the action is correct, will need to see the source file,
perhaps you apply
it incorrectly.
You will need to upload the source and let us check,
otherwise we can't just guess
from here, way too many places it could go wrong.

  • I have just updated to Firefox v 6.0.2 and can no-longer open web links from Windows Live Mail 2011 (Bld 15.4.3538).

Shutting down programmes and rebooting computer did not help. Launching web links from Live Mail has never been a problem before. Error message reads " There was a problem sending the command to the program"

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

  • Linking from SWF files to web pages

    Hi
I'm using the latest Flash CS3.
Basically, I want to link from the SWF file to a webpage.
Here's what I've done so far.
Created the FLA file, imported the quicktime movie into it
    etc etc.
I've then added a behaviour by clicking on the inserted
movie, then BEHAVIORS >WEB> GO TO WEB PAGE> and filled in
all the relevant text for the link.
Then I have saved the file. Then I have published then OK.
I have embeded the SWF file in a web page, but when I click
on the movie, it shows there's a link, but it won't link to the
    webpage.
What am I doing wrong? I dont understand.
Can't get my head around this!
When I go to the FLA file, then publish preview > flash,
and the movie appears on its own, the link works... but the SWF
    file doesn't.
Basically what do I need to do to make it work.
The coding I am using in my web-page is:
    <p align="center"><center>
    <object width="165" height="100">
    <param name="movie" value="
    http://homovision.media7london.com/wordpress/Newcontribute.swf"
    />
    <embed src="
    http://homovision.media7london.com/wordpress/Newcontribute.swf"
    width="165" height="100" />
    </object>
    </p></center>
The movie plays, the "link hand" appears above it, but when
    it is clicked nothign happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Simon

Did you inport to the stage and put a stop (action script) on
    the frame?

  • Images not linking from .swf within Dreamweaver

I am hoping someone can help...it's probably an easy fix.
I had this simialar probelm of my .swf being too large (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3705787#3705787) So I went and linked all of the images.
I am placing the flash catalyst .swf into dreamweaver, adding a simple footer (for ios users that flash doesn't work for) and the uploading to the site.
This is how my folders look:
I have place the full 'deploy to web' folder within the _assets folder and placed the main.swf from this location, however when I go to the site none of the linked images are there - www.coocoocreative.com
Does anyone know where I am going wrong? (I have checked my hosting server and all the folders are there).
    Thanks!

Ok...it was really simple and I figured that problem out. I wasn't linking the .swf relative to the site root' (ok ok, I'm still learning, please be patient )
    Thanks!

  • How do I remove the web link from text

I have a text string on a sticky note that is formatted as a web link.
How can I remove the web link so the string becomes ordinary text?
    Thanks,
    -Joe

In Stickies, ⌃click (or right-click) the link. From the contextual menu, choose Remove Link. Alternatively, choose Edit Link…, then click the Remove Link button, or delete the URL.

  • Create a Button that Opens a Specific Web Link from a Dropdown Box

Hi guys.  My main question is, how do I make a Button that opens a specific Web Link, depending on the URL selected in a Dropdown box?
    Example:
I'm a comlpete newbie and need a code sample of how this would work!  Thanks!
I have a couple other questions which are related to this.
    1) Is it possible to hide the URL in the Dropdown list, and only show the Name, so for examlpe, it would only list Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, and not the www....com?
    2) Another more advanced question is, once the web link is opened, is it possible to have adobe input or fill-in the Login and Password fields into the website and then hit "Enter" for you.  The Username and Password would be stored somewhere in adobe and would depend on the weblink opened. So for example: When you open Hotmail, it would use the following; Username:[email protected] and Password:password1, but if you opened Gmail, it would use a different Username and Password stored for Gmail.
    3) Finally, out of curiousity, is it possible to have adobe extract data from a website, and fill them into an adobe form?  This maybe over my head, but any starting point or examples would be of great help!

Use something like this as the button's MouseUp action:
    app.launchURL(this.getField("URL Dropdown").value));
    To answer your other questions:
    1) Yes. Place the URL as the export value of each option, and the name of the site as the display value. The code I provided can remain the same.
    2) No.
    3) Might be possible, but it's very tricky. The way to do it would be to convert the website to a PDF, process that PDF to extract the data from it, and then use that to populate the form fields. That would require quite advanced scripting knowledge, but it could be possible.

  • Links from SWF not working

I'm building a site in Dreamweaver and have the navagation in
Flash and placed the swf into Dreamweaver with the rest of the
content. The swf has about 10 links, which all work when I preview
it from Flash. But now that I've added it to the site, only 3 links
    work. Any ideas why?

Okay, thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I know
almost nothing about writing code. I know there is a way to detect
if the user has flash or not and if not, tell it to use the
alternate, but I have no idea how to do this. Any chance I could
    get the code?
Since I'm a designer and designed the flash version to look
and interact the way I want it to, I still want that to be the one
people see if they can. When I open the html version of the flash
navagation, all the links work. Then when I open the website with
the same swf in it, only 3 links work. Does anyone know what the
    problem might be?

I have links to websites in my Captivate videos which work

One possibility is to include a lightweight web server on the
CD. The steps are outlined in the thread linked below:
