  • Web gallery "tell a friend" link not working properly

    hi there,
I want to use the tell a friend link in iphoto to point people to a new photo gallery that I posted to my mobileme gallery. But when I select the appropriate web gallery and click on the tell a friend icon in iphoto, it creates an email that introduces mobileme, and doesn't have any of the information about my web gallery with links and a thumbnail, etc.
    help!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You're not seeing what's in the top of this screenshot in your email window?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Aperture Web Gallery - Adding Shopping Cart

    Hi,
If I am using the Web Gallery feature in Aperture to create sites and I want there to be an add to cart button on each "large image page" (the page that appears when you click a thumbnail), how can I edit the template that Aperture uses to create the site so that it includes this add to cart button?
    Where are the templates stored?

    found it:

  • Photoshop Web Gallery won't link

Hello everyone. I'm trying to upload my Photoshop web gallery to an email and have had no luck. The gallery gets processed fine and works properly on my desktop but when I try to link it thru mac mail I get a dialog box that says "Cannot send message using the server aol.com" Anybody had this problem? I could really use the help. Thanks

You can select different file sizes in the gallery's Setting pane so that you can get it published and viewers can download quicker and easier.

  • Better to post photos and video to web gallery than to add to the page?

    Hi there
Is it better to post video and photos to web gallery than it is to put directly on the web page? If so, how do you make the link on the web to the gallery?
    Thanks
    Carl

If you publish your web gallery from iPhoto and link it to your site you have a number of options.
Select your album and from the Share drop down menu select "Web Gallery".
A popup gives you the following options:
    Allow:
    Album viewable by everyone.
Allow Downloading of photos or entire album.
    Adding of photos by email.
    Show:
    Photo titles.
    Email address for uploading.

  • Email link error

    CentOS 5.2
Postfix 2.3.3 (comes packaged with OS)
    Dovecot 1.1.1
    DW CS3
Did a fresh install and created a new web site:
    http://www.imwell-usa.com.
The web site has an email link for 'Contact Us'. When I CLICK on
this link to send/test an email (from Win XP PC), I get the
    following error:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server
    responded: 5.7.1
[email protected]: Relay excess denied. Please check
the message recipient and try again.
I have read both Postfix & Dovecot documentation and have
followed their installation instructions. I am told on the Postfix
FORUM that I need to install email "Client" software on my PC.
Well I use both MS Outlook & Thunderbird &
send/receive emails from both of them without problem. What do I
need to do? Did I mention that I am new to DW CS3 and LINUS in
    general!
You can try sending an email from:
    http://www.imwell-usa.com/contact_us.html
    page and see the error.
Please let me know what change I need & then I can study
    the setting on my own.
    Thanks,
    Kirti

You are in the wrong forum. This is a Dreamweaver forum that
deals with web design/development issues. Your problem has nothing
to do with a web page. The problem is with your mail server.
Someone here may be able to assist, but you are better off posting
to a forum that deals with configuration details of your mail
    server.
    >You can try sending an email from: >
    http://www.imwell-usa.com/contact_us.html
    >page and see the error.
That page simply contains a mailto link. It doesn't matter if
the user clicks on that link or types the address in manually.
Again, the problem is not with the web page or Dreamweaver. It's a
    mail server configuration problem.
That really should be obvious to someone trying to operate
    their own web server.

  • Email link - link problem on events and blog pages

I added a email link on a master page - link works properly on all except blog pages and events pages -
on these pages it links to http://www.h2oonstone.com/mailto:[email protected]  which brings up a bad request
the link on my celebration page works Celebration | Water on Stone Productions | Art, Music, Magic
but on the individual events pages they don't - example National Wildlife Day -
also doesn't work on blog main Water on Stone Watershed
or on the individual pages  Smoothie Love | Watershed | Water on Stone Productions

    Hi Sanjit -
The workaround works - but - I had to fix it on the events and e-commerce templates too - and the error template as well.
The problem is is that every time I make a change and upload the muse file I will have to modify these html pages and that is unsustainable… way too much work as I will be modifying the pages frequently till I have site completed.
Also strange - on the Blog pages that when I reimplemented the email link (on the master page)  that the normal state does not remain white but defaults to a black - which I suspect has to do with the link default states. I haven't been able to fix this today.
All the other buttons - with links off-site maintain the states and links work.
    Thanks, Ann

  • Email button or menu Email Link does not work. Firefox 29.0 on Linux Mint 13

Neither the Email Link menu option under File nor the Email Button installed from the customise menu option when placed on the tool bar work.
Thunderbird 24.5.0 is the email client both installed on Linux Mint 13 with latest updates.
Nothing happens at all when on a web page and the email link is clicked or the envelope icon is clicked.
    Help appreciated.
    Regards
    Cavemann

    Hello
The Preferred applications menu list showed Thunderbird as the email program but it did not link the email button to firefox.
I had to eventually go to the Firefox preferences and in Applications, Thunderbird was not listed. So I selected Other and browsed to the filesystem / Usr/Bin and selected the Thunderbird icon which then put Thunderbird in the Firefox Applications options for email.
The email link / button then worked.
Now I have to sort out the link for emailing photos from Picasa as this does not work either
    Thanks for help

  • Auto fill subject with an Email link in CS4 Bridge flash web gallery

Is there a way to autofill the subject line of the email link in the CS4 Bridge flab web galleries? I can do it if I use the html gallery, but I prefer the look of the flash galleries.
If I open the "group.xml" file I see code for me email link, exp.:  <contactEmail>maillto:[email protected]</contactEmail>
I tried adding the "?subject=My Subject" like I would on an html file but that didn't work. I was hoping for some suggestions.
    Thanks!

I want it to work on the click of a mouse: when I run or test the page the email comes up immediately. Here is what I have so far:
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("mailto:mailto:[email protected]?subject=yoursubject&body=your message"));
    /* Mouse Click Event
Clicking on the specified symbol instance executes a function in which you can add your own custom code.
    Instructions:
    1. Add your custom code on a new line after the line that says "// Start your custom code" below.
The code will execute when the symbol instance is clicked.
    button_3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_MouseClickHandler_6);
    function fl_MouseClickHandler_6(event:MouseEvent):void
         // Start your custom code
// This example code displays the words "Mouse clicked" in the Output panel.
         trace("Mouse clicked");
         // End your custom code
So how do I get the email to open ONLY when the mouse clicks on the link??

  • Adding a link to web gallery

hi, i have an iWeb homepage that links to an aperture web gallery. is there anyway to put a link in the aperture web gallery that links back to my iWeb homepage? thanks. (running aperture 1.5 if that makes any difference)
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I have managed to open the page in an html editor, but unfortunately, to keep the style constant, it means a lot of futzing around, like changing the page settings. Also, it is very difficult to get rid of the default underlined text, as I am not all that familiar with complex css coding and the way some of these html editors work. It is easy enough to just type the text in the main thumbnail caption block which is relatively easy to do, paste the link into the inspector of the html editor (I used Adobe Golive) and change the page settings so the text matched nicely.
I would much rather Apple do a revision on Aperture to include this possibility as a metadata object (or am I missing something!)
I must say that 1.5 is a great improvement, and I have begun using the application in earnest. I love the nice clean style sheets, and also the way the pages are numbered, and the data generated for the web is compact.
    Good one, Apple

  • Adding email links and web links????

    Wellcome to the forums !
Search (it's working again!) for DVD@ccess feature in DVDSP forum and in DVDSP USer Manual.

  • Adding a linked logo to Web Gallery?

Is it possible to add that to the Web Gallery (it will return to the home page), along with the images in the thumbnails? I'm using CS1

Easy as falling off a log...
So long as you know some rudimentary HTML, that is.
You can't do this using Photoshop's tools, though. You'll have to add the simple code to the pages. The HTML code can be edited in just about any text editor.
Here's a sample bit of code that you could start with:
    <a href='http://www.Your_Server.com/Your-Home-Page.html'><img src='http://www.Your_Server.com/ImagesFolder/logo-image-you-want-people-to-click-on.jpg'></a>
Of course, the URLs are just generically descriptive...you'd have to edit them to reflect your own locations and file names.
If you need more help with the HTML, you might be better off asking in the Dreamweaver forum.

  • Web gallery links no longer work from iWeb

I previously added links directly to my web gallery photo albums as external links in iWeb. This no longer works. For instance, I used to be able to send people to a specific web gallery album by linking to gallery.mac.com/username#xxxxxxx where xxxxxxx is the number of the album. This recently stopped working however. iWeb seems to change the # sign to %252. Anyone know what happened?
    Kurt

    Kurt:
FWIW here is some info I gleamed from various sites on naming sites.
    Renaming a website or webpage
You can rename a site or page at any time by double-clicking its name in the site organizer and typing the new name.
The page name appears at the top of the visitor's browser.
The site name is included in the website's address (URL):
    http://web.mac.com/[YourMemberName]/iWeb/[SiteName]
Renamed pages and sites (as well as the site's URL) change online the next time you publish.
IMPORTANT: If you rename a site, previously created links to your site won't work; be sure to notify your visitors, especially your blog or podcast subscribers.
Browsers convert spaces in site names to "%20." To avoid these symbols, use an underscore, hyphen, or some other character instead of a space. Also avoid non-Roman characters; many get converted to numbers when you publish.
Other characters aren't recommended for use in website names, including: forward and backward slashes (/ \), brackets ([ ]), tilde (~), exclamation point !, question mark (?), "at" sign (@), number sign (#), dollar sign ($), ampersand (&), asterisk (*), colon (:), equal sign (=), comma (,), and double quotation marks ("). Using these characters may result in names with strange numbers in them.
    Hope this helps.

  • Emailing photos to a web gallery

I've noticed that when pictures get added to a gallery via email, the photo name that displays is the subject heading of the email, instead of the name of the photo file. Is there a way to change the display of photos in web gallery to display the photo file name? Is there a way to add captions to photos in web gallery so there can be more meaningful information about the picture?

Don't know if this helps you at all. It's not LR of course.....
In CS2 Adobe added two Flash-based templates you can use for your online Web Photo Gallery. Even cooler is the fact that you can now add a background music track to one of these Flash galleries. Just follow these steps: First find the MP3 audio track you want to use as your background music and rename the file as "useraudio.mp3". Then open your Photoshop CS2 application folder and navigate to Presets>Web Photo Gallery. Inside that folder look for either Flash Gallery 1 or Flash Gallery 2. Depending on which gallery you chose within Photoshop, drag-and-drop your audio file into the corresponding folder. That's it! You've got background music.
