Web Part displays deleted pages...

Hi everyone,
Recently I got a very server functionality disorder from SharePoint 2010. I used a
CQW to display data from pages library of parent site as well as child sites, It all goes well.
BUT from the past two days the same CQW displays the pages- from the pages library of parent as well as child sites- that were
DELETED.
Any help from anyone will highly be appreciated.

It seems cache items are still visible. Just for sometime until they get deleted and use "UseCache" = false.

"One or more field types are not installed properly" when I try to add a second discussion board web part to a page

I have a SharePoint 2010 site with two discussion boards. I added one additional field to each of the boards: a lookup to another list to link the discussions to individual projects. I need 2 different boards because they have different posting permissions
(one is open to all for comments, and one is open only to the project team to post but everyone can read).
When I go to the pages for each of the discussion boards, they work fine.
But I'm putting together a page for individual projects, and want to have web parts for both discussion boards on the same page, showing the discussions related to the selected project.
I am able to add one of the discussion boards to a web part in the page, but when I add the second discussion board to the page, the new web part contains:
One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.
Correlation ID: blah blah blah
I've searched for similar postings, but mostly I see this error message related to migration from 2007 to 2010 -- this is not the case here: I created both discussion boards, and the whole site, in SP 2010. I've also found this message related
to coding errors using SPQuery. I am not doing any coding here, just using the built-in SharePoint 2010 Edit Page -> add a web part -> select the discussion list. I tried doing it from SPD with the same result.

I figured it out. I was using ?FilterField1=fieldname&FilterValue1=value on the URL to the page to pick out one project number. The web part I was trying to add was for a list that did not have that particular fieldname. I didn't realize that would matter
since I was using the Connections -> Get Filter Values From to get my filter values from the main web part, which does have that fieldname.
I added a field with that fieldname to the other list and set a workflow to copy the lookup value of the project number lookup field into the new field. Now all is working fine. Sorry for the wild geese in my original question.

SharePoint 2010 Calendar web part displaying (False) in every event

I am looking at an issue with a Team site that has a calendar web part on a page. In this calendar web part, every item has "(False)" appended after it. This only displays in the web part. If I access the calendar list directly, the item displays
correctly.
For example,
In the calendar web part I will see: Good Friday (False)
In the calendar list I will see: Good Friday
This is the out of the box calendar web part and nothing out of the ordinary looks to be set with it. Why is "(False)" displaying in the web part and how do I get rid of it?

Hi Jim,
According to your description, my understanding is that the calendar web part displayed incorrectly in SharePoint 2010.
Could you please provide a screenshot of the calendar list and the calendar web part?
I recommend to verify the steps below for troubleshooting this issue:
Remove the calendar web part from the page and then add another calendar web part to narrow the issue scope.
Create a new page and add the calendar web part to the page to see if the issue still occurs.
Create a new calendar list and test the same scenario, then compare the results.
Check the XSLT list view web part in the page in SharePoint Designer to see if there is anything wrong.

How to add a list views web part to a page?

I have web parts on a page that are "List Views". The show links as menu from a custom list of links on a page. However, I don't know how the developer added them to page and how they work. I like to add other list views
that list links from lists.

Your query is to configure a webpart in a page which will display all the links to lists (within the site)? If this is the requirement you can configure a dataformwebpart and configure the Data
Source Mode as CrossList.

Script Editor web part automatically deletes itself

Hello Community
    On a Team Site there is a web part in a web part zone on a page
and a Script Editor web part was also added to the web part zone.
    After the Script Editor web part was added CSS code was inserted into
the Script Editor web part and the page worked fine.
    Then soon after modifying some other parts of the page
when I run the page some more the Script Editor web part vanishes even
though I never touched it again because that web part worked fine.
    What could make a web part to delete from a web part zone on a page?

Updating List View Web Part property in page

I have a List View web part (In the page > Add web part > App > document library name). I need to update the TitleUrl property of this web part through C# code.
The SaveChanges() method below works for my visual web parts, but not for the List view webpart. I get an error saying: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation

I did a casting as below

(Please note that casting to ListViewWebpart instead of the XsltListViewWebpart gives a invalid cast exception, which is the reason why I cast it to XsltListViewWebpart)
But I get the error at SaveChanges() method.

Tried casting back as below
webpartManager.SaveChanges((System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.WebPart)listViewWebPart)
but still the error at SaveChange() is there.
AllowUnsafeUpdates is set to true within this block and code runs in elevated privileges.

According to your description, there is an issue when you try to update the TitleUrl property of a List View Web Part.
For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you do as the followings:

How to add the Note board web part to a page with powershell

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around everywhere but haven't seen it explicitly mentioned.
Does anyone know how to add the Note Board web part to a Team Site page, e.g. Non-publishing site, Left Zone, First webpart in the zone in powershell?
Examples like this one http://adicodes.com/adding-web-part-to-page-with-powershell/ only talk about custom web parts uploaded from a local drive.
The example here looks good - http://spcrew.com/blogs/lists/posts/post.aspx?id=21 but is it for the Page Viewer Web Part. How would you go about getting the correct name for the note board web part and configuring it?

The name of the Note Board web part is SocialCommentWebPart.

Error When inserting Content Query Web part onto the page

i am using share point 2010 and when i am trying to insert content query web part onto the page i am getting the following error
i checked the correlation id in the logs file but could not find anything useful in it.
please suggest why this problem occuring everytime when i try to insert content query webpart onto the page

Hi,
Check the correlation id in your logging files are the best way to investigate.
Did you check these files with "SharePoint ULS Log viewer". Maybe, that will be more easy for you to get the correlation Id.
Moreover, check the account's permissions with which you try to insert your webpart.

Is there a way to allow contributor users to add web parts to a page without granting them "Add and Customize Pages" permission?

I am working on an enterprise wiki site collection, and when contributor users try to add web parts they will get the following error:-
A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. You don't have Add and Customize Pages permissions required to perform this action.
So I granted the Contribute Permission level an extra permission which is “Add and Customize Pages”. Now contributors will be able to add/edit/delete
web parts. But they will have extra permissions that I do not want them to have , such as changing the design and customize some page layouts, also they can access the site settings and create site columns !!.
So my question is basically if there is another way to allow users with contribute permission to be able to add web parts without granting any extra permission. In other words to treat adding web parts as normal content such as image, Text ,tables ?

so there are not any workarounds or any custom settings which i can use to implement any of these:-
- To force Contributor users to add web parts without granting them "Add and Customize Pages"
- If i grant them "Add and customize Pages" permission, to stop the ability to access the site settings ?
Please can any one advice on this , as it is causing a lot of confusion,,, and i can not live with the face that Contributor users can access and modify site settings. the other approach will be is that i will stop using web parts. but one of our main reasons
we decide to use SharePoint is the ability to add web parts, especially the Visio & Excel web access web. thanks in advance for any advice ..

ECT List View Web Part displaying incorrect data when View Item

I have a External Content Type which pulls data from a stored procedure. The stored procedure has 1 parameter - the users logon id. The data retrieved is a list of meetings with start date time, end date time, location, subject, etc. From this ECT there
is an External List which displays all data correctly.
There is 2 pages within the site and its subsites that have list view web parts which display a subset of the info from the external list. When the user clicks a specific meeting to display the complete info on the meeting, the wrong information is displayed,
it always displays the info for the 1st meeting in the list. So, I displayed the BDC Identity field on the list and this field is identical for all the rows since the key for the ECT is the username and hence not unique.
I've spent all day trying to finding a way to resolve this and have come up empty. I've tried to find a way to make the BDC Identity field to be unique, using Business Data View web part, Data View web part, and nothing.
The user needs to be able to click the My Meetings url header on the above pages to see a full list of their meetings so I need the external list. Any ideas how to make the BDC Identity field unique or how to get the View Item on the List View web part to
work correctly?

I resolved the non unique BDC Identity problem by simply adding the row # to the Username in the stored procedure so the BDC Identity fields on the list records are now unique (although they're really long ie. __bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056003300,
__bk44003500070057003700560027000200140037003700f600360096001600470056004300 etc). Not sure how it generates the BDC Identity?
I still see the same behaviour when you select a meeting to display the details. It always displays the 1st record in the list.
I added code to the DispForm to display the ID when the page loads and the BDC Identity from the record and verfied that they do match.
I can add another parameter to the stored procedure and just return the row # in that field. What do you mean by make the identifire as Identity in operations?

Content Search Web Part - display template Error

Hi,
I have an office 365 site, where in I have more than one Content Search Web Part and I have written custom display templates to be used in CSWP.
Now, the issue is, whenever the page is browsed (intermittent in this case) and the page is edited to edit the CSWP (always in this case), the javascript files corresponding to the display templates are not loaded and because of which its throwing 'Sorry,
something went wrong' error.

SharePoint 2013 shows the same picture library after add more than two picture library slideshow web part in one page.

The environment is SP2013 with SP1, I had check the KB, but don't have any hotfix about this.
I had try it on the different fram, also the same result.
I try it on sharepoint online is work. So I think that must have hotfix about this.
