Web service builder

Hi
Can anyone help me with some suggestions on a Java project?
I have to make an "Web service builder", but the problem is that I' m not familiar on working with web services. Can somebody give some advices? How do I suppose to start? What to use?
Any advice would be good.
Thanks,
Marius

To be honest I don' t know even too much about web service builder. But, from what I know, should be an application that allows the user to create them web services from their own source code. So what I need is a web interface ( that would be the easy part ). My application should allow the users to upload their own java code, an executable application. Then my app should covert that code into an web service ( I understood that glassfish also offer some toolkit for this part), generates the config files, and return a link to webservice.
That would be a summary about what I need to do.

    Hi Jacco,
    What is the proper version of oracle.xml? I'm not sure that the Oracle XML Parser stuff is the root of my problems.
    Just another fact: When I removed all inherited libs during deployment, OAS can't deploy and start my Web service because of a NullPointerException:
    Operation failed with error:
    Unexpected exception parsing XML document from class path resource [context/applicationContext.xml];
    nested exception is javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError:
    Provider oracle.xml.jaxp.JXDocumentBuilderFactory could not be instantiated:
    java.lang.NullPointerException Why does OAS still needs oracle.xml.jaxp.JXDocumentBuilderFactory??

  • Create MII transaction & MII Web Service and consume them in ABAP

    Hi,
    there is a document from Pradip Ray (SAP Labs India) published on SDN:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/208239ac-3161-2b10-f29a-abec6754942e
    He explains how to build a transaction in MII, expose it as a web service then consume it in an ABAP program by generating a ABAP consumer proxy for this service.
    I have done this and it works but the problems started when I tried to generate a second ABAP consumer proxy for a second web service build in MII.
    In the ABAP system , transaction SE80 then display proxy class:  ( e.g. ZMIICO_XACUTE_WSSOAP )
    then go to Properties tab , under sub-screen "External key" you can see the "Name: XacuteWSSoap".
    This is the web service port type name generated at MII and is always the same for all the MII web services. When you try to generate a second proxy for a second MII web service you get the following message  "A proxy already exists for object XacuteWSSoap (namespace http://www.sap.com/xMII) "
    This can be changed by editing the WSDL file but then another problem occurs which is related to the "InputParams" complex type. This tag gets generated with the same name for all the web services in MII.  The generation of the ABAP structure with the following name: INPUT_PARAMS will override the previous one .  This means that the previous ABAP proxy will not work anymore.
    Has any one experimented this ?
    Daryoush Delgari.
    This is the generated WSDL on MII:

    Hi Daryoush,
    Little surprise for you, I got the solution ;o)
    In fact, editing the WDSL file, you can change the parameter names which will be generated in Web Dynpro. You have to change the tag <complex type ...>.
    For example :
    <s:complexType name="InputParams">
    Could become :
    <s:complexType name="*Zs1*InputParams">
    and later in the code, you should reference the element appropriately
      <s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="InputParams" type="s0:InputParams"/>
    should become :
       <s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="InputParams" type="s0:*Zs1*InputParams"/>
    But take care to keep name="InputParams", it's the xlm name which will be used by MII to do the matching...
    Take care also that you have to do the same for output, that means ROW and ROWSET complex type...
    So, to be concrete, here are an example with in bold everything I changed against the original MII WDL file...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <definitions targetNamespace="http://www.sap.com/xMII" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/" xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:s0="http://www.sap.com/xMII" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
        <!-- Types -->

  • Service Builder

    Hi everyone,
    I learn OData and SAPUI5. for tutorial I find this document http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40d59930-791c-3010-2abd-ac7793ad6c57?QuickLink=index&…
    I faced some problems.
    1) when I click the 'Call Browser' I got error. please look the attachment.
    2)when I created project with netweaver gateway service builder only 3 nodes created
    Data Model
    Service Implementation
    Generated Objects
    for registering service I need service maintenance node but is not exist.
    Can anyone help me?

    To be honest I don' t know even too much about web service builder. But, from what I know, should be an application that allows the user to create them web services from their own source code. So what I need is a web interface ( that would be the easy part ). My application should allow the users to upload their own java code, an executable application. Then my app should covert that code into an web service ( I understood that glassfish also offer some toolkit for this part), generates the config files, and return a link to webservice.
    That would be a summary about what I need to do.

  • Examples about ABAP Proxies and Web Services creation

    Hi everybody.
    I have been reading SAP NW PI 7.1 help about Web Service creation and sincerely, I am a bit confused. Also I have searched SDN forums, blogs and documents but my confusion persist.
    I will try to depict my integration scenario below.
    SLD are conformed by two machines: SAP ECC 6.0 system, client 100 and SAP PI 7.1 system, client 001.
    There are two integration scenarios.
    1. ABAP Client Proxy -> PI -> Web Service
    I need to consume a Web Service provided by a third part. They provided me with WSDL files and I imported them into ESR. I already construted all other objects (data types, message types, etc.). In the examples I found I cann't see what to do with those definitions, I don't find any suitable example. This is an asynchronous scenario. The Web Service will be consumed from SAP ECC 6.0 system through an ABAP Cliente Proxy.
    2. Web Service -> PI -> ABAP Server Proxy
    I need to provide a Web Service for others to consume it. I already have created the WSDL for Service Interface I created in ESR using the respective wizard in Integration Builder. This is an asynchronous scenario. The Web Service will be consumed by others outside landscape configuration. When the Web Service is consumed must run an ABAP Server Proxy.
    In spite of my investigation about Web Services building in SAP NW PI 7.1 I cann't finish my work successfully.
    I just need a good example, any suitable example for each integration scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rafael Rojas.

    Hi,
    1. ABAP Client Proxy -> PI -> Web Service
    1. Create all necessary objects in ESR
    2. Create integration scenario objects with PROXY as sender SOAP or WS adapter as receiver
    3. Create client proxy in your SAP backend using SPROXY
    4. Create ABAP client proxy to execute the proxy which then will call your PI runtime to execute the webservice.
    2. Web Service -> PI -> ABAP Server Proxy
    1. Create your necessary objects in ESR
    2. Generate server proxy in your back end system
    3. Create integration scenario objects with PROXY as receiver and SOAP or WS adapter as sender
    4. Generate WSDL from integration scenario and pass it to your partner.
    You can find many blogs which discuss these steps in more detail.

  • Java Web service

    Hi
    I need some help with task I have to do. i mast make a " Java web service builder for java application". The problem is that I don' t know exactly what i have to do and how to start.
    I just know that I need a interface where the user can upload java source code, which will be compiled then, and after that must be transformed into a web service. And I don' t know how to do that.
    If anybody can give some advice, i would appreciate it.
    Thanks

    hi,
    Java web service builder for java application- Java web service : http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.6/tutorial/doc/

  • Web Services deployment error "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)" and more

    I'm developing a large-scale VI with an associated web service VI in 2010 SP1. The "auxiliary VI" is responsible for data capture and analysis as well as communications and data storage. It is fairly large and communicates with the web method VI via network-shared variables [and I'm using the DSC module to allow event handling on the shared variables].
    I can build and deploy the web method VI just fine and it runs great. However, I need to communicate between the auxiliary and web method VI's, and it looks like I can't do that without including the auxiliary vi in the RESTful web service build [by the way, is there any way to do this with web service builds?]. When I added the auxiliary vi to the build, it built fine, but then during the deployment I got:
    "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)"
    The next time I tried to deploy, I got a spurious NI Auth dialog per this KnowledgeBase article. Following the instructions for case 1 ["Application Web Server failure since last start"], I ran Services.msc and found that NI Application Web Service was indeed not running. I tried to restart the service but got this error:
    "The NI Application Web Server service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service."
    The KnowledgeBase article suggests restarting at this point and I did, but I still see the same behavior. So I really have a few questions:
    1. Is there any way to deploy a network-shared variable library across a deployed web service and local VI?
    2. What causes "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)" upon deployment? A google search returned very little.
    3. What does this mean: "The NI Application Web Server service on Local Computer
    started and then stopped..." and what do I need to do to get my Application Web Server back up?
    [to heap on the pile... I tried to re-enable the Application Web Server from localhost:3580 and got an error. Then localhost:3580 went off-line also.]
    thanks!

    Update.
    I noticed that the Application Web Server was trying to deploy the broken web service and was choking on it. There seemed to be no way to erase the .lvws originally created by the build. I could delete the deployment folder at $(WebServicesRoot)\UserServices\deployed\<Service Name>-<Globally Unique Identifier (GUID)> but it was recreated from the .lvws every time I attempted to restart the service.
    So I called NI and they pointed me to this directory [in XP]:
    C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\WebServices\Standalone
    The .lvws was in this folder. I deleted it and now I can run the ApplicationWebService. Apparently this undocumented hidden file is a "not-quite-bug" that is recognized as needing a fix in upcoming releases.

  • Deploy web service on xp embedded

    Hi all
    I've trouble to run a web service on a xp embedded system. The web service is working fine in my development environment LV 2011 and I've created an installer for my main application there the lvws file is included as described in web services FAQ:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7747#toc12
    After installation on the target machine I can't access the web service. Also if calling localhost:3580 then I get an Access Error.
    But in the administrative tools of the system control panel I can see that the NI System Web Server as well the NI Application Web Server are started.
    For further investigation I've added the "Distributed System Manager" to my installer. With this tool I can see all my deployed web services on my development system but on the XP embedded target system with RTE nothing is listed.
    I've installed my application to a reference system running XP professional to exclude that the problem is caused by XP embedded. But the behavior is exactly the same. Till now I've tested only local so the system security settings as firewall and ports should be no problem. But to be sure I've deactivated the firewall with no success again... I can't access the webservice. I've found often the suggestions in the forum to check whether the web service is enabled. But I fail already then accessing http://localhost:3580.
    Any Ideas???
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    that help document is somewhat outdated.
    You are seeing 2 different problems: 1) you cannot view the Web Monitoring and Configuration utility using localhost:3580  2) Your web service did not get installed.
    For the first issue -->
    You most likely did not include the "NI Web Interface Framework 2011" in your installer.  The help doc you mentioned does not tell you to do this, as it's not required for your web service to work. However, if you want to change any of your web server settings after install, you will need this additional installer.
    For the second issue -->
    You most likely did not include your Web Service Build Spec as a source file in your installer.  The help doc says to put your LVWS file as your installer source, but that is not correct. You need to include the actual web service build spec item as a source file (not the web service build spec's output files, like LVWS).
    Let me know if either of these helps you out.

  • Web Services Auxiliary VI in 2011

    In LV 2010, a Web Service Auxiliary VI began to run upon web service deployment. After upgrading to 2011 [f2], auxiliary VI's no longer run upon deployment of their web service. I have validated this with a test project:
    1. Create a new auxiliary VI that fills a boolean global with the value TRUE.
    2. Add a new web service build. Include the VI as an "Auxiliary VI" in the Service VI's portion of the build specs.
    3. Build and deploy the web service. Check the global front panel and observe that the boolean is still FALSE.
    Since this behavior pretty much nukes the entire concept of Aux VI's, I'm curious what's going on [well, I also want it to not happen in a desperate way]. Can anybody else verify this?

    Well, that was clearly not what was causing the problem, but the fact remains that I had a working webservice before upgrading [it's hard to tell right now whether the upgrade to 2011 or f2 caused the problem] and now I've got the following problem:
    First a description of what I'm doing. I have an Auxiliary VI which enables and requests value change notifications for two NSV's. The notification refnum [cast as an int] and SV names are sent to globals. As an Aux VI, this code is automatically run upon deployment of the webservice. [image below]
    Next, I have a service VI [image below]. The notification refum is cast back to the correct notification type, and SV value change notifications are registered for. The registration is passed to an event structure set to run when either of the SV values change. This web service is called by the web client periodically [the long expiration time (~1 day) and lack of a loop for the event structure are required for my intended web service behavior].
    In LV 2010 SP1, this did exactly what I wanted it to do: the client accesses the service VI, but waits for a response until the data generator changes the SV values. I considered this a fairly clever and lightweight solution for my very-low-trigger-rate application.
    Now, with LV 2011 [f2], the event structure never triggers. I've verified that the notification refnum and SV names provided to the service VI are correct. I also checked that this process works [the event structure executes] when the above two diagrams are placed in a two-pane sequence structure. The Aux VI and Service VI's should belong to the same application instance, and I can't imagine this having changed [else what is the point of an Aux VI?]. But the evidence still seems to indicate that the notification refnum passed from the Aux VI is no longer valid when used by the Service VI.
    Any thoughts?

  • Data Federator - Building Web Services Data Source - Request Guidance

    Hello -
    I am trying to build a web services data source in Data Federator.
    I have:
    1. In ECC, I have created a web service, proxy, port, endpoint, etc. and am testing it with WS Navigator
    2. I have created a Project in Data Federator of the type web service
        a. Here I have assigned the WSDL URL (generated in ECC) as the URL
        b. I have setup web service authentication using the same userid, pwd in the web services definition (note: I have set the
            web services authentication to 'NONE' to avoing authorization issues)\
        c. I am now trying to "Generate Operations"
    I keep getting the error :
    The File Access Parameters are not valid (directory path = <HERE IS THE PATH TO THE WSDL WITH THE HOST/PORT stripped OUT>; file pattern = document
    I believe that it is finding the WSDL, becuase when I change the WSDL from 'Document' to 'RPC', the error changes with the file pattern = rpc.
    What needs to be done to the file access parameter piece.
    PLEASE provide guidance.  Thanks.

    Ananya,
    We are using XI to load data to BI from source system. XI basically uses the same concept as Web Services - Real time data concept via RFC embeded in Proxies.
    I was using web services to test data load - eventually we will use XI.
    KJs blog is pretty good. I was able to get data loaded - after several iterations and several OSS notes. It is still not perfect - there are several manual steps . I am going to pick KJs brain on that.
    We are on SP10 and looks like there are several bugs in RSRDA. Some of these are addressed in SP11 an SP12.
    Some notes to consider are
    0001003963, 0001008276,0001009260 and 001003265.
    Let me know if you have any questions.
