Web Service to iDoc

Hi
I have a third party that is suppose to transfer data to my R/3 4.7 system.
Third party soap> Webservice (XI)idoc> R/3
I have generated a wsdl, but I need to create the web service in XI. I tried to create it in se80 from a XI Message Interface, but I can't find any of the interfaces that I have made in Integration Builder.

Hi Morten,
you build the webservice by creating interfaces and so on and activating the SOAP channel.
So you need in IB Repository:
datatype, messagetype, outbound-interface, mapping program, interface mapping, import of idoc
SLD: Business Systems for third party and R/3
IB Directory: Receiver Determination, Interface Determination, Receiver Agreement, 2 Business Systems, IDoc Channel, SOAP channel.
XI serves the webservice, you have to send a message to the soap adapter. You dont need to do anything in SE80. Main work is in IB. Plz dont hesitate to ask for special details.

This is not related to receiverdetermination ,whether you creaeted or not.
It is somthing related to receiver systemwhich was configured in Receier determination.
check the target BS is correct or not or the inbound interface.
Did you configured the proper receiver technical system..
OR
Check the Receiver Determination is configured correctly. i.e R/3
Verify all the configurations like SM59, Partner Profile/Logical systems. etc. Also check in SM58 of R/3 system.Make sure that All the objects are activated in the Directory.Refresh the cache.Verify is the business system is pointing to correct R/3 system . Go to Business system/Service->Menu->Adapter specific identifiers in the directory
You can test your configuration with sample
payload.
In ID goto to TOOLS -
> Test Configuration for testing.
Hope in this way you can still find at which point the interface goes wrong.

Folio - Create a Folio through Web Services or Idoc?

Hi,
Has anybody created a Folio through using web services or idoc script?
I have all the information required to create the "Simple" Folio in the front-end page. I have found that I can create the basic folio with "CHECKIN_NEW_FOLIO" and setting dSecurityGroup, dDocTitle, dDocType and folioType. It appears difficult to get the items loaded with "CHECKIN_SEL_FOLIO". Any ideas?
I have shown that if you check in an "XCSR" file into Content Server, the base folio functionality works. For example creating a ZIP rendition, but it does not read the "names" of the items from the "XCSR" file - it appears to be taking the values from the "Cache" information. Is there a way to get the Cache to re-read the information from the "XCSR" file?

Web service to IDOC scenario

I'm defining Web service (through the configuration builder) and the message interface that i'm using to publish is based on idoc.
when i'm trying to check the WSDL which was generated, in the wsnavigator i'm getting the following error:
"cannot download WSDL from http://<server.....filename.wsdl: cannot load java.class: typename = /wsdl:definition/wsdl:types/xsd:schema/xsd:elemen/xsd:complexType, elementName=TEST_BASIC_TYPE

I think you have used the proposed url which was mentioned in defining the webservice in configuration. better to use this link:
http://hostname:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<service>:<sender channel name>.in that url. you have to mention the hostname of the server and the port number.

I had find out some blogs dealing with these web services but i am not clear with them
1) Then how can i give input to SOAP adapter
2) what is need of going to NWDS and the Wed Dynpro

Download softwares like SOAP UI -http://www.soapui.org/
Create new project in SOAP UI and add the WSDL to that project and click send.
Also don't forget to give authorizations.

How to receive bundled iDocs in PI and build web service call based on them

Hi experts
I have a challenge where PI 7.1 receives 1000 bundled iDocs of the same type and from these PI must generate 3 target messages (SOAP requests). The records in the iDocs must be mapped to one of 3 different target messages depending on the iDoc header value. The 3 target messages must be sent in a web service request to the same web service. The web service will thus be called 3 times, one for each request message.
Will it be possible to handle this using n:m mapping as described in help.sap.com (and then just using 1 source message in the mapping as the iDocs are of the same type) or is a java mapping required and if so, what are the pointers?

if you design different soap recv channels, then you can specify action value as specfic to each operation in each soap receiver cc. If you use same channel for all of them then you might have to use dynamic configuration to populate different operation as action in the communication channel.

Multiple records from IDOC should be processed one by one Thru Web service

I have a requirement where in the idoc (custom one) will collect data from R/3 system at the frequency of One hour and send them to XI and from XI i need to call the Web serice which would post only one record at a time. In this case how should i manage by mapping. Its something like records from a Table needs to be posted sequentially thry Web service at the receiving end..

IDOC or Web service for Vendor creation/updation from XI to R/3

Hi,
We have a scenario whereby the vendor master details in R/3 need to be created/updated by the data sent from XI. We are on XI 3.0 and R/3 ECC5.
The options that we need to analyse best suiting the requirement are whether to use Web Service or whether to use IDOC.
I am not very experienced in the usage of Web Service so it will be very helpful if you could please help me with the scenario build up and how it will update the records in R/3.
From the point of view of the IDOC usage, the standard IDOC CREMAS03 is available to update the Vendor master data whereby the data is sent to XI in XML format and the data is mapped to IDOC structure and pushed out to R/3. I have checked the SDN forums and there have been discussions baout certain settings that need to be configured first to enable this IDOC scenario.
Can you please help me in analysing which option to go for and what are the pros and cons of both and the complexity of implementation and if there are any rerequisites that need to be met for either option?

Thanks for the suggestions and I personnaly favour the IDOC. However, the solution is not only looking at creating new Vendors in the R/3 system but also looking at updating the existing Vendors with the incoming data form the 3rd party.
Can the same standard IDOC create and update the vendors or do I need to look at 2 different IDOCs?
There will be a daily polling of data files via XI. The file format is going to be .txt and will be comma seperated.
Is there any way of checking in XI itself the file duplication before transferring the data to R/3 as and when the files are received?
On R/3 side, we were currently thinking of going forward with ABAP proxy which can create IDOC and then send the mail or somehow inform the business that some data was incorrect and therefore the IDOC's were not created for them or should we do it via RFC?
We will also go forward with the custom table contianing the file names received till now to check for the sequence serial number.
Please advice.

Mapping IDoc in Web Service structure

now I got general question about mapping:
I'm using the SAPRDI02 IDoc to send print data to PI. This should be mapped to the web service structure then.
The IDoc contains the text elements of the sap script and the value of these elements.
The Web service has some structures and one structure for the document content. this structure has some general
fields to describe the type of document, which should be printed and a field for the content of the document. This field
expects unformated XML.
My question now is, how I should do the mapping best. Do you think it's possible to do it with the graphical tool, or should
I use XSLT, Java or ABAP mapping?
I think, the data from the IDoc would be something like this:
E1RDID
SYMNAME
SYMVALUE
The structure of the web service form content is something like this:
Printforms
Printform
 Formtype
 FormContent
 Priority
And as I understand it, the XML content for the field "FormContent" should be something like this:
<FormField1>contentOfFormField1</FormField1>
or
<FormField1 value = 'contentOfFormField1' />
So the fields SYMNAME and SYMVALUE should be transferred to this structure and then to the field "FormContent"
in the webservice.
Any idea how I do this in the best way?

how do I create the XML tags? The XML-tag name should be the content of SYMNAME and the tag value should be
the content of SYMVALUE.
Like this:
<SYMNAME>SYMVALUE</SYMNAME>
And in the IDoc, Symname and Symvalue are part of a structure, and each line is one symname/symvalue couple. That means,
all the lines of this segment should later be just one field value of FormContent in the webservice....
Example:
Line1:
SYMNAME --> testField1
SYMVALUE --> testContent1
Line2:
SYMNAME --> festField2
SYMVALUE --> testContent2
And this should later result in:
<testField1>testConent1</testField1><testField2>testContent2</testField2>
Sorry, it's a bit hard to explain...

IDOC - Web Service scenario gives errors when processing multiple IDocs

I have an integration process defined in PI 7.1 that contains four major steps :
- Receive DEBMAS IDoc
- Call a RFC to get additional information
- Call a MS Dynamics web service to retrieve the MS Dynamics customer account number via the SAP customer number (synchronous call)
- Call a MS Dynamics web service to update customer info (asynchronous call)
This process works well when one IDoc is processed.
If however 10 Idocs are submitted, some updates are processed correctly, most of them are not (the find service call works perfectly fine). Sometimes 3 work fine, sometimes 1 (for the same 10 IDocs submitted)
I did a test with SOAP UI where in a test script I submitted the 10 update service calls and this works fine.
The error that is given in the adapter engine SOAP communication channel is :
Message processing failed. Cause: (415)Cannot process the message because the content type 'multipart/related; type="text/xml"; start="<45504935B855BA3ACA0EA2FD503BC60F>"; boundary="----=_Part_20_1319086528.1239082062538"' was not the expected type 'text/xml; charset=utf-8'.
I noticed in the message content that the SOAP calls that go wrong have two payloads attached, one for the Main Document and one for the XI Context.. The ones that are processed correctly only have one payload, the Main Document
Anyone an idea what the cause can be ?

Please check the transaction idx5 in PI system and see whether the IDOC status by double clicking on the corresponding Transaction ID.
I think this might be due to some invalid data coming from the source system

IDOC - Web Service scenario error

Hi Experts,
I am developing IDOC to Web Service scenario and the error which I come across is in the receiver SOAP channel which states:
"Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: AddUpdateStandardOrder."

your SOAP action defined in reciver SOAP comm channel is not correct.... to specify it corrctly, open your SOAP application URL in internet explorer........click on service description..........then search SOAP:Action node in it.........specify the complete SOAP action in the reciver SOAP comm channel including the complete namespace.............then save and activate it.........then rerun your scenario.

Idoc acknowledgement message to web service

I am trying to set up the scenario SOAP sender>XI>IDoc Receiver.
I have exposed the outbound, synchronous message interface as a web service, and I'm planning to use sync-async bridge in BPM.
My problem is: I need a response message from SAP. Can I use an iDoc acknowledgement message for this purpose? If this is the case, how do I set up SAP to send this acknowledgement message to XI, and do I have to configure an iDoc sender channel for this purpose?

One option - not a ABAP expert but this is what I understood with my discussions with my ABAP team when we were coveringt he same issue -
In the Idoc Inbound Processing Code - write a ABAP Exit that after processing the Idoc will trigger the RBDSTATE report to trigger the AleAudit back to XI and XI will send it back to R3.
It is surely possible, as the Aleaudits are triggered by RBDSTATE report instead, you can manually makde the Idoc procesing code to trigger this report immdeitaly and so on.
An Abap , Ale_Idoc specialist will have the answer to this in seconds - on how to do this - but am not one
