Web Sites GONE in 10.6.2 Update, Web Services

Installed the new 10.6.2 server update, now all of my web services site are gone. They still exists on the drive and in the folders, but web services will no longer configure or save due to errors stating null fields, even though fields are completed appropriately for setup. What happened?

Here is the error I am getting:
Uncaught exception raised in Web client-side plugin.
Sorry but the feature you tried to access cannot be used. Exception is:
In updateDescriptionFromConfigurationView: NSInvalidArgumentException * -[NSCFArray initWithObjects:count:]: attempt to insert nil object at objects[1] .

Per my understanding, you might want to update item using Lists Web Service.
In Lists.asmx, the methods available are as below:

I have placed a zip file which contains the Workshop 9.2.1 update on a ftp server at ftp://support:[email protected]/pub/w4wp/w4wpUpdate.zip
Make sure you download the file and follow the instructions listed below
Launch workshop
Help>Software Updates>Find and Install...
Select "Search for new features to install" and hit Next
Click on the New Archived Site button
Wait for the "Select Local Site Archive" dialog to appear
Enter, or browse to, the location of the archive file (it can be referenced using either http:// or file path syntax depending on where it was placed by the user or their sys admin) and hit Open
Hit Finish
Select BEA Workshop for WebLogic Platform 9.2.1.0 and hit Next
Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and hit Next
Hit Finish
Wait for the Feature Verification dialog to appear
Hit Install All
Hit Yes when prompted to restart the workbench

P6 web service update activity date

Hi guys,
I am using P6 web service to display the activity start and finish date in a .net web application.
When I change the finish date on the website, the date in p6 will also be updated. However, the date in p6 is always one work-day earlier than date in my web site.
For example, I read the date from P6 to web. It is 02-March-2014, same in P6 and my web. Then I change it to 12-Nov-2014, click update. The UpdateActivitiesResponse is true.
Then I go to P6 and refresh the date, the corresponding date become 11-Nov-2014.
The problem only happens on those un-actualized finish date. The activity start dates and actualized finish date can be updated perfectly.
Anybody has some idea about this bug? I don't think it is the web service problem, maybe the setting up of the project.

Hi Kean,
when you are updating an existing line you must use SetCurrentLine so the UI knows which line you want to update. Here is a short sample where i will update the quatity and price of every line in my existing sales order:

If you have a sheet in Excel with data from a SharePoint Online list you can switch to the PowerPivot ribbon and ask to add it to the model. This will allow you to reference this table when you create a PowerView report.
This workbook, with the Odata feed can then be refreshed via the scheduled refresh feature of Power BI Site.
Insert the data using the Odata feed
The Odata URL will be something like:
https://MyCompany.sharepoint.com/MySite/MySubSite/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/MyList
If you are not sure what is the list name, you can drop just browse to
https://MyCompany.sharepoint.com/MySite/MySubSite/_vti_bin/listdata.svc and this will provide a list of all the lists in that site/sub-site.
Once you have those in the model and you setup scheduled refresh, it will refresh the lists directly from SPO (using the owner identity)

Hi,
As of now in Xcelsius/Dashboard Design there is no feature or functionality to insert/update/delete data from database.
Solution:
Create a Web service in let’s say C# or Java, which will perform insert/update/delete operation.
In Xcelsius add Web Service connection and user above web service.
Xcelsius Web Service connection provides option to pass input values to a Web Service (Input Pane) and get the result (Output values pane).
We can pass values to be written to the database as a input to Web Service via Web Service connection from Xcelsius and write data to the database.
Note:
Performing delete operation from Xcelsius Dashboard could be risky and may delete important data from database. I would not prefer giving delete option/functionality in Xcelsius dashboard.

Problem updating a SOAP Web Service with ArrayCollection

Hello,
I am having issues POST'ing an ArrayCollection to a C# Web
Method. Here's how I have my application set up:
I have a DataGrid in my application and set the dataProvider
to be the result object of a Web Service operation. I set the
DataGrid's editable property to "true" and would like to be able to
edit the data and send off the DataGrid's dataProvider as the
parameter for the Web Method. If I edit the first row of the
DataGrid and trigger the operation, it gets saved just fine. If I
try to edit any other row this way, it keeps sending the same
packet (as verified by a packet sniffer) not allowing me to update
any other row. It seems the Web Service is sending the first 255
characters of the serialized ArrayCollection.
My questions are: why is this happening?

How can I fix this?

Update key mapping via web service

Hi ,
I have a question about edit key mapping. The problem is that we create vendors in MDM and syndicate them to different ERP systems. To decide which system a new vendor/changes must be send to, I need the Edit Key Mapping, but the users do not want to enter this information manually and I do not see how I can create key mapping automatically.
We are working on a new solution where vendors are entered in sharepoint and updated in MDM via web services. I would like to know if one of you know if key mapping can be maintained via a web service.

Error Updating Data using a Web Service from BPM

Hi there,
I'm trying to update data in an oracle database using a webservice created in DSP and get the following errors. It appears that BPM is unable to find a name, but I'm not sure what name this is referring to. The web service is straight forward and takes in the original and current objects as arguments. I can successfully call the query and insert web services and have double checked my code for the update web service but can't figure out why this is failing. Any idea on why this error might be occurring, or any pointers on what I need to be aware of?
Caused by: Task '0' in activity '/PlanSubmittal#Default-1.0/Interactive[ViewEditPlan]' for instance '/PlanSubmittal#Default-1.0/1/0' could not be successfully executed. The task failed while executing method 'AddEditWell_Router'.

'Failed to open specified URL. Check the following: is the URL is active; is there a valid proxy setting or, if HTTP authentication is required, check user name and password. [http://webservices.oracle.com/WeatherWS/WeatherWS?WSDL]'

Unknown site error while deploying web services using OC4J

Hi,
I have been testing the deploying webservices examples using demo.zip on OTN site.
I have trouble in binding the web application name to stand alone OC4J.
I am running stand alone OC4J server fine. I verified the website http://localhost:8888, which is running fine.
If I issue the command
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost:23791 admin password1 -bindwebapp demo_ejb_web_service HelloService_web http://localhost:8888/ sejb_webservices
I get error
oracle.oc4j.admin.internal.DeployerException: Unknown site: http://localhost:8888/
What is the http-web-site address that needs to be given for binding web app, if I am running local standalone OC4J with no default port changes?

Unable to update Company Sales Information of the Account using Web service

I am trying to update the Company Sales Information(Party Number, Customer number etc) of a existing Account through web Service 2.0 in dot net, but the values for
Company Sales Information remains unchanged. Also , when I am trying to insert a new Account through a web service, these fields remains blank.
I am not getting why this is happening.
Please help me if anyone knows about it.

Were you able to update other account information beside sales information? I'm doing the same - update sales information on the account - without any issues. Make sure to set external system id so that system can find the account that needs to be updated. Otherwise, I was getting "can't find the reference information" error. In my case I'm providing,
AccountData.setExternalSystemId("xxxxx");

Issues in Web service created for updating the Sales Order

Hi All,
We created a Web service using the Web service tool in CRM 7.0 ( Using the Component WS_DESIGN_TOOLS )
Web service was created for three modes such as READ, CREATE and CHANGE Modes.
READ Web Service we tested and its working fine as we were able to see the data for an existing Sales Order in the Web Service.
We expect that the Change Web Service will update the data of an existing Sales Order.
Through our Web service we are passing the Order GUID ,Order ID and some Header Fields as well as Item Fields but the in the Web Service we are getting a message that Web service executed successfully but the CRMD_ORDERADM_H Table isnot getting updated.
What could be problem.
Any suugestions will be highly appreciated.

I checked in SICF for the Webservice name created.
this is the service path
/default_host/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ for the corresponding Web Service created in DEV 200 Client.
I checked in SOAMANAGER and saw that the endpoitnts were zero.
the Search Operation for Webservice have got three query fields mainly
Object Id, Posting Date,Procees Type
If we give Process Type
sign - blank
option - blank
low - YPO ( Custom )
High - blank we are getting 126 entries.
and if we check for the Process Type YPO (Custom ) in CRMD_ORDERADM_H Tbale also we are getting the same no of entries.
but only for option BT , for Posting Date issue is thr..
Any inputs to move forward will be highly appreciated.

How to update data from a web service

pull the data i need and put it into an object. I manipulate that
data, then I want to write it back with another webservice. I get

Hi,
just create a skeleton for the Web Service. In JDeveloper, create a new project and then use the "NEW" context menu option.
Navigate to "Business Tier" --> Web Services and select "Web Service Proxy"
In teh following, provide the WSDL reference to create the Java proxy. This gives you accss to the WS without having to parse the XML yourself

Can you locate the iTunes Library.itl file on the old drive? Ideally you would have simply copied over the entire iTunes folder structure from <User's Music> on the old computer into <User's Music> on the new one to transfer the library will all playlists, ratings, play counts etc. intact.
