Web page in Flash?

Hi All,
Please visit http://www.articulate.com/products/demos/blog/Web_Object_Demo/player.html and click on "embedded Web Object" then you will see that there is a web page in the Flash!
I really want to do the same thing for my full Flash web site, in which I want to do exactly the same thing with the so called "embedded Web Object". But I don't really know how..........
If anyone knows how to do that then please let me know. Thanks a million in advance!

Its a very interesting technique.
What they are doing is using ExternalInterface to call a Javascript function on the page that displays an absolutely positioned iFrame on top of the Flash content. So, the website is not displaying inside the SWF, it only appears to be.
A note: This technique did not work in Google Chrome, and mis-positioned in my IE8

Hi,
I am trying to create a personal portfolio website using Flash CS4.
Understand that there are a number of ways to create web pages using Flash.
One way is to create separate swf files for the web pages and load them when the web page is requested.
Another way is to put the pages in separate frames in the same swf file or to use scenes and use gotoAndPlay().
Another possible way is to create separate movie clips for the web pages.
Wonder if anybody can advice the recommended way of creating the web pages.

there are pros and cons to each approach. which is best for your situation depends on your specifics.

Web pages with Flash don't appear to load completely

My web pages use a flash menu. They load and work but IE acts
like they are still loading. Any suggestions? It is appears to be a

Flash Player is causing my Web Pages to flash like crazy Need help!

I need help, I'm running a computer with Windows 98 4.10.1998
and Running Internet Explorer ver. 6.0.2800.1106IC
I had some problems I have fix eveything but when I got to a
web page it wants
to install and run flash player if I do Install and run, all
my web pages flash
like crazy every clickable icon or line flash the screen
makes it flicker so hard
it is enough to give you a headache. Ad boxes on the pages
flash like a lighting
strorm. How do I fix this? I never had this before, I ran the
flash player debug file
that made no change. Help!

Already checked the Event Viewer. The only thing I could find is this critical level event
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
This only happens when I am running a flash video in IE10. In Chrome everything works fine. I downgraded flash player to 11.4 but with no luck.
From the event viewer, the reboots started from sometime in september.(this is my parents' pc)
I think I found the problem. I changed my video card, a 9600GT, a few months ago with a GT630. I switched back to the 9600GT, and it looks like the issue is not happening any more. But it's still verry ackward for the issue to happen only on IE10.
I'm still testing to be sure that the video card is the problem.

Web pages containing flash run/scroll very slow, help plz

hi guys,
complete first timer on here so be gentle,
i have a very annoying problem with flash player and my
firefox web browser.
what happens is,
normal browsing is all ok with no problems, but as soon as a
flash ad or anything with flash appears , it basically brings that
web page to a stand still.
meaning, you know when you use your scroll wheel under normal
circumstances, to scroll down a page, well when the problem
happens, the page just virtually freezes up, and scrolling just
becomes impossible.
i figured this out to be a flash player problem, when i was
on IGN'S web site, and they have small ads appearing at regular
intervals, and i noticed that as soon as ads appeared, the
scrolling problem happened.
so can anybody give me any ideas as to why or how to stop
this happening.
i have firefox 2.0.0.3 and flash player 9,0,28,0

aghh right,
basically on both the links above, i have no problems,
my problems are whenever there is flash ads or flash movie
streams, my scrolling is so bad, i have to go back to the old
fashion drag the bar.
i did actually think i had cured it with a reinstall of flash
player, but its back again.
as much as it pains me to say this....iam real tempted to go
back to the dreaded I.E.
as my main interests are gaming, virtually all my sites i
visit are every flash orientated, so to be honest, i dont know what
to do.
one thing for sure its dam annoying.

Everytime I start firefox I get its web page plus Flash Video Downloader advertisement in 2nd tab, how do I get rid of this

I get the standard Firefox web page but also get a second web page advertisement for Flash Video Downloader. I use Flash Video Downloader already and my data use is limited monthly so I don't want this page coming up every time I get on the web browser. I've asked the Flash Video folks but they have no suggested solutions. It is not shown in options for home page and I can't find where it is being loaded from.

we are looking to send clients an e-card for christmas and im
trying to figure out how i could incorporate this into a web page
and insert it in the email so it displays when they open it. im
also wondering how you could insert a flash file in an email so
that it displays as the message and not just an attachment.

Open web page in flash

Hi,
I have put a progressive video in the first frame of a flash
scene and would like the video to finish before a URL opens. The
trouble I have is getting the web page to open after the movie
ends, right now it opens at the same time the video starts.
Any help is appreciated,

The error says LINE 2, perhaps the browser formatted that
into two lines.
When you copy paste, make sure it's one line only.

Creating Links for other Web pages within Flash C23

Hello Everyone,
First of all, I'm sure you're tired of answering the
questions regarding "Links". Although, I'm having a very
difficult time with this issue. I just purchased Flash C23,
taken all the tutorials from www.lynda.com, but
I do not find answers for linking one web page to another
within Flash C23. I have read all the answers
on this forum and still can not get my buttons to link up to
my other web pages.
I have figured out how to create the buttons, although, I'm
not doing something right when I try to link up my web
pages. You have to realize I'm coming from Adobe Golive (no
need for codes or scripts). I do not want to stop
using Flash... Can someone help?

Safari 7.1.2 very slow with web pages containing flash animations

Hello,
Since I haved installed the last flash plugin update, safari 7.1.2 (mac os 10.9.5) is very slow on pages containing flash stuff.
Already try to clean "cache.db", "reinitialize safari" from "safari menu", does not work ...
While surfing the console display following messages :

From the Safari menu bar, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Close the window. Then select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
          Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane. Test.
If you use a FireWire audio interface, disconnect it and test again. If you don't know what a FireWire audio interface is, you don't have one.

How to display local HTML5 web page in flash builder mobile application?

We have one single html5 web page that includes script tag to include a set of resources(java script).
Currently we have tried using web view, htmlloader and IFrame, but none of the approaches worked as the page is included in the assets folder itself of the application, and we need to run it on the mobile device(not the browser).

If all you are doing is loading an HTML5 web page I would look at using PhoneGap instead:

you can display certain html tags in an html-enabled
textfield or a textarea component. but you can't display a webpage,
per se.

When Generating Flash web pages; images files incorrectly reported as missing.

Using LR 2.2 or 2.3, <Web, Export, (to local directory > As Program executes, in the upper left corner of screen, LR displays tiny version of image being processed, and path of web image; THEN, upon completion, displays the following error message ---- Export did not complete successfully. I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
