Please advise.

I instaled version 29 a few days ago. Since that time I cannot anymore:
- subscribe to a Web page as a favorite
- save all my favorites
Is there a solution or should I try to reinstall the previous version 28 whch was just fine ?

Hi John,
Open the Web Application Designer.
Open the 0Analysis_Pattern file. (This is the default template for Web Analyzer)
On Properties panel select Analysis(Grid)
Select Web Item Parameters Tab
Look for Paging section.
On Number of Data Columns displayed at once change from 4 to 16
On Number of Data Rows displayed at once change from 10 to 100
Finally Save the 0Analysis_Pattern file.
The 0Analysis_Pattern is included in the Business Content. So, if necesary you can recover the original version.

This is the issue which I am facing while working with SharePoint 2010. In a sharePoint 2010 document library I am having an excel file and I am trying to open it from Windows 7 and is office 2010.
I cam e across few suggestion as mentined below but unable to find the location where to do
Go to Resource Policies > Web >
Rewriting > Custom Headers > (if 'Custom Headers' is not visible, click
Customize on the right top to enable the view).
Create a new policy with the Resource as <fully qualified domain name of the SharePoint server:*/*> (for example https://sharepoint.juniper.net:*/* ).
Create the action as Allow Custom Headers.
Apply the settings to the required roles.
Please suggest.

All things you have to do is as follows:
1. Open regedit.exe
2. Naviagate to following key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Internet]
3. Click Edit Menu -> New -> DWORD with name of "FSSHTTPOff"
(without quotes)
4. Click on "FSSHTTPOff" and enter value of 1
5.
Close any Office Applications and browser sessions
6. Try to reopen your document (no more read only or failure to upload)
