Web Proxy using Flex 2?

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to create a proxy service similar to sites like
proxy7.com in Flex, but I'm having extreme difficulties. Right now
I just want to get the basics, so I'm trying to load basic sites
like google.com. Here is the script I have so far:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
layout="absolute" width="50%" height="50%">
<mx:HTTPService id="loadSite" method="get" />
<mx:states>
<mx:State name="sent" >
<mx:SetProperty target="{panel1}" name="height"
value="95%"/>
<mx:SetStyle target="{panel1}" name="borderColor"/>
<mx:AddChild relativeTo="{panel1}"
position="lastChild">
<mx:TextArea creationComplete="getPage.send()"
id="siteDisp" top="43" right="10" bottom="10" left="10"
htmlText="{getPage.lastResult.toString()}" />
</mx:AddChild>
</mx:State>
</mx:states>
<mx:Panel width="95%" height="85" layout="absolute"
verticalCenter="0" horizontalCenter="0" title="Josh's Proxy"
id="panel1" resizeEffect="Resize" >
<mx:TextInput id="urlin" top="10" left="10" right="70"
editable="true" text="Enter URL here..." focusIn="if(urlin.text ==
'Enter URL here...'){ urlin.text = '
http://' }" height="25"/>
<mx:Button label="Go" width="50" right="10" top="10"
height="25" click="getPage.send()" id="button1" />
</mx:Panel>
<mx:HTTPService id="getPage" url="{urlin.text}"
resultFormat="text" showBusyCursor="true"
result="currentState='sent'" />
</mx:Application>
It starts to work a little bit, but all it returns is
"Google". Any suggestions?

Are you using Flex Builder 3? Flex 3.0 beta Data
visualization components are available as part of FB 3 only. You
can select either 2.0.1 hotfix 3 charts (consists of only
charts.swc) or 3.0.0 data visualization (consists of
datavisualization.swc). through multiple sdks feature of FB3. For
flex 3 beta, flex 2 charting key will work. so if you want to try
out new features in charts and new components like Advanced data
grid you can switch to 3.0.0 sdk and use same flex 2 charting key
to remove watermark from charts.

    We are planning to Silent print a PDF from a web page using Flex. We are targeting Windows and Mac with Arcobat reader installed. I have tried using the AIR appliaction and it worked, But our requirement is NO INSTALL to the user machine for the silent printing. It is just from web page and silent printing to the default printer to the desktop/Laptop. Can anyone share your thoughts and experience with us. It will be very helpful..
    For AIR : I tried the thread Re: AIR and PDF showing/silent printing

    Hey CodeMonkey & Ross,
    Did you either of you ever find a solution? I'm stuck too, it seems I can get remote printing on all these PDFs to work but it just prints a blank page since I've been using Javascript in the browser, not Adobe's (they are Engineering drawings that I do not have permission to edit so I can't just insert code into them but I need to make work instructions). I've been scouring the internet for hours now, it seems that this thread is the only relevant/useful one at this point. No one else was trying to achieve this for similar reasons to mine.
    Thanks guys,

  • HTTP Web Proxy using Non Blocking IO

    Resolved Thanks................

    client.register(selector, SelectionKey.OP_READ
    | SelectionKey.OP_WRITE);OP_READ only at this stage. OP_WRITE is always 'ready' unless the socket send buffer is full, so your selector will just spin. Don't register OP_WRITE until you have something to write.
    ByteBuffer bferClient = ByteBuffer.allocate(4096);You're doing this every time around the loop, and you don't even know whether the key is readable yet. Do it when you accept a connection, and save it as the key attachment for that channel.
    client.configureBlocking(false);It's already in non-blocking mode. Why are you doing this again?
    try {
    if ((bytesRead = client.read(bferClient)) != -1) {
    bferClient.flip();
    String msgFromClient = new String(bferClient.array());new String(bferClient.array(), 0, bferClient.limit()-1), but you're assuming you got a complete command here. You may not have. That's another reason why you need a ByteBuffer per channel.
    channel.connect(socketAddress);You should do that in non-blocking mode, register the channel for OP_CONNECT, and let the select loop take care of finishing the connection.
    channel.write(bferClient);The incoming command was CONNECT. You don't write that upstream.
    if (!"".equals(msgFromClient.trim())) {
    int bytesReadServer;
    byte[] reply = new byte[4096];
    try {
    ByteBuffer bufferNIO = ByteBuffer.allocateDirect(1024);
    while ((channel.read(bufferNIO)) != -1) {
    bufferNIO.flip();
    client.write(bufferNIO);
    bufferNIO.clear();
    }And you don't do any of this here. You register the new channel for OP_CONNECT, then when you get that do finishConnect() and then register it for OP_READ, and proceed around your select loop. You also need to associate this channel with the channel you read the CONNECT from. So you really need a key attachment object for the original channel that contains its byte buffer and the upstream channel; similarly the upstream channel needs a key attachment that contains its buffer and its downstream channel. The effect of doing all this stuff here instead of around the select loop is that you are never getting back to the select loop: you are handling this one client here, in blocking mode, until the connection is dropped. Completely wrong.
    } catch (IOException e) {Hang on. If bytesRead was -1 you must close the channel.
    e.printStackTrace();And if you get any IOException here you must also close the channel.
    if (channel != null) {
    try {
    channel.close();This is a really strange place to close this channel.
    When you get all that fixed up, post your code and I'll tell you how to handle OP_WRITE.

  • Problems with OC4J Web services and Flex SOAPEncoder

    Hello!
    I got a problem trying to execute a web service running in
    Oracle OC4j 10.1.3.3, and a client side with Flex3. I generated the
    scripts for using the web service using Flex builder 3, but it's
    not making a valid call to web service. I debugged the call
    operation to the Flex SOAPEncoder which seems to generate an
    invalid soap message. The SOAPEncoder generates the following
    message;
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <tns:getDocuments xmlns:tns="
    http://modultek.atonpdm.document/">
    <tns:getDocuments>
    <tns:String_1>service manual</tns:String_1>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Where the correct working soap message should be;
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <tns:getDocuments xmlns:tns="
    http://modultek.atonpdm.document/">
    <tns:String_1>service manaual</tns:String_1>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Problem in the first message is that Flex SOAPEncoder
    generates an extra <tns:getDocuments> child tag, and Oracle
    app server can't handle it.
    Has someone any idea why SOAPEncoder is generating the extra
    operation tag, and is this behaviour configurable somehow or is the
    soapencoder broken?

    Best regards, Janne

    I am having the exact same problem. The SOAPEncoder is adding
    an additional tag and the server thinks the envelope is not
    properly formatted and therefore does not know what to do with it.
    Is there any fix for this yet? Or has it even been reported as a
    bug?

    please tell me how to avoid this, Is their any other method
    to do this.
    Following is the link for my above code
    http://www.emantras.com/flexdemo/sample.html
    in this application one more problem is also their,
    background image loads very slow, before it loads all the flex
    components will load. So when you open this please wait till
    background image loaded, to move to next and back pages.
    Thanks for your time and consideration.

  • Rich media web banners in flex?

    Our company is looking into developing rich media and/or expandable web banners. I'm pretty comfortable in Flex and was wondering is anyone has built web banners using Flex instead of Flash. Thanks.
    Ryan

    Flex is a framework. Although the output of both Flash and Flex is a .swf file, if you build it using the Flex framework the output file embeds components (e.g. button, scrollbar, text field, canvas), which probably you will not need if your goal is to create a banner.
    E.g. the smallest app built in Flex is ~ 170000 bytes.

    I have deployed a BPEL process using JDeveloper. This process can be invoked from the BPEL console and completes as expected. I am trying to create a Web Service Proxy using the Microsoft WSDL.exe tool so that the process can be invoked from a Microsoft Word document. This process is based on the AutoLoan example in the Developer's Guide for Microsoft Office Interoperability B25781-01.
    WSDL.exe returns the following error message
    Error: There was an error processing 'http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl'.
    - The document at the url http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl was not recognized as a known document type. The error message from each known type may help you fix the problem:
    - Report from 'WSDL Document' is 'There is an error in XML document (19, 7).'.
    - A schema with the namespace '' has already been added.
    - Report from 'DISCO Document' is 'Discovery document at the URL http://erp.template.co.uk:8889/orabpel/default/HonorariumSmartDoc/1.0/HonorariumSmartDoc?wsdl could not be found.'.
    - The document format is not recognized.
    - Report from 'XML Schema' is 'Expected Schema root. Make sure that the root element is <schema> and the namespace is 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' for an XSD schema or 'urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-data' for an XDR schema. An error occurred at , (2, 2).'.
    How do I resolve this error?

    The WSDL file is below.

  • Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC) - Web Service using ABAP Proxy

    Hi there
    I am trying to consume a Web Service using ABAP Proxies.  I have done the following in the system:
    I configured the HTTP and HTTPS Proxy settings.
    I created a package with package interfaces SAI_TOOLS and SAPPINT included under the Use Access tab.
    I created the proxy classes by using the WSDL provided by the system I'm trying to interface with.
    I created my HTTP destination RFC via SM59.
    I configured a logical port for the proxy.
    I developed the ABAP code for calling the proxy.
    In the code the exception CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT gets raised with error message <b>"Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b> when I call the method for passing data to the destination system in the proxy class.
    I had a look at SM21 and the following message was written in the log:
    <b>"SOAP Runtime: SOAP Runtime exception: 111 occurred in method XP_READ_TAG of class CL_SOAP_XP at position 1
    SOAP Runtime: Exception message: Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b>.  I also looked at SAP Note 919886 which states that it can be dumps in the system, missing configuration or the path prefix of the RFC destination that is incorrect.  I cannot find any ST22 entries.  The trace file looks as follows:

    Hi,
    I have the same problem as described.
    Can you give me a little more information about the error you have solved in the proxy.
    Thanks for help

  • Tomcat web.xml "display-name" using flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet

           Hello,
    When my web application starts with the BlazeDS servlet flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet defined in the web.xml we have an error because in the display-name defined at top level in web.xml we have some text containing character ':'. The error is traced to inside the function
             flex.management.BaseControl.getObjectName()
    Which gets the object name, and this function calls
       BaseControl.getApplicationId()
    which finally calls
    ServletConfig.getServletContext().getServletContextName()
    This will return or display-name from the web.xml with all  it's text. This text contains among other characters the character ':'.  We use this tag for the display in the Tomcat Manager to see version  number and other of deployed project.
    After retrieving this name it is appended in the getObjectName() function to a buffer, this StringBuffer that already contains flex.runtime. and  now this name is appended (still with all that we are using for Tomcat  Manager with ':' character and other). After the name, other things are  appended. Our problem is that, after constructing this StringBuffer an instance of javax.management.ObjectName is created. In it's constructor it takes a String name  as input. This String is parsed in base of characters ':', '*', '?',  '\n' and so on, and since we have some of these characters in our  display-name it all goes wrong.
       My question is, if this is a bug, a limitation or if it is documented that using flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet we can not use certain characters in the display-name of the web.xml?
       Greetings, Tim

    I have found that this is a bug and there is an issue open at the "Adobe Bug and Issue Management System", BLZ-617. I don't know if work is in progress, but when that issue is closed the problem will be solved.

  • How to use sequence in client web proxy.

    Hi,
    I have created a sequence in database.
    And I am using that in EntityImpl as:
    SequenceImpl sequence=new SequenceImpl("Sequence_name",getDBTransaction);
    setAttribute(sequence.getSequenceNumber)
    I will automatically set the attribute with the sequence val.
    But I want to get the sequence value in client web proxy generated through WSDL.
    There I write the same code and imported the files.
    But it is giving me error that:
    java.lang.nullPointException.
    How to access the sequence in client web proxy generated through WSDL.

    Hi,
    expose a method on the ViewObject and make it available to the service interface. In Web Services it does not make sense to create dependencies between a client and the implementation detail of the service.

  • Issue with calling an external web service using web service proxy

    Hi,
    I've created several web services using JDeveloper succesfully in the past, however I'm getting an issue with one that was working ok previously. Have spoken to the developers of the external web service and they say they haven't changed anything. Also if I test the external web service through soapUI for example it seems fine so it would seem that the issue is with the autogenerated code created by JDeveloper.
    Basically I get the following exception as it sends the request to the external service:
    java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Bad Authentication header format: 'Basic realm="Integration Server" encoding="UTF-8"'
    Expected "," at position 33
    The user name/password appear correct.
    JDev version 10.1.3.42.70
    Any ideas?
    Many Thanks

    Found the answer. Basically I had one proxy web service working and one not both linking to a middle tier written in web methods. THe issue actually ended up being with the web methods code in that the one web service (that was not working) was put together using a backwards compatability mode. Once this was switched back then started working again in JDev.

  • Web Proxy Server 3.6 with Administration Server using SSL connection

    In your manual: Administrators Guide Sun ONE Web Proxy Server Version 3.6 SP3 for UNIX you wrote:
    You should also make the administrative connection a mandatory SSL connection
    Instead of using http://servername:port_number
    I need to use:

    How can I do that?

    HI
    To enable https for the admin,
    Create a certifcate for the proxy admin
    Next, From 'Admin Preferences', click on 'Encryption on/off'
    From the 'Encryption on/off'; screen that appears, click on the 'on' radio button. Select the certficate from the alias list and click on OK to enable encryption for the cerficate you have installed for your admin server.
    Now restart you admin server.
    You wil now be able to connect to your admin using https

  • Can i use flex to consume web services?

    I am not a Flex developer and before delving into it I want
    to be sure that it satisfies my project requirements. Mainly,
    consuming web services. the other part of the project are a bunch
    of buttons and graphs that constitute any GUI. so I think Flex can
    handle this part as good as Flash.
    Currently, I am using flash but my current client insists on
    using flex. so my question is: can I develop in Flex whatever I can
    develop in flash? or are there limitations?

    If you are developing applications in Flash, then you will
    love Flex. Flex will make you much more productive than Flash for
    producing applications of any complexity. You can do at least
    "most" of what you can do in Flash, and more. There might be a few
    things you can do only in Flash, or more easily in Flex, but your
    client has it right. They want Flex and they should want it. Check
    out the FB3 help for the WebService, RemoteObject, and HTTPService
    components.
