Web re-skill agent tool

Dear All,
Actually I have ICM7.2.7, and recently I checked the agent re-skill agent web tool in AW setup, I want to know what is the link I should insert in IE and how to login to change agent skill, is that with user list in Configuration Manager user
Can I give permission to specific user to change through specific skills?
Appreciate your support as usual,
Regards,
Mohamed Gheta

So, the permissions aren't that granular.  Any supervisor can log in with their supervisor account.  Once logged in they can only see the agents who belong to their team.  However, they can assign any skill to their agents.  This shouldn't be that big of a problem as your supervisors are supposed to know what they are doing (assuming proper training).  Also, to answer your question ahead of time, there is no way to track who changed what through agent reskilling.

  • Pdf  WEB PAGES  -  MISSING SNAPSHOT TOOL (and others)

I recently installed Adobe reader 9 and this has been a severely retrograde move. My university course makes ALL our lecture notes and documents avaialble OVER OUR INTRANET (i.e. as WEB PAGES) as pdf documents - we used to be able to simply click on the link and view them in a webpage, then use the Adobe snapshot tool whenever necessary to extract pictures or text from the notes (which often have ENORMOUS variations in font size and picture resolution WITHIN the ONE DOCUMENT) and paste them into a temporary document in order to blow them up and print them out so we can SEE them. They also often needed to be ROTATED before they could be printed out.
Now however, the Adobe reader 9, when we view these documents IN A WEB PAGE, has NO tools that allow us to do these VERY IMPORTANT MEASURES to make our lecture notes READABLE. All it allows us to do is to print it as it is!
In an incredibly demanding and intensive course, we now have to WASTE TIME we can ILL AFFORD by saving the document (which we DON'T WANT or NEED TO SAVE) and THEN OPEN it, use the tools which suddenly appear in Adobe reader 9 when opening a saved document, do what we need to do to print out something readable, then remember to delete what we've saved.
This we have to do OVER and OVER AGAIN - it is UNELIEVABLY INCONSIDERATE and ANNOYING.
We are already under HUGE pressure in our course, and students in the REAL WORLD do NOT have rich American mummies and daddies who pay all our expenses - we CANT AFFORD to buy every new expensive Adobe program just because our university decides to use pdf for everything.
If anyone has information that there IS a way to do snapshots, rotation etc on a pdf document VIEWED IN A WEB PAGE, could you please advise us here? Thankyou!

Thnakyou for your reply - there's definitley no way the uni will change their standard format, and it's really not their fault anyway. I wanted to re-load Adobe 7 but can't find it anywhere on the Adobe website, and do not want to risk loading it from elsewhere!

  • Issue with re-skilling agents in bulk

We tried to re-skill about 30 agents in bulk and change the competence level at the same time. Uccx took the change but, we noticed that agents were in a ready state even with calls were in the queue.
We went back and one by one re-skilled them again and at that point I'm told it worked...agents received calls.
Anyone ever had any issues with re-skilling agents in bulk?
We are on UCCX 8.5.1 SU3
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi PARADOX-RED,
Based on the error messages that you provided, please remove the connector software from Control Panel completely. Then, in the problematic computer, please locate
to: Control Panel-> System-> select Change settings. And select the Computer Name tab in the System Properties dialog box, click
change button. Then in the Computer Name/Domain Changes dialog box, please take the computer out of the domain as a workgroup, and rejoin in new domain.
Please check if this issue can be solved. If it still exists, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Hope this helps.

  • Web-based data visualization tools

Hi.  I originally posted this question to the LV forum, but I am going to modify my question because I think Diadem may be a good solution for us.
I am embarking on a interesting research project that will involve recording lots of physiological signals from patient monitors in a hospital.  I will be recording signals like BP, spO2, Pulserate, ECG, etc.
Right now, my main design concern is how to give clinicians access to the data after it is recorded.  I think Diadem might be a good solution, but I really want it to be web-based.
    Here is my wish list:
    - Store the data securely, where access can be restricted and controlled (e.g. user must login)
    - Allow users (who are granted access) to login and view historical data via a simple web browser
    - Allow users to pick datasets amd zoom, scroll, etc.
    - Allow user to view data in stacked plots (e.g. so they can see multiple signals simultaneously on the screen and scroll the time axis)
    - Allow user to annotate data (e.g. add comments at specific timestamps)
Do you have any reccomendations for a web-based data visualization tool like this?  Do you think Diadem meet my needs?

    Hello J Osborne,
You application sounds like a great fit for DIAdem and the DataFinder, with the exception of the Web-based nature of the application. We currently do not offer a native web interface to DIAdem and it's features, but there are ways to accomplish that using established technologies such as remote clients ...
Here are my comments to your individual questions:
    - Store the data securely, where access can be restricted and controlled (e.g. user must login)
    * The DataFinder Server (which works with DIAdem) technology can be used to give specific users access to only data they are supposed to see, so we can cover this part of your application
    - Allow users (who are granted access) to login and view historical data via a simple web browser
    * This would have to be achieved via a remote client solution, since DIAdem offers no native Web client
    - Allow users to pick datasets amd zoom, scroll, etc.
    * This is something that the DIAdem NAVIGATOR and DIAdem VIEW are very good at, including the ability to search for data sets based on specific key words, patient names, etc. and the ability to look at multiple data sets simultaneously in multiple windows with zooming and scrolling.
    - Allow user to view data in stacked plots (e.g. so they can see multiple signals simultaneously on the screen and scroll the time axis)
    * That's DIAdem VIEW, sounds like a perfect fit: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7384
    - Allow user to annotate data (e.g. add comments at specific timestamps)
    * DIAdem VIEW has the ability to highlight events with cursors, and we could easily add the ability to add comments through a custom dialog and a short script. We could prepare and demo this feature for you ...
I would be happy to discuss your application with you in more detail. Feel free to contact me at (800) 531-5066 (ask for Otmar Foehner) or via email at    otmar DOT foehner AT ni DOT com.

  • I need  Web based Dynamic Reporting tools

    Hi,
I need a Web based Dynamic Reporting tool.
I have to user oracle products and this reporting tools must support OLAP and Data Warehousing.
    thanks,

    Hi Shima,
Let me quote from Oracle Reports website:
"Oracle Reports is Oracle's award-winning, high-fidelity enterprise reporting tool. It enables businesses to give immediate access to information to all levels within and outside of the organization in an unrivaled scalable and secure environment. Oracle Reports consists of Oracle Reports Developer (a component of the Oracle Developer Suite) and OracleAS Reports Services (a component of the Oracle Application Server)."
Since you need a web-based reporting tool, this is what is available with Oracle Reports:- you cannot design reports on the web, but you can use Oracle Reports Developer to design high quality reports that are suitable for viewing on the web.
Oracle Reports support OLAP as a data source.
From your requirements, it seems that it might be worthwhile for you to check out Oracle Discoverer which is again a powerful reporting and analysis tool. Oracle Discoverer is more suitable for ad-hoc reporting and web-based analysis of data by the end-users:

  • BEx Web Application Designer old tool?

    Hi,
Someone told me that BEx Web Application Designer is an old tool that's not used anymore. And that Visual Composer and Web Dynpro are better tools to use. Is this correct?
Also, I was wondering if anyone could explain the difference between BEx Web Application Designer, Visual Composer and Web Dynpro. What situations do one use the different tools?
    Kind regards,
    Maria Perez

    Welcome to SDN
Bex Web Application is not an old tool and it is widley used for Web Reporting.
Actually the purpose of these three tools are different so all of them are extensively used.

  • Free web-based Oracle administration tool

Is there a free web-based Oracle Administration tool? Oracle SQL Developer is a free tool but not web-based. There are many web-based Shareware Oracle administration tools but I could not find a free tool. If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know.
Thank You for your help in advance!

Are you referring to the extra features or options provided by licensing Management Packs? (note that EE is needed before you may add the licenses)

  • Why does the pop up window for a printable coupon only appears briefly (in the upper left corner) and then disappear, even after putting the web site into the Tools,Options,Content,Pop-Up Exceptions?

I am at http://www.closys.com/samples_&_coupons/get_a_coupon.html and the pop up window for a printable coupon only appears briefly (in the upper left corner) and then disappears, even after putting the web site into the Tools,Options,Content,Pop-Up Exceptions. What gives and how can it be fixed. I have a time limit.
    Thanks for your solution.
    Dan

    Mha007:
Sorry, but I have already tried this too and verified that the web addresses are listed as Allow, rather than Block. After restart there was no difference, I still get the disappearing pop-up windows.
    Thanks for offering suggestions though.
Have you heard of any issues like this occurring based on the number of tabs that are open in Firefox?
Just a thought, even though I have not heard of this as an issue before. I keep about 80 tabs open regularly, because of research that I am always conducting (I am a blogger, a writer/author, a technophile-especially Green Tech.,), email, work, etc.?
I do have a check in the box for Firefox to let me know if the number of open tabs is causing slow down or other issues.
    Thanks for any help.

Anybody have any reccomendations for a web-based data visualization tool like this?
I know that people are probably going to reccomend Diadem ... but I don't think its web-based is it?

There is actually a new thing available called LabVIEW Web UI Builder.  This allows you develop web-based applications that have a custom GUI that can interface with other LabVIEW applications.  You can find more information on the Web UI Builder page on ni.com. There is also a dedicated forum that you can use to post questions about the Web UI Builder.  That forum is located here.  I hope that you find this helpful!

  • Load balancers with web servers & policy agents

I have a pair of host machines, hostA and hostB, running multiple web server instances, portalA, portalB, contentA, contentB, serviceA, serviceB, etc.
The two hosts, hostA and hostB, are sitting behind load balancers. ServiceA and serviceB must be protected by login and I have a policy agent installed on hostA and hostB for these two instances.
The load balancers respond to https://service/* and forward requests to http://serviceA:3456/* or http://serviceB:3456/* depending on the host selected by round-robin.
I've been told that serviceA and serviceB cannot be running on the default 443 port (although we could enable SSL if we wanted) in order to work nicely with the other web server instances that are behind the load balancers.
The problem is that the policy agent knows that it is running as http://serviceA:3456/.
The user makes a request to the load balancers for:
    https://service/protected.html
The load balancer passes the request to:
    http://serviceA:3456/protected.html
The agent sends a redirect to login which sends the user to:
    http://service:3456/protected.html
This final URL is not available through the load balancers and it's obviously not the public URL.
I have fqdnDefault set to 'service.x.x' so the URL is rewritten to that extent. Is there a way to tell the agent that the port it's running on is not the public port (ie. that it's behind a NAT device)? Is there a way to tell the agent that it's should actually redirect to https and not http?

    Hi,
CQ authoring does not leverage server side sessions, therefor you'll never loose data because of this.
But: As the cluster has a small delay on synchronisation, it could be, that on a write and subsequent read you'll get the old content, if you don't have sticky sessions (because both requests are not processed by the same server). Therefor I advise you to use sticky sessions in front of a CQ authoring cluster.

  • Web application with RAD tool inside for dynamic JSP building

I would realize a J2EE Web application based on JSP,Struts and eventually Spring for transaction management and iBatis for data access in my opinion very complex.
The application presents search, list and detail pages, and the information visibility depends on the user.
Each edit page could be based on a single page or many tabs, and a tab could contain entity's information or information associated to the entity subject of the page, displayed as list. The informations in editing phase will be controlled by javascript rules.
A web application administrator will set the information's grants (hidden, readonly, read and write) for each entity managed inside the application.
Now there is the complication: each page (search, list, detail) must be built by the web application administrator with a configurator/builder directy inside the same web application on the server!
For example, for a detail page:
    1) each tab must be defined and named: so I can't develop a static number of tabs, in which I managed a fixed set of data inside each of these tabs. I must develop a page with all the entity's fields and all the rules, and then the web application administrator set which informations must be available for each tab from the same page detail developed. The tabs in which there's a list could be displayed or not, and the data in the list follow the grants setted by the web application administrator.
    2) the web application administrator can specify all the data inside a tab: every tab will be built indicating which fields show or edit if the user has the grants. For example for entity1, we could define a detail page for user1 with field1, field3 and field2, while for user2 we could define the detail page with tab1 within field2, and a second tab, tab2 within field3.
    3) the web application administrator can specify the layout inside the tab, indicating the pixel position inside the tab, or the application could provide a visual tool, in HTML, in which there is a design area, and in which the web application administrator clicks in a point and positions in it an information, and even specify the style's properties (color, font, background,...)
    4) the application must provide to the users the possibility to define new fields for an entity, and must manage them adding in whichever tab for that entity. For such informations will be possible only management without controls except the controls of type (data, int, money, ...)
In my opinion point 3 I think it's part of a report tool and not of detail visualization; moreover all the styles of a page must be personalized, not only the informations contained inside the tabs. I think the only solution in a highly configurabile application is to show the search/detail fields 1 for row, and not with a positioning based on pixel coordinates or positioning with a RAD tool.
    I ask to you:
    - have you ever seen or realized web application that they supply application design tools within the same application, realized in HTML+Javascript?
    - is realizable this kind of application?
    - ...any suggestion to supply for proceeding?
Honestly my ideas are to realize points 1 and 2; I suppose point 3 is not feasible and that the result of the styles customization is little appropriated; for point 4 I suppose to simplify the management of new data by managing all the new ones inside the same tab, or I will have to think another possible solution...
Thanks to everyone has interesting ideas or suggestions to give.

have you ever seen or realized web application that they supply >application design tools within the same application, realized in >HTML+Javascript? Yes, Oracle HTML DB is one such purchasable off the shelf :)
is realizable this kind of application? I would think so - yes. It requiresa good team - 4 or 5 developers with excellent jsp/servlet knowledge :)
    - ...any suggestion to supply for proceeding? Such kind of functionality is achievable only in 1 way-DB, always. You would store the information for each entity and the permissions for each attribute of that entity per user in the db. You can consider having roles (teams), assign permissions to the roles and then add users to the roles so that they inherit the permissions. You should be able to ovderride the permissions per individual user too.
I would say you first plan this out in a piece of paper, convert it into relationships in the db. Implementing the jsp solution is by far the easist (& tedious :)), IMO

  • WSDL / Web Service Skeleton Generation Tool

    Hello,
My name is Joe Roberts. I am a developer in the Oracle Insurance Global Business Unit, a recent Oracle acquisition. I currently have the need to create a web service based on a schema that has certain base fields that never change and certain other base fields that do change based upon each customer implementation. What I am looking for is a tool that will generate a WSDL and web service skeleton code from a schema from the command line so that I can automate this process. Does Oracle offer such a tool? I have looked for one but have not found it. The only tool that I have been able to find that does this is Spring-WS but I would rather not use Spring-WS and go with an Oracle solution if possible.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Web-based user management tools???

Are there any pre-packaged or off-the-shelf tools one can use to manage unix users and groups in DS 5.2? (preferrably web based) I have found a few open source apps that are web-based but they don't seem to be production quality.
For now, I'm creating LDIF files and importing them or using the GUI console. This is tedius and the other sys admins that aren't familiar with ldap will find it difficult.
One of the open source tools I found was "Directory Administrator" which runs only under gnome, we don't use gnome.
Another tool is "LDAP Account Manager" which was originally built to manage samba users and their unix user/group attributes. We don't use samba and this application does not allow you to seperate the samba and unix components.
There has to be a simple web-based tool for managing unix users/groups. If any of you know of a commercial or free app, please let me know.

I urege to to take a look at phpldapadmin, an open-source php/web based tool for managing ldap/directory servers. We have been using it for over a year now, and find that it is easy to install, works well, and continues to receive updates on a periodic basis. Another nice thing is that since you have the php source, it's easy to modify for local modifications.
    You can find it at:

  • IPCC Express IllegalAccessException when re-skilling agents

I have recently adopted an IPCC Express version 4.0(5) system as part of changing jobs. I am finding that supervisors on the system are receiving the following error when trying to re-skill and agent through Subsystems -> RmCm -> Resources:
    Error:IllegalAccessException
This doesn't always happen. It is intermittent. I went to see the behavior as demonstrated by one of our call center supervisors. I saw her re-skill two agents with no issue and then receive the error several times when trying to re-skill the third. We went to my computer where I tried. The re-skill was successful. We went back to her machine and re-skilled the same agent, and it worked. The IPCC Express (CRS) server is here in the same building that we are in, so it shouldn't be any kind of time-out due to latency.
I queried the error on the support forums and the Cisco support site and found nothing related to this particular issue. Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    Hi
This issue might require indepth trace analysis.
I will request you to open a case with TAC in this regard
