Web Hyperlinks in ver 2.0.3

Hi there,
I have typed a name in a cell then highlighted it, followed by activating it via the hyperlink/web inspector, copied my web details in then saved it, but every time I do this it always opens Apple.com even though I deleted this before I put my details in.
Could some one put me straight on this please.

For sure, if you return to the inspector it will display the default URL but as the link behaves correctly when inserted once, there is no need to return.
Returning is treated as a request to create a new link.
I don't know if it's deliberate or if it's an odd behavior.
What is sure is that if we create a link applying the described protocol, we have a link which behaves flawlessly.
In fact I was surprised that it behaves flawlessly.
I thought that the Inspector was only designed to insert a link in a text box because what you do is exactly what the HYPERLINK() function is supposed to do.
This function is described page 200 of iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide.

Webi Hyperlink to SAP Content Server

Hi folks,
My customer is trying to use a hyperlink;
http://opentext.samca.net:8080/archive?get&pVersion=0045&contRep=D1&docId=4945274BD42AD25FE10000000AC819E6
in his Webi report to launch a document stored on his SAP Content Server.
However the url will not parse in Webi because the u2018HTTP ver 4.5 for Content Serveru2019 expects a method as a first parameter, whilst in standard HTTP protocol the option of passing a parameter is not covered.
Is there any way around this, the url above has to be specified this way to comply with the SAP Content Server?

Drag and Drop: Free-standing cell, Blank cell, in that paste the URL. And change cell properties of "Read Cell content as" -- Hyperlink.

Can You Preserve Web Hyperlinks in Word Document?

I am using Acrobat 9.3 Pro for the Mac running OS 10.5.8.
I have Microsoft Word documents with embedded hyperlinks to web pages (i.e., clicking in Word on "here" sends the reader to a web site.)
I would like to create a pdf from documents like this so that when you click on the word "here" you go to the web site.
Presently, the pdf is blue and underlined, but the link does not carry forward from Word to Acrobat. This results whether I print using the "PDF" dialog box or whether I print using the "Acrobat PDF 9.0" selection among my printers.
I know I can go back and re-create the links using the links tool, and it will work if I type in the full web address. I am simply hoping there is something I can do to avoid either of these workarounds.
Can anyone suggest anything? This would seem to be a fairly simple feature to implement, so I'm probably missing something.

Unfortunately, that option isn't available in Word on a Mac. Windows only.
I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement but I assume it's not that easy since people have been begging for it for years.
If you were using InDesign, it can be done (using the InDesign Export to PDF function) but just not in Word.

Webi Hyperlink with OpenDoc causes WIH 00013

I am trying to create a hyperlink from one report to another, passing the number of the clicked on site.
This is the hyperlink code that I have used:
/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=18704&sType=WID&lsSSite=223
Site is an input parameter of the target WEBI document. It has been configured to be optional, and the user must select values from a list.
If the WEBI document is run through the portal, and the link clicked, I get the following error message:
Invalid Session. Please close your browser and log on again. (WIH 00013)
If I take out the lsSSite parameter, the link works perfectly, so it seems to be something I am doing wrong when trying to pass values to the target webi.
The target prompt is defined as optional and prompt with list of values. The other 2 checkboxes for select only from list and remember past values are both unchecked. All I want is for the input prompt to be pre-populated with the values clicked on in the source report.
Any ideas on what causes this, or how I need to configure the hyperlink?

May be you can try this to increase the session time,
Go to Registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CMS\Instances\cmsname.cms,
Change IdleSessionTimeout=2700000
Modify the value at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BusinessObjects\Suite 12.0\default\WebIntelligence\Server\Admin\SwapTimeOut to 2700000.(Only if WebIntelligence reports timeout)
If you are using IIS then,
Right-click default website --> properties
Go to the Home Directory tab and click on Configuration
Change the Session Timeout to 45 minutes
Right click the BOBJAppPool121 Application Pool --> Properties
Go to the performance tab and change the idle timeout to 45 --> Click OK
Right click the DefaultAppPool Application Pool --> Properties
Go to the performance tab and change the idle timeout to 45 --> Click OK
and then Restart IIS/Tomcate.

WEBI Hyperlink on entire column - Similar to RRI Jump Query in BW

In BW it is possible to jump from one query to another query based on a single value in a column and/or all values in that column. I know in WEBI we could create hyperlinks on single values in a column. Is it possible to create a Hyperlink/Opendoc on the entire column in a WEBI report which would pass as parameters all the values in that column.

if you are using a prompt in your main report make sure that prompt allows multiple values selections. Same for the detail report, make sure it has the same multiple values prompt with the same name.
Then follow these steps:
1. Open InfoView and change WebIntelligence Preferences to Interactive Mode. Save it.
2. Open main report and do not press Edit button.
3. Do right-click on the column's title cell you want a hyperlink to be inserted . Select Hyperlink->Newu2026
4. Hyperlink window displays
5. Browse you detail report
6. In "Document prompts option" do click on the black arrow and select "Builde formula" instead of the usual "Select variable".As you can see in this image:

7. Insert this formula in formula window:
=UserResponse("Year:")
Then press Ok and test your hyperlink.

Can't print complete web pages in Ver 5.0

Just upgraded to Ver 5.0. OS is XP SP3. Printer is Brother MFC-7225N. When trying to print a page from a site, instead of the one page, I got multiple pages that were the frame by frame pages. The "Print Frame" section is greyed out under the print command. Cannot choose "as laid out on screen" Did not have problem with previous version which was 3.6

How to send data from WEBI HYPERLINK to SAP R/3

Can someone please help in sending the data from WEBI to R/3 system.
We created a universe on top of a BEX Query and on Top of that we created a web intelligence report.
Now our requirement is when we click on any record in BO web ntelligence report that data should get populated in SAP R/3 system FAGLL03 screen . How to send the data from WEBI to R/3 system.

How to Create non-web "hyperlinks"

In InDesign you are able to create links from one page of a document to another. They are called hyperlinks on that program. However, it seems that all the forums talking about using hyperlinks in Illustrator are speaking of using URLs to an online site.
I was wondering if there was a way to create a link from one art board to the another with a clickable function.

Are you talking about wanting this for use within Illustrator, or for use by a recipient of the finished document?
Nowadays, AI files are delivered for client approval, print, etc., as PDFs. You can add navigation buttons to PDFs with Acrobat.

WRT54G VER 6 delayed response when using the web (Old WRT54G VER 2 works fine)

Very strange problem. I have had a 2yr old WRT54G VERSION 2 and it (still) works perfectly except I broke the antenna (I don't even use the wireless side). I just got a new WRT54G VERSION 6 and am having weird problems with it. I have the same problem with THREE DIFFERENT REV 6's (Staples hates me by now) but the old REV 2 always works fine when I swap it back in:
With the REV 6 version when I click on any web link or web site from My Favorites there is like a 5-10 second delay before anything connects. Just dead air for 5-10 seconds with ANY click of the mouse in IE7. When I swap back the old REV 2 version the connection is immediate and fine. If I do a PING it takes 5-10 seconds for the ping to start then it goes fine with the REV 6 but the REV 2 pings out immediately. Same problem with speed-tests. It takes 5-10 seconds to start but the results are fine on the VERSION 6 but the VERSION 2 is fine. I tried the latest firmware and the settings are the same on both router versions. I find it hard to believe I have 3 bad WRT54G REV6 routers but yet the old VER2 one continues to work fine. Comcast says it isn't their problem (and I agree) yet 3 bad routers seems highly unlikely.
One thing I have noted. The INTERNET light on the Version 2 WRT54G blinks at a "leisurely" pace, but the INTERNET light on the 3 VERSION 6's all blink at a tremendously fast rate, probably 5x faster then the REV 2.
For now I'm back to the old Version 2 WRT54G.
Any ideas why 3 Version 6's basically don't work and an old VER2 works absolutely fine (except for the broken antenna).
All routers have most recent firmware updates.

Has to do with the version 6 routers lack of memory, it gets overloaded with packets so it slows down or just stops working. Usually unplugging and plugging back in temporarily fixes it. Do a google search for versions 5 and 6 you will see its a common problem.
The reason your version 2 works better is it has twice the memory. After version 4 they switched from Linux operating system to VXWorks. Supposedly works better with less required memory. Can they be more wrong? LOL
If you want the same performance out of a WRT54G series router look at getting a WRT54GL v1.1. Made with the same specs as versions 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Just checked my GL, coming up on 50 days online without a reboot.

Web Application Designer ver 3 vs Standard Web base on Query designer

The standard template quiet useful , however we trying to make the graph bigger.
*. In Web application designer, we put 1. Generic Navigation Block, Table and Chart. But we cant find how to make Generic Navigation block and table in same row as it is shown in standard template.

Forms On Web

Hi All,
I am running my forms on web using forms ver 6.0.8.8. and OAS 4.0.8.Earlier This Application was in forms 45. I have some specific problems mentioned below.
1. I am not able to get the icon gif files displayed.The cion path is mentioned in tha app file and the app file is mentioned in the html. I dont understand the problem. Same is the case with Images.I am a bit confused by this document base and code base concept. ?
2. I have a certain set of HTML Files which I will be using as help files called from the corresponding forms. What I need to know is Is there any way wherein I can navigate to a particular position in a html Page. ?
3.This one is relating to size of applet. Since the MDI Window is no more there on web, My code to maximize the MDI is useless. But How do I maximise the Applet Window? By the Way My Forms Windows has size of 593 * 315 and the co ordinates are real point 6*17

The issue yuo have is that Java only has a limited number of fonts. The registry.dat will map the fonts in the forms to
those available in java.
Have a look at the migration papers on otn.oracle.com/products/forms and this will explain a bit more about it

How to Open Adobe *pdf Files Hyperlink in New Tab

(Amongst all the extensions I have installed are Session Manager and Tabs Mix Plus, either of which might have bearing on this question. Session Manager is set to restore the tabs still open upon closing the previous session.)
When Firefox is closed, clicking a web hyperlink in a pdf file opened in Adobe Acrobat will open the browser, but that page will displace whatever was visible in the last session's focused tab (the one which would have focus if the browser was reopened normally).
If Firefox is already open and I'm using Acrobat externally the same happens -- the hyperlink' s page opens in the tab with focus, displacing whatever other webpage is displayed theree.
If by chance a pdf is open in a browser tab (FF is configured to open pdfs in a tab from *within* the browser) clicking a hyperlink in that pdf will open the new site in that current tab.
What do I set to get external Acrobat to open in a *new* tab when clicking a webpage hyperlink in a pdf?

There is no tru hyperlink object in Captivate as such.
You can use a button or a click box to provide users with an interactive object that when clicked will call a URL or document.
However, this doesn't really give you a mouse rollover effect the way users are accustomed to seeing in normal web hyperlinks.
If you really want to add a piece of on screen hyperlinked text (with rollover effect) to a Captivate project, the closest you'll come to it is this widget: http://www.infosemantics.com.au/hyperlink

Not open new IE window when clicks on a hyperlink

Hello. I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and IE 6.0
I open a PDF file using the Adobe Reader, click web hyperlink on the document, it always launch in same IE window.
How can I configure to launch a PDF hyperlink in separate window? Thanks.
