Web Service Invalid URL

Hi All,
We are using VC 7.0 SP15. I wanted to implement the below blog:
"Viewing your Servers status with Visual Composer'
In our landscape , there are three servers: Dev, Qul and Prod.
The URLs are as follows:
Dev: http://testd.india.com:50113/?wsdl             -->   webservice System is working fine.
Qul: http://testq.india.com:50113/?wsdl             -->   not able to create webservice System .
Prod: http://testp.india.com:50113/?wsdl             -->   not able to create webservice System .
The following i have checked:
1. For qul and Prod the url are woking fine with browser.
2. Note 1236741 - Invalid Web Service URL applied and server reachable, checked by Web Service Navigator .
Thanks,
Anumit

Hi fella,
Was that because of no internet connectivity on the server or for any other reason? Can you please share how did you resolve your problem cos I am having the same...
Waiting for your kind response.

  • VC Web Service "Invalid url error", after following all steps in blog.

    I need urgent help.
    I am trying to define External Web Service System http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL
    I have completed all steps as given in https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/vc/webServiceInvalid+URL&
    But it still points me to "Invalid url for the webservice".
    I have follwing version installed, SAP NW 04 java Preview, Appl server java 6.4 sp16
    If I go to VC help, it shows versions 700.10.0027.
    I am from Java background, and new to EP, have to get in speed with VC, I have followed all steps properly, as given in above url.
    More information:
    I have installed SAP NW 04 java Preview, Appl server java 6.4 sp16
    later for VC I have installed following through SDM.
    VCBASE10_0-10003602.SCA.zip
    VCFLEX10_0-10003616.SCA.zip
    VCFRAMEWORK10_0-10003624.SCA.zip
    Among few initial exercises I did, all are working fine except, calling external web services.
    I would highly appreciate your help on this.

    I have copied the values exactly as it is in my web browser settings. but still getting the same problem.
    Could you please refer me a link of creating WS through Portal. I am not finding any tutorial for the same.

  • Failed to connect to VMware web service: Invalid keystore

    Hi,
    We have a CPO 2.3.1 that refuses to connect to vCenter (see log extract at the end of the post).
    We recently changed our vCenter server (part of an update to 5.1).
    We tried following workarounds:
    remove and add all platform elements from the portal using SE services
    re import automation packs (the 4 from the Starter Edition v2.3.1.38)
    re set the keystore password
    No change at all...
    Would you have a clue on how to correct that?
    Thank you.

    You have an invalid keystore file because the HTTPS certification has changed. You need to delete the old keystore file and restart the CPO server and then reconnect/run something against vCenter.
    There is also a possibility for Adatper Host Framework/java issues that I have seen commonly.
    If you need more help, you'll need to open a TAC case with your services contract please. We normally try to not troubleshoot logs on the forums.

  • Have the web service API URLs changed?

    I'm currently in the beginning stages of working with the iTunes U Web Service API, and I'm running into an issue.
    Step 2 of uploading a web services document (pg 50 of the admin guide) says to request an upload URL. The base URL for this request:
    https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL
    doesn't seem to be valid. I am receiving 404 errors:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>404 Not Found</title>
    <meta name="generator" content="Indigo">
    </head>
    <body>
    Not Found
    The requested URL /WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL was not found on this server.
    </body>
    </html>
    I've tried added the identifier path but still no luck. Just to be clear, I am generating and sending a proper authorization token; the issue is that the destination URL seems to be invalid.
    Have the API URLs changed or am I missing something?
    Thanks

    Hi Chris,
    A couple of things ...
    First is that you want to read page 54 of latest admin guide.
    Nextly, the basic way to access the API hasn't changed ... Apple has changed the XSD and the specifics of the API itself ... but not the way you call it. That's been pretty steady since I've been messing with it.
    The base URL should look like this:
    https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetUploadURL/your-university.ed u.111.222.333
    "111.222.333" is called a "handle" and it uniquely specifies a resource (track, cover image, etc.) within iTunes U. "111.222" is a path to the resource "333".
    After the base URL, you have to add the same kind of token string that you would for "Browsing" iTunes U ... that is a string in the form ...
    credentials=foo&identity=user&time=123456&signature =abc123abc&type=XMLControlFile
    A question mark "?" separates the base URL from the token string. Whatever you do, do -not- forget the type=XMLControlFile! The manual does not emphasize that you need to add this token, but you must to use the API.

  • Data Federator - Changing Web Service Datasource URL

    Hi,
    I am using Data Federator XI 3.0.
    I have a few web service datasources with their WSDL URL set to the location of the web service on my development machine. If I deploy the web service on the production server, is there a way to simply update WSDL URL of the datasources in Data Federator without recreating them (copy to draft, update operations, reselect operations, etc.) ?
    I tried putting the URL in a deployment context parameter, but it did not work. The datasources still reference the old URL even when I changed the URL in the parameter.
    Thanks,
    Chih Hui

    Hi,
    If you want to configure Connections post deployment, it is required for your application to be configured with a Writable MDS Repository.As I had mentioned in the blog also, for this you need a entry in adf-config.xml and that your server should have a registered MDS store. Unless you will do this, the connection endpoint changes that you are doing will not be saved.
    To give an example, at the application end, in adf-config.xml, you need an entry like the following:
    <adf-mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/mds/config">
    <mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/mds/config" version="11.1.1.000">
    <persistence-config>
    <metadata-store-usages>
    <metadata-store-usage default-cust-store="true" deploy-target="true" id="myRepos">
    </metadata-store-usage>
    </metadata-store-usages>
    </persistence-config>
    </mds-config>
    </adf-mds-config>
    When you will deploy this app to a server with a registered MDS repository, the deployment will bring up a dialog where you will need to set(select/create) a partition for this app in the mds repository. Once, your deployment is done, now if you will change the endpoint using EM, it will save your changes.

  • How to change Auto-generated web service's URL

    Hi,
    is it possible to change/edit the auto-generated url of a web services created with the wizard in SE80 transaction?
    Example:
    Now the wizard generates a URL as following:
    http://<host name>:8080/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_4BC67655E5155680E10000000A7B0410/wsdl11/allinone/standard/document?sap-client=001
    where the alfa-numeric code 4BC67655E5155680E10000000A7B0410 changes every time I create the service. at the same time and for the reason above, I have to change the LOGICAL DESTINATION with "visual administrator" application to consume the service in SAP Netweaver environment.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Web Service WSDL/URL not seen by Excel

    Hello,
    I have a BW function module with a web service created over it and I am trying to get this to connect to Excel 2003.(The web services tool kit is installed)  I can get Excel to see this web service:
    http://www.webservicex.net/WS/WSDetails.aspx?CATID=2&WSID=9
    but not the one I created.
    I don't know why it doesn't work with mine. I am using SAP Netweaver 2004s. I also made sure that the username/password is included in the WSDL URL.  I am able to connect to the Web Service's homepage in IE and run a sucessful test of the FM it connects too. I have the Toolkit installed in Office 2003. In WSCONFIG I can see that the web service is green/has been succesfully released.
    Is there anything I have to do to ensure the service is exposed to the world?
    Many thanks,
    Gary

    AAAaahh I figured it out!
    I must have had a typo somewhere in my WSDL when I inserted the system user name and password into it.  That is what I was missing.
    This is what didn't work for me:
    http://host.name.com:1234/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZGEM_ADD_WEBSERVICE?sap-client=123&wsdl=1.1
    What did work(inserted username and password into generated wsdl):
    http://host.name.com:1234/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZGEM_ADD_WEBSERVICE?sap-client=123&sap-user=username&sap-password=password&wsdl=1.1
    Thanks for your replies everyone!

  • Calling a web service with URL to Insert into DB Web service

    Does any one have an idea how I can call a web service using a URL to insert records into an Oracle DB table.
    Something like this :
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/SCHEMA/URI/HANDLER/PARAMETERS
    I need to call it outside of Oracle Apex.
    Regards,
    OLU

    Hi Swapna,
    from your screenshot it seems that you actually try to call the service in your Data Source Expression field. You should set path to the WSDL file here actually - this could be either URL to SAP or to filesystem, as Anton suggested (this could be faster). Have you created endpoint binding for your service in transaction SOAMANAGER? If yes, then simply download the corresponding WSDL with binding or copy the URL which leads to it. But also test whether you are able to retrieve the WSDL without logging into SAP (close all browser windows and then open a new one otherwise session ID from other browser windows can be reused).
    If you have to give username and password, then setup anonymous alias in transaction SICF, for example.
    Pleas, check my previous post on the same subject here: Re: BCM7 IVR : SOAP request for client identification in CRM .
    Maybe it could help.

  • Web Services Connection URL Help

    Hey guys,
    I hate to create a thread for something that seems so simple but I can't for the life of me find a simple answer anywhere. When I'm trying to communicate with the GroupWise web services on a version 7 installation I'm having a hard time finding the correct URL. I've been trying "http://[domainname]/gw/webacc/" and the login seems to work but when I call the getItemsRequest method on the GroupWiseBinding object it's returning HTML which basically looks like it would be the interface that's returned for when a user logs in via the web access. My assumption is that I'm using the wrong URL to interact with the web service but I'm not sure because I'm having a hell of a time trying to research this.
    Just to give you guys a little bit of background about what I'm dealing with too this is a project that I've inherited from a developer no longer at our company and I've never worked on it before so I'm starting from scratch. Spent nearly a week looking at this on and off and I've come up with nothing. I really need to get some traction here and any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    It shouldn't matter which version of the schema
    that you are using.
    You need to make sure the port is enabled on the POA.
    If you are still having a problem, you could do a
    SOAP trace to see what is actually sent and received
    from the POA. Google for MsSoapT3.exe. The ms soap
    trace utility is pretty simple. (It is part of a
    soap SDK.)

  • Import/Load XML from Web Service or URL?

    Hi,
    Like many, I'm new to LCD 8.2.  I have a form with subforms and repeating rows currently bound via a schema, but that can change if need be.  I'm able to import/export file-based XML and that process works well.
    However I'd rather not subject my end-users to browsing for an XML file, and loading it, and I'd like to provide something more elegant. In short, I'd like to import XML from either a web service (returning a single value being the XML document) or by loading the XML directly from a URL by a single button click.
    Is this possible?
    Much appreciated,
    Dave

  • Web Service Deployment URL

    Hello,
    I am new to Oracle's OC4J and its Web Services platform, and so please forgive me if this is an absolute no-brainer! However, I have a Web Service which as part the messages it exchanges needs to send its deployment URL (so that others can call back to it at a later time). Is there a specific server-side API call which I can call within my service to find out where my service is deployed, a "where am I?" kind of method?
    TIA,
    Jim

    Normally, the "where am I" information is not available to the Web service implementation itself ... it is simply an implementation that is described by some WSDL. Often the implementation itself does not know that it is a Web service as it could be an EJB, Java class, JMS queue or database stored procedure.
    So, that said, in the WSDL describing the service there is the soap:address section that shows where the service itself is located:
    <service name="StatefulExampleImpl">
    <port name="StatefulExampleImplPort" binding="tns:StatefulExampleImplBinding">
    <soap:address location="http://127.0.0.1:8888/ws-root/StatefulExampleImpl"/>
    </port>
    </service>
    In the Oracle Web services implementation there is the ability for client applications to inquire at the endpoint for the WSDL for a Web service. So for example, in the above Web service, the endpoint is at http://127.0.0.1:8888/ws-root/StatefulExampleImpl and I can inquire for the WSDL by using the following URL:
    http://127.0.0.1:8888/ws-root/StatefulExampleImpl?WSDL
    I realize this is a chicken and egg answer ... i.e. where did the endpoint come from! I suppose the endpoint can be programmatically determined from the web.xml configuration of the Web service servlet (look at the web.xml for a Web service either generated by JDev or the Web Services Assembler command line tool) but because you don't write the Web service servlet itself (you write the implementation that the servlet invokes), this probably doesn't help.
    The other way to discover a Web service endpoint is through UDDI where you look up the business name/function and it points to the WSDL which in turn points to the endpoint. An example of dynamic discovery using UDDI on an Oracle platform is available at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/java/web_services/wsdinvoke/WebServiceDII.jar
    An alternative here though not broadly implemented or accepted standard is WSIL spec from IBM ... see:
    http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2002/10/16/wsil.html
    Not sure if this helps but perhaps it might help.
    Mike.

  • Why do I get parsing errors with my WSDL URL for Web Services usage

    Hi,
    I am puzzled with the errors I get when I want to create a Web Service datastore.
    Scenario: I have created a SAP Web Service from CRM using SOAMANAGER. The WSDL URL produced by SOAMANAGER is accessibile when pasting the URL directly in Internet Explorer. WSDL URL [http://UXCIQ0M.WDF.SAP.CORP:50076/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_CBDCB34C89C29304E10000000A4282C0/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=504]
    When using the WSDL URL in the Web Service datastore URL field, I get the error An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException; faultcode=PARSER_ERROR: Problem parsing: The element type "br" must be terminated by matching tag "/br". (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
    When I save the WSDL defintion in a local file and use a local file path, I get the errors An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portype/wsp:Policy): faultcode=INVALID_WSDL: Encountered unexpected element 'Policy. (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
    My questions:
    - Why do I get different parsing errors despite the fact that the XML is the same?
    - The WSDL is generated by SOAMANAGER. Shouldn't it work directly when integrating with Web Services generated from an SAP environment?
    - Is this related to confiurgation issue? I have set the Job Manager to Support adapter, message broker and SNMP communication
    - What is the difference between the datastore of type Adapter and the datastore Web Service? In the white paper [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20bd5e60-11f9-2b10-2bbb-b5109cceff08?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] it is mentioned to use the Adapter type to consume a Web Service. It is not clear to me why we have those 2 types.
    Thanks & Best Regards
    Isabelle

    Some updates on this issue, which might help others in the community.
    - Data Service doesn't support ws_policy.
    - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SOAMANAGER generate WDSL with ws_policy. In future releases, it is possible to specify not to use ws_policy
    - In most cases, replacing ws_policy with standard  in the URL directly, works. It doesn't work with Data Services :(.
    - Replacing ALL ws_policy in the XML directly is currently the only way to have the WSDL definition being parsed properly by Data Services.

  • How to use web services with Dynamic url behaviour

    Hi,
    IView created by me currently uses some web services whose url behavior is static but i want to give a dynamic url behavior. i.e. i want to use the url which user provides. So here are my questions
    1. How I shall assign the url supplied by the user to IView?
    2. If I want to set some config variables during runtimes how I shall do it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vishvesh

    Hi,
    1. I'm guessing you mean the webservice's url the user provides is pointing to an identical webservice to what you used to create your proxy... otherwise I think it will be very hard to do (I can imagine creating the proxies using the wsdl tool in run time or using code dome.. but that can't be what you want, right?).
    So if what you wanted is to use the same web service with a different url, then the web service's proxy class you created has API for doing this in code! (it inherits it)
    2. you can't, simply since the portal application doesn't ever use the config file... it isn't even deployed to the portal... so dynamic properties are "out of the question" here, sorry... see 1 again
    Regards,
    Ofer

  • External Web Services Url Change

    When I installed Lync 2013 I used the same fqdn for the internal and external web services url. I now am implementing a reverse proxy server and realized that the fqdn needs to be different for the external services.  I am using IIS AAR on a 2012
    Server for my proxy. WHen I change the web services external url in topology builder and republish it, what other steps do I need to do after the change. I figured I would need to rerun the setup, but do I need new internal or external certs if I already have
    the SAN name in my certificate that I plan to use.

    External web FQDN is required in certificate for Lync Server Front End Server, you can that at

    External web FQDN is require in certificate for Reverse Proxy Server, check that at

    Hi,
    With regards to your statemetn "SDN downloaded document says to Generate Webservice URL through ABAP"   <- can you tell me more please? references/links/attachment?
    As far as I am aware, that the type of web service required for integration it a 'normal' Netweaver Web app server web service.
    There are limitations about the complexity of the WSDL - see Notes:
    1653655 - Limitations in Web Service WSDL URL usage in Xcelsius 4.0
    1703839 - Limitations of Web service usage in Xcelsius / Dashboard Design
    also , changes between SAP versions requires reworking the WSDL
    Note 1625091 - The WSDL URL for web service which generated in SAP Enterprise Central Component cannot be loaded into Xcelsius
    regards,
    H
