Web Forms Number Field - Not processing decimals!

We have created a monster web form on a clients site. As it is, we have had to setup an API to deal with the data after its been generated by BC and modify it before sending it on to the client. The client saw no reason for fields that did not have anything entered against them to be sent through in the workflow notification - and I agreed.
Now after all these other problems have been resolved, I discover that all my "number" fields cannot process a decimal place, and they round up or down. BC have suggested I need to recreate the form and just make them all 'text strings'.
Not good enough. Its an EPIC form with over 100 fields in it. We, in good faith, read the instructions that can be found here: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/478/bc_478.html?bc-partner
that state "Number - a text box that must have a number entered into it". No note about NOT using decimals!
The confusing thing is, it lets you enter the decimal from the front end, even displays the web form confirmation page correctly with decimals. But when it creates a case in BC, it rounds the numbers. So its only at this late testing stage that we have discovered the issue
Does anyone have any ideas about faster ways of re-creating this entire form ?
I did submit a support ticket, and was told to switch to the old UI and then just change the type of the fields. But when we try to change a form field from 'number' to 'string' it brings up the message "WARNING: Field updated successfully but type not changed as field has associated values.". Then they said to:
Copy that specific webform change the type fields of the form and then remove the old webform and re-name this one copy with the first webform name. The copy option is available under the link I have provided to you.
However this still means we need to change *all* the fields and then get every field' s ID and insert it into the javascript. Very very time consuming
So A) everyone else be warned and B) Does anyone have a shortcut?

Thanks for confirming my fears
Its a shame that since its such a long standing thing, it hasnt actually been added to the knowledgebase... which when we started this project (long before this schmozzle of a new system was introduced) was the most relevant place to look. When I start something, I tend to look in the KB.... not think "oh perhaps I should check the FAQ's in case there is a long standing issue that isnt contained in the KB".

You can't. Number type field is there for storing integers. 999,999,999,999
is not an integer. You need to use text string. Unless you're using the
field inside the search form, in which case you need to use JavaScript to
format the content of the field on the frontend.

Operation number field not appearing in the billing document

Team-
Recently we have done EHP5 upgrade and after that operation number field is available in the sales document but operation number field is not available in the billing document. Any idea why ?

Check what patches have been put in EHP5.As it is related to field.,its better to check the configuration settings and if everything is fine then,its better to take your technical team help by checking where the operation number field is getting updated in the sales order and check whether the operation number field is coming blank in billing document or not.

Web Form :Number of rows and columns

Hi All,
I have a web form with many rows and columns . Is it possible for a user to view only a limited rows in the form ? Not using Adhoc/Analyze option . since there are formula rows which wont appear in Analyze grid.
The user want to see only 5 to 10 random rows in the form ? How to do this ?
Please help.

I remember an option in 11.1 which allows users to dynamically add rows and I cannot find that in 11.1.2.2
I think the user will have to always update the user variable to what he want to see.

Service Tax Registration Number field not found in FD01 under CIN Details

I am using R3 - ECC5
T Code - FK01 / FK02 / FK03.
Can you guys tell me
1. I am not able to view the field "Service Tax Registration Number" under the "Sales Tax Tab" in customer master. Can you tell me how to populate the "Service Tax registration number" field under - Customer Master - Additional details - CIN Details - SalesTax.
2. Also in one System the above Tab name is "Sales Tax/Service Tax" where I am able to also view the "Service Tax Registration Number" field. But in the R3 System where I am not able to view the "Service Tax Registration Number" Field the Tab name is just "Sales Tax". Can you tell me how to change this Tab Name to "Sales Tax / Service Tax".

Number fields not lining up with heading.

I add a number field to my report.
The heading and field are right justified and lined up using a guideline.
When I preview the report, the number and heading are not lined up.

Greetings Linda, if you are having problems with the guide lines you better remove them and align the objects manually or you can make use of grid and snap the objects to the grid. These options are available in u201Cviewu201D menu. I hope this solves your problem.

Adobe form - Text field not getting saved.

Hi All,
We created an application in which user will enter the data and submit it . The details entered in the screen will be saved in the Ztable.
Our problem is when the user enters the data in the TextField UI of the adobe form it is not getting saved in the table. In development its working fine.
In production for few users it is getting saved and for few users it is not getting saved.
We are not able to find out the root cause of the problem.
Any help will be appreciated

Then you need to check Adobe reader installed for users who are having problem.

I have installed Forms6i, Forms Server 6i, and JInitiator. When I followed the instruction to run the Web Form Tester. it only opened an empty browser screen. Help. Thanks in advance.

Personalizaed Amount Number field Not showing in proper order

Hi,
I have personalized the table RN where I have added a Column of Amount field.
Now when I view the Region the amount filed appears as Right aligned
Ex : 182699 right aligned
but it should be : 182699 left aligned
properties I set for that filed are
ID : Amount
Datatype : NUMBER
prompt : Amount
View Instance : OppAmountVO1
View attribute : Amount
And one more thing is that the personalized items are not affeted by the system profile values.
like Standard amount filed displays 182699.00
but personalized item display 182699 with out the decimals what might be the reason.
How to over come this kind of issues

If you want to make it left aligned then change the Data type of the item to VARCHAR and you will be able to see the number in right align format.

DATE/TIME field in SNC Web UI - time field not visible in UI

Typically DATE/TIIME field in SNC web UI comes with two separate fields, one for the date (DD.MM.YYYY) and the other
for TIME (HH:MM:SS). I need to add an additional date field in the ASN screen in web UI. I was able to add the date field, but the time field doesnt appear adjacent to it. I used the interface method /SCF/IF_EX_UIMDL_APPCUST ~GET_FRM_DATA(BADI /SCF/UIMDL_APPCUST).
I tried with copying the entries for the Delivery Date -
       DATA element assignment

Looking this post http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/a_timehour_selector_in_adf_fac , indeed there's this possibility in af:inputDate. However, this post talks about adf bc, I think in your case it will be enougth to set an af:convertDateTime with the mask something like this: yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss

Adobe Interactive Form text field not editable

Hello,
I created an Adobe Form using transaction SFP and placed a textfield on the body page.
I then created a Web Dynpro application using SE80, placed Interactive Form container on the view. I also checked the flag 'Enabled' and provided the templateSource as my Adobe Form name.
When I test the WD application, the text field is not editable.
Can you please advise what needs to be done?

Not all form's fields not saving

I have created a form from a blank PDF sheet.
I have saved the form and enabled usage rights for Adobe reader.
When I open the form in reader, it indicates I can save the form. If I fill in the form, and save it, it seems to work as intended. When I re-open the file, only 20% of the fields appear. I cannot see the previous data, even if I select the field.
If I save the form in as a text file all of the entered data is saved properly.
Basically the form is not saving ALL of the entered data.
What might be the problem?

There are unnamed text fields in your table. This is the reason when you re-open the form, no data is remerged back in, because there is no field name to match with. Column cells under the headers,
Power Output:, ERP:, Antenna Height (Meters):, and Emission Designator(s):
all suffer from this problem.
The fix would be to give these table cells names.

I am developing one form for leave request.
Now i have created two tables..
1. Employee detail
2.Leave detail
Now i am creating form based on leave detail right now.
This table is taking reference of Employee Detail table as reference table.(employee no is foreign key in Leave detail table).
Now in form based on Leave detail table,i have taken employee name as combo field,now when i select any employee name,based on employee name other realated detail from employee detail table also i can populate in form based on Leave detail table.
Is it possible.?As i am not able to add any field or button other than which is already there in table(Leave Detail table)

You can in fact add another field which is not connected to any column to in the Leave table. Give it any name. Make sure that the checkboxes "updatable" and "insertable" are NOT checked, otherwise the form will try and include it in its SQL statements to update/insert data.
You then have to use the "Additional PL/SQL" tab - "before form is displayed" section on the form to fill in the value of the field. Use code like
p_session.set_value(
p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
p_attribute_name => 'A_<your field name>',
p_value => <your value>);
p_session.save_session;
where
- p_session is available in most custom PL/SQL blocks - It refers to a portal stored session that is used to store all the internal variables.
- block_name is either DEFAULT for simple forms or MASTER or DETAIL for master/detail forms
- p_attribute_name is the name of the field you want to set BUT (very important) prefixed with A_
- p_value is the actual value - here you will use your pl/sql variable.

Sales Order-Line Item Number Field not Appearing

I have an issue in which, in sales order, the field where I enter material, I am not able to see the line item number.
For example; if the Material X is entered, I cannot see the item number as 10.

Check item category determination (VOV4) whether the item category is determine with the combination of material item
category group,untill the material being read by the system it will not give the line item no,and also check at VOV8 for your doc
type Item no.increment Ex: 10, is maintained or not ,if not maintain and try.
