Updated Web Services and Pageflow design view available via eclipse update

All,
An eclipse update to Workshop for WebLogic Platform 9.2 is now available.
The new features available in this update are listed below
<b>Web Service Design View:</b> The web service Design View lets you design all of the major features of a web service using a graphical development environment. The following features are included:
* Creation of web methods, callbacks, and event handlers
* Direct configuration of conversational and buffering properties
* Inline method signature editing, with syntax highlighting and code completion
* Simultaneous editing of separate interface and implementation files
* Improved error detection and messaging
<b>Page Flow Overview. </b>The Page Flow Overview gives a graphical overview of an entire page flow, including its JSP pages, actions, and navigational relationships. This high-level view of a page flow gives the developer a total picture of how a page flow is structured. The following features are included:
* Continuous automatic graph layout
* Improved layout algorithm
* Selection is synchronized with the Page Flow Editor
* Graph Tracing mode makes reading complex graphs easier
* Print graphs or export them as images
<b>
Improved Test Client functionality. </b>The Test Client now supports directly testing services that have callbacks as well as services that have only JMS as a transport. The Test Client is downloaded along with the Workshop for WebLogic 9.2.1 update, but it must be installed manually. For details on installing and using the Test Client to test web services, see Testing Web Services with the Test Client.

  • How to execute BPEL process and invoke web service and workflow design

    I am completely new to Oracle software. i need to develope BPEL process using oracle
    I have installed almost all necessary product like oracle SOA suite , jDeveloper, BPEL process manager.
    But nothing works . i did not installed patches.
    I INSTALLED ALL LATEST SOA SUITE 11g AND ORACLE BUSINESS MANAGER (10.1.3.1.0). BUT I AM LACKING bpel DESIGNER. For that purpose i downloaded and installed oracle JDeveloper 11g studio version. but it does not have bpel designer.
    all tutorial are based on either eclipse based bpel designer "bpelz" OR jdeveloper based. but latest JDEVELOPER 11g studio version does not have any bpel option. even i can not able to download necessary patches.
    KINDLY TELL ME NECESSARY PREREQUISITES TO RUN BPEL PROCESS TO setup complete bpel environment.
    necessary tutorials links and software to download.
    Thanks in advance K. ROY

    Hi Roy ,
    The Jdeveloper 11g does not have plugin for BPEL .
    download jdeveloper 10.1.3.4 from
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/index.html
    and run a online update for the jdeveloper . This will give you the BPEL project option.
    A very good link for learning BPEL is :

  • Design view in Dreamweaver CC (update Oct. 2014)

    Design view in Dreamweaver CC (update Oct. 2014)  shows renders fonts and elements as huge making it impossible to work in that view. In live view it goes down to normal. And is there a way to switch of the blue tag inspector wrapping around the elements in focus? It's driving me nuts!
    What am I doing wrong, or is there a setting I'm unaware of?

    Jon Fritz II wrote:
    I have a sneaking suspicion that the "fix" is going to be the complete removal of Design View and a much more robust implementation of a Live View editor. I don't have anything to back that up, it's just the vibe I get from the direction DW seems to be taking.
    If there is a single web design/editor/developer application that even comes close to the features and power of Dreamweaver, I have yet to find it. And I test everyone I come across. Dw truly is the last great web design powerhouse. One of the main features that makes it so powerful, is its rich WYSIWYG editor for producing and managing large sites with tons of content - otherwise known as the inappropriately named Design View.
    As design surfaces go, apps like Macaw, Webflow, and Reflow nailed it. They're brilliant when it comes to prototyping designs and building & styling structures. Dreamweaver just can't compete with those types of visual workflows. Live View is barely a design surface at all, and its workflows are preposterous. That may change over time. Live View might be useful someday for prototyping designs and building & styling structures, but I would be very surprised if Live View's design surface ever... ever... ever becomes a useful content production and management surface.
    If Adobe allows - or forces - the Dw team to remove Design View, leaving us without a decent WYSIWYG editor, then where does that leave web designers like myself who produce and manage corporate sites with lots of content? - It's a rhetorical question.

  • Web Services and JHS

    My company is exploring the use of JHeadstart and we are very impressed with its capabilities. The enterprise environment into which our system will be deployed requires separation between the View Layer, and the Model Layer, with a SOAP-based messaging agent as the go-between (it's MQ series-based). We have been able to get a prototype plain-old UIX application to work where we deploy the Application Module in the Model project as a web service, and then create a data control from the stub to consume in the UIX ViewController project. We can then simply drag and drop the Web Service call result sets onto the UIX pages. However, when trying to do this with JHeadstart, the Wizard for creating Application Structure Files requests an Application Module on one of the first screens. In our environment, we won't be able to allow the ViewController project to see the Model project. Is there any way to use a web service instead of the Application Module? If not, is there any plan to support this type of activity in a future JHS release?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan Schiff

    Dan,
    Currently JHeadstart only supports ADF Business Components as the Business Service layer (directly accessed, not through a Web Service wrapper). As you found out, ADF supports other Business Services as well, not only Web Services but also TopLink, EJB, etc.
    JHeadstart is primarily intended for data manipulation (select, insert, update, delete) and our philosophy is that that type of functionality (that part of your application) is most efficiently handled directly by ADF Business Components. Also, this is the most productive technique for application developers. Of course, the end result of generating an application with JHeadstart is that you have a "normal" ADF application, to which you can add Web Service functionality with the normal JDeveloper visual editors and drag-and-drop features.
    So you could generate efficient data manipulation screens using JHeadstart and direct ADF Business Components, and then add interoperability with other Business Services to your application using Web Services. The latter part is not JHeadstart-generated.
    The next JHeadstart release (10.1.3) will be focused on supporting JSF (JavaServer Faces). We are also looking into support for other Business Services like TopLink, but we don't have any schedule for that yet.
    kind regards,

  • JWS, Web Services and Hibernate...

    This is design question rather than an implementation question. I am building a web start application that will obtain it's data from web service calls. The web service calls will access the database via hibernate. I'm wondering if other people have done this and how they have solved the issue of passing the hibernate objects across the wire as XML. I wrote a prototype that makes the web service call which accesses the database via hibernate and I created DTO's and used the dozer library to populate the DTO's and pass them across the wire to my JWS client. This seems to work, but is fairly burdensome, in particular maintaining the DTO's and the dozer mapping is tedious as well as the fact that if I don't clip my hibernate object graph dozer will cause hibernate to dereference every relationship in the object graph and pass them all across the wire. Does anyone have a good solution for this problem? Has anyone successfully detached the hibernate objects themselves and passed them directly across the wire to the JWS client? Is there an accepted way of passing the data across the wire? Does anyone know of any white papers on such a subject? Thanks for any information you can provide.

    Yes, as part of the jar files that make up the client, I have spring.jar, hibernate.jar, cglib.jar and asm.jar. The spring jar file contains the classes you need in order to call the methods on the server using HTTPInvoker. The hibernate, cglib and asm jar files are needed so that you don't get class not found exceptions when your hibernate enhanced classes are transmitted to the client. Obviously, you also need the same bean classes that you persist on the server to be on the client as well.
    The client can then create new beans, modify them, and modify the "hibernate" collections so that when you send them to the server, hibernate will know their dirty state accordingly. All you need to do is get a session in your server method and hibernate will take care of the rest. Here is a snippet of a typical server method in my code that will create or update a Document object coming from the client. It's as simple as that. To return collections is as simple as returning the result of a criteria or hql query.
    public Document saveDocument(Document document) throws RepositoryException
        Session session = getSession();
        try
            Date now = new Date();
            if (document.getId() == 0)
                document.setCreated(now);
            document.setLastModified(now);
            session.saveOrUpdate(document);
            return document;
        catch (HibernateException ex)
            throw convertHibernateAccessException(ex);
    }You must take care about objects that have references to other objects that are not loaded. If you send them to the client and the client tries to access them, you will get an exception so you must either be aware of this or preload your objects with the related objects that you think you will need on the client. On the server, you don't need to worry about that because hibernate loads them as required (in the same session).
    I suggest you read the spring docs on the HttpInvoker. There's a whole chapter on it and it's very easy to use. Just create an interface and an implementation. The client must include this interface so that it knows what methods it can call.
    As I mentioned earlier, you need only change a couple of config lines to expose your methods via RMI, SOAP etc.

  • Query as a Web Service and In List

    Hi,
    Here is my scenario (Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise SP2):
    - List builder object which returns multiple values
    I want to use those values to filter a Query as a Web Service data connection (to BW based universe). How is that possible?
    My web service contains a Filter defined as <Dimension> In List <Prompt>
    I have tried the following:
    1) Selected multiple rows in the Input Values/Read From section of the connection
    2) Tried to concatenate the individual values using ; and , and then passing the concatenated values to the Read From section of the connection (as one cell)
    1) works fine as long as I just select one value, but when I select multiple values, only the first one is used to filter the QaaWS
    2) Does not work
    Any ideas/suggestion on how to solve this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jacob

    Hello David,
    I tried this feature of BI Services through WebI Rich Client. But I am having problem with sending values for Prompts using Xceslius. Below is the procedure I followed in developing a report and using BI web service to connect to Xcelsius.
    1) Build a report in Web Intelligence rich client along with Query filters (Inlist, Optional Prompts).
    2) Activate BI Service and publish the block after exporting the file.
    3) Use the WSDL URL to connect to Xcelsius from Data Connection (Add as Query As Web Service and Import it).
    4) Method: Get_ReportBlock_<Block name>,
        set input values <Enter_value_s_for_prompt>
            i) Valueofprompt (bind to single values, hard coded)
           ii) Index (leave blank, not binded)
    5) set <refresh> as 1 (or true) and <getfromlatestdocumentinstance> as 0 (false)
    6) Bind the output values to excel and pull a scorecard component to view the data.
    7) Preview the dashboard and now I get this error
                    Cannot Access external Data: String index out of range: -1
    When I remove both the values inserted in step 5, I get complete data (prompt is not applied). I also have a doubt whether I can pass multiple values for the prompt without using + sign to duplicate the Prompt.
    From some of the previous posts I came to know about Value formatting compatibility issue between BI Services and Xcelsius. Which is addressed with two fix packs
    1) XI 3.1 SP2.5 (available since last March) for WebIntelligence Rich Client & BI Services, and
    2) Xcelsius 2008 SP3.1 (available since last April).
    Are these the up to date Fix packs available and will they solve my problem?
    Where can I download them from (SAP Market place)? or from our SAP service consultant?

  • How to update web service proxy in JDeveloper 10.1.3.0

    hi all
    I want to ask how to update web service proxy in JDeveloper 10.1.3.0?

    What do you mean update?
    You can go into the source code and update whatever you want.
    If you mean that the WS spec has changed - then you can either change the proxy manually, or create another proxy.

    Hi Mou,
    I just tried your win app code about calling web service, but failed. I got the 500 error after I called your service:
    The error message I quoted from Fiddler:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode><faultstring>System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Failed : Invalid credentials ---&gt; System.Exception: Invalid credentials
    --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
    at BBAReman.WebSearchIndex.SearchDataIndex.StartIndex(AuthHeader auth)</faultstring><faultactor>http://www.bba-reman.com/Search/SearchDataIndex.asmx</faultactor><detail /></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
    I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
    1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
    2.input your service link and click "Go"
    And you can use this service as the following:
    private async void callService()
    ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient client =new ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient();
    var Str= await client.StartIndexAsync(new ServiceReference1.AuthHeader { Username = "Admin", Password = "Admin" });
    Please try it.

  • Difference between  a WEB service and a Enterprise Service?

    Can Anybody explain me the difference between  a WEB service and a Enterprise Service?

    Hi Anilkumar K Naidu ,
    Web service
    A Web service is a self-contained, modularized functionality, which can be published, discovered, and accessed across a network using open standards and which is supported by SAP NetWeaver. Web services cover services provision for integration within an enterprise as well as cross enterprises on top of any communication technology stack, whether asynchronous or synchronous, in any format.
    Web Services in the NetWeaver framework play an important role in facilitating the integration of disparate applications from various departments or trading partners and thus increasing business productivity. This benefit allows small and medium businesses also to integrate their business applications with larger trading partners. The benefit derived from this seamless integration introduces security concerns when all the business logic is now being exposed through a standard interface that is a catalyst for security vulnerabilities. SAP Security Managers must use automated diagnostics tools to ensure that the security vulnerabilities are caught in pre-production and in post-production phase.

    Enterprise Service
    Enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture (Enterprise SOA)
    Enterprise SOA is a blueprint for an adaptable, flexible, and open IT architecture for developing services-based, enterprise-scale business solutions. With SAP NetWeaver as a technical foundation, enterprise SOA moves IT architectures to higher levels of adaptability – and moves companies closer to the vision of real-time enterprises by elevating Web services to an enterprise level.
    An enterprise service is typically a series of Web services combined with business logic that can be accessed and used repeatedly to support a particular business process. Aggregating Web services into business-level enterprise services provides a more meaningful foundation for the task of automating enterprise-scale business scenarios.

  • Web services and e print not working on 7520e

    After the update it instructed me to turn off my printer so the update could take effect which I did but my printer would not turn back on. leaving it overnight it was the same the next day so I had to unplug it from the wall outlet. I lost my internet connection and no matter what I did I could not get it to connect.I called cloud services who put in a network address of 192.168.223.1 and hung up leaving me with no printer and sending me an email to get my ISP server to fix.
    I called HP support and they got it connected just fine but when I try to log into my printers web page it still has my
    hp email address but when I try to get to the web page it leads me to Launch HP network check.
     on the front of my printer it says unable to connect to the internet, enter a proxy address, my server does not use one.
    I tried to disable web services and then enabled them again hoping to get a new code but no luck. In my own network it has the last digit different to the one being used and set as a static IP address . I was not able to scroll any Apps before any of this happened, is the server down or has anyone any ideas how to fix this. has anyone else got the same problem. The schedulled Apps printed off just fine before this.

    Hello dylon,
    Thank you for being an active member of the HP support community.  I understand that your Photosmart 7520 printer is indicating that it is not connected since doing a firmware update  last week.
    Please start by setting a manual IP address and manual DNS servers.  Please use this post with the steps and screen shots on how to do this.  The screen shots are for the Photosmart 7510 but the steps are the same.
    If you find that you are still unable to connect to web services please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

    <url-pattern>/servlet</url-pattern>
    then /prjServ/servlet works in a browser but of course any other urls (eg /prjServ/servlet/fred) do not.
    If I change the web.xml to be
    <url-pattern>/servlet/*</url-pattern>
    all attempts to access the servlet get requested resource not available.
    The web service continues to work fine whichever mapping I use for the servlet (the web service is /prjServ/mlm).
    Does the web service handling affect the way I can map the servlets?

    No, it should not. For the JAXRPC SI, the web services are implemented
    via one common servler.

  • Envy 100 410A Web Services and Ipod problems

    Hi,
    I purchased the Envy 410A and I'm having a few problems.  I have two Macbooks and a 4th gen Ipod Touch setup on a wireless network with a Linksys WRT100 router.  First, what's working:
    I successfully installed the printer on both computers through USB and I can print wirelessly from each without any difficulties.  (I set a fixed IP address for the printer to avoid having to 'find' it each time it got a new address by DHCP.)
    Here are my problems:
    1) On setup, the printer successfully connected to the HP web service and printed out a code for ePrinting.  I entered this code and was able to print via email.  However, sometime between last night and today (and after I installed 6 updates) the printer reported that it no longer had an email address.  I turned off Web Services to troubleshoot, but now when I try to enable it I get the "Problem Connecting to the Web Services Server" error.  Powercycling the router and/or printer does not fix this.  Nor does turning off the printer's wireless functions for 5 minutes.  I've tried restoring factory defaults, but it did not actually restore anything.  How can I fix this?  Is the server down, or is something screwed up?
    2) My iPod Touch is completely updated to iOS 4.2, bluetooth is turned off, and I've verified that it's on the same network as the printer, but I cannot detect the printer on my iPod either through Apple's AirPrint or through the HP iPhoto App 3.0.  Both just say "No printers found".  This is really frustrating since I bought this with printing from mobile devices in mind.  Any advice?
    Thanks for your help,
    Dave

    I am glad your first problem is resolved. When it comes to iPod having OS 4.2, the device supports AirPrint which is new from Apple.
    For more information on how to use the AirPrint on your iPod refer to below link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c02623193
    If the iPod still does not find the printer, try unchecking the option "Enable Multicast Streams" in the router EWS page and see if it works or not. Contact your router support for more info.

  • Siebel OnDemand Web Services and BPEL II

    We are trying to do a POC for a given client that is trying to decide between SOD and another on demand CRM product.
    Our POC is to integrate SOD using bpel and sending data to a back end system with SOD as the originator and instigator of the flow.
    We intend to take data from an integration event pull it into bpel do a transformation to add data to it and update SOD to complete the circuit.
    We are having a few issues and was wondering if you can provide some insight since we would like to put SOD at this site.
    Our issues are :)
    Issue 1
    When we import the WSDL for the Integration event the scheema's are not resolved.
    Issue 2. When we import more than one WSDL in our flow it has issues with duplicates between the 2 wsdls..
    issue 3.
    We have succesfully used the example application to do our login and faked out the endpoint but have not been able to automate this step.
    We found an example online at oracle ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/siebel/ofm-siebel-blog-postings.html)
    (We got that link from the other BPEL post: Siebel OnDemand Web Services and BPEL
    But when we copy the code into our embeded java object it doesn't work. I think that we may be missing some of the code to use.
    Do we have the full copy of this java object?
    here is hte error that we get from bpel
    Exception reported is: Siebel_On_Demand.bpel:33: Class bpel.p0.URL not found.
    URL wsURL = new URL(wsLocation + "?command=login");

    Siebel_On_Demand.bpel:42: Undefined variable or class name: HttpURLConnection

    We appriciate any help that cam be provided :)
    Thanks

    I'm also trying to do this.
    Some info from the Siebel web services guide:-
    "The login request is an HTTPS request to instantiate a session and obtain a session ID. A client invokes login by sending an HTTP GET request to a URL like the following:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login
    NOTE: The login parameter value is case sensitive.
    ■ Login input. The input to login is provided in the URL parameters and the HTTP headers, as follows:
    ■ The only URL parameter to be set is command. This parameter value is login.
    Two HTTP headers, UserName and Password, must be set with the appropriate values for your system. For example:
    ❏ UserName: [email protected]
    ❏ Password: mypass
    ■ Login output. The login command returns the following items:
    ■ A session cookie, jsessionid. The client must use this cookie when submitting subsequent requests, including logoff requests.
    ■ A status code of 200, if the session does not encounter any errors. This indicates that the request succeeded.
    Then to get data out ....
    Integration request input. The jsessionid returned to the client during login must be included with the request. The request must contain the jsessionid either as a cookie or as a URL parameter, as follows:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/object;jsessionid=xyZ12489w3482413
    Does anyone have any ideas on how we might do this using the Oracle BPEL PM?
    Thanks in advance.
