Web Service Counter Current Connections

SCOM sends a warning each time web service current connections value crosses a threshold value.  What exactly current connection denotes? Is it the number of users accessing the site What could be the possible solutions of reducing the number
of warninigs except increasing the threshold value in SCOM.

It signifies the Number of current client connections to the W3Svc Service as described here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb687493.aspx
How to bring that number down really depends on the web services. As far as the SharePoint web services go, only thing you can do is add more WFEs. For custom WCF services that take a lot of time, you can rebuild them so that they process work asynchronously.

  • Is it possible to call web services in adobe connect application?

    I have facing one security issue  in adobe connect
    Error Description is "Security error accessing url
    Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://xxxxxx/WebService.asmx?wsdl)"
    Is it possible to call web services in adobe connect application?
    Thanks and regards
    Selvan

    OK, so it's a plain Flex security issue, not related to the Connect application, probably due to crossdomain misconfiguration.
    Please read http://www.adobe.com/devnet/articles/crossdomain_policy_file_spec.html and http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/fplayer9_security.html
    You may want to ask for help in the proper Flex forum. Also, download Tour de Flex and look at the example under "Flex Data Access3 -> "WebService".

  • After 10.6.2 update Entourage Web Services Edition cannot connect

    After I updated 10.6.2 patch, Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition cannot connect to the Exchange server anymore.
    I removed the office 2008 and re-installed with all the available patches. Standard version of Entourage is able to connect and synchronize however Web Services Edition is not able to connect. Web Services Edition is using Exchange Web Services as primary connection protocol to the Exchange Server.
    Nothing has changed on the server side and Apple Mail can connect to the exchange server. It seems to be related with 10.6.2 update. Any idea what might cause the problem and how to fix it?

    I managed to get the connection log from a working system and compared it to mine. During the Autodiscovery part the only difference I found was related with timezone. Below is the exact text from the log files:
    *Successful connection:* <t:TimeZoneContext><t:TimeZoneDefinition Id="Georgian Standard Time"/></t:TimeZoneContext></
    *failed connection:* <t:TimeZoneContext><t:TimeZoneDefinition Id="(null)"/></t:TimeZoneContext></
    After figuring out this detail I checked the computer timezone again.
    Both computer and Entourage was set to GMT+4 but the cities were different. Computer was set to “GMT+4 Dubai” and Entourage was “GMT+4 Abu Dhabi, Muscat”
    Even though time zones were the same, Dubai is not defined as a timezone city in Entourage. I changed the computer timezone to “GMT+4 Muscat” and the connection established.
    This is the most stupid error I ever seen...

  • Blackberry Protect web service does NOT connect remote to my phone

    Can't find any similar problems on the net which is worrying...
    Bold 9700, regularly registered to BIS
    I installed Balckberry protect a few times hoping it would solve the problem
    Essentially It all works but when I connect via the web service, I cannot connect to my phone(I am emulating a lost phone scenario) I tried to block the phone remotely, play a sound, change the screen message...NOTHING works
    The backups are done regularly
    Can anyone help?

    I'd contact your service provider if the rebooting and resetting network settings did not work. A locked phone (locked to a specific network) will not allow you to connect to another provider's network. It is the phone itself that makes calls (which is why you can still make an emergency call from a phone with no sim card in it) and receives sms. The sim acts as an "enabler" so to speak.

  • Is there an issue connecting to the web services server currently?

    Keep getting an errror, "problem connecting to web services server" This used to work fine. I tried turning off web services and it allowed me to, but now I can't re-enable them.

    Hi Pirmin87,
    There was a known brief outage a few days ago that could have resulted in this.
    - http://status.businesscatalyst.com/
    However at the moment everything should be connecting fine.  If still an on-going issue please reach BC direct chat support for further investigation.

  • RV320 SSL VPN web service unable to connect port 56000 56001...

    I have recently installed a RV320 dual WAN small business router in order to use the SSL VPN functionality to allow secure access to our intranet pages which are hosted on a server inside our network. I have the latest firmware installed on the router.
    With the firewall feature of the RV320 disabled - After logging in to the router remotely via the HTTPS interface, I am able to use the web-based services such as SSH and NetworkPls. However, when using the HTTP and HTTPS services I receive a web browser unable to connect error on port 56000, 1, 2, 3 ... This is regardless of whether I enter a URL or IP address on the network behind the router or on the internet.
    Enabling the firewall feature of the RV320 gives a different result - when any IP or URL is entered into the box in the second image below, the router log-in page is loaded instead of the required site. I have pasted an extract from the log at the bottom of this post although it doesn't seem to contain any relevant information. As a separate issue, you will also notice that users connecting to the router brings up [HACK] SynFlooding Attack in error.
    Can anyone explain why this is happening? Alternatively, does anyone have a guide for setting up a IPSec VPN with this router? There seems to be very little literature available for this model.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    SSL Log
    User ben login success from 221.142.25.181

    After lots of trial and error, I was able to eliminate this problem.  What I wound up doing is defining the XE service again in the listener.ora file:
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (SID_NAME = XE)
          (ORACLE_HOME = C:\ProgramData\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server)
    I know that typically you should not have to do this, especially since I already had defined DEFAULT_SERIVCE_LISTENER = (XE) at the bottom of the listener.ora file.  Explicitly defining the XE service in the listener.ora file allows the listener to find it while the system is running under the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.  The only hiccup I found by doing this is that the XE service is discovered twice by the listener when the system is NOT running under the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.  It still works OK.  The listener just seems to ignore the repeated definition of the XE service (see output below):
    C:\ProgramData\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\bin>lsnrctl service
    LSNRCTL for 32-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production on 13-JUN-2013 10:03:15

    The command completed successfully
    If anyone has a cleaner solution for this problem, please let me know.  Otherwise, I am moving forward with what I did.

  • Java Web Services wrapper and connection management.

    We are currently evaluating the use of the SES Java web-services for a custom front end. I've downloaded the sample code and have read through the documentation but I'm confused on a few points.
    We will be OSSO protecting the app, so the flow I think I need to use is (on the OracleSearchService object):
    *setSoapURL
    *proxyLogin
    *setSearchUser
    *doOracleSearch
    (do whatever with results)
    From what I can tell each one of these does a separate call into the actual web service. Does this keep a connection open between these calls and if so how do we need to manage our connections in this case. Is there an explicit close method we should be calling? I see that we can get an OracleSoapHTTPConnection from the undocumented getConnection method on OracleSearchService but I'm unsure if we are supposed to interact with it directly.
    In a related vein how should we managing our OracleSearchService objects? Should we save an instance for each user in our httpSession, or just create a new instance on each call?
    Any insights appreciated,
    Jason

    No Problem at all
    Nomally the Web Service is big different between Web application. or you can build your Web service structure like web application structure. It depends on the web server:
    If the Web Server of hosting company has WEB Service framework, you just need know how to deploy your Web service to Web Service framework and How to deploy to Web Server. In this case, you need deploy it two time, one is for Web Server framework and one is for Web Service framework
    If the Web Server of hosting company doesn't has WEB Service framework, you need build your own Web Service framework into a web application, then you just need know how to deploy your web application with Web service into Web Server framework

  • Problem with web service proxy and connections.xml

    JDev 11.1.14
    Hello
    I'm trying to create a web service proxy that takes advantage of the connections.xml so that the endpoints can be changed without recompiling the code (as described here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/b31974/web_services.htm#ADFFD548 - 13.2.2 How to Create a New Web Service Connection)
    I created the web service proxy using the Jdev wizard and a test client. The access to the web service works as expected.
    The client test code is :
    package model;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.proxy.*;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.root.Currency;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    public class wsTest {
      public wsTest() {
        super();
      public void testIt() throws NamingException {
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = new CurrencyConvertor();
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public static void main(String [] args) throws NamingException {
        wsTest tt = new wsTest();
        tt.testIt();
    }I then create a connection as described in the docs.
    I now have a connections.xml as follows:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <References xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/jndi">
       <Reference name="CurrencyConvertor" className="oracle.adf.model.connection.webservice.impl.WebServiceConnectionImpl" xmlns="">

          </RefAddresses>So far so good.
    I then created a new jspx page with a button that calls a method in a request scoped bean.
    The method is supposed to use the connections.xml to get the web service proxy in order to call the web service.

        ctx = ADFContext.getCurrent().getConnectionsContext();
        WebServiceConnection wsc;
        wsc = (WebServiceConnection) ctx.lookup("CurrencyConvertor");
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = wsc.getJaxWSPort(CurrencyConvertor.class);   -- NPE here
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public void testws(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
        try {
          testIt();

  • Cannot enable ePrint Web Services - get internet connection error for HP LaserJet 1102W

    I have a HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  We just changed over to Comcast internet service from AT&T where my HP LaserJet 1102W was set up for ePrint.  After several hours, I was finally able to add the 1102W printer to the Comcast network, access the Embedded Web Server tool and print wirelessly but I cannot set up ePrint.  I have deleted the printer but cannot get it to connect to Web Services.  I keep on getting:  Connection Error. Check Internet Connection but again, I can print wirelessly successfully to the printer but would like to be able to set it back up for ePrint.  My Comcast router is an Arris TG862.
    I have updated the firmware and used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool but still am not able to get the ePrint Web Services to connect.  Here is the information from the Networking page of the EWS:

    Thank you!

    Hi Surf1981,
    I understand that you're not able to enable web services on your printer.  I would try steps listed below.
    1. Open an internet browser type printer's IP address.
    2. Should bring you to the printer's status page.
    3. Select networking tab at the top.
    4. Left hand side select Network Identification.
    5. Under DNS address Configuration select Manual DNS Server.
    6. For Preferred enter 8.8.8.8
    7. For Alternate enter 8.8.4.4
    8. Select apply. You might get a warning saying this could interrupt connection that's fine.
    9. Turn printer off for about 30 seconds then try again.

  • Web Service exception: Closed Connection

    I build a J2EE 1.3 Web Service using JDeveloper 10.1.3 by generating it from a PL/SQL procedure. It works fine on the embedded server and even on the standalone OC4J. When I deploy it on an OAS 10.1.3 it works fine initially but the day after I start to receive the following SOAP message:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    - <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    - <SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    <faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Server.Exception:</faultcode>
    <faultstring>java.sql.SQLException: java.sql.SQLException: Closed Connection</faultstring>
    <faultactor>/login/LoginTesthire</faultactor>
    </SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

    When I program a non-web application I use the following code to connect to and query a SQL Server database (I have omitted the try -catch sections):
    Class.forName("com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver");
    String url = "jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:2766;databaseName=Cosmotim;IntegratedSecurity=true";
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url);
    Statement s1=conn.createStatement();
    String select="SELECT * FROM [Table name]";
    ResultSet DBSet=s1.executeQuery(select1);But when I use the same code in a Web Service method with return type String and I try to deploy the Web service (to Java System Application Server PE 9 with NetBeans) I get many error messages and I can't deploy the service.
    I cannot understand why I can't deploy this WS but I can deploy other Web Services which do not use database connectivity.

  • Web Services will not connect

    I have a Officejet 8500A Plus. Trying to setup web services. Every time i try to connect I get the message "A proxy address might be required to connect to Web Services." I do not use a proxy server. I'm connected to the internet via Cox cable, through a Linksys WRT610N router, running Norton Internet Security on all connected computers (6, all getting internet fine). I have installed the printer on two of the computers and can print and access all normal 'internal' functions fine.
    Seems like a router issue to me, but I can't find anything that discusses that as a possible problem. Appreciate any ideas...

    I had a similar problem - turned out that I had set up the printer's connection to my home network using manually assigned IP addresses.  Bug in the firmware (I think), is that it doesn't allow you to enter in a DNS server (defaults to 0.0.0.0), and thus the printer cannot find the HP Web Services server.
    The workaround was to connect the printer up to the network on automatic (DHCP) mode.
    If you're already connected to the network on automatic mode, then you have a different problem.  To troubleshoot, in that case, I would test, by bypassing the router, connecting the printer directly to your cable modem.  If it works then, the the problem is how your router manages domain name lookups (a DNS problem with your router).

  • Consume external web service and experience connection timed out issue

    Hi all,
    I followed tutorial:http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_14/jdtut_11r2_14.html to consume external web service.
    At step 2,substep 4, I experience the following error:
    "DCA-40002: The WSDL document is invalid due to the following reason: WSDLException: faultCode=PARSER_ERROR: Failed to read wsdl file at:"http://www.webservicex.net/WeatherForecast.asmx?WSDL". Caused by : java.net.ConnectException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect."
    I have tried to set up proxy:Tools > Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy. But it still doesn't work. Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. I have tried these 2 tutorials before. Both worked well. Publish an web service by myself, then consume it with a client. It works. But for this external wsdl published by USA weather forecast, it doesn't work. Navigate to http://www.webservicex.net/WeatherForecast.asmx?WSDL through firefox, and right response is returned. I wonder why connection timed out occurred and how to deal with it.
    Could you please share your experience with me? Thanks.
    Thanks.

  • Web Services stateless session connection

    I have used the example of code given in the Session class, that is available as a reference, to successfully connect to the Oracle On Demand web services. This however has produced a stateful session, whereas I need to create a stateless one.
    I'd be grateful for an example of how to connect and create a stateles session in C# code.
    Thanks,
    Guy.

    I am looking for a sample as well, I am also developing integrations using .NET platform, however so far I have been using stateful only.
    I am not sure how the WSDLs downloaded are to be used to generate stateless requests.

  • When trying to initiate Web Services getting server connection error

    HP PhotoSmart 5510, 6510 and 7510 all get Server Connection Error when trying to do the initial Web Services setup.  I connected with no problem to my wireless router and have received an ip address but all three printer give me the same error when trying to set up web services.  Any insight would be appreciated.

    Hello cdecicco,
    I answered a post with similar issues where someone was unable to connect to Web Services on their printer. Here is the link:

    Let me know if this helps or you need more assistance.
    If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
    Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.
