Web Dynpro Navigation to previous screen

Hello all,
We have a requirement of displaying a Adobe form using Web-Dynpro for ABAP. This is perfectly fine and is done. Now it is like we have 2 Views in a Web-Dynpro
1. Main
2. Adobe Form display
On the 1st Page user is asked to enter certain details and then he can navigate from 1st page to the display of Adobe form. Form is also being displayed on the 2nd View. All this is absolutely fine and working.
Issue: We want to navigate back to the Main View from the Adobe form view. I have done all the required settings of plug and the navigation link from 2nd to 1st view. However, its not working at all..
I have also tried putting a break point on the button event but some how the event itself is not getting triggered. I am not able to figure out the problem as otherwise navigation is working fine with the normal web-dynpro screens.
Please help.
Regards,
Kunjal

Hi Arjun,
Thanks for the reply...
No the control is not passed to the ONACTIONBACK event as well...
This is what is creating confusion in my mind about some settings missing for the Navigation.
However, I have done following settings in the web-dynpro:
1. Define out-plug in the 2nd view.
2. Define in-plug in 1st view.
3. create navigation link in the window between 2nd view and 1st view.
4. In the Action on the button define the call to the out-plug... (in 2nd View).
Yes, it is Framework Controlled....
Please let me know if something is missing for the navigation to work.

Kunjal

  • Is it possible to integrate web dynpro java  with xPD screens?

    We have a requirement to integrate the xPD screens with Adobe using web dynpro java. The UI has to be completely Adobe and the xPD transactions would be triggered through Adobe.
    Is it possible?? Please let me know how if anyone worked on this.
    We are using SAP NW SP12 and NWDS 7.0.1
    Thank you,
    Vasu

    Vasu,
    I'm in the same boat as you because I have no idea where to start either.  Right now we are just evaluating some possible solutions for our UI needs that our Business is asking for.  Originally I only heard about the Adobe Forms.  Then I heard about this Web Page Composer which could also provide us a way to display our iViews and other links in a more user friendly page.
    So learning how to display xPD in either area is new to me and I am just starting to learn SAP all together.  If I hear anything or read anything, I will share with you.  Maybe we can help each other out.

  • Web Dynpro navigation

    Hi all,
    I would like read my content view into the method "onactionlink" linked to my outbound plug and pass it into a variable like this:
    data: lo_view     type ref to if_wd_view.
    Is there anyone that can suggest me the code to use please?
    Thanks
    GN

    Hello,
    In the method WDOMODIFYVIEW associate the parameter VIEW to an attribute of the view with the type IF_WD_VIEW (create an attribute in tab attributes of the view).
    Define an parameter in the outbound plug with type ref to IF_WD_VIEW and in the method onactionlink pass the view attribute created to the parameter of the plug (wd_this->m_view).

  • Web DynPro - Navigation to Tabstrips

    Hi All,
    I have a view that has Tabstrips, around 6 tabstribs.
    When I am in an Sales Order Tab all the sales orders are listed. I select one sales order and click display details button.
    When I do this I need to move automatically to Search Tab and in the search tab the sales order number should be populated and results should be displayed.
    I could populate the sales order number and display the results in the Search Tab, but don't know how to navigate automatically to Search Tab from Sales Order Tab.
    I don't want to navigate to that tab manually.
    Please let me know how to navigate from one Tab to another Tab automatically
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Where are you setting the SELECT_TAB attribute value.
    In the Display Details button of the Salesorder tab, you write the code setting the tab.
    Create an action handler ONACTIONSELECT_TAB.

  • Authentication Screen when accessing Web Dynpro Application

    Hi,
    We are encountering a situation wherein when we call the Web dynpro application, it asks for Authentication. The way we do is a bit tricky. We have the following set up;
    1. We access the CRM_IC ( Web Gui) in CRM and from where we try to create orders  in the backend system i.e., ECC6.0 (IS_Utilities).
    2. For creating orders we launch the FOP ( in our case it is DYNPRO) from CRM. So ECC screen is opened through ITS using SSO.
    3. In addition to this we built a web dynpro application to be called from the DYNPRO (step 2).
    4. When the Web dynpro application is accessed it asks for Login details though it has already logged into ECC using SSO.
    PROBLEM: CRM -- using ITS / SSO --> ECC --> Web dynpro ?? Authentication screen.
    Design:
    We are using WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE to open the Web dynpro in SAPGUI. It is working fine when we run the Web dynpro application from SAPGUI, only the problem is when we do the above steps 1 - 4.
    Tried using the following logic as well but the same result.
    CREATE OBJECT viewer EXPORTING parent = empty_container.
    CALL METHOD viewer->enable_sapsso
    CALL METHOD viewer->DETACH_URL_IN_BROWSER
    EXPORTING url = urlc.
    cl_gui_cfw=>flush( ).
    So is it possible to over come the problem. Basically, we don't want the Authentication screen it should use SSO.
    SSO is already set up in the system.
    Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Roopesh

  • Can ABAP web dynpro floor plan manager integrate with adobe flex ?

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to integrate Web dynpro ABAP with adobe flex ?
    Can we integrate the standard ABAP web dynpro floor plan manager screen with adobe flex ?
    Brief about my requirement: I have refer few articals about  ABAP web dynpro is easyely integrate with adobe flex. My client is currently implementing SRM 7.0 for procure to pay process. For your information, standard SRM 7.0 are developed in ABAP Web dynpro floorplan manager. In my client,other processess such as order to cash, resource management etc screen are designed in Web dynpro Java(deployed in SAP EP) to make it more user friendly and good in resolution. My client is very much happy with SRM  7.0 business logic, however not happy with the standard SRM screen. They have asked to redesign SRM screen to make it more user friendly and good in resolution.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Call a external vendor catalog - OCI In ECC using web dynpro

    Hello Everyone,
    We have a requirement to call a OCI External Catalog in ME51n Transaction in ECC, that is working fine.
    Now we need to create a Web dynpro ABAP Application which performs the Task of ME51n Transaction along with OCI Integration.
    So far i have create a small Web dynpro ABAP application to check does OCI Catalog can be integrated in ECC using web dynpro ABAP.
    My Screen Consit of a single Button UI, on click of the button i am calling the External Catalog, from the catalog i select all the materials and click on submit finally we need to bring all the selected materials to get displayed ina table.
    Half of the Development is done i.e i am able to call the catalog but not able to receive the selected materials.
    following are the details-
    1. I check in SRM first how the Ctalogs are been called, i found 2 Services responsible for the same in SICF transaction -
    Inbound HLDR and Outbound HLDR which uses handler class as SAPSRM_CL_CH_WD_INBOUND_HDLR and SAPSRM_CL_CH_WD_OUTBOUND_HDL, so i copied the same classes into ECC and created the same SICF Service.
    Contn. in next post

    2.In my Web Dynpro ABAP application i have a Inbound plug in my window in the  handler method of the inbound plug i fill a table lt_parameters of  TYPE tihttpnvp, it has 2 columns name and value
    In this table i fill following entries-
    Name-CATALOG_URL
    Value-https://XXXXXXXX.com/invoke/BVProcess.SAPOCI/processCatalogRequest
    Name-USERNAME
    Value-XXXXXXXX
    Name-PASSWORD
    Value-XXXXXXXX
    NAME  = 'HOOK_URL'.
    VALUE = 'http:/XXXXX.hostederp.local:8000/sap/ZOTC_CAT/Zinbound_hdlr'."?TARGET_URL= {Appdress of the WDA Apllication}
    NAME  = 'OCI_VERSION'.
    VALUE = '4.0'.
    NAME  = 'OPI_VERSION'.
    VALUE = '1.0'.
    NAME  = 'returntarget'.
    VALUE = _top
    also in this inbound plug handler method i fill a lv_url variable of type string with-
    lv_url = 'http://XXXXXX.hostederp.local:8000/sap/ZOTC_CAT/Zoutbound_hdlr?sap-client=100&sap-language=E'.
    3. finally from the handler method of the inbound plug i call a Suspend plug p[assing the above two variables i.e
    lt_parameters and  lv_url.
    wd_this->fire_zw_suspend_plg( url =    lv_url   i_parameter_tab = lt_parameters ).
    4. Using above i cam able to call the catalog and select the materials.
    5. Now if i Finally clcik on submit on the catalog it should return the materials to the WDA Application.
    For WDA Application to accept the Materials i have created a resume plug in which i am using -
    wdr_task=>server->request->get_form_fields( CHANGING fields = lt_fields ). to get all the selected materials into lt_fields.
    6. But unfortunately i am unable to receive the selected materials in lt_fields.
    I think i am missing something in Hook URL or some other parameter.
    Please help, ur comments and suggestions are welcome.

  • Window Navigation In Web Dynpro ABAP

    In one of our requirements we would have to make use of the suspend plug in Web Dynpro Abap. Would anyone happen to have any other information on this topic. Is there a sample program available which demonstrates the same?
    The requirement is that, I have to call an external window (output screen) from my present screen (input screen). While this external window is active, the calling window (input screen) should be disabled. When the external window (output screen) is closed the input screen should be enabled again. I have read that suspend/resume plugs can be used for this. However, I have not been able to figure out how to use them.
    As a starting point, it would help if I can find out how navigation between two windows (not views) can be achieved.

    You can enable and disable a view at least programmatically by binding the enabled property of all elements to one context variable and setting this to false when you navigate and back to true when you come back.
    With these special plugs I haven't worked at time.

  • Selection Screen in Web Dynpro Application

    Hi,
    I have to develop one application, in which I need to create first view as Selection Screen and second as result screen,
    Please advise how to create selection screen in ABAP web dynpro?
    Thanks!
    Piyush

    I am not sure whether your requirement is like this or not:
         (1).In 1st screen, there are a few input fields which you can input the value as what you want.
         (2). After you input your data, you press "Enter" or press the Button(if in your view there is one button), then 2nd screen will be displayed to show the result, which is retrieved from DB using the selection/Condition in 1st screen.
    This is just simple in WD4A.
    A little summary:
         (1).In 1st view, you can bind your input fields with the context.
         (2).In the "Enter" event or "Button" action, you can "Fire the outbound plug" which is navigated to the "Inbound plug" of 2nd view
         (3).In the "WDDOINT" of 2nd view, you can use the 1st-view's Context(You can declare the context in component controller, and map it in 1st and 2nd views), then Retrieve data from DB or other places.
    I think, you can take a reference to the Document "Net 310", which is the standard course of WD4A.
    Goodluck.Best wishes!

  • Trigerring BPM from Web Dynpro screen not working

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to trigger a BPM process from a Web Dynpro screen so I created a BPM process and created a WSDL and consuming the WSDL in the Web Dynpro app but getting an exception "Exception on creation of service metadata for web service mass config parameters service reference ID '28af57ab-9212-4ffd-90c6-0779c78a8da3' and application name 'demo.sap.com/testwd'. Check mass configuration has been done properly."
    Please assist with what I am missing.
    Thanks,
    -Ash

    I ran into the same error when attempting to consume a Process as a web service from my Web Dynpro component.  I found that it is actually succeeding in kicking off my process, but it looks like it fails from my calling component.  It seems to be related to calling a service meant to be asynchronous as a synchronous service.  In my case, it throws a SOAP fault "com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.SOAPFaultException: Process start has been triggered" when I run it from the WS Navigator manually.  It turns out that the same error is getting wrapped by the exception you were experiencing.  Try using the getCause method to see if the same is true for you.  This environment is still new to me so I don't have good solution on how to make it not throw that error in the first place.
    [addendum] I ran across [this|Start BPM Process Trigger - Read timed out] thread that explains exactly what I had guessed.  You can remove the response part of your WSDL and it will get called successfully in an asynchronous manor.  Note that you must manually remove some of the entries in the WSDL since the visual editor with the 7.1 environment doesn't clean up after itself as well as it should.

  • UWL - Records not getting into LeaveRequestApproval web dynpro screen

    Hi,
    We are on EP7 sp9 and ECC 6.0. We are working with UWL. In UWL, we downloaded the standard XML file and done changes for removing the other tabs except the 'Tasks' tab and also placed the refresh button on main screen. It looks fine. Now, the problem is the web dynpro screen is not pulling data from backend. Previously, when we click on 'LeaveRequestApproval' work item, we use to get ITS screen. at backend we did changes in SWFVISU transaction to get web dynpro popup screen when user clicks on 'LeaveRequestApproval' work item. We could able to get the popup web dynpro screen, but it is not pulling any records from backend.
    Now, let us know where we are doing mistake? do we need any more configuration at backend? If so, let us know the work around for it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Raj.

    Hi,
    But are you able to see the labels, buttons etc ? Or is it that the entire page itself is not visible ?
    Please check the log file and see what is the error you get there ? Or probably check on the backend side if there is a dump.
    You can also check with the debugger on the backend side...see what exactly happens on the backend when the page is getting loaded.
    Cheers,
    Sunil

  • Web Dynpro: several navigation links connect to one outbound plug of a view

    Hi,
    I have two questions in general Web Dynpro. (I have not found precise answer for the question yet)
    1) What should happen in the following case?
    We have three views in a component. The outbound plug of the first view is connected to the inbound plug of the second and third view via navigation links. Which view should appear, if i fire the outbound plug of the first view?
    Some documentation says, this case is not allowed, some documentation says it is allowed...
    2) If the previous case is allowed, what should happen in the following case?
    In a child component, a window outbound plug is connected to a view inbound plug. Beside this, I implement an inbound plug of the window, where i fire this outbound plug of the window.
    Now, the interface view is embedded into a parent component window. In the parrent component I connect the outbound plug of the interface component to an inbound plug of a parent view (which is also embedded into the window). I also connect an outbound plug of the parent view to the interface view inbound plug.
    What will happen if I fire the parent view outbound plug? Will the parent view or child view appear?

    Hi Huszar,
    I'm a newbie and found your question interesting. So I played a little with this issue and hope I found something to help you.
    But  I wonder in why you want to use such a constellation the first place. What is your purpose? For me the idea itself doesn't make much sense... Did you by chance actually think of one of the following purposes:
    You want two different action elements (e.g. 2 buttons) to fire different conenctions. Then you should use different outbound plugs. Connect the two buttons and the two links to different methods so that the corrsponding plug and button have the same method.
    You want to decide by value or state which view to show. Then you should use two different outbound plugs as well and decide in the button's event handler mehtod which plug to fire , e.g.: if <condition> then <firePlugA> else <firePlugB>.
    Generally, if you connect two views in a window via link you must chose a method to use or create a button. If you chose a method (event handler) the effect in the Java file is that the  method (onActionButtonX()) will call the corresponding firePlugOut-method.
    Unfortunately in the firePlug-method itself there was no hint about the plug's destination. As I connected the same method for button and two plug targets, Web Dypro for no obvious reason always chose the same target. I did not find a possibility to directly chose the target from one outbound plug, so I guess this information is stored somewhere in the background logic.
    Did I get the point or did you think of something completely different? Or maybe you just asked theoretically? In that case I don't seem to get the idea.
    Kind regards,
    Jana

    Check if node is available, also check the name of the node. Maybe a typo  (fligth_list, or flight_lits, or...)somewhere.
