Web service parsing soap envelope problem

I'm trying to parse an XML document found in a collection. I can do it in TOAD but get a "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" message in APEX.

I accidently hit the post before the messag was composed.
I'm trying to parse an XML soap envelope found in a collection. I can do it in TOAD but get a "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" message in APEX within a PL/SQL anonymous block
Here is the code snippet:
declare
l_xml clob;
l_pdf                    clob;
begin
select xmltype.createxml(cm.clob001)
into l_xmlval
from ....
select l_xmlval.extract('//*[local-name()=''reportBytes]').getclobval()
into l_pdf
from dual;
end;
It is the presense of the two backslashes that cause the ORA-01008. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem?

  • Building client proxies for web services with SOAP attachemtns

    Hi all.
    I'm currently building a series of web services that take SOAP attachments as
    input, but I am unable to generate the java proxies for testing the services via
    WebLogic Workshop 8.1. When I attempt to build the proxy, I get the following
    error:
    Warning: Failed to generate client proxy from WSDL definition for this service.
    Suggestion: Please verify the <types> section of the WSDL.
    Is there something I need to alter to get this to work, or does workshop not support
    client proxies for web services with DataHandler parameters?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the help. This is my first web service with SOAP attachments, so it
    may have been a long time till I realized that.

    Thanks Brian,
    The problem is that you are trying to use the "document" soap-style :-)
    If you change this to "rpc", you'll should be able to successfully generate
    the
    client proxy jar. The soap-style property, is at the bottom of the "protocol"
    property sheet section, for the JWS.

  • Authorization error while consuming web service in SOAP UI

    Hi,
    I am an ABAPer and do not have much knowledge about SOAMANAGER configuration.
    I have created a Web service and configured it using SOAMANAGER. I am trying to consume same web service using SOAP UI.
    But, I am getting an error HTTP-401 unauthorized.
    For authentication, I have selected "Transport level -User ID/Password" checkbox.
    What else, I have to configure, please let me know.

    Hi Sneha,
    In SOAP UI, after importing WSDL, dig it till Request1, select it and go to Request property.
    Set Below things
    1. Authentication Type = Preemptive
    2. give username
    3 give password
    and send message.

  • Problem calling a web service via SOAP ad.

    Hi,
    I need to call a web service in an synchronous RFC to Web service scenario.The provider of service said me that they are going to accept production order with the service they provide. However, service semms to have only 2 request parameters one is a string enumeration ("online" or "offline") but the other has no type. In WSDL it is shown as the following -
    -<s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" name="strFilenameOrXML">
    - <s:complexType mixed="true">
    - <s:sequence>
      <s:any />
      </s:sequence>
      </s:complexType>
      </s:element>
    When I try to test the web service with Altova XML Spy it gives me the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" .. at StokbarPlus.ProdService.WriteProdToSB(XmlNode strFilenameOrXML, IntegrationType EntegrasyonTip)..
    I guess the service is waiting for a xmlNode object...
    Is it possible to assign an XI message(coming from RFC) as an xmlNode object to an element of a webservice message and send it by using SOAP adapter?.
    I tried send the SOAP message by putting the whole xml(a sample order document) as a string constant in the strFilenameOrXML element and send but it did not work...
    How should I proceed?
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    -Tarik

    Hi,
    Problem is still unsolved.
    By the way I figured out that they are waiting the xml message inside strFilenameOrXML tag and tried to send it so. However it does not work. I have tried two different ways to send it.
    First one is by using messages in WSDL: did not work because special chars like <,> in the message that I am sending in the tag is escaped  .
    The Second way is using the data types that I developed, it did not work too since the receiver expects one of the inner node's namespace prefix to exist.
    I tried exporting the xsd of the message type, adding attributeFormDefault="qualified" to header, and reimporting it. It did not work, because it changes all nodes, but they want some specific node to be qualified.
    Any suggestions?

  • Consumer Contact's Web Service CRM On Demand: Problem to do an operation!

    Hi,
    I'm trying to consume a Web service offered by CRM On Demand, namely it is the Contact object.
    The steps I followed were:
    1) Download the file .wsdl associated with contact from CRM On Demand
    2) Generate Proxy web service from JDeveloper 10g (version: 10.1.3)
    3) Configure the client to consume the resource and to do, for example, the contact’s insertion.
    I can make a login and a logout on the Web Service correctly, but when I try to do an insertion I can’t do it.
    The log generated by JDeveloper when running the client is as follows:
    WARNING: Unable to connect to URL: https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration due to java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: www-proxy.au.oracle.com

    I'm not sure if it's a problem with HTTP proxy server settings or URL/ENDPOINT problem, because maybe I am trying to access an incorrect URL.
    If I try to access from the browser to this URL I can't access the wsdl, so I do not know if this address is correct, but is specified in the file. Wsdl:
    <soap:address location="https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration" />
    For this reason, I supposed that it is correct...
    I have tried to access via URL with the follows:
    - https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration
    - https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/Contact
    - https://secure-ausomxgfa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/Contact?wsdl
    In all I have the next response from the Internet browser:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    <ErrorMessage>An invalid command was specified: doGet with no data</ErrorMessage>
    </detail>
    </soap:Fault>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    Since the client generated, I have tried with the follows:
    1) System.setProperty("javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY", endpoint);
    2) myPort.setEndpoint(endpoint);
    where endpoint = "https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration" + ";jsessionid=" + idSesion;
    or "https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration" (with both options I can do the operation...)
    and idSesion = logon("https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration",USERNAME,PASSWORD);
    Do you know what is the correct URL (endpoint)?
    Is that a correct HTTP proxy server configuration to invoke a Web service CRM On Demand? But so, what is the correct setting? And if it is a good configuration, what am I doing wrong?
    The source code from my client is:
    String idSesionFull=null, idSesion=null, endpoint=null;
    try {

    System.out.println("Invoking: " + myPort.getEndpoint());

  • SharePoint NTLM web service from LC process problem

    Hello all,
    I'm struggling to get a LiveCycle process to update an internal SharePoint list via its NTLM Windows authenticated web service.
    As you can see from the above, the schema definition is loaded no problem, and I can select the operation I want to run.  I've used the "Test" tab to attempt to send a request to update the list:
    Attempting to test the web service call (in Workbench) gives errors in the UI along with the server.log all to do with authentication problems.  It's worth mentioning at this point that the "User name" and "Password" boxes on the Settings have been left blank in the screenshot.  I have tried all possible combinations here, and the error messages in the log differ for each scenario, demonstrated below:
    Error in UI for all:
    Various Server.log errors:
    Blank Username / Password
    Which made me think, "I'll add a test AD username / password" and see what happens..
    With Username / Password
    Of course, "I'll add the domain before the username" and try again...
    With Username / Password (DOMAIN\Username & Password) - (tried both fully qualified domain & shortened)
    But.. It's still asking for the DOMAIN?
    The solution for now:
    In the meantime, I've resorted to enabling BASIC authentication on the SharePoint site, which accepts the request and returns a response, but realistically we don't want to enable this for a production environment.  It also doesn't help explain what the underlying issue is with LC, or even if it's a LC issue at all!
    I eagerly await some experienced person to help with knowledge on the subject..
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Our issue may be unrelated, but you will probably encounter issues with some of SP's native web services.
    I am also trying to set up processes in LC that insert list items into sharepoint, however some of SP's services in lists.asmx dont seem to have a properly exposed wsdl. I am able to get list items to properly insert (see below), and our server is set up with basic auth right now (behind the firewall).
    Once you get the right creds. over basic, do you have any issues publishing content (specifically using updatelistitems)?

    Hello,
    I have not looked in detail to you code but I would like to point out that Oracle provides utilities to call Web Services from the database, using a DB package and/or Java in the DB.
    Have you looked to the documentation about:

  • Calling Web Service with SOAP header from BPEL

    Hi,
    I am calling a web service (with header information) from BPEL. In the Invoke activity, i created a header variable to pass the header information.
    But, when i test the BPEL service, invoke activity fails because the header information is not being passed.
    Below is the error message (copied from clipboard).

    As said, no header information is visible in the Invoke activity.
    Please provide help for the above issue.

    Hello Patrick,
    Thanks for the response. I am using normal assign activity to assign values to the header variable as shown below. HeadMT is the header variable which is passed in the invoke activity.

  • Generating Web Service with SOAP Header

    Hello,
    I have a WSDL for a web Service using document encoding and with a soap header.
    I generate a jws file using WL Workshop 81.SP4 but I always have this error message :
    ERROR: AjoutContactService.jws:13: The binding for AjoutContact does not declare one part.
    ERROR:      SUGGESTION: A document literal binding must have at most one part. Make sure you have a WSDL that declares just one part for each message with a document literal binding.
    The header is a recent adding on an existing Web Service, and I can't change the wsdl definition. I also need to use data contained by the header in conjunction with data in the body.
    Is it a limitation with workshop or a problem with with my binding file ?
    I give sample of my two wsdl files.

    Hi,
    This appears to be a known limitation and is addressed by CR227689
    which has a workaround that needs the wsdl to be modified.
    I am not sure if this is possible given that we don't control the wsdl most times.
    Could you please open a BEA support case and refer to CR227689?
    Vimala-
    p.s:
    I found some info on the issue which could help:
    1) Refer to <http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/regrep/200306/msg00071.html>
    you will see that only one part is allowed in the message part for doc/literal webservices Snippet from the above link
    "Also, keep in mind that WS-I BP permits only one <part> on document/literal messages, so to be WS-I compliant, you would have to include it in the message structure. "
    2) Refer to http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/Basic/2003-08/BasicProfile-1.0a.html#refinement35722968 <http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/Basic/2003-08/BasicProfile-1.0a.html>
    below R2208)
    "For document-literal bindings, the Profile requires that at most one part, abstractly defined with the element attribute, be serialized into the soap:Body element."
    This implies Soap body contains message which contains a at most one part.

  • Unable to access web service through SOAP

    My script is as follows:
    var bank = "Yolo FCU";
    var cURL = "https://vdevcluster01.drmain.local/AcrobatIntegration/1.0/VOService.svc?wsdl";
    var service = SOAP.connect(cURL);
    var response = service.GetVODStringByFinancialInstution(bank);
    I can connect to many other public web services but am having trouble connecting to my company's.
    The full error message is as follows:
    Batch undefined:Exec

    RaiseError:

    I'm not extremely knowledgeable about web services but as a general question, is there an issue with my code or the web service, or is it impossible for anyone to tell me since it's on a private server?
    Any suggestions for me to ask my IT dept. or any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

    I have imported the cert. But the problem still persists.
    In the Adobe LiveCycle Designer, when i make a new Data Connection for WSDL.
    If I key in http://server_IP:port/webservices/webmethod?WSDL, it works.
    But If I key in https://server_IP:ssl_port/webservices/webmethod?WSDL,
    it prompted back
    Cannot load "https://server_IP:ssl_port/webservices/webmethod?WSDL". Check  that the path is correct and that the file
    is a valid WSDL file. Also ensure you have access rights to the file.

  • Making a web service and have a problem

    Hi all.
    I've greated a synchronous communication. SOAP<->XI<->RFC
    No problem to create a webservice from this.
    When I implement a BPM for that communication the web service makes the request message as respones message and the response message as request message. I don't get why?
    In the synchronous setup the inteface for the SOAP are outbound, synchronous and for the BPM solution the the inteface are abstract, synchronous. I've made abstract asynchronous interfaces for the request and the respone to use inside the BPM.
    Can somebody please give me a hint of why the web service swiches the request and respones message in the BPM solution? If you need more information I gladly provide what you need about my solution.
    BR
    Kalle

    Yes the request and the respones are mapped with the Abstarct Asynchronous interfaces.
    The mappings are called inside the BPM from a transformation step.
    There are no mappings with the source synchronous interface that are abstract when using BPM and outbound when not using BPM and same with the target synchronous interface that are abstract. Created the target synchronous interface when implementing BPM in teh solution.
    If not using BPm how should I do this then?
